Horrible service! I came in as a walk-in and had asked for an Acrylic Gel Full Set. Once in the chair we confirmed the price of $55 and continue the service. When he got to glueing the tips i asked for medium length and when he put the clippers to the nail i continuously asked for him to cut the nail longer , and he still cut them shorter than an active length nail. Once you go shorter you can't go longer and he wasn't willing to fix his mistake! Already irritated and annoyed i go to pay and he ups the price $10 more than the one we agreed upon . Highly regret coming here and won't be returning. read more

Upon entering, we were properly greeted - everyone was nice - low star rating is for the quality of the service performed. I initially went in for a pedicure and a full set of acrylic nails. I was led to the educate chairs and my tech (a gentleman) began my pedi. I am used to getting pedicures regularly and immediately got the sense that my service was being rushed and I didn't get what I normally get at other salons. Service felt rushed and half done in my opinion. I am a Dallas cowboy fan and requested that he paint 2 stars on each large toe. The stars he made were HORRIBLE. They don't even look like Dallas cowboy stars and they are crooked and looks to me like an elementary school child drew it. At this point I just figured I'd just stay quiet and never come back. I then told the gentleman that I won't be getting my nails done. I wasn't about to take any more chances. The kicker to this all is when I presented with my bill my total was $90. I requested the $25 pedicure - the basic. He painted those horrible stars , ok I understand there's a price even tho they don't look good. But $90???? NO WAY. I questioned the bill and he giggled and said something in the way of "oops" and began to recalculate. This here REALLY upset me, I felt it was done PURPOSELY. I ended up paying $70ish and at that point I'm over it. I'll just pay and NEVER come back. I should have read the reviews before walking in but it was a random thing between me and my friend. If you want to be late for your appointment, go ahead they'll take you no matter what time you arrive. But if you're early or on time and someone else was late before you, guess you're sorta outta luck, especially if you're in a time crunch and made an appointment at a specific time for a reason. So I went in the other day and I was treated so poorly. The nail tech was very rude . Honestly felt as if he didn't want to do my nails and I was a inconvenience coming in , he was filing my nails so much with the hand peace that it started to burn. He even made my natural nails so weak they started breaking off , never had that issue before first time ever. Even my pinky finger was bleeding a little . Stumbled across this place because my family lives around the area. Popped in just to ask for pricing on Ombré Acrylic Nails. They were able to take me in right away and the price was perfect. They also don't charge extra for gel as my top coat! Hannah is amazing. She is so sweet. She took her time and takes pride in her work. She did an amazing job and my pedi! If I could give negative stars I would. I have been getting my nails done for roughly 3 years, so I know the process. I went in there today to take off my acrylic nails. He starts to trim them all down. And on my pinky and middle my actual nail splits all the way down my finger. They are all in a crazy amount of pain. When I asked for his business license and his cosmetology license, suddenly he can't speak English or show them to me. He proceeds to take all of them down and run to the back. Too expensive for the work they do. I got acrylics and they are so THICK and the shape is not smooth. One of the workers tried so hard to convince my mom to get gel nails and then got upset when she said no. Even when we left my mom immediately said her lady was rude. The lady working on my nails gave me gel without even asking if I wanted them (which I didn't). Their sign says acrylics start at $25 so tell me how my short nails came out to $55? (Also got teased for wanting short nails because I need to type for work?) I asked for gold flakes on my nails and they wanted to charge $5 PER FINGER. I definitely won't be going back here. Today, I was getting my manicure and gel pedicure with Kristine. She regularly does a good job but today she didn't finish my gel pedicure and she started doing my manicure in such a rush while she didn't finish my pedicure and she was standing up doing my manicure. I had to tell more than one time to remove the cuticle correctly. So, I asked why she was doing my manicure in a rush. She finally, took to the area where she is supposed to be the manicure. She starting to rush again in cutting my cuticle again until she cut wrong and I starting bleeding on my cuticle . I told her to stop and I wanted to talk to the honor. She was trying to charge for an unfinished pedicure $55. If they are rushing to get nail services done for the next appointment. That is the worst way to give a nail service. read more

Went here for over two years. Absolutely loved them, especially my nail tech Hannah. Unfortunately, the manager has kind of ran it into the ground. Sure, they have plenty of customers but the quality of care has gone way down. He books them so full that most times you will see his mother, whom I would like to point out is unlicensed, start the pedis for numerous techs in the salon but she is not allowed to finish them by law because she is not licensed so that's wherein the problem lies. The minute the tech gets caught up they take her place and most times your massage gets skipped or skimped on. Pretty sure that's everyone's favorite part and what makes one come back time and time again, besides that the nails need to be pretty. Had been going to Red Persimmons for a little over two years after moving here from Cali as they were the closest salon to my new home. Unfortunately during my last appointment in July, the attendant caused injuries to my foot while not paying attention to what she was doing and it resulted in significant pain at the time and for many days after. It was not only disappointing to endure such painful blunders during service but after being a loyal customer for more than two years, I wasn't offered a discount or any sort of compensation for that matter. I am giving them two stars instead of one because the salon is clean but I won't be back and found an alternate local salon that I like very much instead. read more

The woman who did my pedicure drew blood on my heel and the pad of my toe. When I winced she shoved my foot back in the water and said nothing. She had trouble working while talking and she talked to the woman working next to her continually, yet said nothing to me. Nothing. I will give 2 stars because at the end I got the nails the way i wanted, but when it comes to customer service and how much they are committed to, I would give minus 2 stars. I had an appointment for mani pedi. The lady took me without even knowing why I'm there. If you ask for simple stuff they cannot understand you because their English is super bad. On the top of it while they are working they are talking to each other without making sure that the client is ok and comfortable with the work. The girl that did my nails was a beginner obviously, so it took an hour longer than it supposed to and nobody cared. The prices are fair but I can see why. My appointment started off a bit rocky. I didn't love the first color I chose, so I asked my technician to use a different color on the next coat. Halfway through, after getting a lot of paint on my fingers, she walked away and handed me off to the technician next to her, who was in the middle of his own appointment. I was a bit confused, but didn't want to make a big deal out of it or keep him from his appointment. He did a great job finishing my nails, but wasn't able to get all of the gel paint off of my fingers. He finished quickly and practically shooed me out of there. I'm so confused. I've had May do my nails several times and this last time Annie did a phenomenal job on my stiletto/almond nails. I walked in with no appointment for a pedicure and it was great. I immediately noticed how the cleanliness of the place. I was acknowledged as I came through the door and promptly seated to begin. My Nail Technician was awesome and did a great job. She made me feel welcomed and not rushed. If you run a lot like me, I highly suggest the Luxury Pedicure to remove all the dead skin. Horrible customer service!!! You would think they would take care of their regular customers but that's the problem with most nail salons. I have been going to this place over a year multiple times a month. I usually get the same lady and she does a decent job for the most part. I walked in on Wednesday and she had a new guy do them this time. Of course she swore he was good. I have been getting white gel all year, after about 2-3 weeks+ the nails tend to turn brown a bit. Well, the shape was horrible for one, and the very next day they turned brown! I went back in Friday and the same guy got an attitude and said it was something I did. He redid them and blamed it on the gel being old. Also said if they turn brown again just come back in. Two days later, of course I had to come back because of the color changing. I walk in and they act like I'm inconveniencing them! I sat there 30 minutes after I told them the problem. No one was willing to fix the mistake they made! Just ridiculous. Also a few months back, I picked out a mint color. I don't pay much attention while getting them done, I just expect a good job. I look at my nails when they are finished and I had a dark teal!!! I couldn't believe I had this hideous color. He blamed the nail swatch to be lighter than the normal color from it being lightened from the sun! No, you numbered the colors wrong! I was waiting for some work to get done on my car so I walked over here and got a manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was very nice and relaxing so I decided to get the manicure also. My nails look awesome. I had them do a gel french manicure but James left almost all of my cuticles a bloody mess and he also filed a part of my pinky finger so now that is red and raw. I've had many manicures and sometimes they knick a cuticle but almost all of my fingers were bloody. So I had to edit this review. Even though my cuticles were bloody and tender for a couple of days my gel polish did not chip for a month. I've never had one last so long ever before. It almost makes me want to go back.... So, I called about a week in advanced asking if they were open on Sundays. Since they were, I made an appointment for 4pm. I got there around 3:58pm and it was a full house. I mean packed, with no open nail techs available. There were also more people waiting for their turn sitting in the waiting area. When I walked in, I let them know that I had an appointment for 4pm. They asked for my name twice and then continued working on the clients they were already with. WTH. I proceeded to sit down, hoping that some extra nail tech would come out from the back. Nope. A few minutes later, three other girls came in with an appointment at 4 and all were treated the same way. After about 5 minutes of waiting, I left. I didn't come there to wait. That's why I made an appointment! The lack of service is something that cannot be tolerated and if they are taking appointments, then they should keep and honor them. I went to CC Nail Bar instead a few minutes down the road on Eastern Ave. Spectacular service and attentive. Not to mention, a great gel French Manicure. I do not like providing less than satisfactory reviews. My nails came out below satisfactory and as I was done they kept saying, "Tip-Tip." I said, yes I am going to leave a tip. They asked how much? I handed them my credit card and said, "$8." Then she told me to go up front. Same question from the front. " How much tip, how much tip?" I again said, $8.00." Then the girl said, "Go get cash. Bank next door... "Go Go Go, Get cash bank right here." I said no, I am using my card. I saw their sign that showed cash tips appreciated, but you don't order or demand cash from a customers especially a first time customer. I felt pressured and I felt they were to rude and abrupt. Awful experience. I got a fill on my nails and I'm embarrassed on how they came out. Uneven, the polish is lumpy. No one listened to me when I was getting them done. I have been here before but this was the worst. First a standard gel pedicure took over an hour. The woman put the callous remover on my foot but she had it on her glove so she got it on the top of my foot and burned my foot. She cut my toe when trimming the cuticle. Then the color I picked was not the color she brought me. I picked an alternate color bit the way she put it on its 5 shaded lighter than the color and one foot is significantly lighter than the other. It's horrible I have to go get it fixed somewhere else. They offered to fix it but being burned and cut and running late for my next appointment I declined and they still made me pay full price. read more
