I brought my car to the dealership a couple weeks ago to get its usual service. They told me that my tires were worn and should get them replaced. I was keen on inspecting the tires myself as dealerships tend to err on the side of caution with these type of things. I checked, they were perfectly fine. Today I noticed that one of my tire was slowly losing air. I was starting to regret not getting them changed at the dealership. I quickly looked up "best tire shops" on Yelp and made my way to Rich's Tire. When I got there, I told the auto tech working that I needed to get my tires replaced. I was mentally preparing myself to spend hundreds. The technician assessed my tires and told me that I didn't need a new tire since the tires I had were still pretty good and that he recommended to patch the inside of the tire losing air instead. I asked him how much and he said 30 dollars! 30 dollars!! That auto tech could have easily taken advantage of the situation and could have easily convinced me that I needed new tires! He didn't do that. He gave his honest opinion and did the job efficiently. I was out of the shop in 20 mins. I don't usually write reviews but this level of honesty needs to be acknowledged. He could have lined his pockets with 100s of dollars but chose not to do so because it wasn't what I needed at the time. That's what I call exceptional service. Thanks Rich's Tire. These guys are a SCAM!! Left their shop with two different tire sizes! Whoever runs this shop pretty much told me "take these or I put back on your flat tires and you figure it out!" *Back story* I called in advance for two rear used tires! Rich said he had them IN STOCK. I arrive and suddenly Rich DOES NOT have the tires in stock!!! He suggested a different size, I agreed to them! Came in on a Sunday morning @8:30am because I found a nail in one of my tires. Pulled into the driveway and someone came out to assist me. Within 2 minutes, he pulled out the nail and thankfully, there was no leak. In and out within a few minutes and best of all no charge! But I waited no more than 10min and then remove the puncture(drill bit), patched it and I was on my way 15min later. Paid $225 to change my break pads. They used OLD WORN OUT break pads! As I left the parking lot and reached the first intersection I heard the annoying squealing that I was promised would be fixed. I went back to see what happened, and he said "it wasn't his fault, he did his job, it was the break pads that came bad" and refused to change them because he had another appointment. He refused to reschedule with me and now I'm down $225. DO NOT GO HERE if you're young, HE WILL TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU! Worse service I've ever had. Had a huge screw in my tire and saw a couple cars being worked on when I drove in so I thought I'd be here for a little while. I was very wrong! The whole thing took less than 5 minutes and only 2 minutes just to remove the screw and repair/put air in my tire. I know nothing about cars or the maintenance of them, so who knows if my review means anything. But, my tire pressure light came on yesterday on my way to work and after doing a quick Google search (about what the light was, and where/how to fix it), I stopped by Rich's after work since they are open until 7 (yay). It took about 5 minutes to be in and out of there, no joke. He filled up the tires and I was on my way. I thought it was a little weird that he didn't check the tires first for nails or holes, but maybe that's my inexperience (maybe the light coming on means it can't be a nail or hole? who knows.). Anyway, if my light comes on again, this will be where I go again to get a quick and easy fix. Oh, and it was free too! (yay again) UPDATE -- So 2 days later my tire pressure light comes on again. I bring in to America's Tire instead and they actually inspect the tires and tell me the back tire is lower than the others, so they go to work to find what it is. Ends up being a screw and they patch it up, all for free. The difference in service between these two places is crazy -- and both for free! Sorry, I won't be back, nor would I recommend this place! read more

I bought a set of 4 Yokahama tires from them 2 years ago. Everything was O. K. for the first 12,000 miles the car performed fine. Then I went to have the tires rotated and rebalanced which I paid $30 for. After the balancing the steering vibrated on the highway, so I brought the car back for repbalancing 2 more times and the rebalancing was done each time by a different individual, and the steering continued to vibrate. I brought the car back a 4th time and they told me that maybe it is the allignment and they didn't do allignments. I took the vehicle to my regular independent mechanic and he told me that this model vehicle has very sensative steering and the balancing must be pretty much on or it will vibrate. He rebalanced the tires and the vehicle performs perfectly, no steering vibration. This is where Rich's Tire Service needs to improve. read more

I've had two slow leaks repaired here with perfect results. The first was one the dealer couldn't repair. The dealer told me I would need to find a tire store with high tech equipment to repair it. The "high tech" equipment these guys have is an old half-barrel of soapy water, and a ton of experience repairing tires. They know their stuff! Cheap, fast, and accurate. Holy moly. Hands down, this is the fastest and cheapest tire service I have ever used. When I have a busted tire, I do not want to sit in your crappy lobby. I do not want to drink your foul coffee. Mostly, I do not want to wait around for an hour or more. I want to get the hell out of there with a fixed tire. Rich's was able to pop my tire off, patch it (nail hole), and pop it back on in less than five minutes. This makes me wonder what the hell is wrong with all of those chains that take FOREVER to get it done. I paid $15, which is about half of what I normally pay. It's no-frills, but damn it's fast! About two years ago, my car had a low tire pressure signal, and I drove it to the 4S shop where I purchased the car. They inspected it for free, but said there was a nail in one of the tires and I needed a new tire, and the total cost would be about $400. I declined the service, yelped around, read the great review about Rich's Tire Service, and drove my car there. They mended it in less than 10 minutes, and charged me $15. WOW. And this morning, when I saw another low tire pressure signal, I drove it to Rich's directly. I thought I might got another nail, or the mend they put there two years ago finally wore out. They inspected the tires, no nail or hole, just needed to inflate all four tires. All done in less than 2 minutes. I asked if I needed new tires, as my car has a 20K+ mileage. They told me my tires are still in good condition and can last probably another 20K, but I need to have them checked every month for the pressure. They then told me the service today was free, and the monthly check will also be free. I could hardly believe it. Of course, I will tip them next time I am there for my monthly check, as I cannot just shamelessly take advantage of their generosity. Got the job done. Came back from Tahoe with a slow leak. Apparently we rolled over a screw on the way back. I expected them to patch the hole, but they plugged it instead. I thinking patching is better on the tires, but I won't complain as long as it works. Customer service could use some work; the guy pretty much started working the moment I pulled up without telling me what he was gonna do. Good people, fast, good price. Came here to get a quote for 4 new tires on my 2000 mustang. They were closing but the woman and the guy from the shop gave me a rough price per tire wich was lower than what I found online. I called the day after and got a verbal quote and they told me that they were not busy and could do it right now. I went to the shop and 30 minutes later I was out! Chatted a bit with the people over there, all very nice. As I was waiting for my new tires 2 people showed up with flat and they got a replacement/fix real fast (~5-10 minutes). Came by to get two tires mounted in balanced. Met the shop owner who is a great guy. I drove the car Reno and noticed that it was acting strangely. I took it to shop up there to have the same two wheels rebalanced. The tech found that one wheel was unbalanced, maybe a weight fell off? The other wheel still had the old old weights from before and the new weights were just stacked on top. The tech from Rich's shop didn't even bother to take off the old weights! In summary: -2 stars for your tech's shoddy workmanship. All he had to do was knock off the old wheel weights first instead of stacking new ones on. -1 star for an unbalanced wheel or missing wheel weight. +2 stars for having a nice owner and good hours. You should keep an eye on your tech and make sure they're not cutting corners. read more

I went to this business based on the Yelp reviews. As noted elsewhere, it's not much to look at, and would have been easily passed over if not for the positive comments online. In short, all of those comments were warranted. The price was cheap and service was quick and helpful, even to the point of helping me with the onerous task of replacing the spare tire cover on my RAV4.
