We came for one reason as I had checked out the menu before , the Cuban Sandwich . Let me tell you , you sure got this one right . As someone who lived in South Florida and missing a Cuban Sandwich, so far away from Florida. You got it , we will be back ! Besides the food the restaurant was full and welcoming , the host , the busser , the waitress (to bad I forgot her name) , well done , everyone looked happy. Great lunch , portion big enough to have the other half of our sandwich for tomorrow's lunch . Next time we may try something else , but probably will go for the Cuban again . read more

What a fun diner to eat across the street from Margaritaville Resorts. The food portions were plentiful and delicious. We had the Ahi Tuna Salad and the Chicken Honey Wrap and the salad was enough for 2 portions. The service we got from Jay was great! He's so friendly with fun stories and had great suggestions for the food and cocktails. I felt like a fruit quencher and got a watermelon vodka drink. I was a little disappointed that it didn't taste like watermelon at all, although it was tasty in itself. The ambiance was family friendly with a lot of fun & interesting wall art. Update: went back for another breakfast meal, and I'm upgrading to 5 stars - mainly because the service was simply exceptional. We were looking for a place that opened at 7 am and we found Rick's. The door was actually open before 7. We were greeted right away and seated. The service was quick and the food was delicious. The breakfast menu had a lot to choose from. They had music playing and there were pictures on the walls from back in the day of Dean Martin. I would highly recommend this place. read more

When we are in town we come here for Happy Hour! Walking distance from our condo. We like the service and Happy Hour menu. My husband ordered the burger and loved it. We got breakfast coupons from our hotel in at Palm Springs so we got breakfast here three days in a row. The staff was so friendly. They had our coffee order (one decaf and one caff) memorized by the second day and they kept the cups full. The food was fast and hot and delicious. This was not their first rodeo and it shows. Slightly, on the out dated side-depending on your perspective of what's old and what's new -Rick's restaurant reminds me a little on a the old school type of diner. It's clean, small, short ceilings, windows at each booth, comfy and not so modern technology looking. I felt welcomed and warmth as I walked into the lobby. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and were seated at a booth (with a window), as I requested. Our server, Claudia, had greeted us. Gave us time to look at the menu. I just had to get off the mind set that we weren't at Denny's with the 55+ senior meal deals. As I skimmed through the menu, I noticed a variety of prices and food selection. A good thing. Just could not figure out if it was breakfast or lunch that I craving. And, so it was, the "Petite" breakfast. To add, a Bloody Mary, for starters. My partner and I both ordered the same dish. There was nothing to highlight about our breakfast plate, it was basic. However, it good and perfect enough for what we wanted to eat that morning. Everything was consumed but the Bloody Mary. Let's put that on pause for now. I would like to mention that the wheat bread I had was soft, plump and delicious. Not sure why it was delicious, it was just bread. Ok, now for the Bloody Mary. It looked good but after adding several spikes of Tabasco sauce to the drink, the taste became unbearable. What my partner failed to do was taste the drink prior to adding Tabasco. Amateur move, I say. She then added ice and took the drink to go hoping that the ice would dilute the hot and spicy taste. The drink was gone, meaning disposed in the trash. No bueno. It's too bad because I know it was definitely a cocktail she looked forward to drinking. Our server was told but we didn't expect a replacement. Our server, Claudia, was above and beyond. She was friendly, helpful, personable, checked in with us multiple times and was always smiles. I felt good energy and positivity from her. A spanteous trip into Palm Springs for the weekend and our first stop, Rick's Restaurant. We have eaten at Rick before (when they were located next to Days Inn) we were surprised when we found out they had moved (but only 2 blocks down). I had the avocado omelet which was great! Yes, it's simple but so good. It was served hot, fresh, filled with cheese and topped with a generous portion of avocado. My wife had the hash and eggs. Let me just say, she is picky as heck about her hash. We've been to places that served us canned hash but not here, it was GOOD! She said it tastes homemade, the flavor was on point and she really wanted to go back the next day but we left early in the morning to beat traffic. The service, OUTSTANDING thanks to Marie H. I don't usually leave reviews unless it's a very bad experience or a very good one. This will be a good one , the food was really good, the desserts are even better! We shared the banana cream and the bread pudding. Both were very tasty and not overly sweet. We hadn't planned on finishing them but we couldn't help it. I ate at this great restaurant with good food since I moved here 2003 and their prices were always reasonable, serving good food. Unfortuantely since 2023, I believe, out of greed, (and the strain of the pandemic on restaurants losing money), the restaurant raised their prices enormously They do cater to the Gay community who have a lot of desposible income here and are stupid enough to pay these prices out of political correctness. This year they raised their prices even more; outpricing the average worker who comes here for breakfast and lunch. Last week, I ordered bacon/eggs/home fries and a fruit cup/coffee which cost with tip close to $40.00!! The fruit cup alone was $8. I was foolish enough not to check the pricing on the menu because I knew what I wanted ( my usual over the years.)
