    Function room

Here for a private function. First impression: Large parking lot! (Connected to a salon and such.) We entered through a back door that took us through the whole restaurant to get to the private function room. Decent size restaurant! The room held about 40 people. But still felt quaint. Had it's own private bathroom (great addition to a private party.) Tables of 8. Staff- very nice and on top of drink orders, also very efficient when we needed to add a chair to our table. Overall they did a nice job with the event. Buffest style! Even buffet style appetizers! Homemade chips, artichoke dip and mac and cheese balls. I think it was a vodka sauce to accompany the balls. Everything needed a little salt. The main course, Italian bread, salad with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing, lasagna, penne, chicken alfredo & chicken parm. Everything was a solid 3 stars. But the chicken was super thin and a lot of cheese came off in buffest style serving. This place would be a steady eddy of restaurants. You can always assure a 3 star night. (Although my tropical drink- I don't like the cinnamon added on top.)

This place was solid. Real score probably a 3.5. The good: Service was polite and attentive. The facility was well cared for on the inside. We were in a function room. Middle of the road: the food was buffet style, so always some downfall with that presentation (applies to everywhere). The cheese lasagna was CHEESY. What can improve: the outside of tje building needs some updates and signage to the front door would be ideal.

A great Italian restaurant located on 109 in Medway. Family owned for many years with authentic Italian food, as well as some American food. Our waitress was patient and there when we needed her. We started with the Focaccia bread appetizer. A huge piece of bread with plenty of garlic, tomatoes and olive oil. Wife had the lobster salad and was pleased. I had the chicken Pesto Tortellini, a giant piece of chicken with a nice portion of tortellini and a great pesto sauce. Son had a good size piece of steak, and daughter the salmon special. Everyone finished and were happy bellied. A nice older clientele, which shows that the food is good and the prices are right.

    Veal marsala

Their FREE bread and butter they bring to your table was 4 slices of WONDER bread! Lol Come on step it up!! By comparison the chain restaurant Longhorns gives you a very nice complementary warm loaf! I got the veal Marcella. The veal was very very thin medallions. Way too thin and tough. I would not recommend that meal. My wife got the chicken Marie, which was good but not great by any means.

I had the grilled octopus which was delicious and tender with a Mediterranean flair. I took a side of garlic broccoli which could have been cooked just a little bit more but was delicious. My wife had the fish and chips which I stole. A little bit of the chips were the best I've had. The fish was delicious. Of course we had to have a traditional old fashioned smoked which was quite a treat. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive. Funny and welcoming.. but what really killed it was the ambiance and Old Stone building with beautifully appointed decorations. It was a place that I would love to spend more time in. If you're ever in the area, we highly recommend it.

We've visited here several times since its opening. Love the build out in the old mill building…read more It's interesting that they distill their own liquors, but it's not the main attraction as they are all variations of things you easily find a ton of, either at most liquor stores or even from other area distilleries like Bully Boy. We've had fantastic food there in the past. Also some great drinks. There are a few reasons for the three though. One is that food can be hit or miss and I think prices are far too high for both the area and what you get. Example shown in my pic was a $35 "Steak Frites" entree, which was you can see is basically steak tips with tater tots and some random veggies and sauce put together in what was not the most appetizing manner. Unless the tots were handmade with exotic ingredients, this is not how a Steak Frites should be done, and even then Tots are a pretty low end alternative. Cocktails also on the high side, though the presentation of the smoked ones was really nice, even if the taste didn't warrant the price. Inside the place gets very noisy and the seating is too compacted, probably because they use a large part of the original building for the distillery operation. Also we went on a weekday, and their entire lot was filled, forcing us to find a grass strip to drive onto and park on. I think the reason was they had a private party on the second floor - I think perhaps they allowed too many guests there which took up most of their parking. Last thing about the menu .. we like that it changes, but this week there were not one but several dishes featuring Gochujang - an unusual flavor for sure, which I do like, but when I see something like that peppered across a menu it speaks to cost cutting in terms of trying to stretch one key ingredient. Just not that thrilled with where the menu is at the moment. The outside seating area is great and eliminates the interior noise problems. And I'll add we had a fantastic server! We will definitely come back, but if the prices remain as high and the food and drinks continue to be a mixed bag, that may not remain the case. And please don't overbook private parties unless you can take over the industrial business next door and expand the parking significantly.

Lots of knock knacks on the walls, many related to beer and trains. Deep menu of comfort food made from scratch. Good draft beer list. -- Depot Burger: Their more ambitious of two regular menu burgers (they also have some as specials) was a visual treat in a pillowy Portuguese muffin. This provided a full size patty cooked to medium rare with juices trickling from the gentle, loosely packed beef. Full-coverage Vermont cheddar added silky richness, red onion jam added contrast, and tomato and arugula added vegetation. The star, at least visually, was the bacon: crisp, yet soft and bendable, with glorious color. Flavor was even better, with a deliciously strong cure. The whole package worked beautifully. One of the better burgers I've had this year for sure. -- Fries (a $2 add-on to the burger): A big stack, hand-cut (they also have hand-cut sweet potato fries), cooked just to the point of crispness while leaving a little droop and fluff. Nicely seasoned. -- Beer: I was thrilled to see a Hill Farmstead Double Nelson on the tap list. Smooth, strong, and delicious. -- Buffalo Wings: Looked and felt a little different, so I asked. Baked, then fried, yielding some charred crust on the outside and some tenderness within. Good wings, but with great sauces: the homemade Buffalo sauce had some serious kick, some complexity (little bits of unknown herbs), and some vinegar too. Homemade blue cheese thick and zesty. On Mondays, $1 each in batches of 6 or more, and with a guest flavor on top of their interesting fleet (ginger is next). -- Quahog: A well-rounded stuffed pile with bits of chorizo crispily mixed in, served with lemon wedge. It needed it for moisture, but a formidable offering that still satisfied. -- Caesar Salad: A large one with two well-layered hunks of Romaine, with a zippy (maybe mustard-infused) dressing and a dense coverage of crispy pancetta. Numerous homemade, dice-sized, well-seasoned croutons. No additional Parm and no anchovy pieces I could detect on their, but that dressing didn't let me down. A different kind of Caesar, but a very enjoyable one. -- Steak Tips: Had as an add-on to the salad, this provided a taste without committing to a full order. These don't make my steak tips pantheon (Champions, Tuckaway Tavern, New Bridge Cafe), but decent. Cooked a bit past the medium rare but still somewhat juicy. Nice flavor too, but subtle. I wouldn't get these again; too many better things on the menu. Service at the bar was cordial and attentive on both visits. Friendly staff all around. Not everything was perfect, but so much of it was (and no duds) that it's impossible not to drop a 5 based on the overall quality of every aspect.

She and daughter who always order reubens aaid the sandwich was good. I had a Depot burger which was half lb beef, bacon, cheese and tomato. Excellent. Came w homemade chips and a spear. The buffalo chicken mac and cheese is great when the blue cheese crumbles are remembered, the chicken birria tacos can be flavorful but often missing the chipotle sauce or broth (or both!), and the southern fried chicken is frequently missing the gravy. The baja fish tacos can be soggy with inconsistent portions, and the honey mustard wrap is often more salad than chicken. Checking your order before leaving can help prevent some of these oversights. And again, when the kitchen gets these things right, you're in for a delicious meal. Some other items we love that haven't become takeout blunders yet include the burgers, the nashville hot chicken sandwich, the greek salad, and garlic parm fries. The southwest steak and avocado bowl, however, is overpriced for the small amount of steak, and the vegetable sides need much more seasoning. Overall, this place has a lot of potential and some truly great menu items, but the lack of consistency makes it hard to fully recommend.
