We came to celebrate my husbands birthday and left before even getting a drink. Absolutely horrible customer service. Was accused of having a fake ID because of the california ID redesign. The lady came up and hounded our table and when we explained the IDs have been redesigned she tried to show us her ID so we could "see what a real ID looks like". We insisted they were real and to ask her manager but instead of doing that she continued to tell us they were fake. When she finally left to ask someone else. She came back and gave a half ass apology. We then talked to the manager about how rude and off putting the exchange was. To which he claimed the alcohol laws are strict and she was just doing her job. If so strict staff should be aware of what the state they work in ID looks like then! My family and I enjoy going to red lobster for the nostalgia. It's one of the first places we got to try seafood and lots of memories tied to it. We were surprised how busy it was for a Wednesday evening. When we put our names down, we weren't told how long the wait would be, but it was only 20 minutes or so. If you havent been to this location, i dont imagine it varies much from the others. There is a bar at the entrance, along with a tank filled with live lobster. Our 2 year old companion was fascinated by them. The restaurant has a warm lighting, that is still bright enough to be able to read the menus. We were greeted warmly by our waitress as soon as we were seated and we got our drink orders in, shortly followed by our meals. My mom and I were disappointed when our usual order of Bahama mama contained too much rum and it looked like it had been sitting for a while since the colors weren't as distinct and vibrant. But eh...I just enjoyed more of those delicious cheddar biscuits. Overall, we were happy with our meals. I'm always a fan of the butter they have. It's always a great combination for my lobster and crab legs. Although, I will say some of my crab legs were dry but it was still satisfying. Our plates were always cleared once they were done and our server did a great job of checking on us in a consistent manner. Stopped by for a quick lunch on our way home and very disappointed. Do not sit by the restrooms, the woman's restroom smelled like wet dirty animals. Couldn't even enjoy eating from the smell. Then our order of endless clam chowder with salad & biscuits sucked! The clam chowder was thin & watery, they no longer have thousand island which I like, so I was bummed with my salad. Red Lobster's new TV advertising campaign reminded us to give the restaurant a try. We hadn't been there in a long time. We met with two friends, and all enjoyed a wonderful dinner. We ordered their three-course shrimp special. I had a house salad, coconut shrimp for an appetizer and garlic-butter shrimp scampi for the main, with a loaded baked potato on the side. My husband ordered clam chowder, fried shrimp and fettucine with shrimp. Our friends had variations of the above, including cole slaw. Everything was delicious. Of course, the endless supply of their famous Chedder Bay biscuits are, by themselves, worth the trip. We arrived right before 6 PM (the end of Happy Hour), and were able to order a margarita and a 20-oz draft beer, each for $5. The margarita was outstanding...I would probably go back just for THAT! Our server was courteous, prompt and very knowledgeable about the menu. She even brought us a few biscuits to take home at the end of the meal! One of the things I really appreciate about Red Lobster is the intimate layout of the restaurant. Since it's divided into different seating areas, one can experience a QUIET dinner. Came here after a day at six flags since they are open until 11:00. First time at a red lobster and was a little disappointed. Place was clean, but service was lacking. Never got to try their cheddar biscuits after I asked for them twice. Drinks definitely pre-made and come from a jug, must have been towards the bottom as it tasted awful. My family's go-to spot when we are craving shrimp, crab, or lobster. We always go to the SCV location because the service is great. Today I was served by Danny and he was phenomenal! He brought out a basket of the complimentary cheddar bay biscuits as soon as I arrived, and they were soooo good! I ordered the white wine and roasted garlic mussels. It is an appetizer for $15.29 but I ordered it as my main entree. It was huge and I brought half of it home. I highly suggest signing up for their lobster rewards program--they will send you tons of freebies to use on your visits so it is totally worth it. Took a little time for our drink order but we enjoyed our appetizers. The drinks came shortly after. I brought my mother and my daughter's for Mother's Day spent a lot of money only to find out that the sticker that identifies the seafood was lodged into my daughter's lobster tail. Visited Before COVID Whenever we are in this area (Magic Mountain), we usually eat here before heading home. It's a little pricy, but we love their seafood dishes and especially their bread. We always ask for more bread. I haven't seen any new commercials since COVID, so I guess they haven't had any specials or new dishes lately. The shrimp dishes are very good except the shrimp always look so tiny in size as if they were caught before being fully matured. It can get pretty busy here so I would highly recommend looking over the menu while you wait so that by the time that you are seated, you are ready to order. Plenty of free parking. read more

OK so it's Red Lobster.... It was a joke in my family that we would go there for celebrations. Kind of like an Olive Garden thing. A typical restaurant chain with average food. I WAS WRONG!! We have been to this location multiple times lately and every time it has been delicious!! Food is served hot, tasty and served with a smile by incredibly nice waitpersons. We have had lobster. Shrimp, salmon, and even the steak and we have all been very happy with the food! Can't really ever get enough of the Cheddar Bay biscuits !! The side salad with the lime dressing is outstanding. Lousy service! The restaurant was approx 70% empty and we still had to wait over 45 minutes after we ordered, for our food to come! The waiter didnt even come around to refill our drinks. I even went to look for a manager to complain. Then when we were ready to leave, I had to go look for the waiter to pay the bill. Today I got the Ultimate Endless Shrimp ($23.99). Basically you get 2 of the following at a time: Parmesan bacon shrimp scampi, Parrot isle jumbo coconut shrimp, shrimp linguini Alfredo, Walt's favorite shrimp, garlic shrimp scampi, Argentine red shrimp + one side. All of these were fantastic - and I'd like to give special mention to their Caesar salad which is (and has always been) off the chain. Also, if you download their app they have great rewards like free beverages, apps & desserts at lower levels and full meals if you are a regular customer. I ordered a burger plain for my mini bulldog and the server at the bar, who was RJ, attentive as heck brought me the whole dish with the bread, plain and fries. They have limited vegetarian options, I can't say they have no vegetarian options, you can get a baked potato, French fries, the bread, which is amazing, I guess I could have ordered the pasta without the seafood. I did get the Ceasar salad, but beware the anchovies that are probably in the dressing. My friend got the shrimp linguini alfredo which looked more like a scampi. The service was average, the server knew the menu and was knowledgeable. The ambiance is appropriate. I did love all the east coast decor in the walls, the lighthouse and other east coast decor has an interesting visual appeal. The restaurant was mostly empty at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon, if red lobster would add some vegetarian items and vegan options they may get more customers.
