We got a quote from Anderson Windows for our house in Santa Ana. So this review is not necessarily for the Vegas Locations. The salesman was excellent and explained the differences between Anderson and other window replacement alternatives. The software he used to show the windows in the sizes we needed and some of the cleaning and safety features was good. We probably won't go with Anderson for only one reason. Cost. We got a quote for 6 bedroom windows (all the same size approx 2x4) and 4 smaller windows (in bathrooms) in black with panes for $31K. If we included a bay window replacement it would be $41K. In plain white with no panes the same 10 windows would have been $26K. All price options blew me away. I was expecting around $15K or less. Many advertise at 10 windows for under $10K. I'll check those places out and get a feel for the quality of their windows before deciding. read more

spent over $36,000 on 3 doors and 1 window. installation was absolutely awful. They have been out to try and repair, replace or re-do install issues 10 times. damaged an existing window over door which they said was not their fault. One remaining issue they said was done by me stating I must have hit door on bottom of frame with a hammer or something like it, even though they just replaced a damaged weather strip and adjusted door due to it not sliding properly. thought maybe it was bad luck or I was picky, sadly a neighbor replaced windows and I saw again what an awful install job and numerous visits to try and fix. This past weekend, I shattered my patio glass door. Petar from Renewal came out and gave me a quote of $10,921 to replace the entire double door, not just the glass. I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income. I think it was unethical of Petar to try and sell me an entire double door when all I had to do to replace the glass from one door. I would've given him a 5 star review if he referred me to a glass company instead of trying to take advantage of me by selling me an almost $11,000 door. It wasn't until I reached out to a family member and they recommended I reached out to a glass company. So now the glass company is going to replace my door for $900. read more

On 5-15-24, David Sandoval, the salesman from Renewal by Andersen Windows came out and measured my house for two new windows. At no time did he say the windows would hang out 1 ¾ inches from the stucco, or that I would have to take down my shutters or if the shutters was to stay up they would have to stay close for the new windows to fit. If I would have known that up front I would not have proceeded with the windows. Come the day of the installation, 7-24-24 the installer advised me that the widows would not fit correctly. The windows would hang off the stucco an inch and three quarters. The installer advised me to make the windows fit flush with the stucco, the shutters will have to remain shut or be taken down completely. He advised me I could hold off on the installation until talking to the salesperson. We both tried contacting the salesperson on the installation day but could not connect with him and he did not return our messages we left. I contacted the finance company and advised that since the windows did not fit and I never took delivery of the windows, I wanted to cancel the windows. . I was advised that Andersen would cancel the windows but I would be charged $2,124.75. I should not be charged anything as the windows was measured wrong from the beginning and the salesman was not honest about what the windows would look like when installed. read more

There fix for an alignment problem so a person can set the house alarm is to drill a different hole in door to set alarm. Leaving you to look at the original hole. Then at the bottom of the sliding glass door is a smooth rub that removed the paint, looking at the door the gap at the bottom and top are different. They said it was caused by dogs! OMG zero claw markets on the door. Great sales presentation, great workers but ZERO communication between the sales guy and his workers. They promised in and out in 3-4 days. After four weeks, we're still waiting for the screen door and inside floor trim. I get it. Things happen. BUT the glaring issues is with management. Installers put a door trim inside rather than tapering the wall as we agreed. They didn't even ask and we didn't see it until they took the plastic down. We decided we were ok with it but nearly four weeks later, we still have an unpainted trim. I'm tired of having workers at my home. I probably tipped over $200 to the parade of workers here. I'm done. They actually sent a painter who refused to paint the trim, cause he wasn't told to paint it. I told them I would paint it and would need to charge them my hourly wage. Buyer beware. Bait and switch is real. I called Anderson asking specifically for exterior bifold doors. I repeated my question for clarification. The woman said yes they installed exterior bifold doors, twice. I scheduled an appointment, the salesman came out and immediately told me that they did not in fact, sell or install bifold doors. He looked at my space and said I couldn't fit bifold doors in that space, but one of their sliders or French doors would be beautiful. Upset that I'd been lied to, and that my design was supposedly unattainable. I decided to go with the French doors. Then by happenstance, a few weeks later I was calling to cancel, but mistakenly called another company that came out and gave me an estimate for the bifold doors that I wanted. Anderson of course would happily cancel for a 25% cancellation fee. That was almost $5000 for nothing but disappointment. Anderson also lied about when their door would be installed and claimed that the door had been built a month ahead of schedule and therefore I could not cancel for any less than the 25%. For you budget conscious folks willing to take a chance, Anderson apparently has a warehouse full of doors and windows from jobs that have been canceled. Ask about them and get a deep discount, in theory. I doubt they'll be truthful about that warehouse, but who knows what the truth is: does it really exist and if it does, why can't you sell what's in it? read more

Don't fall for the heat light behind the glass trick. Our salesman brought a small frame with the same glass we were getting installed at our house. This heat lamp was 500 or 800 degrees, i dont remember the actual temperature, and they hold it behind the glass to show how much heat comes through the glass. There was no heat at all that we could feel. Living in Fort Mohave Arizona, it gets quite warm, so this was perfect for our house. The original windows were double paned but they were 30 + years old and they were, in the summer on the inside of the house about 100 + degrees using a temperature gun. These brand new windows are the same temperature with only 100 + degrees days so far. The windows aren't as drafty as our original windows i will give them that. So if you want cooler windows for internal temperatures it's apparent these arent the windows for you. We have the Low E, Argon Gas, glass windows so we thought by getting these windows they would be cooler to the touch on the inside of the house than they are. We have shutters on our windows that help contain the heat, but what a disappointment. read more

We have 4 sets of folding patio doors in our home. Two of the sets came with the house at a cost of $50K. The other two were installed in the past 3 years. We have over 75K in just doors in the house. One of the sets has defective glass and need to be replaced. Andersen will send the glass panels but they want $4500.00 for labor. The first cost is $1000 for the trip charge. The additional costs are $900 for each door. They say if they can't complete the job once they are here I still need to pay the $1000 trip charge. Had I known about the poor service I would not have spent over $27K on the last two doors. We continued to buy from Andersen as loyal customers. I can assure you we will never again be using this company. read more

BUYER BEWARE! I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Nevada I had windows installed lass than 5 months ago and one of them started leaking during the last storm that came through. I called the customer service on a Friday afternoon and they said a manger would be calling me back about this issue. I never received a call and i tried for 3 days calling them and kept being told the same thing. Finally, the following Tuesday I got a call from service support to schedule an appointment. I told the CSR that the water was pouring in through the top of the window and down the wall into a outlet that I had a fan plugged into and all over the floor. Thankfully this did not cause a fire and that I was home because I have pet's and a elderly parent that would not have been able to escape. The tech showed up an hour early no phone call or text message letting me know. I told him he was early and he said "is that a problem"? I told him yes! My husband isn't here to help them and I work from home and cannot step away to assist them. He said just let me in the backyard where the window is. I showed him where the leak was coming in and had to get back to work. I only saw him and another guy with a step stool and a caulking gun. I have no idea if they fixed the leak or not because I was unable to talk to them before they left. I called customer service today and after being transferred 3 times I was finally able to talk to Uda, a customer service manager to discuss the issues I have been having. She read the techs notes from the service call and the tech claims that the leak happened because of a light that was in stalled above the window. First off that light was there before the windows were installed and they have before pictures showing the light was already there. The light is about 3 feet off centered above the window and no where near where it was leaking. OBVIOUSLY the window was not caulked the first time hence why it leaked. So, the tech lied in his notes blaming us for the leak. Unbelievable!!!! If you do choose to go with this over priced company make sure you take before and after pictures just incase the techs/company try to blame you for any issues! Also, make sure that when they do install your windows/doors that they clean up their mess because they didn't at my house and they didn't cover the furniture. I was at work so I was unable to over see all of this and my husband was exhausted from working all night so, he didn't pay attention. Lesson learned the hard way! read more

Virtually a scam. 2 hour long winded process then he finally tells me my 19 windows will be - drumroll - $120,000. Almost fell out of chair. Then he used some pressure sales techniques then admitted that nobody ever signs if he does not get them to pay on the spot. I was shocked and offended they thought I was so stupid! The finish on the corners of the windows is sub par, has gaps and they told me thaT IS THE WAY IT IS AND THEY CAN NOT FIT THEM. Well the windows from other manufactures I have since looked at have very nice joints and are not ruff and jagged this is from andersons quality control man "Hey John , wanted to give you an update on where we stand I tried pulling a window sash apart with absolutely no luck the glazing bead and VDV adhesive is not meant to be broken. The weld we spoke about is frowned upon and may give you problems in the future due to the window not being able to "breathe" I spoke with the factory about the miters on your windows and they say it's intended for expansion and contraction like we talked about. Everything is in spec and unfortunately there's nothing we can do about those. If you have any questions or comments please call or text me anytime thank you and I'm sorry I didn't have better news for you" (ME) So basically you're telling me that the way it is is the way I have to accept it even with its imperfections (Anderson)Unfortunately, Yes sir. We have had two separate window installations where we had no problems with the first installation. However, on the second installation back in 2023, we subsequently found 2 different issues recently on 2 different windows. One widow we discovered scratched that we hadn't noticed during our inspection after installation that the "factory" indicates it is now our responsibility to have it replaced for $480. There is no damage to the screen that is on that window and we are pretty much being told that we damaged the window. The second window has faint water marks inside the double pane glass plus a spec of yellow dirt that cannot be cleaned as it is on the inside on the window. We were told that we need to provide a picture when the water marks can be better seen so that the pictures can be provided to the "factory" so that the window can be replaced. We spent more money on these windows due to the expected durability, appearance and warranty, but typical of many businesses, once you have the product installed, it is your responsibility to pay and fix for any subsequent issues. read more

First off I do not want to bore you with mindless anger chatter! We got suckered into purchasing few things from this company back in May. Thanks to my husband! This NV office is run so poorly it's really sad- I don't know if they change there staff like they change there toilet paper! We have had nothing but issues from day one! How the hell are you going to send over your installers to do a job with missing key items? I get it! This is a quality product. We had 9 windows replaced in our home. It took 3 1/2 months from contract to installation. The installation was fast and professional. Our old windows were single pane so we've had a noticeable drop in energy cost. Anderson did everything they said they would without issue. While not cheap we feel that their windows are well made and they have a top-notch warranty. read more

I replaced all my doors and windows ($300,000 +/-) with Las Vegas Renewal by Andersen a few years ago. Today I need a tech to come make an adjustment on a set of French doors. The doors are fine...they just need to be adjusted to close properly. When I called for an appointment (I expected to pay for the service call) I was told it would be 26 days before someone could come do what Andersen says will be less than a :30 minute job. My house is under contract to sell. They were very quick to show up when I was spending money, but there's not a :30 minute period when a tech can come fix the door for nearly a month?? They were very helpful in one regard: they let me know that I can log on to the website for a tutorial about how to do the job myself if I don't want to wait a month for them to come. DO NOT BUY Renewal by Andersen products. I have purchased 5 products with them, two doors and 3 windows since 2020. Since then it has been nothing short of non-stop issues, not working as advertised, poor manufacturing and major delays on repairs. Both of my doors have been or are being replaced due to poor manufacturing. Here are my issues: Sliding glass door: This door cost over $10,000 and was warped. I noticed my blinds moving and realized that air was blowing in between the door and stationary window. Once the technician came out they identified it and ordered a new one. after about 5 months the scheduled an appointment. Once they arrived they told me that the door is damaged and have to order a new one. Had to wait another 4 months for a replacement. Atrium Door: This door was also over $10,000 as it is custom to fit the space. After about two years, we noticed water stains on the threshold. I removed the threshold and found water damage below. This leads to my basement where there is water damage to the ceiling. Called RBA and the technician once again told me the door is warped and needs replaced. After approx. 4 months, they call me to tell me the door is ready and scheduled an appointment. The day of the appointment they call and said there is a part missing and cannot do the work. When the part is ready they tell me the can have someone out in about a month! Now, I had to cancel that due to travel and once again, they cannot get someone out for over a month. Also, it took them 3 or 4 trips to get it installed due to a less than quality crew. The threshold looked so bad they had to order a new one because they cut it wrong. Here are my real frustrations: They do not apologize to you or prioritize existing customers. You would think they would take care of customers with issues better but I guess they really only want new business. They won't let you talk to a manager. They say one will call you but they don't. They will not commit to fixing my damaged ceiling as they ignore this demand. Their product is average grade. They do the heat test but in fact, my builder grade windows are only about 4 degrees different in how much heat the transfer. My mom's window cost about a 1/3 of these and do a better job. I live in the desert and was trying to reduce my cooling cost but they have had little to no impact. There is no Quality Control at RBA. They say they will add value to your home but I cannot see that. Save your $$$. Having two doors having to be replaced in 3 years should tell you everything you need to know. It is really sad considering before my experience I heard nothing but very good things about their window but this is a lesson learned. I have to give a shout out to only on person at RBA and that is Shannon. She is the most knowledgeable and honest person at RBA. She is a technician who knows how to troubleshoot and discuss the issue. She deserves a better company to work for. UPDATE 7/11/23 So, a service manager finally called me after my request to address my issues and after telling him my plight with doors, the only thing he said is he could replace my poorly constructed door a week earlier than the date they gave me yesterday. He did not want to hear about the issues i have had and so I have now concluded that there is no accountability or interest from RBA to hear anything bad about their products. The latest is, after Finally getting an invoice, which I requested many times before now(june, 2021), I realized that I was charged$900.00 for a plastic doggie door that I can purchase online for $74.00. The detail work on my entire project(painting, repair of damaged frames...is still not complete, yet I was told that they are done!! It's been three weeks since my windows and door were installed. Here's my front door. The sign says, "Please knock" because the installer shorted out my doorbell. Is that a huge thing? No. The huge thing is I've been trying to get someone to fix it for three weeks now and nobody will return my calls. The job is done as far as they're concerned, so I'm no longer important. At least that's the impression I get from the company. I finally have had enough and sent the photo to my sales guy 20 minutes ago and he said he would have a manager call me in 10 minutes... again, no call. For the high price they charge, you'd think someone would be thinking about customer service. Oh, and if you buy from them, their "My Project" site that they want you to use for project updates, etc. is useless. There's a feature there to request service, but nobody monitors that either. We had all new windows, patio door & front door rreplaced. We spent 30,000.00 (not financed), the crew was awesome, the sale person was great..follow up. SUCKS!! I have had two appointments canceled by them..today someone was auppose to be here between 12-4...I called the office at 3pm today..was rold my appointment was for tomorrow..NO WAY THAT IS TRUE.
