I walked up to get my drink and the barista started to fake vomit in my drink. He was mad I ordered a vegan pastry??

Highly recommend the honey rosemary latte - can't find it anywhere else and it's delicious for those who love semi-sweet floral leaning lattes. Brownie points for the syrup being made in house (it's a tablestake these days but still appreciate it). Spanish latte is also superb. Pastries are some of the best we've had. I recently ordered the plain croissant and it was by far the best plain croissant I've had in my life. You'll need to come earlier in the day to have options because they sell somewhat quickly. Small nitpick that I've also seen from others is that they really should keep pastries in a case rather than out in the open. The fly fan things don't work that well... Also with the amount of dogs, fur and dander are inevitably airborne. When I was there last a customer's large dog jumped on the counter several times and had his face and paws in the pastries - woops.

When you enter, the location is huge! Tons of tables and seating. Nice! People are working, hanging out, and enjoying their food and drinks. I ordered a churro latte half sweet and a deluxe avocado toast. The latte was delicious. Sweetness level was just right for me. I don't like super sweet drinks. The avocado toast was also great. There was so much flavor from the egg and bacon and seasonings. It was a little hard to eat out of the to go container, but I made it work. It could easily be shared depending how hungry you are. I love that I didn't feel rushed here. It seems they expect people to come and hang out for awhile. Can't wait to return! I'm eyeing the biscuit and a matcha next time.

They are also dog friendly! It's also located across South Coast Plaza, so you can grab a great drink and go shopping! The only downside of the place is that there's little parking options. The front parking is supposed to be "20 mins only" and then if those 6 spots are full then you have to park in the parking garage across the street. Make sure to get it validated!!

L&L is located in a huge industrial complex with tons of parking (not sure how it is during weekdays though when the other businesses are open). The coffee shop is HUGE with plenty of seating and from the looks of it- lots of regulars hanging out and enjoying their sip. Walk in and fall in line to select your coffee of choice. You can scan their QR code of items - just wish prices were posted too. L&L roasts their beans and after just one sip, you can taste the difference! I had a vanilla latte while hubby had their toffee latte. As it turns out they make their own toffee syrup which is amazing!!! They also have a great selection of foods- burritos, avo toast, quiche, a variety of bagels and a nice assortment of scones, muffins and croissants. We shared a chorizo burrito filled with potato, egg, cheese, chorizo then toasted. It came with 2 different sauces - and cool and creamy cilantro and a smokey mocajete. This too was delicious and we were so glad to have ordered this. Staff were super friendly, welcoming and very helpful. All good vibes here! Look forward to returning!!!

I love love love their matcha and actually get my at-home espresso beans here. They are perfectly roasted and the espresso comes out smooth. I also have had their avocado toast. It is so good but I never finish it haha because it is big. Totally worth to try. They have large tables which are perfect to host coworking sessions or just to come and work. I think I've only had like a small instance where the internet got a little slow but other than that this is a pleasant spot to visit. You can also rent a study/conference room from the church. I sent a message before because I needed a spot to do my final oral exam virtually. There is a small fee but unfortunately no one got back to me. There is a QR code that takes you to a site where you fill out a form to request the space. Now, these requests are handled specifically by the church not the coffee spot. Although it is in the same area. The staff is super friendly. The restrooms are always clean. Handicap friendly. Not necessarily kid friendly because a lot of people come here to study and work, and its also all concrete and hazards for the small ones, but I have seen people do like babies on strollers type of gathering.

One thing you need to know is this place is small. Like I would say if you could fit six people in there you'd be doing good. That being said, this place has some of the best coffee I've had! Most big name corporate coffee places Overkill the roasting of the beans. That makes coffee bitter and almost screaming from milk and sugar. I ordered a latte, and it was one of the smoothest coffees I have had in my life.. Plus the atmosphere is very laid-back and cool, you definitely don't feel like you need to have a tie to come in here, or spend a lot of money. The coffee is very well priced, and just a general cool place space to hang. Bottom line? If you are a coffee fanatic, and getting tired of the big corporate chains out there, you would do well to check out Wilson Coffee Roasting Company.

Easy, friendly, familiar in the best way. I don't come in often enough, but every time I do it feels like I belong here. Jim, the proprietor, is a big reason why, welcoming from my first visit. Matt, pictured here, I see more often on my Saturday runs. He's present minded and clearly cares about his customers and his craft. That energy carries through the whole space. Great coffee is one thing, but great music seals the deal. Today Matt's playlist was from 1946, and it somehow fit perfectly. Relaxed, cool, curious. Also the latte he brewed was on point - rich, smooth, and the just-right temp. And he refilled my own three jars with whole beans, to help with my goal of sustainability. I originally found Wilson Coffee through my connection to Chris and Jessica, the former owners of Amis de la Terre, a zero waste shop that I (and their many followers) still miss. There's a shared spirit here. Community minded and intentional. I'm really glad this place exists. Pro tip: pull around to the parking lot behind Eller Bakery for the Wilson Coffee VIP parking spot shown in my photo.rdu

I read that this is owned by a Japanese couple who has extensive knowledge and love for coffee. Tucked in a corner within a small shopping plaza by a Japanese bakery, Mameya is a micro roaster that offering coffee enthusiasts and connoisseurs an opportunity to select over a dozen raw single origin and blend beans. Excellence in every Roast. at Mameya, there is precisely. And passion to every bean. Service is great. The employees are very knowledgeable and friendly if you have any questions or inexperienced. The ambiance is intimate and rather small. There isn't a lot of space where you can sit or stand. Pros: I ordered their pour over common blend and it was solid. I also grabbed a 12oz bag of their Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Natural. It took about 20 minutes for them to complete the roasting process. After 4 days, I grinned the beans for a pour over and could tell this was already going to be a decent cup of joe. I did not see any significant bloom but the draw time was great based on my grind size. Cons: This shop is too far and too small so if there is a line and you don't have time, you might have to skip the experience. While I don't anticipate Mameya expanding, I would come back in a while.

The vibe is cozy and welcoming, with a steady buzz of customers that shows just how popular this spot is. My fiancé got the iced sweet cream latte and absolutely loved it! smooth, perfectly balanced sweetness, and the espresso was top-notch. I went with the iced Americano topped with banana cold foam, and wow, it was a game changer! The banana foam was creamy, flavorful, and not overly sweet, pairing beautifully with the bold espresso. Both drinks were prepared and refreshed us instantly. The only minor downside is parking, which can be a bit tricky, but the location is clearly thriving with tons of foot traffic and business out front, so it's totally understandable. Once you're inside, the excellent drinks and friendly service more than make up for it.
