I have been in the market for either a TTR110e or a CRF110F as my kids has outgrown his 50cc bike. Price is always a determining factor that can sway your decision, after reviewing the two models I thought I would prefer the CRF110F. I always buy my toys with cash or check, thats just my personal preference and its easiest for me to justify that way and I dont have to pay any interest. I've searched on craigslist, cycletrader, local & regional company sites in order to find the deal which I would ultimately pay cash for. I was very excited approx 5 weeks ago when I found Woods Fun Center's 2012 TTr110e on cycletrader for $1599. I emailed through cycletrader and asked if you still had the bike and if so I would be over to purchase it. I didnt hear back via email so I called and spoke with Chris Herod. He was pleasant and helpful, asked me to provide the stock number for him which I did so that he could check with his inventory manager and call me back. He was very prompt and called me back in about 10 minutes. I was then told that the last two 2012 TTR110e bikes were just sold last week. I was disappointed that missed out on that deal. The following week I walked into the store just to check out the store and the inventory, and give another look at the two models. I met Chris, he was again very helpful and polite and tried to negotiate a price for me on a 2013 model of either the TTR or the CRF. Both were too expensive for me. At this time I mentioned to him that cycletrader still had the 2012 listed for $1599 and I was told that these bikes that sold would be removed from cycletrader within a couple days. I was very excited again two week ago when I logged onto cycletrader as Im still looking for a bike to purchase for my son. Woods Fun Center has another 2012 TTR110e listed for $1599 and the site shows specifically that this was updated today (Apr-12-2013). I called Chris Herod, told him I was excited to see they had another 2012 TTR110e model come available as cycletrader says this is available and updated with todays date of Apr-12-2013. Chris tells me the truth that this is just a way to get folks into the store. I was really disappointed. I also offered to buy the 2013 CRF110F for $1850 cash, which would have been a better deal for them than the TTR110 based off of MSRP's. Chris was again very polite and said he would discuss with the sales manager and call me back. He was again very prompt and called me back in approx 10min. I was told the lowest was $2250 out the door. I was disappointed again because $1850 is all I have to spend on a bike but I felt like I left getting duped or tricked again by the cycletrader ad. I also run a small business where I am ultimately in charge of all sales, marketing and management. I understand how customer service and loyalty is ultimately the most important as it creates a referral process and/or repeat business that can be more lucrative than most advertising or sales calls. There is a great difference between a loss leader and false advertising. A loss leader is a product sold at a low price, typically below its market cost to encourage other sales of higher priced and more profitable items. This is also considered a sales promotion and/or a marketing item. The loss leaders are typically hidden or located inconvenient areas of a store so that the consumer has to talk through the entire store (of higher priced items) in order to find it. I bought an SUV from a dealership just a couple years ago that was a lost leader. Dealerships typically offer one vehicle below cost and they must disclose all the vehicle info including VIN or stock number. If the lost leader sells before the customer can purchase it then the salesman tries to upsell the customer. I get it, I understand this. Its a good promotion and marketing practice. However, this is not what your company is doing. You guys dont have a loss leader product to sell, you are admittedly falsifying your product availability. Thats just not cool. There are several Texas Occupations Code Sections that describes false, misleading or deceptive advertising. The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) also has regulatory power to investigate and cease misleading and deceptive claims. Texas also has the Deceptive Trade Policies Act (DTPA) which gives consumers the power to fight this type of business practice. I dont think what WFC does is fair. I'd hope that the next time they offer a screaming deal that there really is an actual product associated. I filled out a customer survey. Told them what happened. Sent them a screen shot of the bike for $1599 updated on April 12th and they didnt even bother contacting me to discuss or explain or apologize. I wasted lots of time with these folks. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I purchased a used Polaris Ranger and took it in for normal maintenance and a buyers check. During this, they are supposed to completely go through and find everything that is wrong with the machine. This is exactly what I was looking for and they did a very good job of it. BUT... I took the machine in on Saturday evening, and let them know that I wanted to pick it up again on Friday evening. The expectation was that I wanted them to do the work that week. 1. I never received a call from them. I called on Wednesday afternoon to find out what was going on. The service representative told me he would talk to his mechanic and get back to me either that evening or the next day. 2. By Thursday, the service rep had not called back, so I called him back at 1:30pm. He wasn't in, so I left a message asking him to call me. He didn't call me back. 3. I called him back again that afternoon. His mechanic had been over the machine and had generated a complete listing of everythin that was wrong and what it would take to fix it. Instead of describing the big ticket items as "ball joints, axles, boots and differential seal" that needed replacement, he explained that it was too difficult to describe this without having me look at the work order, so he agreed to email me a copy. 4. I waited another hour. I shouldn't even have waited that long. He didn't email me again until Friday at Noon, and then it didn't even have the work order attached. I had to call him again, luckily he was there. I waited while he figured out how to attach the work order to the email. 5. When we were finally able to look at it together, It was obvious that he hadn't really read the work order, because he didn't know what the major tasks that the mechanic was recommending. I had to ferret them out of the work order and ask him questions about what some of the line items were for. 6. Finally, when I was ready to commit to the big ticket items, he told me that they would have to order the parts and that it would be 4 business days to ship it. All-in all, I was very disappointed with the way I was treated. The entire work order had me dropping $4,000 for repairs, but they didn't even notify me when they said they would. The critical repairs that I was ready to authorize were $1,100, which I was ready to pay, but because they couldn't be bothered to manage their relationship with me, I will never do any more business with them. Just recently purchased a Sea-Doo from Woods. Had a great experience all around. It started off with sales. My salesman Chad was helpful from day 1 and still continues to check on me. They aren't pushy at all, or weren't with me at least. At first I was looking at a performance model for the family and just recreational use but Chad quickly educated me on which machine best fit my needs and helped save me money by doing it. I worked with Garret in parts and accessories. Very knowledgeable young man. I only left with a couple life vests and a cover but for future reference if I need anything I'll be contacting him. I've only had my first service so far but it'd been a pleasant experience. The staff back there could use a touch up but the service was done quick and ahead of schedule. We'll see how they turn out down the road. read more

Absolutely the worst used bike dealer in Austin. I bought a 2006 ninja zx6r and decided to sell it 3 years later back to them. I dropped it off for an appraisal and never heard back. After 2 months of consistent calling and checking up no one followed up. I finally talked with someone and they said after 3 months my bikes condition deteriorated in their custody and won't buy it back... Essentially their shop is good at destroying bikes not repairing them. I'll advise anyone that I come across to avoid them like any plague. I'd replace that required one star rating with my middle finger if I could. read more

I waited several weeks before I posted this I was hoping for resolve. However that did not happen me and my wife purchased a 2010 Polaris Ranger for Woods New. I had the Ranger and it was great for hunting and joy riding however not for racing. I went to Woods and spoke to the sales dept Brian. I decided to buy a new Razor after some back and forth we agreed on a deal. Upon purchasing I asked Beckey the sales person handling the deal since Brian was on vacation for a sticker or a banner to hang in my garage well that never went anywhere. We ordered the frt and back bumper guards they told me a few days ( not weeks ) I took the new razor home loved it. picked up all remaining parts on order except the rear guard I was informed it was on back order and no one mentioned a thing upon ordering during the deal. I had spent money on entry fee (300.00) for a race in Arizona. Lost that money because I was not going to race without the protection of the guard I reached out to Polaris corp they gave me a 125.00 coupon and woods turned that down as well. These people are friends of my family my nephew worked there and they all knew this. When I looked for Polaris corp I found that other dealers were giving helmets and items with the purchase of a Polaris except Woods The GM for woods called me and informed me that if they give you a helmet or something they have ripped your head off so if someone gives you a helmet better watch out I guess. He also informed me that I should have reached out to him with my except he was away on his honeymoon at the time and I reached out to all involved.Before I purchased the razor these folks were as nice as can be now I walk in they avoid me like the plague. I will keep on screaming until something gets done to anyone that will listen. I been in Austin for 30 years I owned A-1 Radiator Service on congress with my folks and don't normally bash people but this is unacceptable These guys treat you like your dirt after the sale And yes they gave me a fair deal so They say ???? I bought a used motorcycle from these guys about a month ago. I still have no keys because they lost them! They ordered me a new key through Harley Davidson and because I live 5 hrs. Away I can't get a new key to me alought the Harley dealership in Austin now has it. I'm tired of explaining my situation with both dealerships putting blame on the other. I will never do business with them again. Woods is just too busy once the sale is made. Never again! Do yourself a favor go somewhere else. read more

I just moved from Northern California, and Woods being the Honda certified dealership in Austin, I was referred to them from Honda for recalls on my ATV. I took the ATV in for the service, they said after the recall was fixed they would run a service on the ATV to check for any other problems. I told them no, just do the recall, that is all i want done. they did the service without my permission, then proceeded to charge me for it when i went to pick up the ATV!!?! now mind you, Woods had my ATV for almost 2 weeks, never received a call that the parts came in, that they would be doing the computer service check, or that it was even ready for pick up. I called and they said it had been ready for a few days, gee thanks for the heads up. Very poor customer service on the phone, no communication from service department, and the salesmen on the floor are not very attentive. When i was actually shopping for something, I couldn't find one single person to help. The cashier was the only person that had personality, but due to lack of training she was not informative or helpful with anything other than the charges i was having to pay. read more

I am getting ready to take my Gl1500se on a long trip , and my rear was iffy amd decided I should replace my rear tire. It is Monday and the only shop open is Woods. I opened a web page to see if their web would show pricing, but no luck. but a chat window popped up asking if I need help, so I said sure. The chat session was useless, told them tire size I wanted, the wanted all the stats on what bike I was putting it on including my VIN. then told that someone would get back to me. Which 24 hours and no contact. I finally called spoke with Tiffany in parts after the phone bounced me around few rounds. She quoted me some Outrageous price on a tire I told her that I could purchase a better tire for less, she then offered to price match. I told her I would be there in 1 and 1/2 hours to purchase it. I had pulled my rear wheel and uncounted the old tire. I was greeted instantly but the sales person trying to assist me. I told him that I was just there to purchase a tire. I did ask if he knew how much they charged for mounting, he replied Free if I buy the tire there, So I grabbed the wheel and in I went in. Went to the parts counter with salesman in tow , waited on Tiffany to get off phone. Had to tell her all over again what I needed, and she finally remembered talking to me. I said the salesman said that mounting was free when purchasing the tire there she went and pulled the tire and walked me back to service department. The service adviser Cole took my information and my new tire and wheel said that they would get someone right on it. 2 1/2 hours later I asked someone if it was ready, she went back to check on it and said that they were bringing it up. 'IT' was the paper work, not the wheel. I go to the cashier to pay and she says $45 dollars, I told her that was not correct. She said I needed to go back to service to get it corrected. I walked back to service counter, told Cole that it was not correct and told him that I was told about free mounting if I purchased the tire there. He then informed me that free mounting was only if I brought the complete bike in. I said thanks for mentioning that, and said that I need to be charged for the Tire that I purchased. He said I needed to go to parts. I am trying to be honest and pay them for the tire. But I am getting ran around, wasting yet more of my time. I standing at parts counter yet again waiting on someone to assist me. The Service Advisor tracks me down and sales that he will charge the salesman for the mounting. I told him that was not right but I do not think that I should have to pay $45 for having a tire put on a wheel. finally Tiffany come out and asks if everything is ok. I ad to walk through the problem again and tell her that I was not charged for the tire, again trying to be honest. She said that the ticket was on the tire when we went back to service. But she would redo it. (made me feel like she was not happy about redoing the ticket.. 3 hours in the store trying to get a tire. I had other place to go and could have done some of those if they told me that it was going to take 3 hours. read more

Let me preface by saying that I got my first loan with a co-signed note on a bike from Woods Honda in 1982. I bought another new bike from them in the 1990's and most recently a new GSXR in 2013. On a whim, my wife and I went in today prepared to purchase a new Grom. No financing needed.. just write a check and leave with our new toy. I had called earlier in the day and was told they had one left. So, we meet the salesman there and we see the bike immediately by the front door. Let me say this..this review is in no way meant to criticize our salesman. He seemed pleasant and attentive. So, after going over a few of the features, I asked to start it. He told me to and as soon as I turned the key, I saw the bike had 560 miles on it. When asked, he told me it was not new. They had taken it back and the previous owner did not want to get rid of it. However, strangely as much as he liked it, the salesman told us he traded it in a different bike. After it had idled for a few minutes, there was a pool of water under it as he explained as condensation. A closer inspection showed that the exhaust pipe was already starting to rust in the spot the water was coming out. Still very interested, I asked what the price was since it was used. He told me the price was still the 3199 list price for a new bike. We decided to test ride it in the parking lot after signing multiple waivers. I asked him to get us a drive out price assuming it would be 3199.00 plus tax plus documentation. Since I had cash, I was going to offer them 3000 since it was used. We waited for 20 minutes or so and I was shocked when he showed me the papers. The drive out was $4527.12. But no worries, they were throwing in a 2 year warranty. Looking at the figures showed me why the price was 1K higher than I thought. The bike was listed as NEW..not used. Last time I checked, 560 miles is not even close to new. Woods also was double dipping as they wanted to charge $489.00 freight, $375.00 prep/build and 14.50 inspection. When I asked why, he said "It's a grom..everyone wants them." Selling a used bike as new is not cool. Charging me for freight and build when they already charged the first owner is just bad business and completely dishonest. Listing a bike as new on the paperwork when it is used..well, you come to your own conclusions. Too bad as my family and I have 10 motorcycles and seem to buy 1-2 a year. Bad service. Took my motorcycle for 12k miles service and they did not performed the full service. They overlook important and obvious defect that was on the checklist. On top of that they Over serviced the oil. Way to expensive for the sh*tty work they do. Simply bad maintenance. Don't take your bike there. read more

I went here to purchase a new bike a few months ago. I had called before I went to make sure that they had the bike. When I walk in, I noticed the sales guys just standing around chatting. I begin to think maybe I am invisible. Finally, after about 20 min, this guy comes up to me and ask me if I needed some help. I said that would be nice after waiting for over 20 min. He tells me " Oh, F*ck, I didn't even see you come in ". At this point, I am getting a little irritated with this guy's attitude and unprofessional behavior. I told him about the bike I had called about and he tells me they don't have it and asks me if I am sure I called. He told me he could order it and gave me a price quote $4,000 more than what I was told. By now, I realize I am dealing with a bunch of idiots and I just walk out. I swear these guys don't even look like they have a GED. I even overheard the other sales guys talking about some woman's booty they saw the other day. This place is shady. read more

They really are OK. I had a very bad experience with one guy-I bought a motorcycle from their sister store, Lone Star Triumph/BMW, then ordered a Bell helmet on which they gave me a 15% discount since I bought a motorcycle. It took a very long time to come in, and I wanted to ride, so I went in to buy another helmet while waiting for the first one to come in. I said that I'd like the same small discount that they'd given me on the first helmet to apply to the second one also since it hadn't come in when promised and one assistant manager said, "No", he couldn't do that. I said, "Look, I just spent a huge amount of money with your company, and will spend lots more over the next year, the helmet has not come in when promised, and I just want the same discount, 15%" He offered 10%, and refused to budge. I said, "That is a poor decision to lose a great customer..." over what amounted to $20. Finally a more senior manager agreed. Just stupid decision, but I understand you're going to have some bozos in a place like that. Hopefully he learned. But I doubt it. There were several other great guys in there though. I had just recently relocated to the Austin area (from Denver) and happened to move within a mile of Woods, and was excited that a Honda dealership was within walking distance for my 20K service. While out on a Saturday afternoon ride, my Honda VTX wouldnt start after a pitstop. After numerous attempts at starting my bike, I called AAA (I recommend this to EVERYONE) to tow to Woods. The tow truck (and myself) arrived at Woods at noon on Saturday, after calling ahead to discuss my issues. My service tech (Evan) took just over an hour to take notes and create a service ticket (this should have been a red flag to me). ROT was 5 days away and I told him I wanted my bike fixed by Thursday. He told me they could diagnosis it that day (Saturday). He explained the procedure for electrical problems ($89 per hour to diagnosis with a minimum of two hours) to me then explained it to my boyfriend even tho both of us had explained to him that it was MY bike. We could order parts on Monday if needed but would take 7-10 days unless I paid 'express' shipping which was $66. He kept focusing on the fact that I had just moved from Colorado and hadnt 'protected the battery' during down time. After not receiving a phone call before they closed on Saturday, I called. "Evan was busy and could call me back". He called back 45 minutes later to leave a quiet voicemail saying they were unable to diagnosis my bike. No explanation. They would look at it on Monday. THEIR SERVICE DEPT IS NOT OPEN UNTIL 9AM!! I called on Monday at 9am to tell them NOT to diagnosis but "was too late as it was already being serviced. They called mid morning to tell me "all is well with your electrical system. Its just a bad battery. Total cost is $237!" After determining that it was a battery issue, they continued to look for electrical issues. WORST part.....I picked up my bike, paid for it (whole other post on their cashiers,.....worthless). Note, my mileage was set to zero. Thought nothing of it. By the way, when I dropped it off, it was a full tank minus 11 miles. Turns out that they drained my gas tank, didnt refill it and never said anything to me. I ran out of gas three days later after not riding it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CRUISER HERE!!!! Go someplace that specializes in motorcycles. These guys do bikes, ATVs, boats, whatever comes their way. They are "certified" HAHHAHAHAHA!!! Certified in BS. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. Even if it is in writing they will lie their way out of a contract. And each time I went to a manager they lied to my face about the terms. I am only writing this to warn possible customers, because it is very obviously that Wood's management doesn't care what I think. Wood's is a shady place to do business with and who needs that when you are buying in this economy? The sales people are young commissioned based idiots and the sales and service people do everything in their power to steal your hard earned money. They said all in price was $6,100.. well they didn't tell me that there was an additional $1600 for prep, tax, and other bs.. but the worst thing, I had to drive back up to Austin from Houston because the guy forgot my spare. I get there and the key is at his house, so I wait for an hour. I get back to Houston and the spare i was given didn't work. So I took the key to them and asked for a new key cause the spare didn't work. They said I'd have to bring the bike to them because they don't know if I'm telling the truth or not.. just give me the damn spare! Fix your issues! Terrible terrible service. Only care about selling the bike and not being a good business with respect to their clients. Buy somewhere else!! read more

Disappointed. Took my bike in to have a new tire installed. After the installation, I noticed that one of the plates on the back of my swing arm used for adjusting chain tension was extremely loose and about to fall off and that the adjustments were not even. Also, when paying my bill they tried to charge me for work that had not been done or approved. They said it was just a reminder of work that "needed to be done". Too many other good shops in town to mess around with shoddy work and my health is too important to trust to fast and loose mechanics. read more

Managed to get over to Woods where they not only managed to get me a set in my price range, they were able to have it done same day and took it in immediately. Going here is like going to a sleazy used car dealer with a very poor mechanic. I had to use them at one time because they were the only Honda dealer and it was never a positive experience. Motorcycle salesman are like those vultures you see handing around the car lot and they only care about sales. They use those slimy car sales tricks to jack up the price and get out of holding up to their promises. Getting you bike serviced is like going to the little gas station where they might be able to fix it probably not and it took forever. Forget follow up calls also. Quick and simple, bought a new bike. The bike had a scratched gas cover. This was the bike I wanted, the only one in stock as well. The douche bag sales person, I never got his name, said I would get a replacement one, since the bike was new. He never followed up, I called him back three different times and always got the same answer. "oh we are really busy and $hit" real professional douche... I went into Woods Fun Center to check out some new models of motorcycles that just came out and had the pleasure of meeting Chris Herod. I am in sales and have no patience for salesman who can not be bothered to ask me what I want to do with a product, who do not listen to my needs and concerns, and who want to shove the product down my throat because this is the best day of the year to buy NOW. Chris Herod could not have been more friendly, knowledgeable, informative and professional. I told Chris that I could not buy anything now, due to the timing, but was trying to narrow down my purchase for later. Chris was very laid back and showed me several motorcycles that would work for me. His not trying to sell me really sold me on Chris and Woods Fun Center. All I can say is they don't stand behind there work. They offer a 90 day warranty that they will not stand behind. Insteat of saying yea we are in the wrong and we will fix it they will blame it on you and say you did something to the bike and messed it up. Walked in knowing I'd walk out with what I wanted, but of course you can't let the salesmen know that! I walk in assuming the worst, and ready to be stern and inquisitive. But from the moment Brandon walked up to us to the moment I signed my sexy new (used) Triumph today, there was no BS. Instead, only straight facts, educated opinions, shared experiences, negotiation and some epic banter to boot. I pride myself on being a tough buyer & confident researcher but as a TOTAL beginner female rider, I only could do my best. And Brandon (and Tao and Satchel) gave sound advice and fair pricing all day. I left & came back ready to pay and it was no problem holding the bike for me and we went through everything in detail answering every question (there. was. a. lot) impressively making me feel at ease. We took a test ride, got a lock and he even sat down and cleaned the spokes like the Saint he is. Took my CanAm Spyder to these guys in June this year (2016). It had been sitting for approx 18 months parked in my garage, but had been serviced only 3 weeks prior to storage. I took my bike to Woods Fun Center for a new battery, service, and necessary updates. I was advised there were several recall repairs necessary and it would take some time to get the parts. I would be responsible for an estimated cost of $127 labor. Ok, no problem. I finally got a call early August that the cost was now $1100??? The cost was mostly labor and was for many, many unnecessary procedures. The bike is an '08, but has only 6K miles on it. I whittled it down to what I felt was really necessary. I received a call that it was ready around mid-August 2016 at a cost of $627??? I still see that as an incredible amount of money. The sad thing beyond this is that the bike was obviously left exposed to the elements. I had to wait as they washed it, even though I advised them the day before I was coming that day. The tech that rode it out said, "Sorry it took so long, took awhile to get the bird s--t off of it"... I started it up and immediately got a "check engine" light, which I pointed out to another tech, "must be a low voltage issue"... Really? Didn't I just bring this in to be serviced and updated? I restarted the bike and the check engine disappeared, though it has come back several times since. Funny that you would have a low voltage issue with a new battery. I also have a grinding sound from underneath when I turn sharply under power as in a u-turn. That wasn't there before. I noticed that the key (which had been in the ignition) had a lot of corrosion on it. That wasn't the case when I took it in. As such, I looked in the trunk area when I got home and found that all cloth and paper items stored there are now water moldy, and there was water in the bottom of the trunk. Even one star is too good for Woods Fun Center. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!!!! They were very eager to sell us our 2016 Slingshot LE!!! ($32,000) Then after we purchased it, there were a total of 4 recalls that we were notified of. Per our correspondence we were to be contacted by Woods Fun Center to get the recalls completed. We waited, waited and waited, NEVER heard from Woods AT ALL!!!! Still haven't heard from them!!!! So, I contacted them... was told that the Service Manager would call us back. Once again we NEVER heard from them. So, we contacted Texas Powersports and spoke to Ian in Service. He was more than willing to get all the recall parts on order. He even mentioned it may take a couple weeks for the parts to arrive. We were excited to hear it would only be a couple weeks!!! We heard back from Ian as promised, we then scheduled the service that match our schedules. Now our 2016 Slingshot has all of its recalls done and we can get back to enjoying it!!! Huge Thanks go out to Ian and all the guys at Texas Powersports for taken such great care of us. They are now our service dealer for everything we need for our Slingshot! I'm glad I found this site with reviews of Woods Fun Center. I was interested in purchasing a Suzuki DRZ400 so I called last Saturday to get a quote. The salesman said he was busy and would call me back...he never called. I ended up finding a great deal at Cycle Center of Denton and drove all the way up to north Texas, but saved a lot of money and had a great experience. I wanted to make sure that I didn't make the trip in vain, but, based on other reviews, it sounds like Woods doesn't have good pricing and doesn't care about the sale (especially if they can't return a sales lead phone call). I need to get some accessories...I'll probably go to Woods to look, but then purchase elsewhere online. read more

We were looking for a Goldwing and had been shopping around on the internet. We asked for quotes from several dealers and several called us. Woods had the best deal over the phone. As we were deciding where to go I read the reviews here on Yelp. Despite the reviews went to Woods but were very cautious and we were ready to immediately walk out if any of the things we had read about started happening to us. Wow, we were very pleasantly surprised! It was nothing like we had read! "Big E" was our saleman and was very attentive and answered all our questions. All the employees were friendly and all asked us if we needed help and they even continued to talk with us after we told them we were being helped by someone else! Not only did we buy the bike but we walked out after financing LESS than we were told over the phone. Phillip in the business office was wonderful. I can honestly say it was one of the more pleasant buying experiences I have had. I can't comment on the service department since we have not had to use them but when we walked through they were all very friendly. I am not sure why all the negative comments have been written but our experience has been quite the opposite and we will be recommending Woods to anyone looking to buy. Thanks to everyone, I wish I could remember all the names, and by the way "Big E", your right the Goldwing is the greatest and we will never go back to anything else. read more

I'm astonished by all of the bad reviews. Mike was extremely patient, understanding what I was looking for and made several solid recommendations. Once I decided on a model, he constantly provided me with updates while I waited on the service team to put the finishing touches on my bike. The parts/accessories staff also took a significant amount of time out of their day to explain all of the options I was looking for so I could make an educated decision. We were recently at woods fun center looking to buy a jet ski and as soon as we walked in we were greeted by Austin and offered help while looking around. We had been talking to Charles on the phone. They were both extremely helpful and friendly. We never felt forced to buy and we were given the best deal out of 4 other dealerships beaten them by over a thousand. They had no problem answering all of our questions and were very knowledgeable on the equipment and helped us find the watercraft best suited for our needs and our budget. We were hesitant at first because of some of the comments but it was nothing of the sort. It really did have the best customer service and selection out of all the dealerships we visited. We definitely recommend going to woods if you are looking to buy a recreational vehicle and we will be making our next purchase from them as well. We have also had very good luck in the past with service technicians there, recently took an old jet ski for repair and they did a great job and even fixed our trailer light for free. Please stay away from this place. I bought in cash a Suzuki s40 because they would not let me test drive, which I was okay with because they explained it's not allowed for riders under 2yrs experience (dumb rule, and bad biz but I can abide). What I can't abide is since purchase they have not fulfilled a SINGLE promise. The tool kit was missing and, I called the sales person (Brian) 3 times and he said it was on order. After 2 months, I just ordered and got it from Suzuki for $40. I asked to get a service appointment scheduled as I was reaching my very important first break-in 500 mi service. Brian said he would get the service department to call me when I just asked to be transferred and schedule myself. NEVER got a call. When I called service myself they transferred me to Brian's voicemail claiming thats how it gets scheduled. I ended calling a friend over and we did the maintenance ourselves after buying the shop manual. I even talked to the manager Eric (arick?) and he said there were issues, he is new and cleaning house. My point is...don't spend your money here. You are not a person trying to get the machine that's right for you...you are just a number to meet a sale quota with no follow up. If you do buy a bike from them...do not get any service done here...assuming you can even get an appointment. I ended up learning my bike better and dodged a bullet avoiding those crooks to take my ride a part. Can you imagine what they would do to your bike in the places you can't see if they can't even keep the most simple promise? Your ride, your life...I will never take it to them. I told them I would be back to buy another bike in 2 months...I did (BMW scrambler) but not from those crooks! I have 2 friends signed up for the MSF TotalRider course at the VFW (they are awesome!) and are each looking to buy a new bike, happy to steer them away from wood fun center, and alert all my rider friends and meetup group members. read more

Purchase has been a nightmare (motorcycle sale) - very shady motorcycle sales tactics up front that will take you to the cleaners if you don't catch it. They will sell you something, not because it was what you originally came in to buy - but because he gets free equipment from a different brand name (helmets/Accessories); even if the helmet isn't the right fit. Then if you bring it back, he penalizes you by charging you $50 to help install a 3 minute comms unit install on a different helmet; which he didn't charge on the original helmet that he forced on you. Service department is swamped and they never answer the phone - ever. If you leave a message they never return the call - ever. Service increased their hourly rate for labor by $50 an hour. Oh, and by the way, did I mention that regardless of this increased labor cost - they still don't answer the phone or call you back - ever? And - More than one visit to get repairs done on the bike because they missed something the first time (no attention to detail). If you are unfortunate enough to have bought a bike that is specific to this shop, like a Triumph or BMW where this is the only dealership who can work on your bike - then you are locked into an extremely expensive and dysfunctional relationship forever. Go somewhere else - seriously. read more

Update: Since I wrote my review, it doesn't seem to be posted, anymore. Hmm. Don't understand that. But, A couple of days after my review, I got a Yelp! message from the Marketing Director. It looked like a form letter, asking if there was anything they could do to make things better. I suggested that they might refund my money for what I felt was a truly bogus 'diagnostics' of my motorcycles electrical system problems. I haven't heard anything back. So, my opinion of Woods Fun Center remains the same. I wouldn't go there on a bet. In fact, I'd travel as far as I had to, for service, to avoid them. read more

Buyers and consumers BEWARE!! There is zero integrity in the service department with respect to motorcycle repairs. And the 90 day warranty is NOT honored. Do not buy from here. Save yourself the drive and headache and your cash. You'd have better luck buying a lotto ticket than getting your ride fixed - with approximately $1,000 in service and goods spent to have a broken, non-driving bike to show for it! Had to tow it in and since they REFUSED to do the work we ALREADY PAID FOR, we had to tow it home!! read more

Bought a bike. I know "buyer beware" and I should have looked closer and perhaps negotiated better but to a certain degree they didn't disclose everything about the bike. I asked if the bike had a title, and it didn't. I asked about the previous owner and got a story of an older gent trading it in for something smaller. only later I learned it was a trade from another dealer. I rely on the dealer to give me full and truthful disclosure on buying a used vehicle. if there is no history then don't lie about it. tell the truth and I can make the decision to buy or not. I would still have been interested but would perhaps take more interest in its condition. Now a dealer is a dealer and they are in a business to make money. I don't disregard this but my expectations are higher of a dealer for which I pay a premium. On a positive note, I had a service on the bike and they were very professional and the service was quick. The sales staff, although predatory and perhaps lacking in technical knowledge of the specific bikes I was looking at, were professional and courteous. I would have no problem recommending someone purchase a vehicle from them but you MUST know the vehicle you are looking at and the blue book values if buying used. read more

I have been in and out of Woods Fun Center maybe 6 times in the past 5 months looking at various bikes (Ninja 300, FZ6R, Ninja 650, Vulcan 900, Interstate). I was not sure what I wanted but after passing the MSF course I knew I really wanted to move from a slow and pokey Nissan Frontier to something fun and reliable to work and back everyday. When I walked up to the door today I was planning on buying a bike but I didn't really know what I wanted, needed etc... My only previous experience was 5 hours on a Eliminator 125, 5 hours on a Gz250, 2 hours on a KTM 450 exc and 1 hour on an adventurer 990 r. None of those bikes really fit me physically or personally. I was immediately approached by Mike as we neared the door and he asked what I was looking for. I didn't really know but I told him that I wanted to look at some of the used V Star 650's and maybe the Ninja 300. Over the next 30 - 45 minutes Mike had me sit on a number of cruisers and other bikes he thought would fit me. I really liked this approach as most shops would just point me right to whatever had the decent markup. Mike really took his time to figure out what I wanted even when I didnt know what I really wanted. He took me and the wife to look at some bikes in the back and then we came out front and looked at one last bike, my new 2009 Kawasaki Versys 650. I had some difficulty choosing a bike for 2 reason, height and weight. I am around 6'5 and over 300lbs. But after sitting on the versys I immediately felt right at home, the pegs, the shifter, the controls and rear brake was all pretty much perfect. I decided to purchase so we moved indoors and started talking price. There was no haggling, no hidden fees. I will stop here and make a side bar....For those of you who think the dealer is going to sell you anything (cars boats trucks bikes pidgeons monkeys ants asteroids) at or less than cost you don't understand what trade and commerce is. If you go in with an understanding that for this market in Central Texas, for the bike you are looking, with the miles and wear it has if the price is acceptable and/or within the limit of your comfort zone then the bike is worth the price. Is there wiggle room in deals, always, will dealerships give away merchandise, never. I got a good deal on the versys, I bought the warranty, tire plan, and insurance all cheaper than the internet could provide for me. I was out the door higher than I went in thinking I was going to spend but in reality, I bought a bike that fit, is used but only 380 miles on the odo, warranty, and after my test drive tonight it lit my face with smiles and "woo hoo" down the road. I came the to store not knowing what I wanted, I left with a bike that fit, is fun, fast, safe and I left feeling taken care of for a great price. The insurance and financing was also extremely smooth and after going through the car purchasing process over ten times so far I can assure Woods has this process down to a science and was very efficient with no hidden fees/paperwork/etc... They even brought my bike to my home within an hour of closing the deal, Im a new rider and there were 30mph winds today so I didnt feel like crashing right from the go :) I would definitely buy from Woods again and suggest that if you are in the market to go down there and have a chat with their staff. read more

Sales staff is good at what they do, make you feel like your buddies. However service department SUCKS. I dropped $19k on a new 2014 rzr 1000. was told 3 different prices on the 10 hr break in service $200 by salesman, $250 by service dept then $362 when I dropped vehicle off for service. That is $ 362 for an oil change & air filter. They could not even bother to wipe the oil off the skid plate where it spilled. also the parts department botched my order. They ordered a roof for a rzr 800. forgot to order the mounting hardware needed to mount the safety harness and they can not sell you just a single wheel & tire for a spare. Also any upgrades you make you do not receive credit for the OE item. Example if you purchase wheel & tire package they keep the wheels and tires that come on the rzr, charge you full retail for the new wheel/tire package the resell the wheels/tires that they got off you for free. So buyer beware, make sure you do your homework first... read more
