They also positively spoil ones taste in cocktails by providing an extensive menu of craft cocktails ranging from new-age modern twists to the traditional/classic speak-easy era craft cocktails, as well the incorporation of their own unique personal cocktails. Additionally, while they specialize in whiskey, there is also an extensive selection of tequila, gin, rum and vodka, a few different wines (both red and white), as well as a wide variety of bottled/canned beers that can be be chosen including both domestic and imports, as well as multiple local craft options which get periodically rotated out to further enhance variety. Amazing atmosphere! Amazing fun! I went in during the Lightning's playoff run and asked if they could put the sound for the game and they didn't hesitate on turning up the tvs. The staff is definitely one of the best in town. Me being a bartender for over 18 years and very judgemental and critical on other staffs, I can't say enough about my experiences at Repeal and the customer friendliness I have had. It's a kind of old school Mafioso, little Italy feel. Prices are reasonable and fun atmosphere. Have a hard time hearing anyone having a bad visit or bad time here. Would recommend to anybody. Repeal 18 is unlike an other I have been too. They were gracious enough to host a Moms Night Out for our local chapter of Westchase Moms Group. Liz and Avery, our incredible bartenders, gave exceptional attention to my friends and I while having our monthly night out. The drinks were all hand crafted and all the moms were raving about the perfectly blended cocktails. It is hard to find a venue that a group of 20-30 moms enjoy and after speaking with them, most of them plan on returning again with their husbands for a date night out. read more

I rarely ever write a bad review nor do I like to play the race card but the dumb blonde bartender last night blatantly profiled me for being black. Immediately as I walk In with my 2 white guy friends they ask her where is the women's restroom because I had to go so bad. My guy friends were pissed. They couldn't believe what they were seeing. It was so obvious what she was doing. Mind u I wasn't dressed scantily clad. I had on white jeans, floral print blazer, giuseppe heels, and a chanel purse. And I come out the restroom and meet my friends at the bar. They ordered their drinks and I'm like can have a glass of champagne and the same dumb blonde that pointed me to the restroom ironically enough was the same woman that says she can't serve me. And why I asked her why she says because u were stumbling when u came in... my response was I had to pee and I'm walking in 6 inch heels. I only had 2 1/2 glasses of champagne. So drunk I was not and that's when I realized what was going on. She collared me for being black. I did go off because she was a piece of crap. The manager comes to me and she apologizing but by that point it doesn't matter the damage was done. I told the manager if you walked into an established and u had 6 inch heels on and had to pee very bad u wouldn't be doing what I call the pee pee dance. That bartender had a smug look on her face which pissed me off even more. But that's ok. I will go back I won't let one ignorant woman stop me from going anymore. I wish I knew her name but that's OK I will never forget an ignorant face. read more

This is a prohibition style bar that serves handcrafted cocktails and boasts an impressive amount of bitters and an even more impressive amount of whiskeys. We had an awesome bartender. Shout out to Crystal! She was quick and knowledgeable and she was totally cool with the fact that our group kept on growing in number and getting louder and louder over an intense game of UNO (uno in the style of my friend Josh who created a version with his own awesome twist). The cocktails were all really great. I LOVED drink called The Gin Joint. It was so perfectly flavor balanced. The Highlander was recommended by Crystal and I loved it enough to have 3. I like that the drinks are strong but not too strong that you can't enjoy more than 2. No food is served here but you can bring your own. Prices range from $10-$13 a cocktail depending on the liquor used of course. The atmosphere is dark and cozy and a good mix of music plays in the background. read more

Visited this place on a business trip and it was GREAT!! The manager was amazing, she customized my friends drink and mine. She's even making her drink creation for my friend part of the menu! From an employment standpoint, do NOT work here! On the first day I asked about filling out the W4 and I9 and was told we would do that later and I said you don't even have my last name or address. They said they since they are independently owned (Dave is the owner and also owns the Dallas Bull) there was no rush to do that and it would be done on my next shift. Next shift came and gone. I'm not sure what kind of business they are running but its shady as hell. I was told I would have a paycheck after my 1st week, did I get a paycheck, NO! And when I contacted the owner and manager I got ignored, how convenient for them. Piece of advice...you pay your employees for whatever amount of time they worked for you. I will be posting bad reviews everywhere because of this. I don't recommended having a drink where they treat staff this way. You can find a craft cocktail bar anywhere these days. They are never busy and will probably be going under soon anyway. read more

After working and managing in the industry for many years it's always a pleasure for me to share unforgettable service experiences. This one in particular I'm still reeling over even months later. After our first day in a conference we found ourselves at this quiet bar that proved to be one of the best destinations during our time in Tampa. Now I must admit to being the person in the group who was not a drinker, yes I know going to a bar known for their quality alcoholic beverages and not drinking. However the bartender who also proved to be the manager creatively cocktailed two distinctively flavorful nonalcoholic beverages for me. She didn't even falter at such a request she simply embraced it as a challenge and didn't make me feel any less, and for that she made my experience. Also in doing so she created a great new beverage that she in turn thanked me for helping her to create. I watched her single handedly master the entire bar and greet each new guest with warmth and familiarity. I highly recommend this place & truly suggest you trust your bartender. read more

I'm a huge fan of hand-crafted/artisan cocktails. Downtown Tampa has Anise and the Fly Bar, Ybor City has Fuma Bella and Hyde Park has Ciro's Speakeasy. Given my location and the night I'm going out however it'll take me 20 minutes to get there and I'm out around 10 dollars to park just so I can get to the venue. Repeal has none of those issues; located in Westchase it's a different breed from the other bars like WOB, Blend and Mahoney's you don't go here for the shots or the scene you come here with a few friends to catch up on a few laughs and life and enjoy a good pour. Liz and Avery are very knowledgable in what they're doing behind the bar, the cocktail menu is geared to those who have grown out of or bored with your usual Vodka and Red Bull or Jagerbombs. Feeling a bit classy? Their Old Fashioned's are easy on the pallet of those who enjoy bourbon. Feeling adventurous? Try the same thing but ask for the jalapeno infused simple syrup for an exotic twist on their signature drink. If you can't pick something on the menu the bartenders are quick to offer great suggestions based on your palette. The only thing I ask of anybody coming into the bar is to have a good idea of what you do and don't like and be prepared to have those notions gleefully challenged with Repeal 18's offerings. read more
