Walking into the restaurant we got a semi-lifeless greeting from the hostess who did, however, seat us promptly. The server quickly arrived to take our drink order and came back in just minutes with our drinks to take our food order. After taking our food order, we waited, and we waited, and we waited some more. The server came back 3 times to say that our food "would be right out"...yeah...right... When we finally did get our entrees (45 - 50 minutes after placing our orders), the food was barely warm and almost tasteless. We noticed a table close to us that sent their food back for the same issue - it wasn't hot. We were tempted to do likewise but didn't feel like waiting until the Second Coming to get good hot food. Bottom line, I don't think we will go back to this Red Lobster location, despite the fact that our server really tried...the rest of the restaurant isn't up to the competition. Red Lobster is a major franchise so usually it's not much to rave about normally BUT my waiter was the bomb. Usually, the service will make or break my loyalty to a brand. Calvin was so personable, gave amazing suggestions which we loved! I was so impressed! That's the type of service I would expect from an upscale restaurant, so it was great to have that love from my own backyard (not literally). When I named a dressing for my dad, he indicated to switch- good choice. We asked for sauce- he also brought out his favorite which was amazing and a surprise- if you haven't tried the sweet chili sauce, DO IT. When I asked for jalapeños (ya ya I like everything spicy), he came back and let us know that the jalapeños that were out weren't quality so he was waiting for another jalapeño to be cut. Who does that?! Oh wait, my man Calvin. I normally wouldn't even review Red Lobster but this review is for that service which made our meal that much better. Only complaint was the veggies in my taco weren't very fresh, but that's on the kitchen. From big franchises, I typically have to avoid the fresh veggies unfortunately. I've been visiting this same Red Lobster location since I first moved to Snellville, and nothing has changed. The famous Cheddar Bay biscuits are still tasty, but if you're not familiar with seafood and wine pairings, you won't make the most of it. The service was alright, as far as middling-priced restaurants go, and the food was delicious. I ordered the garlic-seasoned mussel appetizer to start, which were delicious, and I'm not a mussel fan! For my main course I had the seaside shrimp trio--which is my usual. For anyone who doesn't know it consists of fried shrimp, shrimp scampi, and shrimp linguini alfredo. I can never finish the entire thing so I usually end up taking it home with me along with my biscuits. All in all, if you're feeling seafood, I'd come here. It's not top-knotch but it is pretty good and decently price. Having lived right by the ocean for the last two years, I've been spoiled by fresh-caught seafood and yes there is a world of difference between having a mussel fresh from the water and having it rushed in ice inland to seafood restaurants. read more

I've been a huge fan of red lobster since a kid. I went here for lunch with a friend and had a some sort of lunch special (can't remember at this moment) a cup of clam chowder which I order every single time I go to red lobster and a super sized pina colada. The service was prompt, the place was moderately full but not overcrowded. Our server was nice, the food was fresh and quick and the bathroom was really clean for a public bathroom. I haven't been to red lobster in years more like decade which prompted me to give a go one last time. Wow, its incredibly B.A.D, the food is so sub-standard. It basically processed, frozen seafood. Same quality or worse that you would find in the frozen food section in your local grocery store. The absolutely worse thing about this whole experience is the prices. Its sky high for what you get. Plates in the $20s and $40s for really low quality food. Pappadeaux prices for frozen food quality. The soup is bad too. Watery, salty chowder. The waitress was really nice and the food was good I ordered the sailors platter and my daughter ordered chicken fingers the flounder was very bland. Not a good experience at all. The food has gone down hill from years ago. It is very cheap quality and nothing is cooked well or seasoned. Everything I ordered was bland. I ordered fish tacos and the tortillas were very cheap and felt stale. The shrimp seemed like frozen shrimp from Walmart and not fresh from the ocean. I was with a party of 5 and every person was disappointed with their food. The pasta Alfredo tasted watered down. The seafood was over cooked and dried out. We felt bad complaining about everything that was not good, but literally everything was bland, tasteless, and cheap tasting. The only tasty thing there was the biscuits! The only positive thing was our waitress. She was very intuitive. There was also no wait on a busy day. This place has GONE DOWN! Needless to say, this was one of my favorite locations, really this was one of my favorite restaurants. Not anymore, especially after today. I mean I understood there was probably going to be a wait but, not one of this magnitude! Very excited on this Mother's Day to get one of my favorite meals, I ended up having to leave after a three and a half hour wait. My name was never called, I mean not to my knowledge, it was so hard to hear the names called, they didn't even have a intercom. There were so many people standing outside, almost everyone there were asking questions about what the line was for or why couldn't we go in to check on our orders, it was such a mess!!! This was THE WORST experience I have ever had at a Red Lobster!! I realize it was Mother's Day, but that is NO EXCUSE for waiting 3 HOURS past the time I was told food would be ready. Where do I begin? The food was great, no complaints with the food quality. HOWEVER, it took almost an hour for the food to come out. We had to ask another waitress to update us on the status of the food. The manager then comes out and apologizes and said there was a mixup in the kitchen. I will avoid this location from now on--the service has been hit or miss in the past. On our last trip a few weeks ago (for Endless Shrimp), we had a really bad experience. The waitress may as well have been non-existent because we never received drink refills, our food took forever to come out, and then we just didn't see our waitress again--we never even had the opportunity to order more shrimp so by "endless shrimp" they apparently mean "you get one order and then you are done". We asked someone else for our check after sitting for nearly an hour after running out of food and drinks, and only then did our waitress reappear with the bill. Other tables were similarly upset with the service. The best part is that I actually took the time to fill out the survey on the receipt and asked to be contacted about our experience. No one greet us when we walked in or thanked us when we left. It took over ten minutes to order waters and drinks. Our appetizer came out with no plates to share. Entrees came out missing side dishes. Food was good. The mashed potatoes with lobster sauce is very good. Lobster tacos is also good. OH MY GOD. Ok so I'm just gonna start off by saying that the staff is always incredible and the biscuits always satisfy my needs. Normally, red lobster is a great place if you don't live by the coast and want some nice seafood and I normally have a great time. Although, you'd think because they are a SEAFOOD place they would know how to cook actual seafood! I ordered the snow crab legs (that's what I normally get) and I was so excited because I haven't had some in so long, until I took a bite. This shit tasted like it just came out of the water. I kid you not, 2 minutes after I ate it, I ran to the bathroom and I threw up! I notified my waitress and the manager and they did take it off my bill which was great but still can't help the awful feeling I have in my stomach. They arrived with our salads after ordering. About 20 minutes later our food came but we were missing 2 of the 7 meals we ordered. I have been here several times over the years and not until recently did I have the desire to write a review. First off when you walk in you are hit in the face with this horrible musty odor. I do not know if it was the lobster tank with the one lonely lobster or the carpet. It leaves you with the feeling that the place needs a good scrub down. Secondly, It was so dark you could not see across the room until your eyes adjusted. The place needs updating. Lose the lobster tank it is so 1970's. Thirdly, the food was nothing to be impressed about. The only thing I liked was the biscuits and I have made better at home. The Cesar salad was limp, the shrimp was swimming in garlic butter and the lobster mashed potatoes were not impressive. The lobster was dry and chewy. However, the waitress we had was very polite. The worst ever. I have been to Red Lobster before, but I must say the food was horrible here. As soon as we got here, the hostess was rude. We had to wait a few minutes before she even acknowledged us there. When we were seated, I noticed a musty, old hotel smell and asked the server if we were being seated in a smoking section. We were told there is no smoking allowed here. You could have fooled me! I ordered the crab linguini with a side salad. The salad was drowning in dressing. Next the main course arrived and it tasted just like plastic. Since it was Easter day, I figured I could try to eat it, but after the second, miserable bite, I just could not force myself to eat anymore of it. I do not recommend eating here. I had a good over all experience at this red lobster. The waitress was outstanding and the speed of service left nothing to be desired. We never felt rushed nor unwelcome. However 38th a 50.00 Bill for 3 people I expect the food to be cooked to perfection. The popcorn shrimp came out very overcooked. It was very disappointing that all three meals couldn't be enjoyed together. The waitress recognized the problem and brought a complete remake of the entire dish. Had family and friends (15) in town for my ministerial license and we chose this restaurant over Pappadeaux..big mistake. We had reservations for certain time 7:30pm and the restaurant had not prepared for us. Manager on duty (Mr. Larry) showed no remorse or effort to seat our party. He never communicated the wait time nor even apologized for the wait time. Front desk person Ms. Kennedi showed negative attitude towards our party and even commented "why did we wait so late to come in". November 20, 2018: Sadly, this Red Lobster restaurant in Snellville, GA delivers extremely poor service. As one in a party of 8, we were seated about noon. The waitress took almost 25 minutes to get all our tea and water to the table before she took our order. It was almost as if she Intended to provide bad service and to be as slow as possible. We were served our meals about 1:00pm. Restaurant was almost empty, which for lunch should "tell" the manager something about how bad their service is if business people avoid eating there. I kept craving Red Lobster for some strange and very strong reason...the ghetto ones on Lavista (cannot tell you how many times we went in that one and left before even ordering!!) and the extra ghetto Candler Rd one was a resounding 'hell no!" The Duluth location has personnel who use toilet and not wash hands...I witnessed a cook doing just that! Eww!!! Okay so this Snellville Red Lobster is primo!!! I always go to this one for all the right reasons!!! Beautiful views, excellent, prompt FRIENDLY SERVICE!!! Great food!!! Dinner is kinda pricey for a chain, but it is seafood and seafood is expensive. I discovered that there is a every day lunch menu with budget friendly prices, like the Sailor Platter for only $11.99!!! The cheese bisquits and salad will help fill up, comes with sides.
