Cant believe I am yet to post a review for this place. I am a regular here and enjoy their bagels often on my weekend mornings. They have a great selection of flavored bagels and cream cheese. I highly recommend their veggie/avocado bagel sandwich. It's very filling and tastes amazing with fresh ingredients. read more

After church service on Easter, this was the perfect breakfast spot for to go bagel sandwiches. No line after 12pm on a Sunday am, but steady flow of customers. Freshly made bagels and my review is for the sandwiches only. You choose your bagel flavor. I ordered an avocado without cheese on a wheat bagel. Came with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and heaping amount of fab avocado! Messy , but sooo good. Oh and a pickle spear bagged separately- yummy. The rest of the fam ordered sausage/egg/ cheese bagels. Decent legit freshly made, no skimping. It hit the spot. Thank you! read more

Somebody brought us when I was on strike with work, a box of their bagel dogs and from that moment I was absolutely hooked. I was like, where in the world did you get these? He directed me to regal bagel and I absolutely love love love the bagel dogs. They are so juicy. They're covered with cheese and so pleasantly toasted. I would come back over and over again just to get the bagel dog. I have also had the bagels there and the bagel sandwiches and those are also very very good. Can't wait to come back read more

I've been going here since I was a kid. It is seriously the best place to get bagels in South San Jose. Felt like I needed to do an updated review! We LOVE Regal Bagel! My fiancé and I come here every weekend. The store has been great with COVID protocol by allowing a limited amount of customers inside the store. There's always a (distanced) line whenever we go but the service goes quick. We've been here so many times now that they always know our order and have it ready for us very quickly. I love their garlic and herb cream cheese. SO tasty and flavorful. My fiancé gets their bacon breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. I usually always get a chai tea latte and my fiancé loves their coffee. Definitely come by here if you're in the area! The place is very clean and staff are very friendly! read more

Found this gem randomly one day and couldn't believe how delicious their bagels are! I had the Pesto bagel, it was cheap and so chewy warm crispy and delicious better than some places i had in New York!!! It looked like a family owned business, they were a little backed up but it was definitely worth the way. They were also very generous with their cream cheese which i appreciated. I've had bagels in NYC and found myself comparing. Maybe i was just super hungry? I'll be coming back today to see if my statement still stands. read more

Excellent bagels at this place. Easy to get to. They are in a big shopping center of stores and stuff. They are next to a Starbucks and always busy. My daughter and boyfriend come here and sent Dad the info. so I could YELP It out. The Turkey Club on Marinara Bagel is mmmm! Delish. Muy bueno. I really enjoyed the taste of this marinara sauce oozing out of the toasted top of the bagel on my bites into this very well made and healthy bagel. Gives it a little spice. Along with the cheese and onion and tomato in this creation gave it a small taste of Spaghetti, Pizza like. The toasted part with the tomato sauce was perfect. You know how you have a local go-to coffee shop or bakery where you know you will always get quality food and top notch customer service? Well, Regal Bagel is that spot for me! Currently, they are only taking orders to go, although they do have seats out for people to sit at while waiting for their orders. Be warned, if you come here on the weekend, there will almost always be a line that goes out the door and may even carry out into the street! But it's totally worth the wait! They have a large selection of bagels available; from plain to blueberry, sesame to marina cheese, there is something for all you bagel lovers out there. They also offer some pastries as well, although those are limited in offerings and you need to order them the minute you see them popped into the case. I love their Fruit Stix and usually take one to go and eat in the car on the way. My favorite item on the menu is their Lox Bagel on a toasted Sesame Bagel. Its smothered with cream cheese, layered with their salty lox, a heaping of red onions and capers (I omit the tomatoes, but it does come with the sandwich). They wrap it up nicely in wax paper, then a plastic wrap to ensure that the sandwich is still warm when you finally get to dive into it. Its the perfect start to any day and I only wish I woke up early enough every day to eat it before my hectic days! They also offer a variety of coffee and teas as well as other cold beverages in their cases. They are a small business and the owner and workers have such an upbeat and happy attitude, you can't help but smile under your mask. If you're ever out this way, I recommend you come check out Regal Bagel and their wonderful bagels! read more

Regal Bagel is still my all time favorite bagel shop! I've been going here since middle school and have always loved their soft and chewy bagels. It's located in Bernal Plaza, right in between Starbucks and Staples. My go-to's are.. SAUSAGE, EGG & CHEESE ON MARINARA CHEESE BAGEL $6.25 TUNA SALAD ON MARINARA CHEESE BAGEL $7.50 -no tomatoes. MARINARA CHEESE BAGEL $2.25 -So obviously, my favorite kind of bagel is their marinara cheese bagel. It's like a pizza bagel. SO GOOD. It doesn't even need any kind of cream cheese. It's delicious by itself! I always buy 2+ of these to munch on over the next couple of days. They hold up pretty well and I just microwave them or toast them in the oven. I also really like their jalapeño bagel but all their bagels are good because of their texture. Everything always taste fresh. They also serve coffee and tea, a variety of croissants, bagel dogs and scones. Service is always friendly and fast. It's family owned, so it's nice to see that they're still going on strong after all these years. read more

10/10 service!! went this morning and there was a line out the door but they move so fast and are so so nice !!! everybody was waiting for their orders on different sides of their shop and the employees were all able to recognize who had which order which i love. i didn't get to try any drinks as i had gone somewhere else but the coffee honestly looked delicious i'll have to try next time. got a veggie bagel on a pesto cheese bagel and it was absolutely delicious!!! my friend got a lox bagel and it looked amazing and head a perfect amount of lox !! will be coming back again and recommending to a friend ! read more

I've been hearing about this place through my coworker and went out of my way to try it. OHHH it's worth it. Sure, bagels are bagels, but boy o boy........ these are worth the wait. It doesn't matter what bagel you get. They are all good. I especially liked the asiago one. The sandwich bagels are great. They come so loaded! Great prices and amazing customer service. You know it's homely when they know their customers by their names! Too bad I don't live close or else I would be here weekly! read more

This place has the best coffee and croissant combo! I love to enjoy their breakfast croissants a lot. I do enjoy the variety of bagels they offer. However, their ham and cheese croissants stole my heart. It's the right amount of filling and the bread is fluffy while being practical. The bread to their croissants is buttery and not too flaky. The cheese seems to always melt at a reliable consistency. Their coffee self serve and prep bar is always well organized and clean. I love how they have it laid out for us. A small detail I would like to hight light is their single wrapped stirring sticks. I appreciate them due to personal pandemic post trauma. The staff has always provided me with kind service. I basically roll out of bed and they never treat me like I am an unwelcomed gross goblin. I always walk in there with a smile and leave with an even bigger one on my face. Regal Bagel is by far the best bagel bakery that I have ever been to. And in my long life I have tried many of them. Always fresh. The choicest are always great. I eat here for breakfast or lunch. I have been going to this shop since they opened. Close to twenty years. They know what I usually order whether it's breakfast or lunch. The service is always perfect. They also have excellent croissants, bagel dogs, and sweet pastries. Even if there is a line, it won't take long tor them to get to you! read more

TLDR: Regal Bagel is the best because of the love and passion put in by the family who owns it. You won't find a better bagel store. Regal Bagel is now one of my most loved bagel shops. I used to be all about house of bagels, but the love the owners have for their shop at Regal Bagel is shown in their customer service, food, and overall ambiance of their store. It feels homey and intimate and the coffee is so much better than the Starbucks next store. Each time you order a bagel sandwich they give you a free dill pickle. I love dill pickles and after going there for breakfast regularly the sweet owners sneak an extra pickle in my baggie. They go out of their way to make you feel special. They have all sorts of bagels but I'm a sucker for their egg and pumpernickel bagels. They are really awesome about customizing your order. The shop is run by a family and I think is absolutely adorable to see how much love this family has for each other and their business. If you want to buy bagels in bulk they are awesome with that and will cater for meetings too! Their phone service is excellent. When the lady asked if I was coming tomorrow and I said yes, she had my favorite bagel sandwich ready for me as soon as I walked in. The interior has plenty of seating, is super clean, and the music is light and uplifting, and the whole place feels cozy. There's free internet as well. Seriously, this is a small business absolutely worth supporting. read more

This spot isn't bad! I ordered the ham, cheese, & egg + avocado on a marinara bagel (YUM!) and it was good. It seems that they use pre-made eggs, which may be why they are so quick when making the bagels. Convenient but nothing is as good as a freshly cooked egg. They have a few tables available for seating. The line does go out the door, but it goes by quick! We waited about 5-10 mins in line, ordered, then another 5 mins for the food to be ready. Not bad! I'd recommend this place if you want a quick bagel fix and if you're in the area. I wouldn't drive out of my way to come here though. read more

I was in the area and hungry..looking for a bagel sandwich. I ordered the bacon egg on everything bagel...it was 6.25. I wished I added cream cheese. The bagel was so fresh and good. I asked for it to be more toasted . The bacon was good...I wished there was more..it only came with 2 pieces. I also got a white chocolate mocha. It was hot and very good. Starbucks was next door but wanted to give them the business. If your looking for wonderful fresh food...this place is very good. I would come back again. read more

Came on a busy Saturday late morning. The cashier was very friendly, and there were several employees (4 just up front) preparing orders. Employees all wear masks but weren't wearing gloves, but they offer hand sanitizer at the counter. I like that they have clear marked red lines on the floor to make sure people waited in line socially distanced. People were actually adhering to the marked lines, which I often don't see, so that was nice. The inside is pretty spacious/open, so even though there were a few people waiting for their orders inside, it didn't feel overcrowded. My blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese was good. I like their strawberry cream cheese. It has strawberry pieces in it, and it's not too overwhelming. Will definitely be back. read more

They have the best bagels on the southside, there's a Starbucks right next-door if you don't want to drink their coffee but they do have a really good Thai iced tea I highly recommend. They also have the best pesto bagel I have ever had. There's usually a line out the door, but there's a lot of parking and the line goes pretty quickly. read more

I've been coming here for decades and finally giving them the review they deserve. Used to work around the corner and came here almost everyday for years. Then moved across country and its always on my hit list whenever I'm in the Bay Area. Their bagels are top notch. Period. It still hits the same even 20 years later and that's no joke. TLDR: The best Lox Bagel in South Bay. I've been on the hunt for many months since moving here to find the best Lox Bagel in the bay. My adventures took me all around, from Palo Alto to San Jose. I made it a ritual to go to one new bagel place every weekend -- that was until, I stumbled upon Regal Bagel. You see, most bagel shops have the "classic Lox sandwich" on their menu just because they have to. Tomatoes, red onion, cappers, lettuce. But where was the OOMF? Where was the ? Where was the ELEVATION? As soon as you walk into Regal Bagel they have TWO Lox Bagel offerings. This immediately told me they take their Lox as seriously as I do. But it doesn't end there. The peppered Lox bagel comes with a Peperoncino. If you've ever seen the scene from Ratatouille where Remy is eating the various ingredients and fireworks are popping in his head, eating that bagel was much of the same experience. This was the OOMF I was looking for! The ! The ELEVATION! Additionally, they throw in a free pickle with every order because who doesn't like pickles!? If you're looking for the best lox in the bay, go to Regal. read more

My hubby and I have always been interested of all the people outside every weekend. Outside has a communal seating area with umbrellas. The crowd is a mix of jamba juice, starbucks, and Regal patrons. The sandwiches looked loaded, so we split a marinara bagel with egg and bacon. It was yummy! I have to say, as simple as it sounds, the packaging was great. Some may often over look this detail, but I hate when the sandwiches fall a part just because of poor wrapping. They have many selections to offer from jack cheese bagels to plain - the combinations almost seem limitless. They also have several drip coffee selections, espresso, refrigerated coolers with milk and juices too. I'd have to say, overall great experience and customer service. Prices were quite affordable compared to other delis/donut shops/ coffee shops for similar items. They work very efficiently and fast! We'll definitely be back! read more

I was in the area & decided to give this a try since I was having a massive craving for bagels. Parking: extensive it's in a huge plaza so plenty of parking I got a marinara cheese bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. Marinara def strong! I felt like I was eating spaghetti or pasta but in bagel form lol The jalapeño cream cheese had a kick to it but nothing too crazy but I also don't have a high spicy tolerance. Will try this place again when I'm in the area again but probably get something different. read more

They had some Fanime specials for the con (katsu and egg salad sandwiches, spam musubi), seasonal drinks, of course coffees and teas, and non caffeinated drinks, as well as some food too (heated up pastries, both sweet and savory). There's a restroom with a code and a couple seats and tables with outlets to charge your devices. Service was welcoming and efficient especially after the crowds started to pick up. I got the: 1) Egg Salad Sando: -You can tell these were handmade in store. They had cute washi tape to hold the packaging together. -Solid egg salad sandwich. Slightly sweet white bread and generous amount of egg salad inside the sandwich. Creamy mayo taste that isn't too sour or tart, lots of egg in it. Perfect for an anime con next door. 2) Cappuccino: -I got this no sugar and sugar free and it came out with some pretty latte art. I thought it was mostly ok and boyfriend thought so too, but after several sips and when it was too late since we really had to get to the con, it just became too disgustingly sweet for him and he had to throw it away. 3) Yuzu Fresh Fruit Sparkler: -Yuzu puree with sparkling soda water. -Refreshing and not bad, but even after mixing this was a bit sweeter than what I would have liked and again, in our rush to leave, we couldn't really get this adjusted. I ended up pouring most of it in a water bottle to enjoy later and put in my bag. But ended up not finishing it in the end. Maybe next year I'll try again or just stick to the food stuffs.

I'm a huge fan of this place and have been coming here for years except I still don't know how to say the name correctly. haha The bagels are sooo cheap compared to every other bagel shop. They are a little smaller and not always mouth watering delicious but they make me a happy camper in the morning. They could be completely swamped in there and they'll have a bagel toasted, cheesed and in the bag ready to go in less than 2 minutes. I love it! This place is hands down my favorite breakfast spot! We live 5 mins away and it's become a staple for us on the weekends to grab a bagel sandwich. It's always busy in here, especially on the weekends, but we never wait more than 5-10 mins. The bagels are delicious and cooked to perfection. Coming From, a former togos sandwich maker (when I was a teenager) Where customers would come to only me to make their sandwiches and give me a good tip because of it. I always see lots of cars parked there so today I decided to see what it was all about. Well was I surprised how much foot traffic was present at 9:00 AM on a Monday. The smell of fresh baked items permeated the air. I decided to try several items. A jelly donut, cinnamon roll, cinnamon twist, and an onion bagel. Everything was super fresh and had a wonderful taste. Although the bagels are steamed and not boiled, it had an excellent soft texture and remarkable taste. The onion on the bagel was super good! The restaurant is kept very clean, including the restroom. The servers behind the counter were polite, friendly, and professional in appearance. Another great place I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Yummy

I ordered a plain black tea iced during this crazy heat wave in March 2026 and a tuna sandwich with extra tuna added cheese toasted. For the price, it was kind of a fit of a bad deal in my opinion just because I enjoy getting a foot-long tuna sandwich from Subway that you can often get for a great deal as a combo. For the sake of supporting small businesses I was OK with the ambience the price of the service. For today's mission, the Wi-Fi was a bit slow with 12 MB per second upload, which is kind of what I get at home so after I finish my meal, I packed up and headed to the library which is just across the street. I can definitely see myself bringing my three dogs here as there was a girl who left her dog outside while she ordered and she spent a few minutes outside on the deck i'm sure this place gets really crowded especially when the weather is nice. No complaints five stars.
