They strive to sell as many new HVAC units as possible by fraudulently telling you your current unit is beyond repair and must be replaced. Then they incorrectly install your new until, leaving you at risk for an electrical fire. They also install it in such a way that it will quickly suffer damage from condensation that they should have installed buffers to protect it from. Then, six months later, they begin telling you about the rust damage (from what they fail to do during installation) and suggest costly steps you need to take to repair the damage. You will begin dreading their twice yearly visits because they will try to convince you each time that there is another $5,000 part replacement or modification that you must have if you don't want to have to replace the entire unit very soon. It's a nightmare so don't put yourself through it.

Four years ago, Pure Water Plumbing & Rooter Inc. replaced a section of my home's sewer pipe and…read moreprovided a 10-year warranty for the work. Approximately two years after the replacement, the sewer line became blocked again. I contacted the company for warranty service, but they claimed the issue was in a different section of the pipe -- not the portion they had replaced -- and therefore refused to take responsibility. This explanation did not make sense to me, since if the entire line was at risk of failure, they should have informed me at the time and addressed the full problem rather than performing only a partial and temporary fix. I then hired another licensed plumbing company to inspect the issue. Their findings were as follows: "The connection between the new ABS pipe installed by Pure Water Plumbing & Rooter and the existing clay pipe failed. The band (a type of coupling) used to connect the two materials deteriorated, allowing roots to grow in and causing a portion of the old pipe to collapse. We will need to cut out about three feet of the damaged area, reconnect the pipes properly, and use appropriate fittings." This indicates that the connection made by Pure Water Plumbing & Rooter failed and directly contributed to additional damage in the sewer line. The issue appears to stem from improper installation or use of inadequate materials during their original repair. As a result, I now have to pay another plumbing company to repair both ends of the section that Pure Water Plumbing & Rooter had replaced -- even though their work was supposed to be covered by a 10-year warranty.

The water heater showed an error indicating the gas control valve needed replacement. Another plumber came yesterday and told me the valve needs replacement, the part costs $300, and then after getting the part which would take three days, he could fix it for about $400 for labor. Today, Billy came here and instantly saw that the pilot light had gone out. He showed me how to relight the pilot light. Re-lighting the pilot light made the error message about the gas control valve go away. Within minutes the hot water was back on. He didn't charge me a dime. So I took the opportunity to show him other plumbing problems in my house. He gave me really good feedback. When it's time to fix something else that's wrong with the plumbing in the house, I will definitely call Billy.
