Red Rabbit rocks! I always look forward to coming here. Its location on Washington means it has some tough North Loop competition, but in my opinion belongs on anyone's Minneapolis to-eat list. It's a versatile space with a lively bar area, more relaxed dining room, and one of the Loop's best patios that I often find myself having lunch with coworkers on during the summer. Service hits the mark too, hitting the right balance of attentiveness. After coming enough times, the hosts will start to take remember you! Food, of course, is why you're here. The menu's wide ranging, encompassing no-frills Italian as well as some unique items. I'd recommend to focus in on the pasta and seafood offerings which shine. For lunch they also offer a pick-2 option which lets you choose half a salad and half a sandwich. My favorite dish is the beet spaghetti. It's unlike any pasta I've had before, somehow light but filling at the same time. The flavor profile isn't overly powerful nor too beet-y, with orange and poppy coming through too. Subtle but effective. I almost always add grilled chicken, which pairs great! The dish can also be made vegan with dairy-free ricotta, which is a nice level of inclusivity rare at many Italian places. Also, big photogenic points for this one! Honorable mentions include the salmon sandwich which offers a really nicely cooked cut of salmon (not a patty). Very refreshing and flavorful. The oysters are also excellent, especially the wood-grilled ones! Unless your heart is set on raw, I'd give these a shot. The Caprese bowl is also always a hit when someone orders it (never me, because I'm eating beet spaghetti). Appetizers are solid too with a great charcuterie board and burrata, and there's an extensive cocktail list including daily specials, plus great NA options. The only thing that has missed the mark in my experience is the butternut squash ravioli which, while I was told was tasty, comes in a such a small quantity that it doesn't feel quite worth the price. We decided on Red Rabbit to celebrate a family members birthday. We had a party of six but were still seated right away. We had our eye on the virtual waitlist that becomes available once there is a wait, but didn't need to use it. I had the gluten free Family Favorite pizza. It was very good but a little disappointing it was a bubbly crust like the non-gf pizzas. It was still very good crust that tasted like they made it there instead of using a store bought brand that plagues the gf pizza world. For dessert, we had the chocolate budino. It was amazing. I would go back for that cake and a cup of coffee alone. Overall, the service and food were great and the prices reasonable. We will definitely be back! read more

Looking for a nice place for a date or gathering of friends or family? This is a great place! There are 2 sides to this location. The bar side is brighter and has a more relaxed feel. There is high top seating and bar seating in this area. On the other side has dark walls and dim lighting, which felt more romantic and cozy. The sticky toffee cake and the wood fire grilled wings are a must try! My sister and I both got pasta dishes. They were good but not dishes I would rave about. I saw the table next to us order a wood fire pizza and that looked fantastic! I'd definitely go back to try that! We each got a glass of wine and those were also very good! Our sever was Ebenezer, he was absolutely fantastic! He checked in on our table, made sure our water glasses were full all the time and provided lots of laughs! Truly a wonderful server!! FOOD: I have been to Red Rabbit a few times, but this is the first time I went for brunch! I have to say- I think the brunch was SO good (better than my dinner experiences). My Bloody Mary was GREAT, the beignets were so crispy, oozy, and delicious, and the breakfast tacos were packed with flavor. 10/10 for brunch food. SERVICE: Great service here! I have always said that the staff at Red Cow/ Red Rabbit are top tier, as they are always so energetic and friendly. AMBIANCE: I will say, Red Rabbit can tend to be a tight pack if you are in the main area. It can almost be hard to talk if you are sitting that close to the party next to you. But the back room is much more spacious!! The vibe in here is cool- especially the patio! LOCATION/PARKING: The restaurant is in the North Loop, which is the best area in Minneapolis. Visited 11/30/22. Red Rabbit is a treat. Our group had to wait for a bit at 5:30 on a Wednesday, but they did have an easily checkable waitlist and we got seated fairly quickly. Parking is street parking on meters, similar to most parking in North Loop. Our server offered smart suggestions (like a carafe of sangria instead of just single glasses for two people in our party). Service was quick and smooth. I had the Blossom Child Gin drink, which was refreshing and easy to drink. For dinner I had the PB & J pizza (pineapple, bacon, & jalapeño), which was well seasoned and delicious (both while hot and while I ate it cold as leftovers the next day). Overall, I've had solid experiences at both Red Rabbit locations. read more

I was in downtown Minneapolis and wanted to check out Red Rabbit and happened to do so right after the Twins won their first playoff game since 2004. Needless to say, it was quite the vibe in downtown. As I was alone and not even a Twins fan, I was able to get a seat at the bar as the restaurant filled up with people postgame. Had their vegan pizza and a N/A beer. Both were sufficient. Again, it was really bustling and I ended up in a random conversation with the woman who ended up sitting next to me who was quite chatty and really selling me on how great Minneapolis. I did enjoy my visit to the city and to Red Rabbit. It's certainly a good spot for dinner and a night out. read more

Updating with the desserts we tried! We visited for a birthday celebration when Edward's Dessert Kitchen across the street was closed. It was easy to get 6 of us in right away on a Tuesday night. My friends ordered some cocktails, and the espresso martini that I sipped was delicious! CHOCOLATE CAKE: Dense, rich and delicious. This is almost like eating straight fudge! It is perfect for any chocolate lover in your life - or a very romantic date night. TOFFEE PUDDING: We were all shocked that this was our favorite - we even ordered a second one! *Update Still enjoying my visit at RR. The holiday decor is always so beautiful. Parking can be ridiculous. They do have a small lot for roughly 8 - 12 spots directly behind the restaurant. There are pay lots & street parking, however this night it took me 20 minutes to find one. When I got in, we had 5 min left on a 25 min wait. We received a text letting us know we had 5 minutes to get to the host stand. We were whisked away & our server was Ebenezer. He was a pleasant server. Food: I had a dozen wood grilled oysters. My companion had wood grilled wings & we both tried the Winter White Sangria. All were delish. Ambiance screams of the holiday. It was absolutely beautiful. My pix do it no justice. Definitely revisiting. May pick up food to go again for NYE on my way to work. Go see Ebenezer when you stop by. All the servers were observed to be attentive as well. I always notice that. The margherita pizza is one that has less cheese and sauce and more crust. The bruschetta was so great and I'm looking forward to getting it again. I'm so surprised. We have been Red Cow customers for years and never once been to Red Rabbit. We were blown away. We shared the Arugula salad with shaved Parmesan. They split it for us and the portions were generous. My husband had a featured special, the ravioli piccata. It was delicious. I had the bolognese and again, wow so fresh and flavorful! For dessert we had the sticky coffee cake with whipped sour cream. I have a new favorite restaurant!! Can't wait to go again. Our server, Liam was wonderful. Red Rabbit is a sister restaurant to Red Cow. Red Cow has four locations; North Loop, Uptown, St. Paul and 50th & France. Red Cow & Red Rabbit are a local-family owned company. I got the Gnocchi with Cauliflower & Orange and it was the best gnocchi dish I've ever had. We did have a weird experience with our server though, and I don't think I plan on returning.

Fortunately, the Earth Bowl at Star fits the bill and will probably be a go-to on future trips. It's a nicely seasoned, balanced, and clean-tasting assortment of greens, other vegetables, grains, and optional protein (shrimp was a good choice). And the generous pour of cab sauv complemented it well. Food aside, the space is very inviting and calming (and geometrically interesting, being circular in design), perfect for catching up on some reading during my meal. Service was also pleasant. The only thing is that there wasn't much else on the menu that appealed to me personally, so I'm hoping the bowl isn't something temporary or seasonal. In any case, I look forward to my next visit.

They even have hh in Friday. There's a lot to choose from on the hh menu. My friend and I shared wings, crab cakes, Brussels sprouts, and the whipped feta toast. All were delicious and portions are generous. Wings had a nice crisp and were substantial, not tiny. The whipped feta toast is a sleeper though, and prob the one I enjoyed most. Lots of accoutrements, super tasty. The sidecar was great and so was the Benedictine Manhattan cocktail. Strong but well balanced. We were greeted with a warm and thoughtful welcome, esp considering what's happening in our city rn. Staff were friendly and service was prompt. Nice, upscale ambiance and decor. It makes for a great after work happy hour downtown or a great spot for a more formal date night. Located inside the Indigo hotel. Plenty of on street metered parking on surrounding blocks. Will be back.

Parking is a bit limited and mostly all paid parking but if you're good with walking there's usually lots near university ave.

We happened to be in the area and decided to give this spot a try. When we arrived, the service was prompt and welcoming. However, as the dinner rush began, our server seemed a bit stretched thin and didn't check in on us as often. That said, we noticed other servers were attentive and doing an excellent job with their tables, so it may have just been a one-off. We started with the wings, which were fantastic! They were perfectly cooked--crispy on the outside with tender, juicy meat inside. The accompanying Parmesan sauce was rich and flavorful, almost like a creamy garlic ranch. If you're ordering a pizza, definitely save some sauce to dip--it's a game changer. For our mains, we had the chicken Alfredo and the Margherita pizza. The Alfredo was satisfying, featuring a generous portion of pasta topped with a well-seasoned, juicy chicken breast. As for the pizza, it was delightfully light with a soft crust that had a bit of a "flop" (which purists might call authentic Neapolitan-style).
