This is one of the best gems in Ossining, NY. I had the Pernil---OMG, so good! The service is very good! The ambiance is very good, too. Come meet Richie while you are here!

Went back a few weeks ago and can say the service is much better. Although there is still just one guy, he is working hard and I didn't have to change tables or wait too long. Just don't come here if you're in a rush. The Food is a little over salted. Chimmichurri was in a pink sauce style, was okay but salty. I prefer the green style. Overall decent Vibes! Sadly they didn't have the Trés leches cake in stock.

TOO GOOD. Jennifer was the best waitress! She was sweet, friendly, and personable. She recommended a secret menu item - the Dominican nachos !!!

Wow ! The food was fresh and staff were super friendly. I will definitely be coming back.

itchie's Kitchen in Ossining is *.. a highly recommended destination for exquisite Latin-infused cuisine. Not only is the food visually appealing, but it is also absolutely delicious. Staff is friendly and very attentive . Ritchie the owner/ chef came out and introduced himself and we have a great conversation with him . Restaurant is small but perfect and very clean . It's a must go to

My dad recommended this place as we are in town visiting from out of state. He raved about the food so I had high expectations. Between the friendly staff and the wonderful food, my expectations were exceeded. Hispanic restaurants have a way of cutting corners to keep up with demand. But Richie's brought the flavor with the velvety stewed beans. The churrasco was tender and delicious cooked to temp of choice. The pork chops were fried to a crisp and somehow still very juicy. The mofongo was served with plenty of that addicting garlicky sauce. I wish I had a second stomach so I could keep eating. We were welcomed with warm smiles and urgent service. The chef came out and spoke with us. The space was clean and straight forward. Run, don't walk to this place.

One of the Hudson Valley's newest restaurants Richie's Kitchen is wonderful! It's "nouvelle" Latin cuisine is innovative, clever and excellent! I had the pernil (roast pork) and it was perfectly spiced and cooked. Moist, but not greasy. The rice and beans were also well seasoned and nicely cooked. My partner has the shrimp and mofongo. I am not a fan of mofongo, but Richie's version is fantastic. Not dry and starchy like the mofongo I have had elsewhere, including the Dominican Republic. Flavorful and moist! We also had a special appetizer that was a deconstructed flank steak taco in a lime avocado gastrique. Fabulous and could have been a meal on its own. Our waitress Jeanette was wonderful and Richie, the charming owner and master chef, came out of the kitchen to greet the patrons. The ambiance is elegant and clean. Overall a great experience! We shall be going back soon!

In all honesty, I walked out. I ordered something and aside from there seeming to be no rush at all…read morein getting me my food the place looks filthy. There were several health code violations clearly apparent including having an large uncovered trash receptacle in a food prep area as well as food that was obviously out for more than six hours left uncovered (pizza). Service was VERY slow, but I learned to call ahead, which helped a bit. Then I noticed 2 young guys there, same story with the good food, slow service. As of the last few months, D'Italia the pizza place from down the street, has moved in and taken over. They have both signs over the door and on the menu. The food is always good, but sometimes I get a packed plate for my money, other times not, sometimes they put white and red sauce when I ask for it, other times they forget one or the other, usually different pricing for the same order. Today was a day they forgot the red sauce, thankfully I had some sriracha at home but it's not the same. The order came to just under $12 and the dish was PACKED, my last visit it was $15 and there was a lot of room in the container to fill. Parking lot was a complete mess, that's almost always a guarantee. The same guy who ran D'Italia and was fast and knowledgeable, is also running this place and seemingly like it's always his first day on the job, along with everyone else working there. I also don't know how accurate it is to say their food is 'halal', which to me doesn't matter but it may to someone who is strictly halal. The parking lot is still atrocious at least they paved it, and there's not even anywhere else close to park if you can't get in. So my advice here is to proceed with caution..if you catch them on a good day, you'll love it, otherwise, you might not want to return. PS, the phone number posted on Yelp and of you google them, is disconnected but the one on the menu in the pic I posted is working. PPS, I hear from an avid fried chicken eater that theirs is not good, nor was it before D'Italia took over. Unfortunately this is the only place around where you can get a Kennedy Fried Chicken-type meal.

We were heading up to Croton-on-Hudson for a show and none of the restaurant options were looking appealing. We wanted something with a view of the water since it was the first truly Spring weather day we'd had this season. I saw that the rating for this place wasn't spectacular, but loved the photos and decided to read recent ratings, and we decided, even if the food is "meh" at least we'll be outside by the water. The Boathouse did not disappoint. The host who seated us was friendly and enthusiastic. Our server was everything you want in a server: Friendly, Confident in making suggestions, Attentive without being pushy or annoying, and just an honestly great man who was so fun to chat with. We both just had mains: Husband had the seafood gumbo. Wow! So packed with flavor, and yes, the spice hit you on the back end, but SO yummy. Packed with seafood and sausage, rice that wasn't gummy, and I am sorry Tom Colicchio, the okra was delicious! The "slime" that we all fear had more of a velvety texture that was not off-putting at all, and the flavor was really unique and enjoyable. i had the Shrimp Luciano. Five jumbo shrimp without a hint of vein or shell, sautéed in an egg batter that crisped at the edges. The sauce...omg....so flavorful. I find so often that chefs add too much of spice and herb but not here. It was well balanced and so yummy. If I wasn't in public, I would have licked the plate clean! Oh, and it came with green beans, one of my least favorite vegetables because again, I find so many just over cook and over season. This were lightly sautéed so they had a fresh from the garden taste and a perfect snap to them. Garlic mashed potatoes...made with red bliss...had a sweet element, not sugary, but there was a flavor were just couldn't identify....maybe a hit a nutmeg? Regardless, they were heavenly. Then we made the decision to share a slice of the crème brûlée cheesecake. We didn't have room, but our "neighbors" at the next table said we had to try it...so we did. WOW! This was not your typical heavy overly sweet cheesecake. It was light, had specks of vanilla, a very thin lovely crust and the taste....sooooooo good. The wine by the glass choices were great: $12 for a wonderful glass of Albariño?? It was so crips and light and perfect with my meal. Husband had an IPA...we think it was called Maine Lunch and it was also delightful. I will note: the tables are NOT on the dock. They are a ways back but the water view surrounds you. I saw some tables set up right by the dock edge near the water and apparently they have a bar and music there once it gets warm. If it wasn't a 2 hour in traffic drive, this would be our new regular haunt. For now, we will have to make excuses to go up this way!

Brisket was also tender and juicy The sausage was spicy but flavorful Crab cakes was decent, it wasn't overly seasoned so you won't have to worry about that. But I enjoyed them, Corn bread was meh in my opinion, it could of been more moist, it wasn't dry but it felt like it was close to being dry especially the way it crumbled, but it was good just not great The lobster and shrimp pasta was a thin spaghetti: it wasn't bad but it was decent The Mac and cheese was cheesey a high 9/10 The cake was delicious and moist, ice cream was regular, enjoyed the graham cracker crumbs, and marshmallows as it complimented the flavors
