Pizza was served luke warm, didn't taste anything special, and service felt like I was being a bother.

I was excited to get some wings and fry's! However they were some of the worse wings I've ever had. They bread the wings fry them then place the French fry's underneath the wings with a ton of grease which they call butter! If they use that much butter it would be a whole stick and it doesn't taste like butter but grease! I have posted pictures of the greasy wings and french fry's! I showed the manager on duty and told them I was not happy but, I got that's how we do them answer! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Visiting Chicago for the week and decided to get my first deep dish Chicago style. Ordered fries and wings as well. The fries were soaked and sloppy. The wings had several hairs and a spongy consistency. One pizza was ok but the other one was also soaked and unbeatable. A definite must if you're ever in the Bridgeport area. Also stop by here before or after a White Sox game to enjoy some good eats. Friday July, 27th 2012 Re: 26th Street Riconenes. So disappointed with their phone/online customer service. Currently, I placed an online order at 9:19PM . I Received my email confirmation that my order will be process and should arrived at my home at 10:30 PM. well that never happen...... So at 10:55PM I called to find out the status of my order and the girl was clueless of my order. I was put on hold several times. Only to be passed around to the next clueless person including their Front Manager. Finally the "Manager of delevery" came back with "Oh the computer just printed the request, It says here that you placed the order at 10:55PM" -Seriously lady? The minute I called it just so happends to print? Frankly, all I wanted was my food and if they came accross a problem, a courtesy phone call could have helped. Instead they said we cannot offer you anything except a $5 discount on your next purchase. I'm sorry but good customer service if taking care of the customer now not later, especially if your going to make me wait another hour for my order! But instead she replied with "there is nothing I can do because you paid with a credit card".... Well guess what lady. Cancel my order and ring it up again. She continue with "there is nothing I can do." Well I do. CANCEL MY ORDER!!!! Sadly, its not the first time I have giving this place a try. Whether its a phone order or an online order. This was a great alternative to the more well known pizza places on the Near North side. Parking was not an issue, we got a table immediately, and the food was great. An additional bonus, prices were reasonable. The breaded steak sandwich was excellent, and was enormous. This could feed two. We had a thin crust sausage pizza which had the best sausage, perfect spice level. We also had a deep dish pizza which had a very good crust. Not too thick like some other deep dish pizzas. Please note that I cannot provide an review on the food since my order was taken way too long. I realize that I was there on a Friday night, however when I ordered the pizza, they girl told me it would take 15-20 minutes. Which was fine with me. I paid and I waited, and waited and waited. Finally, 40 minutes later I asked how much longer and they said, a few more minutes and 10 minutes went by. At that point, my pizza was still not done so I asked for a refund. I love Ricobene's! It's one of the few fast food restaurants in Chicago that has managed to master multiple menu offerings taste wives. From the pizza to the pasta to my favorite their wings and fries, everything is delicious and served and healthy portions. I've been coming here since I was a kid, it's a shame how much this establishment has deteriorated in service and quality of food. Also the restaurant is always dirty, I'm constantly stepping over garbage and wiping off my own table every single time! It's not for lack of employees, the area where they ring you up is always crowded, someone should be constantly sweeping and cleaning tables. As for customer service, I can't remember a time when I was greeted with at least a smile, seems like no one likes working there, terrible attitude and constant gossiping. This would have never been allowed back in the day when the owners were always around and almost everyone that used to work there made you feel welcomed. Two stars because the staff is rude and slow. I can honestly say that I love this place. The pizza is always good. I've never had any bad food here. So up till today I've always loved Rico's since a kids always good memories. I order today for my family I ordered a few sandwiches and 2 orders of wings Buffalo and bbq. I was really looking forward the the bbq wing because I've had them before and they were great. Well when I picked up drove back home started unpacking food I get the the bbq and when I say they had so much bbq sauce it's was like they accidentally poured the whole bottle on there... RUDE!!! Worst service ever!!! Every time I go there my order is ALWAYS messed up!!! I don't live close 4400 north they are 2600 south..so it's a treat when I do go there. I was told that if I wanted the best steak sandwich in the city, I needed to go here. I was not disappointed at all. The portion was perfect, and the sandwich smell and flavors brought back so many great memories of my childhood. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating, the rest rooms and eating area were clean too. If you are on the fence, don't hesitate to go at all and if they have arancini balls for the day, get an order!
