You've got to try their Halo-Halo traditional ice treat for 4.99. Mainly why I go here but they also do have a nice selection. Their sweet meal deals include the original palabok meal with a slice of cake or empanadas and a drink for 7.75$. They also have noodles which is the arrozcaldo for the same price and everything if you're craving noodles. Chicken and beef empanadas alone are 2.29 and pork is 1.99. Don't know why it has price difference. Looking for a birthday cake? They do have beautiful decorated cakes which are all about 20.00$. They sell cake slices by themselves for around 2.25. Over all, this place is good and I just love Filipino food. Service is pretty nice, the young lady working the front knows what she's doing and treats customers nicely. I looove their chicken empanadas! So good! I never would've even known about it, had my classmate not brought some on our last clinic day! I recommend the chicken empanadas. They don't really like to make a lot of it, so if you're really really craving for some, you're gonna have to wait for 'em for about 10-15 mins to make new ones. I got my Chinese friends hooked on this too! hehe.. As for the service, umm.. speed varies. I'm guessin... but maybe cuz I look young, the women on the counter tend to over look me, or just somehow magically gravitate toward older ladies =\ But I don't really care... In fact that's what was next-door to each other back then. Between Red Ribbon and Golfilck's, hands-down I've always chosen here! The cakes are delicious. My favorite is the toffee crunch cake and my husband likes the black forest cake. Now if you're more traditional, they have the best ube macapuno cakes as well as mango cake. Are used to really like the fresh lumpia a lot, but I think they discontinued serving than here. Ref Ribbon makes the best cheese mamin, which is a type of sponge cake with shredded cheese imported from the Philippines. This is also much more moist than an American spongecake. They have great emshamasa too. That is kind of like a sweet roll with butter and sugar on top, with a little bit of cheese also. I know some of this may sound a little weird or strange to those not familiar, but I think you should try it out. Tastes much better than it sounds! Some cakes are also sold by the slice. All I can surmise is this is a fast food Filipino joint. The dish was average at best with the sauce being a little bit manufactured both in color and texture. I had the Palabok with Chicken Empanada. The Palabok is best described as a glass noodle topped with a flavorless sauce. There was no flavor explosion and the Empanada was quite bland. Granted I just came back from Puerto Rico a few weeks ago so I had higher expectations of empanadas. The best part of the meal was the mango cake because it wasn't overly sweet. This was my first time ever at any Red Ribbon Bakeshop and I came to purchase the Ube Mousse cake for a birthday party. My expectations were high since I am a huge fan of ube (and pandan) flavored anything. The cake looked amazing; however, the overall flavor of ube was severely lacking. I could barely taste any ube (even had to close my eyes to concentrate on the flavor). Also, the amount of cream on top was a little too much to the point I had to wipe some off just to continue eating a slice. As a result, the only thing I learned from this is to never judge a cake based off how amazing it looks. Even though the cake was a magnificent purple, I'm not sure whether it was food coloring or not, in the end, it only had a hint of flavor. this place has the best filipino pastries! my favorite cake has to be the mocha crumble! i get it every year on my birthday. i also recommend getting the mango and ube cake because it's not too overly sweet. they have a variety of baked goods to choose from. mamon is a buttery sponge cake and it has been my favorite since i was a kid! very light buttery flavor with a great amount of cheese on top. it's almost like a taisan but not so sweet. red ribbon also has some popular filipino foods on the menu. i like the dinuguan which is meat with porks blood and palabok noodles. the serving is pretty small but combos include a drink and a slice of cake. i really like this location because service is ways on point. the workers great each customer and are very friendly. the best part is that they keep all tables clean at all times! read more

I have bad experience today. I ordered birthday cake for my wife.. mango something which cost around $39.99. I did not know they have a policy of not accepting bills larger than $20.00. I handed $ 100.00 and the cashier refused to accept it. she said it is against their policy. I said this is my only money on hand. The cashier said you can use a card. I tried to ask to talk to the supervisor or manager. The supervisor came out but she stuck with the policy instead of resolving the issue and help me as a customer. I said there must be a degree of flexibility. The supervisor insist of the policy. I will not comeback to this store. They have a strict policy by refusing to accept the legal tender on my hand. The behavior of the employees shows arrogance. They can stick with their policy but.. I will stay away from this kind of store.. the food will taste bitter if the treatment to customer are disrespectful.. You can have your pastries, and other diabetic goods... Mediocre cake. Got the mango Supreme cake since so many people hyped it up. It wasn't that moist or fluffy. On top of that, the mangos on top tasted like they were out of a can. I also got a slice of ube cake which tasted like too much ube extract was used. For the birthday cake I requested writing and I got a "happy birthday" card with the name handwritten in ugly lettering to attach on top of the cake. I have had 2 different cakes from Red Ribbon - The Mango Cake and the Purple Sweet Potato Cake Mango Cake - a very light - dare I say "refreshing" cake with little pieces of mango pureed into it. I have heard that other Asian bakeries do similar cakes, but I have never eaten those. The only thing I can compare to is King's Hawaiian Bakery "Passion Cake" which is also good but I prefer this one Purple sweet potato - this one has a the conversation factor going. What are there really potatos? I didn't know potatos could be purple? etc. Once you get past that - it is ok...I didn't really like the filling which i think really had potato in it, but other people I was with loved it so I guess it is just a matter of taste. Located in the same plaza as Jollibee. Stopped by on my way to work to pick-up a pastry to compliment my coffee. Upon looking at the different bakery items, decided on the Ube Sponge Cake ($1.35). Didn't taste like anything special. It was sweet; go figure since the first ingredient is sugar. It complimented my coffee but I wish I had a croissant or something instead. They also serve empanadas and cakes here but the first ingredient is usually sugar, so don't expect it to be healthy. Overall, decent value and quality and a great way to branch into the Filipino culture. read more

Delicious. I come here for lunch. They have these combos for less than a 9 bucks that includes entree (my favorite is the palabok) soda, and cake (favorite is the ube...looks a little funny with its purple color, but it makes up for it in taste). The ensaimadas and empanadas are delcious. If its hot out definately get the halo halo, which fills you up like a meal would. It gets busy, but most ppl take it to go so there usually isn't a problem finding a place to sit. Also, try the brazo mercedes. Like the ube it looks a little funny, but it light fluffy texture is packed with taste. Only thing lacking is they don't have the blueberry cheesecake that the Red Ribbons in the PI serve. read more

Best Ube cake I have ever had!! If you like the flavor of taro, you have to try this one. 3 layers of ube chiffon cake with purple yam puree mixed with whipped cream between layers. Top is decorated with whipped cream rossettes and coconut gel. It's not sweet at all and it has a strong but not artificial taro flavor. I like their Arrozcaldo, which is a thick porridge made from chicken both with chopped chicken, sliced dried mushroom and spiced with ginger. It's a good pick if you are feeling kinda under the weather. Their Ensaimada, a soft, moist egg bread brushed with margarine and sprinkled with sugar an grated cheddar cheese is a nice choice if you dont' mind the calories! read more
