The lemon wings were outstanding, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The fries were a pleasant surprise. You wouldn't expect fries at a pizza place to be this good, but they were excellent. My dad is very picky about his fries, and he loved them. I have the same pet peeve about Tabasco sauce because I wouldn't call Tabasco sauce as hot sauce. For pizza I would say they are as good as and may even be a small step up from Costco pizza. I think the pepperoni is much better than that of Costco but it is about double the price while being about 1/2 smaller. Tastewise I do prefer this one. I ordered the Dad Joke pizza and a Martinelli's apple juice, and I will absolutely give credit where it's due--the pizza and apple juice were fantastic. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. My friend ordered the garlic parmesan chicken wings, and they were extremely greasy and had virtually no flavor. My bigger issue was the service--or lack of it. You scan the QR code at the table, place your own order, pay in advance and add your tip before you've received any service. I have no problem with ordering electronically, but after paying and tipping, no one checked on our table even once. We needed water, silverware, napkins, ranch, etc., and every time we needed something, we had to find or flag down an employee ourselves. There were five of us at the table and we all paid separately. One person never received the fries she had PAID for. When we finally got someone's attention, the response was basically, "You already got your fries. We only have one order of fries." She had to pull up her receipt and show that she had purchased her own order. The employee looked at the receipt, said nothing, walked away, and eventually brought the fries. No apology. Nothing. At one point I personally walked up to ask for ranch because, again, no one was checking on the table. I was greeted with a rude, "What do you need?" Excuse me? I've already ordered my own food, paid for it, tipped in advance, and now I have to repeatedly get up from my table to get basic things myself--and I'm being treated as though asking for ranch is an inconvenience? But what really bothered me happened the next day. My actual receipt shows that my order was $29.50, plus $3.22 tax and a $5.90 tip, for a TOTAL OF $38.62. Yet the charge showing on my account from Fieldwork Brewing is $46.34. That is $7.72 MORE than the receipt I was given. I have screenshots of both. I understand that restaurants are moving toward QR-code ordering, but if customers are expected to order for themselves, pay in advance, tip in advance, and then get up every time they need water, napkins, utensils, condiments, or help with a missing order, what exactly are we tipping for? Good pizza, but the customer service was disappointing, dismissive, and nowhere near what I would expect after being asked to tip before receiving service. And the discrepancy between my receipt and the amount charged to my account needs an explanation.

The broth was rich, flavorful, and so good that I wished I had more bread for dipping. But I made it do what it do! The chicken piccata was also delicious, especially with all those capers. My only criticism was that the chicken breast had not been pounded thin enough. The center was very thick and reminded me more of a chicken breast prepared for a sandwich. I left that thicker portion, but the thinner, properly pounded part was amazing. I received a special birthday dessert, which I shared with my companion, so I took the tiramisu home along with my leftover chicken. Let me tell you, that tiramisu was absolutely delicious. I would return just to order it for takeout! Our table also shared the crab and avocado salad appetizer. It was beautifully presented and delicious, but at approximately $27, I did not feel it was worth the price. Then again, Paradiso is not necessarily where you go when you are overly concerned about the cost, so keep that in mind. I was also underwhelmed by the focaccia. Four pieces cost $4, and I did not think it was worth it. With a prix fixe meal, I feel the bread should have been included. One thing to be aware of is that ordering the prix fixe lunch results in a 20% automatic gratuity being added to the entire bill. This was not clearly explained beforehand. It was not a major issue, but it was important to know when it came time to determine whether an additional tip was expected. The service was excellent. Our server knew it was my birthday and was attentive, accommodating, and never made us feel rushed. Each course arrived only after we had finished the previous one, so we were able to relax and enjoy the experience. The ambience was curious. It was an open space and is very loud. Other conversations were easily overheard so probably not a good place to go if you want a quiet meal. Overall, I give Paradiso 4.5 out of 5 stars. The last time was in May when I tried to pre-ordered 2 XL special pizzas to pick up at 11-11:15 am the next morning. The gentleman wasn't very friendly when I asked to pick up as early as possible. He ended up quoting me around $140 for 2 pizzas. I asked how much is each pizza because the price I saw on the website was way less than what he said. He got irritated and said:" we have to pay for someone to come early to prepare your order, so there's extra fees." Why didn't you tell me in advance that there will be extra fees if I want to pick up 15 minutes after they open so we don't have to waste each other's time? No thank you! Won't be ordering from this place in the future for morning party.
