I went to the steakhouse on July 3, 2026 and they were seemingly understaffed. I stayed patient. Although when I got my food, I had to wait about five minutes to get a steak sauce because the Bartender was rather busy with other things. Then I realized when I got home that I did not get my order premium side broccoli with cheese side. I did have a lot of food so in the moment it did not matter, but then I also felt like I was gypped of what I had paid for. Then I returned again on July 7 because I wanted some red meat but when I got my food order home, I realized after cutting into my steak it was not cooked well done and un edible. (I always order well) I also paid in cash when I went to the restaurant and did not receive a receipt. I did tell the manager while I was there about the broccoli missing from my previous visit and she did not seem interested in making anything better I told her to just at least let their staff know to make sure they bring out all of the food items with their customers orders and went on my way. We dined in on Thursday around 7:40pm and were immediately seated at a table. There were probably about 4-5 other seated parties during this day/time. If I remember correctly, our waitress's name was Lori and she had such a positive attitude. She was quick with our drinks and the refills, always made sure we had hot bread, and was accommodating when we asked to have our checks split based on the item ordered. The Bloomin' Onion has and will always be our table's favorite appetizer to order. I ended up ordering the Hooley Dooley Grilled Shrimp with a side of baked potato soup, as well as an upgraded premium side of Mac n cheese. I enjoyed the soup, and the mac n cheese was too large for me to finish - so definitely worth the upcharge for the premium side. Overall, total for my grilled shrimp, mac n cheese and baked potato soup was $31. I did feel like that was pretty expensive for the amount of shrimp that was provided. My partner got the Aussie Steak Sammie. I did not try it, but I personally thought it looked better in the photo on the menu.. My boyfriend and I went last night for some dinner. Service was fine,, gentleman that took our order did great. He had the kookaburra wings with some fries, and I had the 14.99 special with includes a cup of baked potato soup, a blossom burger with fries, and slice of cheesecake. After I received my cup of soup. It took quite a while for us have our entrees arrive. My burger was okay.. it needed salt and pepper. As I was a little more than half way thru our meal, I had tummy issues. We kind of had expectations, this being a chain restaurant. When the food is the same, one way to stand out is the service. Not only did Jade, our server, take good cater of us- every single person that interacted with us was super pleasant and made us feel great about our choice to eat here! The filet mignon was exceptional. French onion soup and wedge salad were delicious. My daughter had the potato soup which she enjoyed and the only food we would not order again was the Mac and cheese. In fairness we were kind of Mac n cheese snobs lol. I also ordered a loaded baked potato, which was so small I honestly didn't know they harvested potatoes that size. The wait for our food was also excessive--we waited nearly 45 minutes, and I almost walked out. I convinced myself I was maybe being impatient, but that changed once I saw a manager or supervisor seemingly working as a hostess while the line to be seated continued to grow. Most people probably wouldn't think of Outback Steakhouse for a salad, but I love theirs!! I get a double house salad and add grilled chicken. Their ranch dressing is my favorite. Of course, I have to have their warm bread to go with my meal and I'm always too full for dessert. . I've never had a poor service experience and it's just always a comfortable place to have a mid-priced meal. I haven't been to outback steakhouse in over 15 years and it still looks exactly the same as it was over 15 years ago. The food quality is what they're known for. The bloomin onion is their staple item but it is one of the worst foods you can eat of all time. It is loaded with fat and calories but it is delicious. I didn't order it this time. I ordered the chicken with melted cheese and bacon grilled. Not the greatest for you, but it was small anyway. It came with 2 sides. One of them was broccoli and the other was asparagus. The asparagus cost another 3$ as it was a premium side. The complimentary wheat bread was warm and quite good. I enjoyed the flavor. The other dish ordered was a steak and shrimp combo with bread toast and butter and a side of sweet potato. It too was heavy and filling but also tasted delicious. The only problem with both these dishes was the price to quantity. The quality was amazing, but I had to make more food at home to compensate for the lack of filling at least from my meal. The other dish was heavy so it can be dismissed. Service was average. The waiter was slow and helped other people before helping us. He ignored us for a couple minutes to help another table with attractive women. Of course, he would go to the women, they were hot. But eventually he came by and filled up our water glasses and checked on our table periodically. The only issue was the wait time to receive the food was high. We waited about 20 minutes to retrieve the food and at least we were not disappointed. The ambiance was nice and comfy. I like it more than stonefire and woodranch. Less people and less noise. Also, more light makes it easier to see things unlike the other two. Food quality is still top notch and this is why they are succeeding over many years. I would probably come back again with a friend or by myself in the future unless I move to another state. Overall, great place for any occasion although there are some flaws. read more

I was looking forward to eating here, but I was very disappointed. We ordered New York Steak with peppercorn sauce, Aussie course meal ( Grilled Chicken), and Filet Mignon. New York Steak: It was not flavourful at all. I could tell that the meat was also not a good quality as it has weird gelatinous like spots on it. I also ordered their peppercorn sauce, but this one was sour tasting. I couldn't really tell what ingredient that was, but it overpowered the taste. I was wondering if it was spoilt, but I can't really confirm that. I would like to add that I had broccoli as a side, and it was mushy. I feel like they microwaved it, rather than steam it properly. Grilled Chicken: It was dry and unenjoyable to eat. My son is usually a big fan of grilled chicken, but he didn't really eat much of it. He also had fries as a side, and at first bite it was nice and crunchy, but it leaves a weird aftertaste in your mouth. It's like the cooking oil hasn't been replaced for a very very long time, and it started tasting musty and acrid. Filet Mignon: It was alright. The good thing I can say about this was that, it maintained the tenderness of a Filet Mignon but that was about it. It still lacks flavour and enjoyment when eating this steak. We had their ceasar salad as a side and that was also mediocre. Although I must say that the greens were in a good shape and slightly crunchy. Overall, very disappointing trip to this restaurant. Now the wait begins...40 min later no food, no one came by to ask or went to the kitchen (5 feet away) to see what's up with my order. I finally went up to the bar tender and said,"I gotta go back to work". He said that fine, your good, then he said... I was wondering what is taking your food so long. Oh so you realized the food had not come and that the food had taken a very long time, yet you did not walk 5 steps into the kitchen to see where my food was, nor did you send someone into the kitchen to check on my food. Sadly I can't remember our server's name, but she was amazing and super attentive! What a difference location makes. After our disastrous local Bakersfield Outback experience, we were hesitant to give Outback another go. We were pleasantly surprised at this location. Nice clean well kept dining area, lighting and decor all Outback. Warm friendly greeting at the hostess station. Seated in Jeremy's section, and he couldn't have been more kind, pleasant and welcoming. Blooming onion was crisp and tasty with the signature sauce and ranch on the side. We shared the Queensland chicken and shrimp. Very nice. Robust Alfredo sauce topped with a perfectly seasoned and grilled chicken breast and shrimp. So happy with our dinner.
