First time here and 10/10 We live at the Riverstone community and was on the search for a new food place and being that RICE BOWL was five minutes away we gave it a try. Environment/ Ambiance: This Chinese food restaurant is definitely a Mom and Pop vibe place, the inside definitely showed some age, but overall it is clean. We went when it first opened so we were the only customer there. Food: We ordered spicy crispy chicken (9/10) and orange chicken with bacon fried rice (8.5/10). Whenever I order spicy chicken at other restaurants, it is usually never spicy, but this place actually had a bit of kick. I would definitely order again. The pricing is very decent and you get a good amount of food. Service: The service was quick and Lilly was super friendly. We informed her it was our first time there and she was very patient and ask if we had any questions. Lilly even gave us FREE fried bananas (9/10) and a strawberry smoothie drink with crystal boba (7.5/10). This was extremely nice and welcoming of them, definitely showed they care about their customers. The fried bananas were crispy and sweet and it came as 6 pieces, I would for sure order these next time. I recommend this place especially if you live near by don't want to drive far into Fresno!! We will certainly become regulars.

    Taro Milk Tea

Went in to try one of the milk teas. I got a taro milk tea with brown sugar boba. Not good. It was sour. I haven't tried the food yet but the tea was NOT good.

Ordered takeout and it took the average 25 minutes. The food was very good, good portions. I ordered the bacon fried rice and the bacon was a lot too crispy for my liking but it was still good. The shrimp teriyaki was very good. I also ordered the Kung Pao Chicken with pan fried noodles were delicious and crispy. Overall very tasty and fast, friendly service.

Driving back from Fresno and stubbled across Rice Bowl. Perfect locally owned restaurant in the Ranchos area. It had a nice homey feel and the staff there were great and explained each dish well. It's definitely a must try if your in the area

Great food and awesome flavors!!! The guy at the front was so kind and offered us small samples of items while we waited for our food. So on top of our orders for Kung pow and lemon grass chicken we got to try the sweet potato fries with a miso aoli and fried bananas. Yum!

We knew that it would be costly but can still be a surprise when the bill arrives, watch out for the drinks We only ordered what we had seen reviewed and listened to our servers recommendations. There are a few things we plan to go back and try though. Based on his recommendation we tried the scallop temaki and it was delicious but we still really want to try the scallop spoons. Everyone talked about the sushi so we tried the house Iza Sake roll, it was good but honestly didn't blow us away. So many reviews told us to splurge on the Wagu A-5 hot rock lettuce wraps. It was fun to have them cooked in front of us and the meat was buttery, I would say to save your money. Let them cook your fried rice in front of you for the ambiance and you get more for less money. It also has Wagu beef. We also tried the bone marrow and we liked it but I do believe it's an acquired taste. We had two mixed drinks the Hibiscus Shoga, very good, but a bit too sweet. Then the Kohahu Carmel Old Fashioned which was a recommendation and we love old fashions. This was good but way too sweet for us. I do recommend the Kurosawa Nigori. We plan to return to try the spoons and seafood risotto and maybe the lobster temaki. Also recommend going earlier than later. We had an 8pm reservation and the grill was cleaned at 9pm so it was a surprise to have the kitchen closed so early.

Great food, beautiful ambiance, and friendly service. Definitely a Fresno spot worth checking out if you love Thai food or are looking for somewhere new for dinner. I'll absolutely be back!

Rating doesn't change-- they're still amazing from my experience last year. Why it took a whole…read moreyear to come back? Idk. *shrugs* This time we got: Pad Kra Pao, Pad Se-Ew (beef), Yellow Curry (chicken), and Thai Style Papaya Salad for dinner. We each had a different favorite dish out of the three entrees... Pad Se-Ew was mine (noodle head), followed by the Pad Kra Pao (perfect flavor, not too strong on the basil, egg fried just right), then the curry last (I prefer green or red more). The salad was good, refreshing. No spice whatsoever, but we knew that (one of the girls can't handle as much spice). The winner of our dinner? The Thai Tea Flight! I love the option of flights anywhere I go. It gives you the chance to try all the flavors you're curious about without committing to one that you may or may not like. Man... these were amazing. If I had to rank the flavors-- it was a toss-up between the Original Thai Tea and the Ube but since this is the battle of the Thai Teas... the OG gets a slight edge. Both freaking amazing though (we ordered full sizes of these after). Obviously Thai Iced Coffee comes next but coffee should be it's own category. It wins on its own as coffee. The Green Thai Tea came in last for all 3 of us, I believe. It's good, just not as good as the other three... and it's definitely more fragrant? Idk the right word for it. Anyway, I'd make more stops here just for these drinks alone now that i know how good they are. Staff was amazing. Friendly. Attentive. Restaurant still very aesthetic. Their plating of the meals? A+. It was a very good dinner.

We ordered shrimp dumplings, pork and cabbage dumplings, spring rolls and spicy chicken. The spring rolls were small one one came burnt. No big deal. The chicken was tasty. The pork dumplings were good. I never got the shrimp dumplings. She brought the check and I told her we never got them and she asked if we got them and I had to motion to the table and tell her, no they never came. She took it off the bill. Overall I was pretty disappointed in the service more than anything. I really had high hopes for this place.

However, in my opinion, it's best to avoid coming during dinner time. We came a little before dinner, and within 15 minutes, the place was packed! We ended up waiting over 30 minutes for our food, and unfortunately, it didn't hit the same as the first and second times we visited. I'm guessing this was because they were trying to get food out as quickly as possible. :( I'd give them a 3/5 this time around. The rice combo we ordered was lacking a little bit of flavor, but adding some soy sauce helped balance it out. Beef Bulgogi Combo Plate (3/5): The beef was okay, but I felt it was too chewy. Orange Chicken Combo Plate (5/5): This was definitely my favorite! The flavor was on point, and I really enjoyed it. Super crispy! We also tried their Korean Grape Drink and Rice Punch. Both were pretty good and refreshing! Overall, even though this visit wasn't as good as my previous two experiences, I would still come back again.

The food that was supposed to be warm stayed warm and the cold rolls stayed cold. There were plenty of soy sauce packets, chop sticks, napkins, and fortune cookies provided too. Everything tasted great. The food was super fresh fresh, saucy, and flavorful. The rice was perfectly fluffy. Insanely delicious! When I ordered at around noon on a Saturday, it was super quiet and empty. I was literally the only person in there. It was rather dark in there with some subtle music playing. The staff were friendly and quick to check me out. I do appreciate that there is 15 minute pick-up parking directly in front of the door. Can't wait to go back!
