It's the middle of the holiday so yeah they run out of things and the truck hasn't come yet so there's no Pepsi and there's no steak for the special. We ended up getting fish and chips and the kids mac & cheese with broccoli. Food took about a half an hour or so after we placed it to come out. The pieces of fish were small, the hush puppies were so overcooked they were hollow inside. I chose potato over fries and it was good. I always enjoy a good coleslaw though theirs is a bit creamier than I like. Kids meal was hot and tasty. We were never checked back on so drinks were never refilled. Family No Adventure!!! My son, wife and I have frequented this establishment for years. It was our special place to take him alone, without the siblings. It's so disappointing to see so many low reviews they have, but I agree. It's a very slow Monday night, this restaurant isn't even half full. I sit at the bar, and a manager that came to the bar didn't even acknowledge me. Not good. We had been here once before and decided to give it another chance, what a mistake. It was my birthday and I really wanted to have lobster. Ordered the Wednesday special of steak and lobster. The lobster tail was very small and instead of the lobster meat being white, it was a funny pink color. It didn't taste right and it certainly was not fresh and was hard to chew. The steak was also very chewy. The Pina Coladas didn't taste very good either. My husband had the mahi mahi, and he said it tasted like plastic. Not fresh either. He said the broccoli had a funny taste and my cole slaw didn't taste good either. The waitress, Diane, tried very hard to do a good job, but there were hardly any people there, I can see why. What a disappointment on my birthday. Will never go back again. We had a gift card, so went here New Years Eve around 4:00 PM. There were 4 of us. When we walked in there, the hotness was about to seat us. Until the woman behind the counter was like "You need to check with me before you seat anyone". So we sat back down and waited. 15 minutes goes by. The hostess goes behind the counter with the, I assume manager. They are sitting there taking this 1 woman's order, while we are waiting 20 mins, about 6 or 7 people come in, and are just standing there, mostly elderly. They don't even look at them, speak to them, nothing. Someone in my party finally went up and told the woman. This ain't an appropriate time to be teaching someone how to do To Go Orders. The woman got an attitude, and we ended up walking out. Fast forward 2 weeks. We order To Go on the weekend. Says the food is supposed to be out at 3:56, at 3:53 I get a text saying the food is about to be on the way out. 10 minutes later we call and say where is our order? They said they will check on it. 10 minutes later, we call again, "I will check on it now". Finally my crippled dad went inside and said where is my order. We are bagging it up now. 30 minutes after it said it was coming out, we got it. The food was not warm, and the Shrimp Pasta was awful and bland and was like $22. I can cook Shrimp Linguini at home, that is SO MUCH better. Save your Money, Save your Taste buds, Save your Patience, & Stay at home or go somewhere else. I know we will from no on. Let just say this review is base on this one visit. Went for supper after a long day of traveling. Sat down at 5:30 and the waitress came and got our drink orders. When she returned with our drinks she took our order. The wife and I both ordered the endless shrimp. After 40 minutes we watched our food be delivered to the table across from us and they did not realize it wasn't theirs until they started eating it. They told the waitress their order was wrong and she figured out what had happened so she told us they were remaking ours. At 7:00 we still had not got our first bite of shrimp. I paid $37 for an inedible lobster that I took home to my puppies. They managed to chew it with their sharp teeth. I refused to eat it as what I tasted wasn't good. My meal wasn't edible for people only dogs. I would like my $81 back as that's what it cost. No wonder so many are closing. Red lobster On December 29th I was at the winter haven Red Lobster location on 230 Cypress Garden Blvd. I was with my family and I personally ordered the full dinner portion of Crab Linguini Alfredo. After waiting over 45 minutes the plate arrived. The portion was clearly not a full potion and it resembled a half portion. I asked the waitress if this was a full portion and she said it was. I have included a photo of the portion of this meal. Also the meal apparently no longer comes with a salad and after eating at Red Lobster for over 30 years I have always gotten a salad with dinner. This is by far the worst experience I have had at Red Lobster due to the quality and portion of the food. Paying $20.99 for a half portion of this meal and not to get a salad is shocking to say the least. I do not blame the waitress or the manger at this location. I blame corporate and their attempt at saving money. What major food chain no longer gives a salad with a dinner meal. Also the portions have shrunk by half and this is also corporate attempting to make more profit. This evening my fiancé and I went into red lobster on cypress garden. We walked in at 7:20. As the hostess was about to get us a table the phone rang. He politely asked us to wait. He didn't know much about the menu or specials is what I heard about. Waited about 3 minutes. Once he was done with his call another one came in and had asked one of the 8 employees hanging out around the bar to please pick it up so we could be seated. Being the only waitress and "short staffed" it would have been nice to get some of the other employees to help her fill orders or at least ask for our drink order. Our dinner came out pretty quick. One steak was way under cooked while the other was okay. Brussels sprouts (2.99) up-charge were burnt to the point they were inedible. Manger was able to get this off our ticket. I ordered the 12 oz NY Strip...or at least I tried to. I was told they were out of it. Now the beef and chicken portion of the menu is pretty small and that section is what I am limited to since as I said, I don't care for seafood. And not having the best non-seafood option on the menu is a bad sign. The 7 oz sirloin is too small. As is the filet. I love chicken alfredo but not "cajun" chicken alfredo. The maple chicken entree sounded in a word, gross. That left the cheeseburger. Please bring me a cheeseburger and fries, hold the tomato and pickle. And about 15 minutes later our waitress returned to tell me that they were out of burgers as well. "I brought you a menu if you'd like something else." she offered. No. I'm done. I was actually curious as to how it took the cooks fifteen minutes to figure out they didn't have any burgers but decided not to poke the bear and ask questions whose answers would probably only irritate me. We love Red Lobster. And when we lived in Hawaii, it was our favorite place to go in waikiki. This was our first time dining at Winter Haven, FL location. After an awesome day at Legoland, we all hoped to get some good endless shrimp at the nearby winter Haven Red Lobster location. We ordered endless shrimp but waited for 2 hours and never received any refills we ordered. So we asked for our bill ready to leave and noticed other people still waiting for their food. And keep seeing more new people come in and be sitting the a table and probably won't get their food any time soon in the next 2-3 hours from the time they're sitting and so disappointed for our special day. This is not even a weekend, and they weren't very busy. Food wasn't as good as normal. Hopefully, this location gets better with their service! Although a lot of empty tables were seen, we waited for about 30 minutes to be seated. At the end, we left without having dinner in there.
