Had the tasting here. Not as many choices and the choices tended to be on the sweeter side. I do recommend the jalapeño cider.. it is spicy but I bought a bottle to go into bloody Mary's ... friendly atmosphere, wide open space. Just wasn't my favorite in tasting choices. great new find !!! was on the way to round barn , when i yelped and found this place. we came a beautiful sunday afternoon. watched some good live music. they had a great deal on their already cheap wine. most the bottles were 15 dollars or less. but if you purchased 2 bottles youd get 10 dollars off. i mean why not !? and the wine was delicious wifey and i loved every one we tried. we ended up drinking 2 bottles of "mi happy wine" on the back patio during the live music that was my favorite wine. my wifeys fav was the Caribbean one . it was almost pina colada ish. good times, atmosphere and friendly staff. they are strictly card only. and they do tastings for 2 dollars a sample. i like how they have all the wine on tap ! i would def come back !! read more

I came here with on a Grape and Grains Tour with a group of friends celebrating a bachelorette party, and this was, by far, our favorite stop! The inside is very open with a large bar for tastings. Our server Brandon was awesome! He was extremely attentive, informative, and seemed to really enjoy his job. The wines on tap was a very cool idea, and all of the wines were different and exciting. This probably wouldn't be the place to take a wine snob, most of the wines were sweeter, and eclectic, but we enjoyed it for being something different than all the other wineries in the area. They have a great outside area with some shaded areas, and when we went they had live music. We brought snacks along, and found this to be a great place to relax and drink a cold bottle that was purchased. They even wrapped up the remainder of the bottles for us to take home with us! Honestly Red Top was not on our winery visit list, but as we were driving by we were intrigued. We ended up stopping in on diy tour and woah this was the best winery we went to out of the 5 we visited. Cheryl was outstanding and knowledgeable during our tasting. She is also a really good ses lady, she sold a case and half to our party of 3. She told us about live music on Saturdays. We will be back to visit her on a weekend! read more

This was our first trip to Michigan and our first experience at winery's. It was Halloween so there were plenty of costumes to go around. The environment was so open and comfortable. Our server (if that's proper etiquette) was dressed as Velma and was the sweetest server we'd met all day. She was so knowledgeable and friendly we instantly felt relaxed in this new place. She recommended a few areas in St Joseph's where we were staying and she has incredible taste. Would definitely come back to enjoy more winery's in the area based on the experience we had there! read more

He was very knowledgeable on all their selections, and gave us some good recommendations on what to drink. Great place! My only complaint was the packaging. The bags were paperthin to carry out the wine bottles and they kept ripping.

Great new winery with interesting wines and ciders to try. They were knowledgeable but also fun and laid back. It felt very new when we were there but I think the space will "age" nicely as more learn about it and visit. It was raining when we visited but they had an awesome back porch and grassy area to hang out in on warmer and drier days. Live music as well! read more

Fantastic experience, Lashonda was extremely welcoming and friendly from beginning to end. She was so knowledgeable and helpful, we were very surprised to hear she had just stared at Red Top two weeks prior. Beautiful property, games and chairs set up out back. What a fun place to go for some excellent wines, and a good deal of fun. We are not wine snobs or connoisseurs. Just plain people who like some wine. The people at Red Top made us feel right at home. We went last Saturday while in the area for the weekend. The girl who helped us was very knowledgeable, and picked up on my wife's tastes almost instantly. Her recommendations were spot on, and the help she offered was valuable. I wish I could remember her name. She was a younger girl who brought Mexican food and guacamole to a recent in house paring session. I'm pretty much a Cabernet drinker and her recommendation of their bourbon barrel Cab was spot on. They had live entertainment out back and we spent the afternoon enjoying great weather, awesome wine, and lots of fun. So happy we found this place. We will definitely return. read more

Yuck. Maybe I need to try the cider. Maybe not. Cute venue, but the reds the BF and I tasted and then poured out under the picnic table last weekend were about as bad as anything I've had in my mouth. Ever. His was a disturbingly Welch's purple color. Mine was rosy red, but too cold, too sweet and just plain yuck-y. Thin. Weak. We left Dablon because it was too crowded, same for Hickory Creek and disappointingly landed here. There was a guy singing too loud, and with strange synthesized one man band accompaniment, a person tumbling backwards out of her flimsy plastic chair. All in all, a gloomy scene. Not sure I understand the five star hype of the other Yelpers. I will concede that it was too loud and crowded to settle in for a proper tasting so we randomly picked likely the worst reds in the place and paid $8 a glass for something we sipped, swilled and mostly poured out . . . read more

We visited this winery for the first time last weekend. We were welcomed by a gentleman as soon as we walked it. In addition to his greeting there were already wine glasses and lists set up at the bar which made us feel very welcome. Carla went through the wine list with us and provided suggestions based on our taste preferences. The most unique feature is that there wines are all on tap! I love this because 1) it cuts down on wasted packaging and 2) it tastes very fresh! In addition to the wines, they also had 2 ciders that can be included in the tasting. We both enjoy ciders so that was great for us. One of the ciders had some jalepno in it which gave it a wonder, not - to - spicy flavor! They had a special if you bought 3 bottles so of course we took advantage of that deal and got a few bottles to take home. Carla was really great and we hope to see her again at our next visit! Great atmosphere, family friendly, servers know their stuff and are fun / chatty. Live music, yard games, food truck....what's not to love? Try the hallerpeno cider- so good and unique.
