Called to fix a home leak, was focused on selling products rather than the service. Charged 4k to fix the leak and leak was never fixed. I called after the inquire about it and if the leak wasn't under warranty they would charge a 1300 re dig fee even though the main reason we called them in the first place was to fix the leak. Would have been one star... but I did get a full refund of my deposit. Quoted me a 40 gallon 'scratch n dent' water heater... brought a dented 47 gallon, then claimed it would not fit... took out the old heater and left the site. No call returned that Thursday, nor Friday, nor all weekend. After sending threatening emails I did get a call Monday offering the refund. When you get them to do a job, notice the mandatory membership! That 18$ is not a one time fee, that's *per month* for a *year minimum*. For your 220$ you get one water heater flush and one sewer pipe camera look. Hey Max... you could really improve the communication skills of your company, I felt the job was unmanaged. The bad reviews this company gets in relation to pricing are legit and I wish I didn't use them for this reason. They are highly overpriced but when you have an emergency and don't know any better I guess shame on me. With a large family, dogs, cats, goats and chickens it never even crossed my mind to not get the water back up as quickly as possible. I had my pressure relief valve break last week and since they were basically the only company available in our area 24/7 I gave them a call. I had to pay the after hours fee of $150 for them to come out. Once the nice young tech was here, he did his assessment and informed me the price to fix it would be around $1300! I had to ask what the price of the parts were and he informed me about $150. So basically the $150 diagnostic fee would be rolled in to the $1300 which means labor alone would be $1000! I was told they charged per job and not the hour. Another slap in the face is that after paying for the after hours fee and signing that I will accept the bid I was informed that the parts wouldn't be available until the next day which would have given me more time to find more quotes with reasonable prices. I am so deeply upset. A girlfriend was staying at my house when she said the shower and toilet stopped draining. I called Reliant because of their reviews, and when they came out the next day, I was told that they needed to unclog the drain. I received no videos or anything of the snaking the drain despite being told that I would, and a invoice for $470. After now having a septic service come out and another plumber from Clark Kent to actually clean the drain, it was as if my technician from Reliant never even came and or actually cleaned anything. The new plumber removed a massive chunk of grease from my pipe and ran it back to the super pump, and now I've had to have three different appointments to solve. Certainly would've still needed for special show list for septic to come, but I wouldn't need them to come again or a separate plumber if it had actually been cleaned correctly. Not to mention that both the services were $250 to $350 each, significantly less than the Reliant pricing. I should've just had my friend pay the appointment fee and never gone through with a clog clearing to only be out $400 extra. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I contacted Reliant Plumbing the morning of Monday, May 6th. In attempting to replace failing refrigerator it became evident that the cut off valve to the icemaker water flow was defective. I had the water turned off to prevent damage to my home. Alan from Reliant came around noon. I assumed he was a plumber for he did not identify himself in any other manner. He listened to my story and asked to look at my plumbing situation from the cut water cut off valve outside into my kitchen. He was obviously "inspecting" the current plumbing installation situation. He then informed me that box would have to be replaced, which meant cutting into dry wall and potentially cutting the main pipe and installing other "fitting pieces". He pulled up an image of the box $116. I informed him that this was 2-3x the cost of the same box I could purchase at a plumbing supply store or Amazon (ie. $17-32). I told him that I would accept that cost. He then provided a non-detailed bid of $1160.00 for the job. I told him that that cost was exorbitant, he said it was an estimate but asked me for a check to proceed with the job. He then said "we" would return in about 3-4 hours to complete the job. It was only when the actual plumbers arrived, Roman and Joe, at 4:41 pm (documented on Ring) to perform the work did I realize that Alan was only a salesman and not a plumber. The task required 40 minutes (Ring documented). This is going to be a long review but I think it is important to have all the facts. I have used Reliant on several jobs over the last couple of years, they have always been reliable and completed the work just fine. My only issue until now has been price, they are ridiculously overpriced but I was willing to pay for acceptable work. Recently I move into a new home and needed to have the toilet removed and reinstalled to put in grass cloth wall paper. Simple job of in and out however when reinstalling the toilet the plumber scratched my marble tile. To his credit he did not try to cover it up and said they would take care of getting it fixed which I greatly appreciated! He gave me the information for the company they use for this sort of thing (clearly this has happened before) and when I didn't get a call about scheduling the repair I looked up the tile repair company (I will not name them because this review is not about the tile repair company) I will say that when I looked at the reviews for this repair company they had several bad ones along the lines that the owner was rude, aggressive and homophobic. I am not going to have that sort of small minded hatred in my house so I called my own tile repair company. They came out and fixed the scratches and then buffed the entire floor. Voila looks like new again! Reliant did call me several weeks after to attempt to make resolution and when I sent them the invoice for the $700 I paid to have my floor repaired they finally called me back to tell me they would only be paying half of that. Then because I refused to pay my final invoice when the incident first occurred because of the damage they decided they were deducting that and my credit for their damage of scratching my brand new marble tile floor was around $100. Again to their credit they did call my tile company to research but they misunderstood the work that took place and when I offered to get more information they refused and said the $100 would be all the money I would be getting back from their damage. My repair company buffed out the scratches and then to make it all look the same buffed the entire floor. You don't just buff a 12 x 12 section and leave the rest of the floor un buffed. That would be like waxing your car and only buffing one section out and leaving the rest of the car with a wax film, you've got to buff the entire car just like my floor. I felt like they were looking for an excuse to say they tried but then just couldn't live up to doing the right thing. I mean even if they had offered to split the cost with me would have been fair but to tell me I paid $700 to fix something they broke and offer me $100 is insulting. Ask this company to replace two O-ring wax gaskets on two Newly purchased and completely built toilets working in good standing and they were already installed toilets working fine but the wax seals were failing slightly and water was seeping under the base onto the tile floor. And by the way that would seem simple as other companies quoted a staggering $100 an hour and estimating 2 hours plus parts over the phone. I thought that seems reasonable over the phone. But I needed a real quote in person. Reliant wanted $90 just to show up then a quote would be revealed? Wouldn't tell me a hourly rate? Well guess what they came back with after 5 min walking into home. I was completely floored! This guy told me $820.00! Say what ? I will call this plumbing review part one. I have waited well over a month to post this review, you will see why a little further along. Mid March my toilets and shower started backing up. I'm a DIY kinda gal so I rented a plumbing snake from a local rental place, pulled my toilet (we haven't known where our clean out plug is since we moved in 15 years ago) and tried to unclog the issue. No success. Figured the neighbors would appreciate us not peeing in the backyard so I looked around for a plumber on a Saturday and made a few calls. These guys called me back and we set something up for that afternoon. It is important to note here that my neighborhood is all in septic. In an effort not to make this a six page review, here are the highlights: -The technicians arrived on time -They told me it would be 490 bucks to unclog using the snake and if they couldn't unclog it with the snake they would need to use the wet jet which was over a thousand bucks! -There would be no guarantee (warranty) -After about an hour they unclogged the drains, hesitated to tell me that my lines were clear and that I might need the more expensive water jet if this didn't work. -They put their camera in the pipe inside my septic pump tank (last tank of the system that pumps the grey water to my septic field), and said I might have a 'belly' in my line. So I paid them almost $500 bucks and went about my weekend. About five days later I noticed my toilets and drains were sluggish. Sure enough they started backing up again. This time I called a different plumber with good reviews. They came out and told me it would be $232 to unclog my line but FIRST they needed to see if my tank was full!!! Go figure - my tank was full. The plumber opened the tank and was able to shove some of the solids down so that I could at least use my plumbing til the next day. Yup, so the next day my tank was emptied and I haven't had issue since. I did contact Reliant to talk to them about this issue. The technician called me back and was extremely defensive. In addition, I wrote a letter to the supervisor. I explained the situation and what I thought would be fair, since I believe they should still be compensated for coming out, was to refund me half the $500. This would have offset the cost of the second plumber and made things right. I heard back a week later from the office manager denying my request. Bottom line - I believe the technician was inexperienced with septic and should have checked the septic tank levels first. ****Post notes After hearing back from the owner several points should be made. First, providing a camera at "no extra cost" is simply untrue. The cost was almost $500 and the technician told me it was part of the service. Second, you cannot see if my tank is full if you do not look at the solid tank. I have clarified in the photo that my tank was unburied by the SECOND plumber not Reliant. Reliant simply looked at my pump tank. Lastly, the technician inserted the camera into my pump tank and told me I had a belly in my line. My pump tank goes to my septic field not my house. Again, my belief and the second plumbers thoughts were that the snaking Reliant did pushed the solids down enough to give us relief for a few days but ultimately, logically, if my solid tank is full no amount of snaking will solve the problem long term. And if you are an experienced plumber with homes that are on septic, you know this! Also noted on the INVOICE (see attached pic) is the recommendation of the thousand dollar 'jetter' service to clear out dirty water to see issue. The Reliant technician noted that day that although the clog seemed to be fixed the draining was not what he expected and the water in the line was 'dirty'. Yup, cause the solid tank was FULL. Sell me another expensive plumbing procedure but never mention the obvious. read more

Horrible company, avoid at all costs. Jacob Whitley came to our home and didn't even test pipes and claimed they had leaks quoting over 16k to repipe just the hot water lines in 2 bathrooms (manager came out and confirmed they did not have leaks; actually testing them) the pipe we knew was leaking was not capped and he capped the wrong one (in a completely different room) and ended up with more damage than necessary after claiming the leak was fixed. Manager had to come out the next day and correct his errors. Jacob was not up front with the pricing and we have surprise charges over $2000 for leak detection that was only half done and just damaged our home without fixing the problem. Been waiting weeks and several phone calls to get a copy of what I signed for the leak detection. Came to our home at the end of May and is now 2 weeks into July still waiting. The not sure if this is how the company normally operates or just a terrible employee but it is not a good representation of the company. Way overpriced. Over 3x any other plumbers and sadly that is not even an over-exaggeration. Save yourself the hassle and the money and avoid Reliant Plumbing Edit: response to Max H- I've been calling that line given and the girls that answer just give a run around and claim they can't transfer to a manger directly. I've also been in contact with the manager directly for over a month. Though Alec has been kind and understanding and I believe a good manager, Its taken over a month to get what I've asked for and still haven't had the issue resolved and being charged a surprise fee that I was not informed about and thought I was signing for the fee that I was told about and the amount shown on the bill. It only states at the end of the description of what is being done about the extra fees so all in all appears as a hidden fee in the text. only reading the start appears as just a description of what work was to be done and not added fees. Had I known about those additional fees I would have refused the detection to begin with as the initial amount was too high already. This is a long review. Please, bear with me. Reliant rocked it! I live in an apartment complex. When I moved in, I complained of extremely low hot water pressure in my shower. After 9 months and numerous requests to get this fixed, I had to take matters in to my own hands. I could go in to more detail but that is for another review. This review is for the Reliant Plumbing. Please keep in mind, my hot water pressure (in my shower) was so low that I could barely take a shower and absolutely could not take a bath in the garden tub with jets. I often had to rinse my hair in my kitchen sink!!!! Since the apartment complex pretty much refused to fix my issue, I decided to hire a plumbing company to diagnose my issue. Honestly, it was to diagnose that I did, in fact, have an issue. I called three companies. Only one company called me back, immediately, and scheduled an appointment to come out and do a diagnostic. I was told that I would receive a text that would include the technicians name and picture. The very next business day, I received a text that included the name, picture and safety precautions (Covid) that the technician would follow. Jason arrived on time and ready to look in to what issue I was complaining about. He was professional and kind and took the time to look in to everything. Because I had done a lot of research, I had a lot of questions. He was patient and happy to answer every question that I had. He confirmed that I did, in fact, have a legit complaint. He wrote a diagnostic report with the first and least expensive fix. The report advised that the cartridge should be replaced. I submitted that report to my apartment complex. Finally, the maintenance team, at my apartment complex, agreed to change the cartridge. Unfortunately, this did not fix my issue. Devastated, I contacted Reliant Plumbing and asked if this could be the only issue. I received a reply immediately. I was told that they would reach out to Jason and see what the next step might be. Within an hour, I received a reply that the diagnostic was for the first possibility but that the next step would be to replace/rebuild the valve for the shower. I sent this information on to the apartment complex. A week or so later, the complex sent their plumbing company to look in to the issue. Two men entered my apartment (one on the phone the entire time). They walked in to my bathroom and right back out. They didn't even turn on the water to see how bad it was!!! As they were leaving, I asked if they were going to do anything? His answer, moving the phone away from his face, it's not just you, it's the whole building. They proceeded to leave. I then received a message from the complex that the entire building had a pressure issue and that a very expensive fix would have to be done that included turning off the water for the entire building for up to 5 hours! What????? This made no sense! I had great water pressure in all my sinks! It's was only my hot water pressure in my shower!!!! I'll spare you even more info about how the complex management replied and how hard I fought them. Next, I decided it was time to get yet another diagnostic done to present to my complex. Of course, I called Reliant Plumbing. I knew they would respond and show up ASAP! I just wanted to take a decent shower!!!!! As expected, Reliant sent a tech out that very day! Same text and information that I had become accustomed to. Stephen was on his way. He arrived and was kind, patient, professional and was willing to answer ever question I had. He took his time to check the entire apartment and water heater. He wrote up a quote to replace/rebuild the shower valve. I sent that to the complex blah blah blah. Luckily, my apartment complex gave in and said that they would hire Reliant and they would be out, the following Monday, to fix my shower valve. As expected, know I Stephen and another gentleman were here to fix my shower valve. They worked to rebuild the valve. They were courteous and clean. They completed the job and finally, my shower was fixed!!!! Thank you!!!! It's a shame that I had to work so hard to get my shower fixed!!! However, with Reliant, I finally felt that I had someone on my side! I cannot say enough about Reliant Plumbing! They were reliable and trustworthy! Finally! Thank you Reliant! read more

I should have read the other reviews. I was not provided any quotes online and was told that they could only be provided when the technician showed up. He showed up 90 minutes into the time window. He looked at it for 1 min and quoted me $515 to start to unclog a sink. I shared my concern that usually, it costs between 100 and 250 and that it was a bit of a bait and switch. That I would pay the $89 call fee, but it would come with a review describing my experience. The tech told me it was very unfair and wrong for me to do that. I told him that for me, it was important to be factual and let others know what to expect. The tech then got anger management issues, got furious, and walked away, telling me not to worry about the fee. I asked him to please document it, and he just told me, don't worry, you won't be charged. I would have probably not left this review if he had been professional. I just hired someone on TaskRabbit who did the job in 20 minutes and charged me $85. read more

Wow, I think I may have been defrauded by Reliant plumbing and I absolutely would not recommend their services to anyone: We needed our washer and drier valves replaced (so they said) due to having a fused hose on one of them that I could not get off. They charged me to come out and tell me they couldn't replace the hose and would need to have the valves completely replaced. After missing two appointments to do that where they said they'd send somebody out and not only didn't, but did not even have the decency to call or email and let us know they wouldn't be coming out, we finally got a plumber over. They charged us $670 dollars to replace the valves and hoses, and the same day after they left one of the valves started leaking and the hose leaked when hooked up to our washer. I called them to request that be fixed and they told me that due to my water pressure being too high (90 psi) they not only did not warranty their work or parts, but they would due absolutely nothing to assist me...unless I'd pay them another $2000 dollars to install a part to lower our water pressure. I'll point out for the record that our previous valves that they replaced, despite being old, did not leak. It almost feels like something that was done intentionally to squeeze more cash out of us. Buyer beware if you decide to use Reliant Plumbing. Reliant had the opportunity to be a great company. Fast service, knowledgeable plumber. Was it worth more than 2-3x the cost of any other plumbers we spoke to clear a clogged pipe after we had the work done. NO! Granted this was a Saturday afternoon - The price to clear a clogged pipe (about 1.5 hours) was EXTREMELY expensive ($950 total - $500 for a camera to confirm clog, $500 for quick 10-minute auger of pipe, $50 off for new customer). The plumber who came out was very professional and suggested the camera first then auger. He found the clog using the camera and cleared it with an auger. 3 Plumbers that I called stated that they never would send a camera down first. Auger first and if the clog can not be cleared then the camera. This was an unnecessary $500 step. On Monday I spoke with Steve the superintendent, I told him I felt very taken advantage of. He did credit me back $100 but honestly, it should have been more than that! Thanks for your reply Max. Yes, we knew what had gone down the drain. We also told The gentleman that came out that my husband tried to auger it. He still should have augered first to see - we are not the professional. They would not give me a quote and said only the technician on site could provide pricing. They arrived and said I had the right regulator. Approx. 1.5-2 hour job.
