You can find this Rhea's location at 11490 Alpharetta Hwy Ste 600 Roswell, GA 30076 - this is a rather nondescript row of businesses that feature I think two restaurants, with Rhea's 2 towards the center. It's rather hard to see as the signage is basically nonexistent. There's parking out front, seems to be plenty with many people coming in and out, including lots of take out. This is one of those classic hole-in-the-wall burger joints - fairly no-nonsense with various burger and chicken combinations (double meat, texas toast or bun, etc) with fries or rings as options. You get a waft of cooked ground beef as you near the front door. The interior is sparse and utilitarian, but it fits in well with the burger joint theme. You're basically sitting in the same room as the small kitchen (mostly a griddle under an exhaust hood). If you're eating in, the same person greeting you will also take your order and later your payment - it's a simple business for a throwback to simpler times. On to the lunch - we each ordered the double meat option, mine on a bun and my friend's on Texas toast. I also optioned for the large fries while he got the small. The burger was closer to a smash burger but some crust but not the degree of, say MF Burger. Still very good and very satisfying. In all a pretty decent burger for a reasonable price, and close to the Mall to boot. I believe the original Rhea's was on Canton street - it's now a minute-mart type place directly across from Canton Street Stout Brothers. As it was then, service is still good but you need to be patient as there are only two people working in the restaurant.

My better half and I were in Roswell and wanted to grab a quick lunch on Saturday afternoon. We tried grabbing lunch at a deli where we had dined previously but it is closed on Saturday and Sunday. I checked Yelp and saw several positive reviews for Rhea's 2. We had trouble locating it because it is located in a non-descriptive strip shopping center with poor signage. It is located next to a Harley Davidson dealership and we finally pulled into the strip shopping center lot and parked in front of the restaurant. We entered and found a plain Jane, hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The owner greeted us and asked if we had ever dined at Rhea's 2. We told her it was our first visit. She recommended their #1 which is Jimmy Rhea's Special Cheeseburger. We decided when in Rome and the owner recommends a menu item that we should give it a try. We ordered the double patty and bacon on our cheeseburger. It comes dressed with tomato and shredded lettuce and is served on Texas toast. We both loved the cheeseburger. We also ordered a small side of onion rings and fries. My better half loved her cheeseburger and thought the onion rings were awesome. It was late afternoon and the owner was busy cleaning table tops and it was evident she takes pride in maintaining a clean dining area. The owner is also the server and cashier. There appeared to be only one other employee, the cook who was standing out front when we entered the restaurant. Our burger was enjoyable and the prices are great for the burger and a side. Check them out if you work in the area or find yourself on Alpharetta Highway near the hospital.

I was waiting at the nearby CarMax & needed lunch. The guy told me Rhea's was just a few blocks away so I walked down. It's in a small strip shop, pretty basic with tables & chairs & checkout stand & pickup counter. Service was friendly & fast. Like so often now, the default burger is a double. I got a single cheese w/ onion rings & unsweet tea. It came on nicely buttered & grilled Texas toast & was a good burger. I'll say getting the double probably improves the bread to beef ratio but the single was enough. Onion rings passable, but not extraordinary. Tea good with crushed ice so fine it's almost a slushy. My biggest concern after the fact is that I think I was charged for a double burger. Total was $14+ before tip. The double burger was supposed to be just $7.50 I think. I think side & drink were $3 each, so seems I was charged the double price for single but it didn't occur in time to ask.

We came to Rhea's for lunch on a Friday afternoon around 1:30pm. It wasn't busy which was great because we sat down right away and were helped right away! For those that care about the kind of ice a restaurant has, they had crushed ice which honestly made my day. We all ordered some variation of a cheese burger at the restaurant. I got the Jimmy's Special and we ordered large fries to share for 3 people. The large fries weren't that big which is my only complaint so would definitely get one more but the cheeseburger was delicious! The food came super quick and the employees were amazing. The Texas toast on the burger was great. Prices weren't bad, but the menu on here was different than the one in the restaurant so it was more expensive than we anticipated but otherwise totally worth it!!

Rhea's is a north Atlanta staple but I still think it's underrated. Some would say it's the best burger in Atlanta. To that, I say: it's up there! Rhea's has a "homestyle" burger, meaning they use Texas toast instead of the traditional bun. The bread is thick cut and soaks up all the butter on the grill-top, so this means leak flavor. I got Jimmy Rhea's Special, the classic choice. It was a solid 9/10. It comes with ketchup, mustard, Mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion, with 2 patties. It was so moist. Not too messy. And so delicious. I did miss the pickles which I think would've kicked this up a notch but...I see what they're doing here. It's a really good burger all in all. The fries? 7/10. Average. Edible. Hot and ready. Good enough! The chili dog was a 6/10. I just got it on a whim. Basic, but the chili was not the best. Not a lot of a flavor in this one. Honestly, I could've done without it. PRO TIP: If you like ice...like Chick-fil-A style? This might be your new place. They have really great ice here! Lol. I took a picture for reference. I can say this is one of my favorite places to grab a burger in the Atlanta. You should definitely stop by if you're looking to try a top 5 burger in the city.

No ambiance, no frills, just good hamburgers and fries. Their Rhea's Cheeseburger is a delicious burger. First of all the meat is perfectly cooked, with shredded lettuce, tomato, and chopped onion on french bread. A thing of beauty. The fries are cooked perfectly, crisp outside with a soft potato inside. They are consistently good. We have eaten here since the early 90's and have never had a bad meal. Great price also. They have a few other items on the menu but always get the same thing. Their sweet tea is so-so, the only knock. read more

I will never patronize them again. Employee at the location near King Road and Hwy 92 was incredibly rude. I walked in to order a take out order of two cheeseburgers with assorted condiments. My Dad favors getting his condiments on the side (pickles, lettuce, onions and such). When I requested that the employee pointed to the ketchup and mustard packets and said "Like that"?. I said the other condiments should be on the side. He said no we can't do that. I showed him my phone which has the 3 or 4 condiments listed and he said the same again" We don't do that". So I said OK and turned away to leave and then he blurted out "OK, bye bye". He had only one customer eating at one table! It wasn't like he was busy. i will never patronize them again. read more

Get the Jimmy's Special double cheeseburger with everything. This is the epitome of a classic cheeseburger on the most delicious buttery toasted bread. It is unbelievably delicious and is guaranteed to satisfy your craving! No one needs all that fancy shit when you're craving just a good ole cheeseburger and this place has been doin it right since 1983. Then just when you think it couldn't get any better, they serve Coke with slushy ice, true slushy ice! I don't know anyone else who has ice this good. What a dream! I had not been to Rhea's in months and it will be years before I give it another try. I just returned from lunch there and I am disappointed and a bit nausea. As I was eating my Double Cheeseburger at the counter, two cockroaches slowly made it across the counter and under the napkin holder. I told the cook and he chuckled. I got up, paid my $16.85 bill for a double cheeseburger and fry, while trying not to throw up on my way out. Such a tasty burger--A+! Burgers come on a bun or French bread (aka Texas Toast), grilled just so that there is a slight crunch. Beef was very flavorful, and was cooked on the other side of medium-well. Nice portion of chopped onions with the burger, also includes mayo and toms. I passed on the lettuce and mustard. Crinkle fries were good; we asked for them crispy. Even better were the onion rings, with a slightly crispy batter, served fresh out of the fryer. So good!! Rhea's is old school for sure, and a paper plate kind of place. Obviously popular with the locals, as there were plenty of folks coming and going for takeout, even at 1pm. I like the burgers and have been going there for years but today when a customer pointed out a roach bug crawling on the counter jimmy flew off the handle and then cussed him after he left. After reading some reviews evidently the roach has been living good off the burgers since 2015 The place is filthy I think Jimmy needs to retire. 4 stars because the burgers are really good but I won't be going back because I'm grossed out now, I keep seeing the roach looking out at me from his hiding spot under the bread. read more

This place has been there a long time and they know how to make a great hamburger. You can get it with mayonnaise mustard ketchup and lettuce onions tomato and the bread is fresh! Served with crinkle fries and a small drink you can't beat it If you want to beat the chains and have a fresh, juicy burger. Yeah! read more

I eat here 4-5 times a month. The food is good yes! But terrible service and customer service. I just called to place a order on the way home and the 1 guy they have working said call back and hung up. Then I called again and he said he's not taking orders I said I'll be there in 5min I want to put an order in at least so I'm in line he said no and hung up again. What wonderful service to the regulars who pay your bills. They don't care about the customers hence why my bill total is now 30% more bc they raised prices and they still don't clean the place or hire more help. So what now? Basically if we all just stop going there they will close down then realize they should of did more after it's too late. read more

This is my new favorite hamburger restaurant. If you love a grilled hamburger on toasted Texas toast, then this is your spot. I've been here about 5 times now and it's consistently excellent. The French fries are crinkled cut and hot each time. Lastly, the prices are amazing! I will be a loyal customer for as long as they are open. read more

A solid burger for a great price. I've been eating at this Rhea's location for about fifteen years and just remembered that I should review it. After all, with all the uppity burger places now at Avalon, then people should know there are other alternatives that don't cost $20 for a burger without the fries and hand-made ketchup. Like everyone has said in their reviews; This place is no frills, no BS, and not decorated like a reclaimed lumber-lover's heaven. It's just a strip mall with **** parking and one helluva burger. I'll be back because I always end up back at Rhea's when I'm in Roswell. read more

News flash: this Rhea's location now takes credit cards. Gasp! I went to the ATM to grab some cash before making a stop at Rhea's after having to trek out to Roswell/Alpharetta to do a bit of shopping. Imagine my surprise when I see a sign on the cash register saying that they accept credit cards (except AMEX - sorry!). The guy working there started laughing at me when I took a picture of the sign. I've been hearing a lot about the various Rhea's locations over the past few weeks and wanted to check it out since I was in the area. My shopping companion was agreeable to partaking in a burger feast with me. We both ordered the Jimmy Rhea's special cheese burger. She got a single patty and added bacon along with a large order of fries. I got the double patty with regular fries. The burgers came out on toasted/buttered french bread goodness loaded as we ordered them. The cheeseburger was definitely worth the drive. It had great flavor and was high on the grease factor. Definitely not the healthiest thing but it hit the spot after braving the hordes of little girls at the American Girl Doll store. The fries are your average crinkle cut fries. Nothing to write home about there. But the burger is very good. And cheap. This place gets 5 stars because I was still commenting on the burger after I got home. read more

I wouldn't say that Rhea's has the best burgers that I've ever eaten, but they have the best burgers that I've had in memory. Srsly, it's nothing fancy--matter o' fact, you could call it spartan--but these burgers point and laugh at the burgers slung at highfalutin joints that charge twice as much. There is no comparison. I see that some folks ding Rhea's because the fries aren't "real" or whatever. Whatever, indeed. For frozen crinkle-cut fries, they're done just fine. I go to eat the burgers. I've only ever had chili cheese dogs (better than the V) and the Rhea's Special on Tejas Toast. I've wanted to try other items, but when you're hungry, you stick with what you know will fill the void. Fresh and crisp veggies (except for the tomatoes, which are sufficiently ripe and fresh, but not crispy), the bread is fresh, and everything that is supposed to be hot, is. The drink refill routine is strange, as the fountain drink machine is *right there*, but it seems that you need to wait for the staff to come around and refill it for you. The nice lady switched my cup for somebody else's last time because of the confusing manner in which the cups are collected and delivered. Outstanding burger value and simply outstanding burgers, period. When I am in Roswell, I always hanker for Rhea's. You should try it out, if you've never been. read more

Seriously good classic burger. The "special" doesn't change.... Nor should it!!! Good fresh veg with juicy beef patties and I love bacon on my burgers.... But I get upset when my bacon arrives soggy and greasy. Not here. Crunchy and delish! The AC is MIA so be ready for it but I'll say this, I didn't care or even notice the moment I got that first bite of my burger. You aren't gonna get any fancy toppings but you will leave with money still in your wallet and a full belly! read more

Ok so if you"ve followed or read my previous reviews...you feel my tastebuds on this place! I finally tried that Philly I wanted to snatch off the womans plate the last time I was there drooling...LOL Well, I got my own darn-it...Ohhhhh ...WAIT for it.............................................. ohh wait till you see my photo that TRULY will bring this Philly to light! This is hands down the best burger I've ever had. If you get the special burger (and you should) it's served on french bread, which is crispy and greasy all at the same time. The burgers are also greasy and delicious! The fries are also really good. The staff is friendly and helpful and you know you are not at a huge chain. I got my dinner to-go but forgot to ask for ketchup. It turns out I didn't have to since if you order fries you automatically get ketchup. It's amazing. There are a few Rhea's around, but I am lucky enough to live a half a block away from here. (it's a blessing and a curse) It have to make myself not eat here every night! If you see one, you should stop! (bring cash, most places don't take credit....however this one does!!) read more

We had take out last night. Burgers were delicious and juicy. The stores are owned by a Bangladeshi gentleman and we have been coming for a while Service is good. I wish the burgers had a bit more spice to it Fries are ho hum and I wouldn't order the fries again Burgers are definitely recommended and good portion size as well We will definitely be back as usual read more

I do DoorDash orders so I picked up an order from here one day. Upon entering the door, the amazing aroma of these burgers punched me in the face. I knew I had to try them out one day. I passed by this place a million times and FINALLY got a chance to try them and let me tell you, they did NOT disappoint. Food is made fresh when you order it. The burger was absolutely amazing and the fries were hot and crunchy just the way that I like them. I highly recommend and I will definitely be going back. read more

Great place to get a burger and hotdog for a great price. They only take cash, and make sure and have plenty of napkins. The burgers are juicy and messy, order the special with double meat, cheese and bacon and enjoy. We go for lunch at least once a month and everyone you tell about this dive burger spot loves it, except your Cardiologist. read more

We just moved to the area last Fall. Still discovering new places. Lazy Friday night...decided to check out a burger place my husband saw earlier this week. Checked it out on Yelp - bi-polar reviews for sure. Closing in 25 minutes...so we ordered two burgers to go and took them back home. Worker was all by himself manning the grill and register. Very pleasant and efficient. Restaurant was clean and spartan - hello 1960. So...how were the burgers? Meh. Thin patty. Could have used some salt and pepper while cooking them up for sure. The fries? Crinkle. Perfectly cooked...def needed salt. Not so sure we would return. The burger was ok. Not "hankering after and can't wait till I go back"...but ok. I found this place on Yelp because I was working in the area. I ordered a chill cheese slaw hot dog and the philly cheese steak combo (don't judge me, I was soooo hungry). The hot dog was best thing I got. If I were to return, that's what I'd order. The philly cheese steak sandwich lacked favor and it was super greasy. I know this is diner and diner food is normally a little greasy, but the sandwich was so greasy that the bread was soggy. So, i didn't even really eat the philly. It was pretty much a waste of money for me. The fries were blah and not hot. I don't think I'll be going back, but if you like super greasy diner food then you should try it out. read more

My wonderful wife and I have passed this little old strip mall dozens of times without stopping. So a Friday night urging for a good burger nearby led us to Yelp, which brought up Rheas 2. The reviews on Yelp had our mouths drooling. We expected a crowd based on reviews but much to our surprise there was just one couple there who were our new neighbors from California. It was their first time at Rheas too. Rheas is a one man operation. Jimmy cooks and serves. Simple menu made selecting our eats easy. Paper plates maintain the simplicity. My wife had the Diet plate - a bunless pair of cheeseburgers with lettuce and tomato on the side. I had the Jimmy's Special with double meat and onion rings. My double patty burger was served on a Texas toast bun sliced in half to make it easier to eat. The griddle cooked handmade beef patties were fresh and juicy. Good flavor and an all around great burger, just as the reviews said. The rings had a light batter coating, were thick and tasty. Rheas is nothing fancy. It's the proverbial hole-in-wall eatery with quality food at a fair price. read more

I have been eating here for years. There are many types of burgers, this one does a good job fulfilling the plain, tasty, greasy spoon type place. It tastes good, they cook the fries right, and the drinks are cold. The store is old and tired and just what you would expect for a place that serves these burgers. This is an incredibly delicious burger spot and quite possibly the best I have ever had. I got their special, double, cheese burger. The patty is fresh. The bread is reminiscent of buttered Texas toast instead of a traditional bun. I only give 4 stars because the fries weren't the best. Jimmy's special with double patties, extra cheese and the standard works, ketchup & mayo is still one of the best hamburgers in town. I had my first one 20+ years ago. It's a darn good, melt in your mouth burger. I even ate the leftover cold from the fridge - me who hates cold burgers - and it was delicious. They have added a Philly cheese steak to the menu too which is pretty darn good. It comes with cheese, peppers & onions. Add A1 steak sauce & mayo and you have a slammer. Ummmm ummmm good!! The simple crinkle-cut fries are still tasty too. I love a consistent restaurant. Good job Rhea's !! read more

If you are a huge health food nut do not come here!! These burgers are nice and greasy. And ultimately the best burgers in roswell. When you walk in the smell alone will have you hooked. One day I'll actually have pictures but it's soooo good I just wanna eat! Everything on the menu is just delicious. YOU HAVE TO TRY THESE BURGERS. I had the philly cheese steak with onion rings. That sandwich was as good as their burger but I felt meh about their rings. I want to try the fries next time. Their sweet tea was delicious as well and perfectly made! Parking is going to be tight as the parking lot is small and has other business that share spots. The Jimmy Special can't be beat. It's a good hamburger, better than fixed out of freezer. Meat is great, Bread is what is supposed to be. Anybody that wants to know what a hamburger should taste like, should go to Rhea's. Nice place to eat. Good food to eat. Nice selection on menu, all just good Food. My coworker picked up lunch from here for herself and I and the special burger w/o cheese was absolutely delicious. My only complaint was the fries. They lacked taste. Next time I'll pass on the fries and maybe try a different side, but I'll definitely be back. read more

Well first thing, appearance; small, store front shopping mall. When you walk in you see a little mom and pop style restaurant but DO NOT let that intimidate you, in my experience, those are the best places to grab a bite to eat. There are a few tables and a high top bar to sit at, an open grill behind the bar where you can see your order being cooked up fresh right in front of you, and a menu at every table so just sit on down where you'd like. The menu is short and sweet as to not be too confusing but still has enough options to suit most any hungry foodie walking in. On to the good stuff, THE FOOD. The menu is set up perfectly as #1 is a 'Jimmy Rhea's Special Burger' which is basically your standard hamburger and fixin's on french bread rather than a bun. After eating here I believe almost every burger should come on french bread. The buttered up, crispy bread with a slight hint of garlic pairs so well with the hamburger. Absolutely exquisite in my opinion. The fries are your standard Ore-Ida Crinkle Cuts but trust me, you're after the burger here. Finally on to price, you can't beat it! I got a double burger on French bread, a side of fries, and a drink for $8.80! A McDonald's greasy #4 (Double Quarter Pounder) meal costs more and still doesn't come on that delectable french bread sandwich bun. If and when I am in Roswell around lunch time again, I will MOST DEFINITELY be stopping in here for another meal. Maybe even two! 5 stars, I'm impressed. read more

There is a salsa bar with plenty of limes and salsas and fixings including incredible pickled carrots and jalapeños. My son raved about his Al pastor tacos which were street taco sized. Will definitely be adding El Indio to my list of OUTSTANDING Mexican restaurants. GET HERE!! I will be working my way through this menu frequently!

It's a beautiful restaurant inside meaning it's good for a date, a night out with friends or family, or a great place to celebrate for a prom or graduation. It's more upscale than a traditional restaurant however I loved it! I came here with my business coach since I won a competition and the prize was to have lunch at the place of my choice. She ordered the soup of the day, which was like this cheddar soup that came with these two sauces, which one of the sauces was a jalapeño based sauce, which was spicy, but not too spicy to wear it wasn't edible. She did like her soup and she also ordered the lobster and smoked Gouda ravioli for her entrée. She had no complaints considering she bagged the food up to go and wanted to finish it right there, but she couldn't. Lol. I ordered the twin seared chicken, which is actually half a chicken pan seared. My chicken was so delicious! It was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection to where it was fall off the bone. Just how I like it! The rice and the green beans paired well with it. My rice was cooked well, meaning it was not mushy or hard. And my green beans were a great consistency as well. My little one had a chicken tender salad since she loves cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, pretty much anything that comes in a salad that's not the lettuce. Lol. I must say I was impressed by the size of the salad because it was huge for a child. It would be great as a size salad for an adult. The chicken tenders were an amazing size, bigger than what most restaurants would give especially for a child's plate. I was highly impressed by the size of the portions for the children because the price is pretty standard for a kids meal entrée in comparison to other restaurants that give less. Our service was awesome! I wouldn't expect anything less considering the ambience of the restaurant. Our server was attentive, and he even bagged up both of our meals for us. This place is a 10 out of 10 and yes, I will be frequenting this restaurant a lot more in the future, even if it's by myself to sit at the bar.

Honestly everything about the place is pretty on point, it's an upscale restaraunt with alot of exposed wood, spacious, well thought out originally. The staff has always been corteous and knowledgeable, the menu always a great diversity (main courses, salads, starters - you name it, always slightly original and inspired) Personally though, it's more of a 'bring a date spot' eating in the dining room (cozy setting) and the bar is a dark area. During covid they removed the patio, so there is actually no outdoor seating anymore. I think that's why I most find myself not going there - is the dining and bar areas aren't super to my liking, I like bright and airy feeling venues. But they do have some live music and specials every day during the week that do make it appealing to be here different days otherwise which is brilliant marketing.

Their signature fried chicken remains unbeatable--crispy, juicy, and seasoned perfectly--but the menu overall shows the same level of care. The kitchen keeps things seasonal, and you can tell. Every dish feels thoughtful and well-executed. The dishes have all been fantastic on different visits, and the sides are just as impressive (the okra is still a standout). If there's a nightly special, order it--you won't regret it. The she-crab soup, hogs & quilts, and the meatballs are still must-order favorites. And for dessert, the bourbon ice cream continues to be one of the best endings to any meal--especially if you're already enjoying their great bourbon selection. Service here deserves its own shout-out. The bartenders and servers are always knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they're serving. It elevates the whole experience. Lately, we've been sitting on the patio more, and it's one of the best outdoor dining setups in the area--warm lighting, beautiful landscaping, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes every visit feel special. In short: Table & Main remains one of the top restaurants in Roswell. Whether you're a first-timer or a longtime regular, you'll walk away impressed every time. Highly recommend!
