Hired through a third party. They do price per piece or space. They showed up on day requested, were professional, fast and courteous. They handled things carefully and wrapped things very well. Nothing was lost or broken. Got things to new location 6 hours away in a timely manner, next day. Unload, unwrapped, put together and unloaded everything where we wanted. I never give out bad reviews to companies, but this one is by far the worst moving company that I've ever had to deal with. Rude customer service, extortion of money, somehow legally. We were informed that the movers weren't going to make it with their truck into the parking lot. When asked from the building manager, someone with the exact same size truck had moved in a month prior, everything was super easily set up for big trucks. Then all of a sudden the issue was the speed humps, when asked what model truck they were driving, the issue was the turning angles. Moving the goalpost to make more money. Only would've TRIED delivery if we took written responsibility FULLY of the truck. FMCSA agreed it was fucked up, but only way to force them to try delivery is to get written statements from building owner and city, which we didn't have time for. Absolutely do NOT use Rigos Moving & Storage. If I can save even one family from making the mistake of hiring Rigos Moving & Storage, I will have done my job and will be satisfied. We hired Rigos to move our home and family possessions from Arizona to North Carolina over the summer with disastrous results. The initial packers did a fantastic job loading the truck in Arizona. Along the journey, our possessions were transferred from the original truck to another to complete the journey. Absolutely no care was taken during this transfer. Dozens of irreplaceable items were destroyed. Our 8' fiberglass step ladder was stolen. Plastic bins were crushed by improper packing. Cardboard boxes were crushed. Several well-packed pieces of artwork were destroyed. Outdoor patio chairs were destroyed. Our extra-large dog crate was destroyed. We estimate our loss to be thousands of dollars. Rigos Moving & Storage employs a third-party Anthem Claim Management to settle claims on their behalf. Instead of doing the right thing, they offer $.60 per pound of estimated weight on items lost which amounted to $55. It is in the fine print of the contract, but the other option is to spend an inordinate amount of time prior to the move itemizing every item you don't want destroyed and paying expensive insurance to ensure they do their job right and treat your items with respect. If I were to accept that ridiculous $55 payment, I would waive my right to offer this review on the internet. RUN AWAY. We paid over 50K to move from California to Maryland and 40% of our items were either broken or missing. I can't rate them low enough. Chair legs broken as it slammed on the ground. I "contracted" with Rigo's through SafeShip. If I could give them a minus 100I would. DO not use this moving service. They broke so much of my things. When they brought my things, they didn't re-assemble anything. The truck driver had a wreck, took off the side of the truck and my things came out. Here is a list of partial things they broke and I'll be back with pics. Took three days of calling back-and-forth only for them to tell me to file a claim which I will. We contracted through safe ship, an over $20k move from az to mi, had been told that the teams picking up and dropping off could accept Zelle as a form of payment. That they were professionals who would break down anything that could be broken down, that they would treat our things as if it was theirs so that things wouldn't be damaged. The first day that we had scheduled for Safe Ship to pick up our things, the employees from Rigos took one step inside our home, looked around, and said they would be requiring a higher payment even though we expressed to them that everything they saw wasn't going. The main man in control of the team tried to argue, he spoke broken english, so we called the Safe Ship help line. So, the Rigos team left without having touched a single thing, and we scheduled for Safe Ship to send out another team on another day. 2nd day, the Rigos team show up with more men then the previous team that had showed up. The main guy was obsessed with only taking what was on the list, if it wasn't on the list he didn't want to take it. Except his team did not take things that were on the list, they kept moving things and stacking things they didn't want to deal with in a corner even when we and their boss told them they were supposed to take that item. The team was extremely rough with things, bumping furniture into the top of the door frame as they moved it out of the house. My mother went to prop open the 2nd door of our double door entrance as they just kept going in and out the 1 door instead of opening the 2nd door. The guy in charge later tried to lie to me and say he was the one who propped it open when I had watched my mother do that exact task, when I said that he tried to back track and continue lying. My mother began to cry from how they were treating our things and went into another room to call Safeship customer service, only then did they slow down and start treating our things with a smidgen more respect and stopped banging them into doors and walls. I had to leave behind my fathers ladder and my grandfather's tool box because they continued to ignore me and say things wouldn't fit, when they weren't breaking down items that were able to be broken down. We had to leave behind years worth of holiday decorations because of them even though they were nicely packed up. Before the first day we went out and bought 2 mattress covers and tv boxes for our 3 samsung tvs (two 55 inch tvs, one 65 inch tv) and made sure that these boxes went up 75 inch tvs, the team only used 2 of these boxes and ignored the 3rd for our 65 inch tv, which then resulted in our 65 inch tv now having halos in all four corners. Meanwhile the 2 55 inch tvs that were put into the boxes we bought have no halos. Team leader also complained to us that we did not buy them lunch. We were not informed that we were expected to provide meals to the employees. We were told just before they arrived to deliver that they could not accept Zelle as a form of payment and so we had to scramble to get a money order for them to deliver our furniture. The team lead that showed up once again spoke broken english, and we later figured out they were a completely different moving company then Rigos. They did not treat our things gently as they moved them out from the truck, and were in a rush to finish us as fast as possible. One man dropped a dresser down 5 stairs and then tried to hide that him dropping this dresser broke the foot off one of the corners and scraped up the top corner of the dresser, and tried to move the foot into the right place when I went down to check on him after he'd dropped the dresser. He did not tell me what he did, he attempted to hide it. We noticed on 1 end table wood was cracked and broken. When we expressed this to the team leader he roughly grabbed the bottom and pulled it to try and correct it, ignoring us when we yelled please don't, breaking the wood more to the point a piece came off. They only put together one bed, and upon inspection they used screws that were not the original screws for that bedframe, including a random rusty screw, they made new holes in the bedframe and cracked the wood. We also later found an item that wasnt ours, no idea what to do with this item, it had a red sticker and ours were green. The screws for the other bedframe are missing. We have multiple missing items. They do not care. Like other reviews they only pay $0.60 per pound and they ESTIMATE the weight, so its not even the correct weight. The second team was complaining about how heavy some of our furniture was. The anthem claim management team wants to say i did not provide enough pictures with the damage in them, even claiming they didnt get the video showing the damage done to one of the bedframes. Now they sent a letter that basically if I want the measly $286 dollars I cant complain anywhere? Wow. read more

Unfortunately, I didn't see any of these reviews regarding Safe Ship and/or Rigo's prior to Safe ship using them for my movers..... and unfortunately a lot of those reviews have ended up on the other Rigo's Yelp. Not only did I end up being charged an additional $6000 but they OVERCHARGED me. Now I'm currently fighting to get the money back they acknowledged they owe me (finally just received that moments ago). Safe ship is rather useless. They aren't holding this company accountable. Our 70" TV screen was cracked. Multiple legs on furniture broken, they put highly adhesive tape on the front of furniture pieces that tore off part of the coating. Absolute trash companies. Used the service twice, 2 movers with a truck, load/unload. They did a decent job wrapping up my furniture and doing the load and transfer into the Pod. Now time to empty the pod into the truck and truck into my home- the second time around was a completely different experience. To start, they brought too big of a truck causing parking issues we could have been without. They fully dropped the filing cabinets onto concrete from the tuck and by the end had broken through protective plastics on the mattress and the couch, and dinged/scratched/removed the paint of multiple pieces. They also took anything not in a box, not paying attention to any 'fragile' or 'do not stack on' notes, and threw it all in a total of 4 wardrobe boxes then charged $20 each for them. The items loose were intentional, and their company didn't need them the first time. Note, that the company supervisor was on the first and the second job. The boxes were supposed to save them time (I imagine) yet it took longer to unload this time around than actually wrapping up and packing up my entire apt. Also, note that if you go 15 minutes overtime, you owe an additional hour of work. This time around, each mover needed to use the restroom and was in there 10-15 minutes each. Another $120 for that. ZERO STARS if it's possible! EVERYONE PLEASE AVOID THIS MOVING COMPANY! Started off with Raymond contracting us for the move and he was charming and assuring like everyone has mentioned in the reviews so we signed with him. However, this was when the nightmare started. Thurs, Feb 2nd, 2023 - spoke with Raymond (Ray) and signed a contact for our move from Santa Barbara to San Francisco at a flat rate of $2,335 for our 2 bed, 2 bath, 1 garage town home approx. 1,200sqf. However, it was not mentioned to us that the rate would change based on any increase in items until it was mentioned to us by Michael who took over the contract from Ray. Ray had also mentioned a 7-8am early pick up time and a same day delivery to San Francisco was possible and that was one of the deciding factor for choosing them over some of the local Santa Barbara moving companies. However, that wasn't the case. Sun, Feb 5th - We got a follow up call from Michael, who was professional and went over each room with us to determine a more accurate estimate and then it was made known to us that our "Flat rate of $2,335" would be increased to $4,800. Therefore, we paid the differences in deposit to ensure that the movers were going to show up on Saturday, Feb 11th. Michael also told us that they were unable to do the 7-8am pickup on Saturday and same day delivery and it all depends on the dispatch who would only be finalized on Friday evening. We were furious and felt deceived and knew we had to speak with Ray who contracted with us initially. Mon-Wed, Feb 6-8th - We tried calling Ray and left him multiple voicemails but never got a response, at this point we were panicking and worrying if we were able to move that weekend. Thurs, Feb 9th - We finally got a call form Michael informing us that Ray had passed the information along to him to call us back. We expressed our concern about the increased in moving costs, promised pick-up time and same day delivery and needed to speak with Ray. Michael informed us that there was nothing he could do as he was not the one who contracted with us and we needed to speak with Ray and he would get Ray or someone else to follow up with me. At this point, it was too late to start looking for another moving company to take on our move and we just have to trust that they would show up on Saturday. Fri, Feb 10th - No responses from Ray so we called Michael to ask him about the update and also the pick up time for our move on Saturday, Feb 11th, he mentioned that they would be there from 8-10am. Sat, Feb 11th /Moving day - Movers showed up 30mins late at 10:30am and did a walk thru of our items and to our horror we were quoted an additional $1,300 on top of the revised rate of $4,800 so now our total rate is $6,100. It went from $2,335 to $6,100 and we knew there was no way we could have backed out and had to go along with the new rate as we were scheduled to move that day. Took 30 mins to walk thru and have us pay the 50% remaining before they would start the move so they finally started at 11am with a 4 men crew. They managed to load up the truck within 2.5 hours but our desk was broken during the move and some furniture were not wrapped in protective packing as we instructed that caused it to be dented, scratched and chipped. At the end of the move when we were signing off on the final paperwork, Supervisor Mario asked us for a tip for his crew mentioned that they have done a great job. We felt pressured and threaten to leave a tip in exchange for our items, which were held in their possession for the night until the next day. Therefore, we paid the tip and hope that our items would get there safely and undamaged. Mario mentioned that he would put a note for early delivery from 8-10am. Sun, Feb12th - A different set of 2 men crew showed up at 11:30am and took 30 mins to go over paperwork, collected final payments before starting at 12pm. They started off doing a good job but rushed towards the end because they have another pick up in San Jose at 4:30pm. Only when our items were delivered, we noticed some of our furniture were damaged and not wrapped as instructed and our laundry detergent was also STOLEN, which we did indicate in the paperwork before signing off. Mon, Feb 13th - Called Ray and was finally able to get a hold of him, he has no recollection of who we were and our move and was unapologetic and dismissive to our concerns and threw out the name "Liz" and said she was the one I needed to speak to, if I wanted to file a complaint and hung up on me. I was not able to reach him since then and what an unprofessional attitude and way of handling business. Wed, Feb 15th - Spoke with Anthony and expressed my concerns and he mentioned that he will informed his manager and someone will reach out to me that day. I used this company and regret ever having encountered this business! They showed up after giving me an out the door quote for one price then the guy who shows up tried to raise the price by $500+ for my sofa that was included in the quote. We allotted for the quote so now we have to replace the sofa! Then it took nearly a month to get our stuff with zero ability to reach them. When my items arrived we were missing 5 entire boxes, several boxes were opened, the tape was actually cut, boxes were crushed, and several were damp as if they were exposed to the elements. Items in the boxes were damaged. Then when I contacted them with the above issues they stated oh you got what we got, the damage was due to the poor quality boxes..they were U-Haul boxes reinforced with several layers of tape on inside and outside never should have "broken open" as they stated and it must have been the warehouse location that it was held over at during transport. I can not stress enough how awful of an experience this was! To top it off one of the missing boxes was irreplaceable photos, another was grandmothers china and one was all unopened sheets, towels, tide pods, still in shopping bags in the box! read more

ZERO stars. I need to preface this by saying I would have never hired these scumbags if I had known it was them and not the other, highly-rated Rigo's moving. Do not be fooled by the reasonable quote they give you, they WILL CHARGE YOU MORE MONEY at pick up. I gave Raymond a precise list of items I would be moving for my quote, and double checked the day before pick up that it was correct. On the day of the pick up, the movers tried to tell me that my stuff was "oversized" (named my standard size queen mattress as an example) and they would need to charge me an additional $900 to move everything. I was leaving the state the next morning so i had no choice but to remove items from my move and donate them, and i still somehow got charged an additional $700 for them to take my things. They under estimate the space your furniture will take up on purpose for the quote so you will book with them but when they get there to pick up your stuff they will act like the things that were included in the quote are over size and hit you with surprise fees to move your things. But if that already wasn't bad enough, the move took almost a month to arrive at my destination despite them promising me delivery between 5-7 days from pickup. They have practically no customer service and are impossible to get a hold of over the phone. I had no call them over 40 times to get through to anyone at their office trying to figure out where my furniture was, and when someone finally did pick up the woman hung up on me. And when my furniture finally did arrive, this is the condition they arrived in. Broke a ton of my pieces and handled my fragile boxes with 0 care. They of course will not answer the phone for me to file an insurance claim either. Overall, I wish I had saved myself from the nightmare that dealing with these scammers was. I ended up paying more money than I would have with a competent company, only for me to have to replace hundreds of dollars worth of items. read more

We accepted a bid through a company called PackMen Moving (FL). Our initial estimate was $7,400 which increased to $12,900 after we sent the final box and furniture count. This increase was expected since I had no idea how to estimate the number of boxes we would have upfront. I sent a detailed list (including the sizes of all furniture) to get to the final estimate. I had a couple of concerns which they are assuring me they are addressing such as I explained how I wanted to make a pick up payment via credit card in the full amount less $1000 which I would pay at delivery and was assured by multiple people that was absolutely possible only to be told by the carrier that they only accept payment on credit card of $1000 which meant my entire plan changed on how I would have to pay (considering we were having them pick up before closing it was just a timing issue not an actual money issue). Just confirm with whomever calls you to schedule the pick up of your payment plans and make sure they don't backtrack on what they tell you. Also verify other payment methods such as Zelle as they also have daily limits and none of these companies explain any of these things to you. PackMen contracted with a company called Exclusive Movers out of New Jersey (but with other paperwork showing an Alabama address) which should actually be called Extortion Movers. While PackMen has been responsive to the situation and assured me they will no longer contract with this particular company I urge you to do your homework if you use them and know who the carrier will be they send to your house. I didn't find this out until they arrived so I had no time to research or read reviews. I also have reason to believe Maria and her associates operate under various company names (addresses on paperwork doesn't match from form to form nor with their website - it's all very suspect at best. The address listed as the office of Exclusive Movers and many of the other companies identified is actually a store front operating under the name Fulani African Hair Braiding so yet another reason to be suspect as it's not a transportation company at all.) Even if PackMen no longer contracts with Exclusive Movers it could still be another company name but the same people (from researching it seems there are more than 30 companies potentially in this network of scams - many of which have been involuntarily shut down for a variety of reasons including fraud). The carrier (Exclusive Movers) arrived at my house 12 hours late (midnight instead of noon). The Foreman entered my house reeking of pot and proceeded to walk through my house and then gave me a new estimate over $20,000 (over 6300 cubic feet - nearly double the 3608 from the final PackMen estimate). I had to call the owner of the company to resolve the billing issue and after much back and forth we got to a price we agreed was acceptable. Maria, the owner, proceeded to explain to be how the estimate works and that the cubic feet presented (5500 in our case) was the worst case scenario and if I didn't use it all I didn't pay for what wasn't used and if I went over then there was no additional charge. As the Foreman was having me sign paperwork he proceeded to tell me once I got to 5500 he wouldn't load anymore or I would have to pay additional fees (the opposite of what the owner of his company told me) so once again I had to get Maria involved. As he was presenting paperwork he gave me a blank inventory form and told me to sign it. I refused as signing a blank form is not ethical nor best practice. After that he gave me another blank page called a post-delivery form (remember they're only at pick up at this point) and told me to sign it which again I refused - why would I sign a blank document that could affect potential fees to my bill without those amounts filled in? He told his crew to stop loading because I refused to sign so yet again we had to get Maria involved. Once we had that resolved the crew (not the Foreman who reminded us repeated he was the Foreman and didn't work) began loading our boxes into a box truck while we were waiting on the actual moving truck to arrive. Since they were upset that they were unable to get more money from us they worked at a snails' pace. They also told us every time we complained or called Maria they would get slower. During the loading process we had to hear the "N" word used multiple times, at one point the foreman said "we need to find some Mexicans to hire" and also that he needed to get done so he could "get home to F*ck his bit*hes". At one point, as the Foreman was once again providing us with inaccurate information and we were arguing the reality of the situation he told my spouse to "Shut the F*ck up". Besides the completely inappropriate and unprofessional discussion happening, it was now 3 am and they were outside speaking very loudly (with little of the conversation relevant to my move). Contracted through Safe Ship. If I could give this company a negative review I would. By far, the worst moving company I have ever used. The movers picked up my belonging on June 4th and didn't deliver until July 11th. Some of the boxes were damaged and a few of them were opened and resealed, after being rummaged through. Upon delivery, the main driver was very rude. He only cared about getting paid then went and sat in his truck while his helpers did all the work. These guys were out today. They are very hard workers and they took care with our items. 3/5 stars for the following reasons: Cost almost doubled when they showed up. This was partly my fault. $750 tacked on for packing materials. They said they would go $450 if we paid cash and didn't tell anyone. We didn't have cash and we sold our car for this move so we didn't have a way to get cash. $350 tacked on at the end for a bulk item fee for the fridge because they apparently forgot to add it in. Once again, they offered a lower $150 amount if we could pay cash. Up until this point, we were going to give them each a $100 check because they worked really hard and took care with our items. But that's now $1100 in fees tacked on for what felt like funzies. They stopped putting the inventory stickers on our items (at least where we could see). We are concerned some of our items may be lost between transfers. They left their trash bag in the grass in front of our apartment and empty water bottles in front of our door when they left. They mentioned a delivery window of 7-10 business days. When I mentioned we paid $1500 more for faster, no new delivery window was mentioned. We went with this option because of the estimated cost and delivery time -- the person selling the service to us made it seem like our items could show up before we did... when talking to the guys in person, this seemed like an impossibility and that we are looking at a delivery window equal to the pods (which we couldn't do because we needed our items sooner). I'm trying to trust the sales rep on this but I'm worried. I'll update and raise this to 4 stars if all of our items arrive on time and in good shape. read more

This company gets a negative review due to its relationship with Cheetah movers! Our service was not touched by Cheetah, not one time! Our experience was terrible! First, cheetah sent us 2 different contracts, due 2 various reasons, and the second one was with a company called Rigos. My fiance gave a DETAILED review of what we had to pack, regarding the big furniture, with boxes to be estimated. Quoted 2300, after "discounts". Our most valuable piece was our bed. Tempur pedic, with base, and a large bed frame. All outlined to Laura Ortega with Cheetah. The day has come and the movers come in and the first thing he notices is the bed, with wide eyes. After full surveillance, we were quoted 1300 more than quoted. Now, this is AFTER we decided we would not bring our couch and our chair. It would have been more. Feburary 28th: Mario and his guys (FROM RIGOS, NOT CHEETAH) WERE AMAZING! We even tipped them. We watched them packed all our things in the truck appropriately and we felt so good about it. Brokedown our table, and 2 beds! So, we are under the impression our things are on its way to TX with Mario and his guys and Rigos. Had a date of March 9th to be the earliest drop off date, but knew it may take up to 21 days. March 7th, we called for an update, to be told they would be getting into TX the next day. Cool! March 8th around 4 pm CST, call from Wendy, Rigos dispatcher, telling us... not asking... telling us that drop off is tomorrow at 8 am. No 24 hour advance notice, and when asked if we can have a different time, because we work, we were told "you will be charged a rescheduling fee. Which you may want to opt for placing your stuff in storage, because it would be cheaper than the rescheduling fee." PAYING FOR STORAGE!?!? RESCHEDULING FEE (for a notice less than 24 hours)?! Ok... we were proactive and moved clients and patients around. We were told we would get a call from the drive 30 minutes before 8 am. Cool! March 9, 7:45 am: No call, so we are heading to our apartment, because we have no furniture, so staying with my family. Get there in 10 mins. No call. 8:15 am, call Wendy, no answer. 8:45, no call, call Wendy, no answer. 8:58 am Pedro calls us to tell us he is outside. With limited English he says, "I am at 1#### ### St. Where are you?" We walk outside to no one there. He is frustrated after some time, and hangs up on my fiance. Now... we were told it will be a 17 wheeler, not hard to miss correct? Wendy is called and she tells us she gave him the address we gave her, but we need to drop a pin to him. *side eye*. 1.5 hours later, standing in 50 degree weather for 30 of that, and finally, after flagging down 3 trucks that wasn't ours, find our truck. Now this is the next moving company we knew nothing about (My American movers Inc, but we communicated with people from Rigos). He tells us, he was "all the way down there." The first noticeable thing.... movers are not Mario nor are our things loaded the way we saw it leave our home in CALIFORNIA. Wooooosahhh. Our fragile stuff was in the middle of all the boxes, including under our boxes labeled "very heavy". Our bin had a lid, with all our liquids and hair products, was laying on it SIDE with products leaking out of it. The thing that took us over the edge was the movers refusing to build the bed that was broken down and WENDY telling my fiance that they only put together "basic beds". Wtf is a basic bed?!?! My fiance was upset and yelled at her that they will build this bed. We are paying them for this service! Worst company in the business. This joke of a company moved us from Redding CA. To Littleton CO. Several pieces of furniture were damaged and a metal shelving unit never made it to Colorado. They offered us $40 to settle the claim we submitted. This is criminal and very unprofessional. Do not fall victim to this disgrace of a company. Horrible experience at pickup. This is the worst service provider you can ever imagine. Shipped our household items for long distance, guess what... Half of them never came. The other half was severely damaged. Didn't start well. Moved.com somehow chose a distant mover (73 miles) rather than a local one. No idea what they were thinking. Somehow Rigo's didn't discover that the move was out of their service area, though they'd agreed to it, until the night before the move. They called and told me it would cost $180 more than they'd agreed upon. Eventually, after I raised a bit of a ruckus, things were resolved, I didn't have to pay for the mistakes of others, and the move happened as scheduled. It felt more than a little shady to me until everyone worked it out. The timing seems to have been orchestrated for the maximum leverage to extract more money and give me no time to utilize alternatives. But now the rest of the story. The three young men of the Rigo's move crew were outstanding. Very professional, hard-working, polite, just excellent in every respect. Everything was moved without issues or the slightest damages. Could not have been any better. Management gets a couple of stars for eventually helping to make things right. Without management's screw-up, the crew would get 5 stars. read more

My gf hired Finest Fellas Moving Company after lots of research because they said they have been in the moving business for decades and are family owned and operated.she was reassured several times on the phone they aren't brokers, only to find out on the day of the move and unbranded truck 6 hours after the pickup time. came with very much not Italian family members like they made it seem. It was Rigos Delivery Moving and Storage which I never agreed to ship with. The mover wasn't even in the apartment yet and saw lightweight patio furniture and told her he already knew her stuff was going to be over the limit. He boxed and taped things up like already packed pillows and things that wouldn't break or fly around and break anything. Come to find out, it's so he can charge an additional 150 in addition to the 130 quoted for packing supplies. He said a little over the limit. Come to find out she was called by their representative saying her weight was 1300 pounds over and had to pay 95 cents a pound in addition. She requested a reweigh which they did in CO. It was off by 300lbs, however, they tried charging her 1880 in addition to 2K at delivery she gave them and in addition to the 918 dollar deposit.she told them she saw online that you should account for 10% extra potentially for your move. I still don't believe it was an accurate weight because she has the specs of all mothers furniture and items. I don't think going off of a scale that has a % of inaccurate scaling that could amount to $500+ of being off is ok. The mover insisted on her paying cash at the flying J when she was confirming the scale. She didn't have thousands of dollars of cash on her. He made me call his office and she had to Zelle them 2K for them to leave her alone after he realized the banks were closed and couldn't make her go there. They didn't take debit like Finest Fellas did and I felt like that was weird. She texted the mover upon unpacking and let him know there were missing items. He claimed it wasn't missing and "we don't need nothing from you". I was in disbelief from the whole experience that a one bedroom at 720 square feet that was quoted at $2640 total by a family owned business ended up being a brokered company that ended up being nearly $5K. She didn't even have much furniture. They wouldn't honor the pounds on the ticket of 1000lbs over exactly and were trying to get 1880 in addition. read more

Let me preface this by saying if I could, I would rate zero stars, they simply the worst and gave NO service to my family but only brought pain and issues. I usually do not write reviews to often, but this time I have to, people out there have to know and be aware, this company is unreliable, with a two-faced leader liar at the head!! They have Raymond a very pleasant voice, he assures you that you are taking care of 100%. And then the big day is coming up, they show up one hour later to start with, then they walk through the apartment to let us know that we have way too many things and it would cost us double the amount what we signed the contract for, of course we didn't agree on this, calling the company to confirm nobody to answer the phone... Then my husband was explaining them that this is not what Raymond assured us about the night before; the leader of the pack calls someone after all, it's 10 o'clock am, they all get in the truck saying they will be back after lunch and they drive away, my gosh we are there with our belongings stranded for two days until by Gods grace we found another truck, I still have nightmares about it, horrible experience!!! Worst headache of my whole fucking life. I personally filed a moving fraud complaint against them with the FMCSA and after digging found out there were 7 more filed just within the last 12 months. Where do I begin Original quote - 1700 Current total (excluding half my crap they didn't take but charged me for anyways) - 6100 Their "estimate" for moving the remainder of my crap despite the fact I've already paid - 2400 They came and picked up my things early (unfortunately I wasn't expecting this and I wasn't fully packed) I was Quoted for 450cubic feet. I was very clear when I was getting a quote I have large items that will take up significant space. (Probably closer to 600). They said 450 is more than enough space. They come to pickup my items and they walk in, walk around and say I have 820 cubic feet of items. (I had a half empty 2 bed apartment. 820 cubic feet is consistent with a 3 bed apartment.) My items were not measured or weighed. The items that were left since they were unpacked - I was told I would receive a call and schedule pickup and shipment of remainder of items. This was July 14, 2022. I never received a call and after both myself and my husband calling and texting 3 different confirmed numbers at minimum once a week with no call/text back, on Sept 29, 2022 I finally was able to schedule pickup for next day. When my husband drove an hour and a half to the pickup site he was told he needed to pay 1,200 on the spot for them to pickup my items and sign a separate contract. After arguing with the company, the movers on site and the storage unit the movers left without taking my items. As of today, 10/7, I have called twice a day every day since and have been unable to speak to let alone resolve this issue. Let's say I ignore the fact the cost tripled and half my items aren't even coming. I gave my delivery address on 9/20 and requested my items be delivered week of 9/26. On 9/28 I called to ensure that they were in fact delivering that week as requested since I never got confirmation. I was told my items would be delivered latest 9/30. On 10/2 I was given a phone number to call because Liz/Natalie said that they didn't know where my items/the truck was. Spoke to a gentleman and told him I was promised delivery that never came. He laughed at me and said he wasn't even halfway to me and had 4 more deliveries before me. He gave me a more "reasonable" estimate of mid to end of week 10/3. Yesterday - 10/6 - I received a call at 1pm (while I was at work) saying he would be there tomorrow morning 8:30am for delivery. He said I owe 2,800 and it must be paid in cash. (I don't know what kind of ransom bullshit this is but 1. I'm not paying cash since it can't be verified that I paid and 2. I'm not running around at 6pm getting almost 3,000 in cash scrambling for an 8:30 delivery). Today I am writing this review at noon. I've called the driver and 3 additional company numbers. I've gotten no test or calls back. My items are not here. The driver never came. So as of this second, I've paid 3,100, waited 3 months, made god only knows how many phone calls and sent dozens of texts for half my crap to be god only knows where, the other half in a storage facility while I fight for delivery without a second contract or a refund of the money I paid for those items. I'm a reasonable person guys. I never write reviews. I'm the person that will tip 100% of my bill if I feel like I asked the waiter for a lot. I have sat on the cement outside a tire shop for 7 hours with a screaming 2 year old before waiting for a tow truck to arrive with my car and not complained for a second. But this. Oh my god. I have moved cross country three other times. This is the worst handling of my belongings that I have ever experienced. Many boxes were missing, and two collectible expensive things were missing. I've called, and I did put in a claim with the proper department. Now, after unpacking the last few items, I find an expensive electric collectible picture is damaged. It seems if your income isn't high enough to afford total insurance, you are out your items. You get a few cents per pound. I have never had this happen to this extent. Super surprised by the other reviews! In the past I've always just found random movers on craigslist and they were usually unreliable, super late, didn't communicate, and didn't really have strategy or tools to help me move. I heard about Rigos from a friend and it was the easiest move I've had so far. I called them a couple of days in advance for a last minute move, and they were able to drop off boxes and tape to me that same night. I was assigned a project manager, so I had one point of communication which was nice. They quoted me an 8am-9am arrival and came at exactly 8am, moved quickly, and didnt charge for driving time to the next location. They packed up even the small bags I thought I would have to do multiple trips for, and carefully wrapped all my furniture in plastic wrap and blankets. Would definitely recommend ! read more

I contracted for delivery of 350 cu ft, the smallest volume available, though I had significantly less that that volume shipped. I knew this from the start, so I agreed. I have no problem with that. However, I was charged an additional $350 upon delivery ($1 per cu. ft IN CASH), since the driver texted, "I really want to do the way how you asking me to do but there is no way it's a semi friendly building," even though I proved him wrong by snapping a picture of an 18 wheeler with a 40 ft long 14ft high trailer parked nearby at the baseball stadium next door to my apartment. He still refused and said he had to transfer the load to a U-Haul in order to deliver my belongings, and "If we don't come to agreement I will keep moving to next delivery." I then posted a picture of an Anheuser Busch semi with a 14 ft high 40 foot long trailer currently delivering beer to the baseball stadium. He replied "I reserved the Uhaul as soon as I finish transferring let you know." So I was forced into paying him $350 (IN CASH) when he arrived, or he would not deliver my household goods. I have saved all the text messages and images that I posted to that driver. The company that hired him, Rigos Delivery Moving & Storage, knows all about this, and yet they have not offered to refund that money. They are responsible for their drivers, so they clearly deserve this 1 star rating, and I'd give ZERO stars if I could. Note: The driver's text messages have been quoted exactly as he typed them. A complete disaster of a company! When movers arrived to move a 3 BR house, they had enough room on the truck for my living room! Had to wait a day for them to send an empty truck, when they got there they said it would be 3x the original quoted price! After loading my belongings on one truck, they were then reloaded onto another trailer for the actual move. Boxes were smashed, and items broken. They couldn't tell me how long the delivery trip would take, anywhere from 5-10 days! This is to go only 1000 miles. They sent only two guys to unload, so rather than watch them work through the night, I had to go take things out of the truck myself! the workers were all nice and polite, but the office staff and management are worthless scam artists. Like another review seen here, I won't get the value for the items they broke. The driver sneaks in a form to initial telling you it's just to confirm they delivered your stuff. It's actually saying you wont get the full value of anything they broke, just $0.60 per lb! My garden edger was destroyed, a $200 piece of equipment will get me about $5! I left a handful of voice mails and emails throughout the process and never received a single call back. Do NOT use this company! read more

Workers were nice, didnt move too quick though and I helped them load, and had already boxed everything up before they got there. They did try hard though. The price was insane, was quoted about $600, the move was a 2 bedroom apartment 3 miles down the road to another 2 bedroom apartment. Took about 6 hours in all, they ended up charging me for 7 hours (including an extra half hour after they left, and a total charge of almost $2,200 showed up on my credit card 2 days later. I've moved twice across the country with moving services and paid less then this. My stuff went from Best Cross Country Movers, to Moving Kings, to American Logistic, to some other random company called Up Front Movers to Rigos moving. Why? who knows. I never authorized my stuff to be handled by a 5th party. Apparently, as the contract moves along one subcontractor to another they just keep altering the agreement which is completely illegal. if I could give this company negative stars, I would, one star is too generous. severe damage to my apartment door from a cart that the movers just casually smashed into with zero disregard. owner offered me $25 for approximately $1000 worth of damage including the door that I had to have replaced. I wish I would have read the yelp reviews before booking. It appears I am not the only one who had a horrible experience with an extremely unethical company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! We did not pick this company. Safeship turned out to be a broker and this is who they sent us. We were told our things would be in a temperature regulated warehouse. I found out when I called looking for missing items that our things had been left on a HOT semi for one month, from 4-25 through 5-25-23 The woman I spoke with said " well they can't be in the warehouse because your things never left the truck." At that point she realized she shouldn't have told me that and hung up. So much of our stuff was dried out, un glided but we couldn't figure out why until I was told about never having our things in a regulated temperature warehouse. On top of dried out wood , we had 23 glass items broken , the carpet cleaner, my bicycle had the rear tire off, I've had it to the bike shop and it's still not right. The leg was off of my curio cabinet, there are large chunks of wood missing from 2 old wood rockers, the very large almost new refrigerator doesn't work. It hardly gets cold, it worked perfectly in AZ. The truck driver was rude and nasty on top of all this. The items that we're missing were put in a large box, literally dropped in. 2 wood , painted wall shelves, a small table, 2 small Christmas trees and a copper kettle( antique) Safeship had assured us they would wrap all the furniture and wall shelves. We had everything else boxed. I swear they purposefully were extra rough with my boxes marked FRAGILE , almost all were crushed. I know I would be fighting a loosing battle to be reimbursed by Rigo's movers. I fought a month long battle with Safeship that did result in a small refund. Although the moving crews were very nice and hard-working, the business model stinks. I "contracted" through Safe Ship, which gave me an estimate of $7900 for a cross-country move of a 2400 sf home, which did not include any master bedroom furniture, large office suite, desks, kitchen table and chairs, outdoor furniture, barbecue, or the scores of boxes ot books and other items that were donated in the process of staging the house for sale. The estimate seemed high but not outrageous. Safe Ship selected Rigo's. I was recently widowed and incredibly busy and did not do my due diligence (or I would have discovered the terrible reviews). At any rate, the final cost was more than double the original amount, or $16,806.29, plus $1000 in tips for the workers at both ends. In return for this princely sum Rigos crew capsized their truck on our property, causing damage to the asphalt and lawn, gouged a track up the entirety of our staircase, and left an expensive home gym partially assembled. The crew chief promised that the company would send someone to assemble the gym, but after weeks of no word I contacted them and was informed that there were parts missing and they could not find anyone to do the task. They offered $350 in compensation on the condition that I release all claims and agree not to post any negative review. Since this did not even cover the cost of moving the gym I declined and submitted a claim. They denied the claim because the condition of the gym was not stated as a problem on the bill of lading. I feel abused by Safe Ship and Rigos, and would recommend that anyone considering these companies read the string of bad reviews carefully so they know what to expect. read more

They packed my furniture up nicely and delivered all my belongings to my apartment in perfect condition--no scratches, bumps, etc. They were helpful and accommodating as well. I have had the best experience working with Rigo's Delivery's Moving & Storage, they exceeded all expectations and taught me several things along the way. Mati is the best and her team of moving specialists communicated with us the whole time. This is impressive because the service was in state and all arrangements and connections were wonderfully executed out of state. So, again, if it is excellence and optimal customer service know that the calls stop here and you have reached your destination for selecting a prudent moving company, just like they will make sure all your belongings reach its' destination.
