I highly recommend Redline for anyone that needs to get work done on their Porsche. I was doing a DIY on a timing belt for my 991.2 and wasn't able to get the extension bolt back in (also did not fully put all things back together). I was fully expecting shops to laugh in my face when I was calling around to get quotes. One of them never got back to me (likely did not want to deal with someone's mess, which I completely understand). King was relatable, reasonable, and knowledgeable so I decided to take my chances here. Turns out, King is a Porsche guy through and through and I knew as soon as I met him that my car will be in good hands. He took pictures of the work throughout the process. The Tech (Matt) was able to fix all my mess. I can tell these guys enjoy what they do, very knowledgeable, honest provides great customer care, and very reasonably priced. We have been taking our Porsche's to James at Redline for 10 years + We have even referred a couple friends to James over the years that still take their Porsche's there. This weekend I met Mr. King. James left his shop in GREAT HANDS. I had an oil change on my 2018 Macan GTS. King changed my oil, found a leak before it became a problem. He fixed 2 tires with nails in them that I didnt even know I had. My dash said I needed air in one tire, it was throwing a change your oil signal and check engine. After King repaired everyting I got in my car- drove down the road and smiled as I looked at my dash- not even one warning light, check engine etc. He is a true professional that knows Porsche's inside and out just like James did. UPDATE! My 2021 Macan GTS had a faulty coolant pump. Anyway, James could have easily just changed out the part for me and charged us for the labor and parts, which would have been very pricey. Instead, he contacted Porsche and found out that it was fully covered under my warranty and it would be replaced at no charge to me, if I had the work done at a Porsche dealership. I wanted to rate them 3 stars but only because they were very middle of the road mediocre. I chose 4 because they didn't particularly fail at anything other than communication and scheduling. They are very personable once you're in front of them and they did good work. Their hourly price is pretty standard, depending on who you know you can find just slightly better but at this rate what's $10-15 an hour less really going to do for you. It's not important. Quality and communication is. My main issue with redline was not feeling like I got my moneys worth out of the time charged and communication/scheduling. I originally called and called and called and only went to voicemail after 30 seconds of ringing. I eventually just drove over and was able to schedule but wtf the phone is right behind James why would he not pick it up. They were however pretty responsive to email, that's the route I'd go if I were you. The next problem was signing up for the "wait list". Because my project was pretty small, about 3 hours worth they offered not to schedule me but to call me if anyone doesn't show. They said scheduling was over 2 weeks out at the time. That's a good sign to me. However just about 2 weeks go by and I haven't heard a peep, now I'm thinking I may as well just scheduled. I gave them a call and reminded them I was waiting and they told me I could come in now. So, great. But what was I forgotten about? If I hadn't called I'm positive I'd never hear from them. So I went out of my way left work early drove home swapped to my Porsche drove to redline then got an Uber home. So time, money, and inconvenient last minute scheduling. As an entrepreneur myself this is just unprofessional behavior. Hallmarks of the average worker, not someone who cares about their customers. It's mostly for this reason I won't come back. The quality of work they performed was good. They did not finish the 3 hour job within 3 hours from dropping the car off, I had to come back the next day. Not a huge deal but another inconvenience and Uber cost incurred. Other shops I've been to will pay the Uber for you within x amount of miles. It's unfortunate too because I have a lot of projects to be done, suspension refresh, IMS, RMS, new clutch, flywheel upgrade. They would have secured a steady and consistent project customer along with regular maintenance but something told me this isn't the place I should bed down with. 4 stars is fair. Teetering on the 3 star range service though. Start small with them and base the future services or projects off the first experience. Maybe you're a will be great if you're got a 200k new GT3. read more

Short version: Highly recommend it. Long version: I used to bring my car to the dealer, even after the warranty expired simply because I tried a different shop for brakes one time and it was a disaster. I heard of Redline Automotive a while ago...and finally drove by and checked it out. I brought my paperwork from the dealer service shop and James, whose an ex-Porsche service manager, checked it out and said I wouldn't need any of it. I came back and left if for inspection. They verified everything again, called me and said I wouldn't need anything the dealer recommended. I was a bit amazed and literally saved a lot of money. On a Wednesday afternoon, I called Redline to inquire about a pre-purchase inspection on a 2009 Carrera S Cab. I called Redline to troubleshoot an ABS light that came on my 997. They hooked it up to their Porsche PIWIS diagnostic tool and pulled a few codes. They were able to pinpoint exactly which sensors were not responding and they replaced them the next day. They were very courteous and accommodating throughout the whole process. They even provided me with the previous repairs that they had performed on the car so that I can have it for my records. Their pricing is a lot more reasonable than any Porsche dealership around and also they don't try to up-sell any products or services. They also provided me with a list of upcoming service that my car will need and pricing for it so there are no surprises when I'm ready to take the car back. Brought a Boxster there almost 2 years ago. I didn't leave a review then but since my Boxster needs repair again I decided to leave one. I brought it in due to the cluster having problems. They did do a proper diagnostics and told me I either have to replace the cluster or repair the cluster. Either would have been pretty expensive. I ended up paying $400-600 for the diagnostics which is fine as they did find the problem. I decide to just have them put the old one back in and just deal with the the mph not showing. I'm not mad about the cost of the diagnostics as much as I was more frustrated about my keys no longer working after going here. I didn't bring up the issue to them as it's been a long time but I should have. I brought my Porsche there and left with my keys electronics not working. I have since tried to replace the batteries but still no avail. I probably should have brought it up but since I work when they are open, also slipped my mind and ended up forgetting about it. I do appreciate their communication as they were upfront with the cluster issues but would have wished my keys still worked. Cost is understandable as this is a specially shop but my keys no longer working directly correlated to the car being here is what irked me. read more

I was looking to buy a 2003 996 and while test driving it had a coolant leak, took it there, it seemed like a water pump was needed- Turned out to just be a loose coolant cap- They also did a full ppi on the car which was very reasonable and went into depth informing of everything i needed to know about the car.
