I ordered a half rack of ribs and with it got two sides, cole slaw and baked beans. The ribs were tasty but the "half rack" was smaller than a dollar bill. The cole slaw was good. The baked beans were a bit harder than I like but again, tasty. I didn't think it was a good value. read more

My favorite though is the bbq sauces, sometimes I wish I had a big bottle to bring to other bbq restaurants! The food and presentation is incredible at this location. Generous serving sizes and reasonable pricing. The staff is friendly and cheerful. Even though it's been very busy at both visits recently, they were working to seat and serve everyone quickly & efficiently. Eating in gets 5 stars but their take out has failed on 2 separate occasions. First time they forgot to include a side. The manager offered a credit as I didn't want to drive back. Visit 2 we had ordered three dinners but only had 2 when we got home with it. This did result in a return visit. The manager was apologetic and corrected immediately. This place was alright. The Buffalo Shrimp appetizer was pretty good so we had high hopes for everything else. We got ribs and chicken, both lacked flavor and tasted the same. We have been here for a week from the UK and this food l would not feed to my dogs, took only 5 minutes from order to table and this started me worry as we had ordered a triple combi. When it arrived it was all cold as if just come out the fridge so spoke to the waitress and she took it back. When it arrived back at the table the bbq beef as tough as my shoes and no flavour to it at all. The bbq pulled pork was definitely not bbq and totally lacking any seasoning, the baby bbq ribs were the only thing we ate that we ordered. When we were asked twice if we wanted a box to take all the uneaten food away l told them l would not feed this to my dogs they just walked away then came back with the bill. Had I not read the previous review on this site about this restaurant, I probably would have passed the restaurant by due to it's bland appearance on the outside. I am very glad we chose to eat lunch at Rib City Grill. The restaurant had a few patrons when we arrived and we were quickly seated. Our waitress was all smiles, let us know about the drink specials on Wednesdays and dollar off of appetizers today. We were eager to get to our main meals and had other errands to do so we only ordered our sandwiches. My husband got the steak sandwich and I got the barbecue sandwich. Both of us were pleased and nothing was left on our plate. Best barbecue sandwich I've had in a while! Loved the prompt service, lots of attention and affordable prices on the menu. All pulled pork barbecue is measured against North Carolina and Georgia. All Ribs are compared to Memphis or Kansas City in my humble opinion. So if you're from Memphis or KC you are going to judge this place hard. I didn't see a lot of wood stacked up in the back so judging by the taste and texture of the ribs there is another process in place here. The ribs come off the bone too easy and the bite is soft. I must say the flavor was OK but it lacked that smokey grilled flavor. Michelle provided excellent service and the sweet tea was good. NC people will be looking for hush puppies and I didn't see any. Been to numerous Rib City joints around greater ft myers and have found the food consistent however the environment sure varies. Cape coral and estero restaurants are really nice, ft myers sort of but the one in LA is really not. What I expected from a chain The staff was great, food good, but really had a diner atmosphere, unlike the others. Not likely to take a guest there unless I tell them not to expect much atmosphere. One biggie was no salad bar and no brisket. Maybe they've changed the menu, but a bbq joint without brisket? Again. Do not, I repeat, Do not drive by Rib City Restaurant in Lehigh Acres without stopping by for a treat you will not soon forget! I moved to Lehigh Acres about 6 months ago and after driving past this restaurant many times, I finally decided to stop in and give it a try. Boy, was I ever glad I did. Right off the bat, my wife and I were greeted by our server, Katherine, who was both friendly, helpful and attentive for the entire duration of our stay. Katherine was indispensable in helping us decide upon our appetizers and our entre'. We had the fried okra with homemade spicy ranch dressing for an appetizer which made me believe I had entered Heaven before my time, Fantastic, and worth the visit all by itself. We followed up with our choice of three types of meat that included two sides. We selected the half rack of Baby Back Ribs and pulled pork and the chicken. All three were excellent with the Baby Backs and the pulled pork being our favorites. For the two sides, we ordered the homemade green beans and the baked potato. They were about as perfect as any fine chef can produce. So yummy! At the risk of exposing my gluttony, we finished up by having the Key Lime pie, after all, we were in Florida. It was also delicious! To conclude this review, let me say that Rib City met and exceeded our three criteria for returning to any restaurant. First, the service that Katherine provided made a lasting impression, favorable to the max. Second, the melt in your mouth flavors of all the food we ate were off the charts delicious. Third, the value we received for the amount we paid was extremely reasonable and very friendly to our limited budget. This was my first time I've been into a rib city before and I will definitely not be returning. Service was absolutely terrible. The greeter was extremely rude and couldn't care less we were even waiting to be seated. After she finally led us to our table and threw the menus from about 3 ft away onto the table we then proceeded to sit there for 35 MINUTES without one word of acknowledgment. We waited patiently for 35 minutes and the server didn't even get our drink order. Needless to say we decided to go elsewhere. read more
