    Pad See-Ew

Ordered takeout on a cold day hoping for some comforting Thai food, but unfortunately this was disappointing. I got the drunken noodles (pad see ew) and requested no tomatoes and added corn. The order came with tomatoes still in it, and the corn I paid extra for was missing entirely. That was frustrating right off the bat. The noodles arrived hot and were spicy as requested, which I appreciated. However, the chicken was extremely bland and honestly tasted old, which really took away from the dish. The toppings overall were not up to par with my standards, especially considering I paid extra for some of them and didn't receive what I ordered. I had higher expectations given the good reviews, but this experience fell short. I really wanted to like this place, but between the incorrect order and lackluster quality, it was a letdown.

Ambiance: 5/5 This is a small mom-n-pop shop vibe restaurant in Pilsen. There are a handful of tables and everything seemed clean. Service: 5/5 Everyone is friendly. If you are dining in, go ahead and find a table and when you're ready, go up to the cashier to order. They will bring the food over to your table when it is ready. Food: 4/5 The pad thai and tom yum soup was legit!! Very flavorful and yummy. The panang curry was a little watery and didn't have the most flavor, but for the price of everything and the quantity, we would definitely be back to try other menu items. Their drinks are pretty good too c:

It's been hard trying to find a go-to Thai spot since the one by my house closed down. However, I love picking up from Rice & Noodles since they have all my favorite dishes! My favorites are the chicken pad thai, crab rangoon, and the yellow curry. The chicken pad thai has a lot of flavor, and I like how sweet the noodles are. The crab rangoon is crunchy and amazing with the sweet and sour sauce. And finally, the yellow curry has such rich flavors with the soft potatoes, onions, and chicken. It pairs so nicely with white rice! The service is good. We usually do pick-up, and there's never any problems. The ambiance is very small inside, and it looks like such a lowkey spot from the outside. You definitely have to give it a chance and try it!

YUM! I love this place for both the food and the price. This is a favorite takeout spot of mine for the sake of quality, price, and quantity. Tonight I tried the chow mein (yum!!!) but regularly get the pad Thai and fried rice and have been satisfied every time. Love trying new things on the menu, I've never been disappointed.

Soo freaking good! Exceptional cucumber salad, chicken satay and homemade peanut sauce was spectacular. We also had a coconut curry and pad Thai with beef both very hearty, great portions, and super fresh. Can't wait to come back!

I love Rice & Noodles! I live far, so I usually order online, but I had the chance to visit in person, and it was definitely worth it. I always order the Thai Spicy Basil Noodles, Vegetable Spring Rolls or Potstickers, and the Honeydew Milk Tea. Students get a discount if they show their student ID. The restaurant has indoor seating, but it's small and usually busy when the high school nearby lets out.

Takeout Pad See Ew and Penang Curry

We ordered the Panang Curry and the Pad-See-Ew noodles for takeout and they were both delicious! We got the medium spicy and it was the perfect level of spice. Pretty good portion sizes. Need to try their fried rices and Thai iced tea next time!

Lovely Thai spot in Pilsen! I ordered the pad Thai and rainbow rolls. The pad Thai was reasonably priced ($10.75) and delicious. A decent sized portion and a lot of flavor. The rainbow rolls ($6.25) comes with peanut sauce. The rainbow rolls were good but not spectacular. The sauce container was small and the rolls were a bit sloppy. They are currently takeout only and I ordered via toast takeout. Overall the service was great and the pickup was seamless. It took about 20 minutes to receive my order.

Very bland. Does not taste authentic. Tom yum soup tastes like mushroom water. The Pad Thai was dark brown and bland.

Pad Thai is one of the best, make it Thai spicy. I've only done pick up but service has always been great.

Kari's Rating 9/10…read more TLDR: -Ube soft serve is to die for -Taiyaki seemed like a good idea, but the hot fish bread melted the soft serve so fast it turned into a giant mess -ice cream portion size is good enough for two people This is the second time I've been here and I came on a Thursday around 8 PM and then was it crowded. There are tons of people ordering at the counter as well as a line outside the door. They were really busy and I think they might've needed a few more workers. Orders were piling in from the kiosk as well as the counter. We ended up ordering the Ube taiyaki fish as well as an Ube ice cream soft serve in a cup. Man, I remember last time I came here. I got the Ube Matcha float and my friend got the Matcha milk tea with tapioca and those two desserts didn't seem like too much, however, this time when I came, these desserts are a lot. I kind of wish we'd ordered just one of them, but we live like we're rich #yolo. I think the Ube is the best Ubisoft server ever had in my life as it's not overly sweet, but is incredibly creamy and rich meaning they probably made it with whole milk. The taiyaki was warm when he first had gotten it, but the ice cream has started to melt inside and now it's become slightly gooey mess. This is our exact conversation while eating the taiyaki. " Fish bread, sweet ice cream. I don't know they made it hot. so sweet. Oh no it's exploding-that's why I got in a cup. It's melting I'm getting more ice cream next time. Yeah it's amazing. Oh no I'm so being recorded. I am."

Both came out in pretty quick time even though it was a busy Saturday evening. Loved the cream soufflé! It was something different that I wanted to try and it wasn't too sweet which was amazing. The soufflé was so fluffy and hot and fresh. The cream inside was sooo good! Everything was well balanced together and the float was also great. Only downside is that it's a really small place. So inside felt very cramped and crowded.

I wish I was able to travel with one of their cheesecakes but they require refrigeration. Anyhow the cheesecake itself was delicious super light, fluffy, and honestly felt like biting into a cloud. I had the salted egg but they had several flavor options that I would've loved to try if slices were available. The texture is what really stands out, and the flavor was unique and interesting in a good way. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it taste like, but it was sweet, but not too sweet They only sale but I consider a personal size but it's definitely enough to share with two people, maybe even three depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have. My only downside like others is the price. Paying around $19-$20 for a small cheesecake felt a bit steep, especially since they don't offer slices. I really wish they had smaller portions available so you could try different flavors without committing to a full cake prize. They package it very well and they also serve you a cute little fork set and a knife for cutting which I think is contributes to the price. The shop itself is very cute with chic décor and a lot of Asian-inspired artwork, which adds to the overall vibe. Customer service was friendly. When I visit Chicago again I'd definitely go back the texture and taste alone make it worth it but I do hope they consider offering smaller portions in the future.

One thing I personally did not like was that they require customers to pay first before the food comes out. For a sit-down restaurant, I prefer to eat first and pay after, especially when service is expected. The service was not very proactive during our visit. The food was okay, but nothing really stood out to me. For the price, I felt it was a little pricey compared to Taipei Cafe, and the overall experience did not feel worth it. Overall, the food was just alright, the service could be improved, and the pay-first system was not something I liked. I don't think I would come back.

The taiwanese style popcorn chicken and pork cutlet were super juicy and tender with nicely crisp breading. Finally, the broth of the Sichuan noodles was packing with flavor: sweet, tangy, spicy, umami - truly hit all the spots without being too numbing to your mouth, if thats one of your concerns Would definitely return to try the other menu items, especially their hot sizzling plates and their dessert/drink offerings
