[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful location and ambiance in the upstairs rooftop![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Came for a date night dinner, they seated us in a table in the middle of the restaurant. Out of the food, the carpaccio and artichokes were the highlight. My fiancee was also a big fan of the banana split dessert! Easy parking lot right outside. Totally worth it for a splurge date night or a celebration meal!
[[HIGHLIGHT]]The views from this rooftop are absolutely stunning and it's a great spot to people watch (and maybe occasionally see a celebrity).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bottle of wine we got was delicious and our appetizers were also so good especially the burrata and the crispy veggies. Our server was so nice and brought great recommendations. The apps were better than our mains so I would absolutely come back for drinks and snacks!
This place was such a pleasant surprise. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bottom floor is filled with beautiful, high end furniture and decor, so walking through feels more like visiting a luxury, upscale ikea showroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But once you get upstairs the food completely steals the show. We came here for our anniversary without any real expectations for the food. Honestly, we thought the atmosphere would be the highlight. We were wrong! The food absolutely blew us away. We ordered the bluefin toro caviar carpaccio, the grilled shrimp & veggie salad, and the whole French roasted chicken with a side of potato puree. Everything was delicious, but the shrimp salad was easily my favorite dish of the night. I'm still thinking about that salad as I'm writing this. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, the grilled vegetables were flavorful, and everything came together so well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was also fantastic. Each table had its own chandelier, which made the space feel elegant and special. It felt fancy without being overly formal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was attentive, the setting was beautiful, and the food exceeded every expectation we had. What started as a dinner reservation for our anniversary turned into one of the most memorable meals we've had in a long time. We'll definitely be back and yes I'll be ordering that shrimp salad again!
Decor is very nice, host at the top floor totally useless and not helpful at all. Not everyone knows how everything works. I felt extremely unwelcome and uncomfortable. The staff did not seem like they liked their jobs or wanted to be there. I left after 10 mins of being not directed anywhere on the roof top. Yes, I didn't have rsvp but I've also never been to the establishment so I had no idea where to go. When I asked the staff where is the bar, they mumbled something about the Terrance and gave me a dirty stare, like I'm new here? Yes, I am. So yeah.. please work on how you treat people. Thank you
After dropping off Chase at UNIVERSAL PET HOSPITAL for his leg surgery the morning of Sunday, March 22, 2026, we decided to go out for breakfast or brunch. Mom recommended RH, THE ROOFTOP RESTAURANT at RH PALO ALTO. She called the restaurant and was able to book a 10 AM reservation for three. Located at the Stanford Shopping Center, we were able to easily and quickly find parking in the spacious lot. We arrived a little early, so walked around the Restoration Hardware showroom for a bit before walking up the stairs to the upscale restaurant perched on the third floor. The mansard space, with its floor to ceiling glass walls and roof, emulates a giant dazzling sunroom with trees growing out of the floor and elegant glass chandeliers hanging above nearly every table. The modern fountain and airy ambiance provide a relaxing setting for a nice meal while soaking in the glam surroundings and sunshine or admiring the beautiful sunsets. Outdoor seating is also available in their wraparound patio with comfy couches. RH PALO ALTO offers elevated American eats, plus beer, wine, and cocktails. The menu leans into opulent, fancified takes on classics, serving decadent dishes like CAVIAR CARPACCIOS (ranging from $18 to $28) and other CAVIAR SPECIALTIES such as GRILLED AVOCADO WITH CAVIAR ($38) and IMPOSSIBLY THIN HOUSEMADE CHIPS & DIP (15g $55, 30g $95). Below are what we ordered: LOBSTER ROLL ($36) - Z found this to be very good, I thought it was meh. The lobster could have used a bigger Dash of Mayo. On the small side. SWEDISH PANCAKES ($18) with fresh strawberries (for an extra charge) - I was disappointed that these pancakes were not served with the traditional lingonberry butter. These were not even warm enough to melt the slices of butter that topped them. KING CRAB ROLL ($58) - Also a petite serving, but this sandwich was tastier than the lobster version. Z said that it was very good, just like the lobster. HERITAGE PORK SAUSAGE ($12) - Flavourful; however, served cold. TRUFFLE FRIES ($20) - Fried to a perfectly golden crisp. RH BELLINI ($18) - Kudos to RH for serving an authentic bellini with genuine peach purée. This cocktail was yummy. Supposedly the BELGIAN WAFFLE was so remarkable to draw Mom back multiple times. Unfortunately, we were told that that they were no longer serving waffles. Mom was very disappointed by this. To boot, service was nothing to rave about. It seemed to be a bit challenging to catch the attention of our waitress to inform her that all of our dishes were served cold. When we finally got the chance to tell her, she didn't say much and appeared to leave us hanging. Later, the manager on duty came to speak with us, replaced most of the cold dishes, and comped an item. Still, this did not remedy Mom's dismay. She said that she will not return.
Such a beautifully bougie spot! It's the perfect destination for a lunch date or a girls get together. It's located on the top floor with a luxury hotel feel, and with the patio doors open, the space was wonderfully bright and airy. The interior is sophisticated, and the service is detail oriented and welcoming. We ordered the RH burger, lobster roll, fries, butterscotch brulee, and a cappuccino. The lobster roll was a bit small for the price, and while the burger was tasty, it was a little salty for my taste. However, the cappuccino was fantastic, and the overall food was good just be prepared for a pricey bill

The Palo Alto location is already nestled into what can only be described as beautiful land, this restaurant is like a world of its own.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]RH rooftop is located on the 3rd floor of the establishment and honestly it felt like I was dining in another country.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was top tier, menu choices were vast and the food itself was umami in flavor. Not only will I now have to visit the other locations but I'd highly recommend RH for any celebration or personal needs aka just because.
I can see why RH Rooftop Restaurant has such mixed reviews but after finally visiting for lunch, I'm really glad we gave it a chance. I had been hesitant to come because of what I had read, but one of my girlfriends suggested we make a reservation and try it for ourselves. Even with reservations there was still a bit of a wait to be seated, but honestly we didn't mind at all. Walking through the space and browsing the beautiful furniture displays made the time pass quickly and added to the overall experience. Where things slowed down a bit was with the service. From placing our order to receiving the food, everything took longer than expected. It wasn't terrible, but it's definitely something to keep in mind if you're on a tight schedule. That said, the food absolutely delivered. We started with the caviar and potato chips, which felt indulgent and fun to share. For lunch we both ordered the lobster roll, and it was spectacular fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I ordered the blackberry mocktail while my friend had the spritz, and both drinks were refreshing and paired nicely with the meal. The real standout, though, was dessert. We ordered the banana split-style brûlée dessert (I wish I remembered the exact name), and it was easily one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. The textures and sweetness were perfectly balanced and it was the ideal way to end our lunch. Overall, I would absolutely come back and would recommend it just make sure you have a little extra time to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.
This place lives up to the rave reviews! Came here with a group and we had an absolutely magical evening! Of course, this place gets very crowded, even during weekdays. So be sure and make reservation. I had to actually increase the number of people in our reservation and I was so happy that they were able to accommodate us! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Of course, the decor is stunning and gorgeous.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sometimes, the food can be not quite as impressive. That is not the case here! Service was extremely professional and friendly. And the food was delicious! Highlights are the lobster sliders with caviar. Also we loved the steak, salmon, salad, baked potato with caviar. Do not miss the chocolate chip cookies for dessert, absolutely amazing!
I went to RH Rooftop after seeing so many videos about how great it was online, and while I do have to say the restaurant was quite pretty and our server was so sweet, nothing really stood out to me otherwise. I didn't love the starters, which were the prosciutto board and the caviar blinis. I found the meat and cheese board to be pretty lackluster and would definitely recommend people to just skip if they're contemplating it. The caviar blinis were very light but truly didn't stand out to me either. However, my boyfriend loved them so maybe try if you're into a light, airy starter. I did enjoy the branzino because of the nice lemon flavor, but I do think it could have used more lemon and a tiny bit of salt. The salad was tasty, and if you lots of onions in your salad then I would recommend. Steak and fries were fine as well. Overall, the food was decent but nothing really stood out to me, and for the price, I've definitely had better. Probably wouldn't go again but I did want to give a special shoutout to our server (can't remember her name). She was the sweetest and really accommodating. She also gave us some chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream on-the-house after we told her it was our anniversary!
This RH Rooftop Restaurant has become one of our favorite places to go for brunch in the Bay Area. It's located on the outskirts of the Stanford Shopping Center. There are free parkings everywhere. Highly recommend you go early and make reservations in advance. The restaurant as well as the shopping center tend to fill up really fast, especially in the weekends. Do not be surprised if you walk in a furniture store. Simply take the elevator to the 3rd floor and you'll reach the rooftop restaurant. The cute glass ceiling and indoor greenery bring the outside in and you'll feel a sense of openness and freedom. The ambience was a win already for us. We were quickly checked in and led to our table. The staff who would be taking our order was busy chatting up the next table. When he got to us, he showed a different attitude. Instead of chatty chitty and chirpy attitude, he was matter-of-fact-ly despite us smiling at him. The staff who brought us food were considerate though. However, the staff who took our order returned at the end to take our plates away. He startled my sister a bit by not asking and just took her plate away. Other than this tiny uneasy experience, our food and drinks were great. We both order Italian Benedict's and believe it was the best item on the menu. It was made to perfection and the portion was so perfect. Otherwise, we totally enjoyed the ambience and the food, minus a tiny interesting experience. We ended leaving a big tip though. Our parents work in the service industry and we understand the importance of leaving nice tips. However, service could have been a bit better :)
We went there on a Monday late afternoon lunch. We had reservation but on a Monday, the restaurant was pretty empty unlike on a weekend. Their food options are almost all at $$ price. But they do have some good food options. Their chicken dishes are my favorite. There is unfortunately less options for Vegans. Their beer is very good. So is most of their wines. This restaurant is more of a date-night kind of place and not so much of a family friendly place, especially with young kids. The staff is friendly and the ambience is top class. This place definitely checks out for their good vibes but not so much for the food.

This is one of most beautiful restaurant that I have ever been to in California and I do love the concept of RH Gallery at other floors where you can enjoy beautiful home furniture pieces. The service and staff were alright during my visit, nothing exceptional about it. But the ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful, interior design were on point with skylit garden theme, it also have panoramic views but tbh there is nothing to see outside lol. For the food I can tell they use very fresh ingredients for their dishes, seasoning were balance, but I guess I was expecting something a little bit more wow to my taste. The drinks are beautiful and taste alright as well. Overall my experience was alright, nothing bad but nothing too good about it. It's still a nice place to visit if you are looking for a place with beautiful views and want to do something different than steakhouse for a fancy dinner. read more
Went here for a work lunch and the ambiance was so beautiful. We started with burrata and crispy artichokes for the appetizer. Both were so delicious. I ordered the Caesar salad, mini lobster rolls and grilled shrimp appetizer portion as my main and everything was really good. The dressing on the arugula that came with the shrimp dish was really salty. For the most part prices were fair except the price for a plain Caesar salad was high for what it is. The menu for lunch vs dinner is pretty much the same. Lunch offers some brunch items which is the only difference. I wish they had more options entree options for the dinner menu so I'm not sure if I'd come back for dinner. I might just stick to lunch. Those mini lobster rolls with caviar is a must!! I am still dreaming about them. Will def come back. read more
One of the most beautiful indoor ambiances I have ever seen. It's on the pricier side, but you can just get wine or coffee from the wine and coffee bar and sit outdoors on the patio. I got a glass of white wine, and they were very nice -- they gave me multiple tastes before I chose one. I can't speak to the meals, but I loved the vibes and the atmosphere. I'm sorry but the food was terrible! Everything was salty, the amount of salt on the carpaccio toro caviar. Like the caviar is already salty by itself. Then the lobster roll was also salty with the salted butter and caviar, it needed more crème fresh. Then I couldn't stop laughing at the "salad" which was worth $40 for a head of lettuce (not cut up) green beans on top and then the salmon on the side. It took an hour for the lazy salad to come out too lmfaooo Come here for the ambiance but the food was not good. read more
Went for a birthday dinner. The food is incredibly solid and the atmosphere is great even on a weeknight in Palo Alto! Reservations recommended and there's usually plenty of parking near here / this part of the Stanford shopping center. The burrata was a great appetizer and the tomatoes had perfect flavor to balance the cheese. The salad was great tasting but was quite a lot of toppings rather than lettuce / greens (something to keep in mind if you're looking for a slightly healthier option). read more
Made a reservation in advance and was really looking forward to dinner with my girlfriends. When arrived, we were offered to seat at a standard table in the middle of a busy area. I asked the host if we could switch to a round table, but unfortunately, the request was declined :( Despite that, we had a great time. Honestly, next time I might just walk in and take the next available table, making a reservation didn't seem to make much of a difference in seating preference. As for the food and drinks: the cocktails were excellent, especially the Bellini and wine. The salads were fresh and flavorful and the lobster roll with caviar was delicious. I came here for lunch with my colleagues and beautiful setting on the rooftop enclosed in glass. We got seated in the middle of the restaurant and acoustics were a bit echo-y. Service was nice and possibly a bit short staffed but overall no issues. Food was decent, but the standouts were the truffle fries and chocolate chip cookies. The salads were fine, not much to write home about. Overall, I would consider coming back for brunch for the vibes. read more

Absolutely loved! Having dinner right before sunset added to the experience. I was able to enjoy the views and natural light shining in, and then the lights and decor in a different way during the night. My girl and I came in to celebrate her 40th birthday. We both had such a good time. The food was delicious! Everything we ordered was so good. The delice cheese was so light and soft, with a slight salty taste which paired perfectly with the strawberry preserves. The bread was nice and crusty on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Our ribeye was perfectly medium and the broccolini was cooked just right. The chocolate chip cookie they gave us was warm and gooey and went well with our affogato. I really wanted to try the butterscotch brulee, but they were out! Apparently it's very popular. I must get it the next time I come back. We didn't realize there was a patio next to the dining room until we were leaving. Plenty of room to hang out with different seating areas. Our server, Alex, helped answer our questions about the menu, and helped us with recommendations. He must double as a photographer, because the photos he took of us in the restaurant were fabulous. read more

We visited RH to celebrate a birthday and it was such a great experience. The restaurant itself is gorgeous just like the others I have been to. We ordered burgers and the Swedish pancakes along with sweet potato fries and truffle fries. Everything was divine. The burgers were cooked to perfection. We ended the meal with their fresh chocolate chip cookies and they were incredible. Our server was super sweet and patient with us. read more

The inside and outside of this place were STUNNING. It's very outdoor-friendly, and I loved the patio deck view. Food-wise, it was pretty standard overall. I tried caviar for the first time, and it wasn't fishy at all (honestly it reminded me of a fancy version of sour cream & onion chips). The petite filet was solid, and the sauce paired well with the steak. The steak frites tasted a little burnt, but I did like the fries, they went well with the steak and were good by itself. read more
The lighting in the restaurant was immaculate since it was located on the Rooftop of the RH store. However the service was not up to par and the food took awhile to arrive. Asked for extra ketchup or water, it never came. Didn't have the same option for still water but was offered tap water that was sitting around. The prices were as expected, expensive. There was nothing special with the French fries. The American Breakfast & Italian Benedict were served with the same bread, very chewy and hard. The taste was just okay. This a very chic place to be seen- but the food leaves a lot to be desired. All the socialites and tata people living in PA, MP, Atherton, etc. like it here. I found the food below Burger King, the servers very arrogant, and the overall experience poor. I have now been here three times and the location and atmosphere and furniture is very nice, but the food is poor. Atmosphere 5 Quality of food 2 Quantity of food 2 Presentation 3 Taste 2 Alcohol 2 Parking 3- a long walk and an elevator ride Service - 2 Value 1 Giving the place 2 stars because sitting there is nice and they did not rush us. Very nice views. I can see on a summer afternoon this is a nice place to have a beer or glass of wine. Other peoples food was slightly better that is why I gave them 2 star for quality. read more

i've been wanting to try this place for a while since i kept seeing it on social media and omg...the ambience is actually sooo pretty. like genuinely stunning. the indoor/outdoor vibe is everything. i'd def come back in the summer just for that. but the food was kinda mid we got the prosciutto board and it was lowkey disappointing...literally just a few slices of prosciutto, some cheese, and grapes. the plating wasn't cute at all either. the lobster roll had shell pieces in it which threw me off...and the crème brûlée was sooo burnt it didn't taste good anymore. the beef carpaccio had no flavor to it. they just slapped on some caviar and called it a day lol overall, vibes = 10/10, food = ehh. i'd come back for the aesthetic but not for the food tbh. read more
RH Rooftop in Palo Alto is all about the setting. Gorgeous interior, high ceilings, chandeliers, and that chic rooftop vibe that feels made for a Sunday lunch with friends. When we visited, most of the tables were filled with groups of ladies dressed to the nines, and it really felt like the spot for a stylish midday hangout. We started with a bottle of sparkling rosé and the cheese board. Nicely done, a solid start to the afternoon. For mains, I ordered the French dip while my friends went with the lobster roll. The verdict? My French dip was just okay, but I had menu envy once I saw and tasted the lobster roll. That's what I'd order next time. The truffle fries on the side were delicious--crispy, fragrant, and indulgent. But at $20 for fries, it's definitely a splurge. read more

RH Palo Alto never disappoints! This was our third time dining here, and once again, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The space is absolutely stunning... elegant, airy and relaxing. What truly makes the experience stand out is the exceptional service. We were so happy to have Sanah as our server again, she also took care of us on our last two visits! Sanah is warm, attentive and just the right mix of professional and personable. She remembered us, made thoughtful recommendations and checked in at just the right times. It's clear she genuinely cares about creating a memorable dining experience. Huge shoutout to Sanah! Situated at the edge of the Stanford shopping mall, we came for a birthday celebration. 5 stars for ambience and services, 4 stars for food and maybe 3 stars for price. We came a bit early and started browsing the store on the lower 2 floors which made the visit interesting. The restaurant at the 3rd floor is very elegantly decorated and feels open and airy and bright and organized. We felt welcomed and taken care of. We were not impressed with the menu's creativity, so instead of going with an entree, we decided to order a bunch of smaller things. The Prosciutto board is simple but delicious as the bread is warm and fresh, prosciutto is not overly salty and the sweet grapes add a nice contast. We didn't find the Blini and Caviar wow and although we were recommended on the Gem Lettuce salad, I found it too overwhelmed with a bunch of other things. The Lobster Roll is standard, a friend complained the Shaved Ribeye Sandwich is too salty, the regular fries was actually our most favorite item. The Cucumber Mojito was ok but the Butterscotch Brulee was too sweet for even the sweet tooth eater in the family. Birthday celebration got a free Birthday cookie and they would first charge the bill and then deduct it. Eating in Palo Alto has a 4% mandates charge that I almost forgot. Our server Sanah was very good. She managed her service very well; we felt the pace of ordering and food delivering was good. We were given enough privacy to talk, yet at the right time, she would appear to collect the dirty dishes and pour water. Each time she came by there was a little small talk and that made the service just right. The nice ambience extends to the outdoor space. We were fortunate to sit at the table looking at the sunset and the entire yard. Maybe the RH hype is coming down as a few more RH have opened in the Bay Area, it was no longer as crowded as the first time we went to the one in Marin. Nobody was at the outdoor space while all fire heaters were lit up and we had the whole manicured space to ourselves. The same applied to the front entrance outdoor space, two big lonely firepits were burning with no guests. We had an enjoyable time. read more

Come here for the breathtaking view and decor. Stay for the delicious drinks and yummy food. Met up with friends in this gorgeous rooftop restaurant. First time at RH and it was nothing less than great! The restaurant is beautiful, but a little noisy if you don't mind that. The service was great and our server was very accommodating to us trying different wines and sauces. The steak frittes and the grilled shrimp were our favorites for the night! Start off by saying server was great. The food was cold , took forever to come out and was tasteless.. it was unseasoned literally. The lemon didn't even have flavor that's how tasteless the food was . Steak was over cooked yet cold. Literally nice to look at but nothing special. read more
What a beautiful restaurant! Fantastic service, an incredible view, and a stunning ambiance. I was very surprised to have celebrated my birthday and Mother's Day here. Everything was a dream. The food was incredibly delicious. The desserts were 10/10out of the park. I loved it so much that I was really interested in hosting a private event here. Unfortunately, I was informed that they do not hold private events and only make reservations for parties of 16 people. read more
The roasted chicken club was quite juicy but the bread was a little tough. The service was great but it still did take some time to get our order down and the food to come out. My son in law's lamb chops were room temperature and there was a hair on it. The time between dishes was too long. Our server forgot the two orders of shrimp. Excellent service . Joshua is such a great guy. He helped us take some photos and he brought us the food and drinks with such kind and thoughtful manner . That made our evening experience special. This is a roof top ( indoor ) restaurant inside the Standford shopping center. The interior design and lighting are amazing . So glamorous , yet with a soft classic touch . We ordered some cocktails and beer . The Kelp salad is amazing and delicious. It is such a big portion that all 4 of us cold share . We got grilled asparagus, which was fresh , tender and flavored. I was surprised that the asparagus tasted a lot better than that from steak house . We have one lobster roll and 2 shaved rye eyes sandwiches ( French dip ) . The rib eyes are tender and juicy, mixed with cooked onions to enrich the taste . The baguette roll was charred crusty and it tasted great . Inside has Swiss cheese that mixed with the rib eye steak . Lobster roll had fair amount of lobster that was seasoned to taste just right . Truffle fried came with good presentation and it was large portion and very tasty. Grilled prawn dish was grey too and the prawn was rich in flavor , not dried nor overcooked. I started to admire the skills of the chefs . The ambience was great . It was illuminated with many lights and glass windows and roof top reflection add a dreamy effects . Who goes to RH for food? Come on, you know you go for the the photo ups, chandeliers, outdoor fireplace and the ambiance. So they deliver just as expected, a mediocre type of food. From the greasy fried artichoke hearts, not so Chinese Chinese chicken salad to overly dried chicken sandwich to not bad roast beef French dip sandwich. Food is forgettable but the time you spend with a dear friend makes it a memorable timetime! read more

I don't think they have a specific dress code but it is a pretty fancy restaurant so I would dress accordingly; casual or dressy casual, jeans and nice top. No flip flops or super casual tanks. Hope that helps.

They do not have any vegetarian entrees but they do have veggie starters, salads, and side dishes: crispy artichokes, burrata cheese, gem & arugula salads, truffle fries, grilled veggies, whipped potatoes, etc.
