Had them use two trucks to move our belongings 100 miles. Very efficient and respectful crew. We needed five guys for our move, which with two trucks was expensive - BUT... you get what you pay for and their efficiency meant it took less time which saved us money (cost was less than the estimate). These guys are the GOLD STANDARD of moving--and I don't say that lightly. I have felt completely taken care of the (3) times I did big moves with Russel's PLUS our storage experience. Very good communication from the start. Accurate and reasonable prices (given the market rate), but what's more is the service is top-notch! I've done both scenarios where Russel's packed boxes and moved them as well as just moved boxes I had packed. In both cases I picked up on immense professionalism and care. These guys really know what they're doing! I get the sense there is a training protocol before going into the field, which I appreciate. They're really paying attention even down to minor screws for the assembly of a four poster bed, etc. And care around corners. No scuff marks, etc. The billing is super clear. And the option to store is also a fair price and a really useful service. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I certainly plan to work with them on my next move and I'm grateful they exists!!! Movers review I hired Russels moving and storage for my home move. I was impressed by his sales team and in speaking with Russel as he spoke highly and regarded his team and company as the most affordable and the best in Los Angeles. His pricing needed to be negotiated as his initial estimate was too high for my 4 bedroom home. I was very disappointed to find out that he sent 4 men and one truck which was a huge problem as they had to do 3 trips in a 9 hour day to complete my move. I was extremely upset that several pieces of high end furniture was scraped and one of my leather couches had a small tear . I took the extra time to bubble wrap/ shrink wrap all my furniture They were careless, unprofessional and I even had to clean up blood from one of the movers as he cut his finger. The team that was sent was not what he described. They were not upscale and extremely slow. The foreman did very little and actually damaged my wall. Overall I keep finding more and more damage to my precious furniture and what made it all unsettling was that Russel wanted to charge me more the next day after already he had negotiated his final price. I would be reluctant to refer Russels moving. If you use this company please get upfront details on pricing and make sure you are vigilant of the movers. read more

Really great movers. They delivered a GIANT motorcycle bar to my house. They were sweet, friendly, efficient and helpful. Not only did they move the piece all over our house until we found the right place, they also moved around our other pieces of furniture to make room for the bar. Carlos was especially cool. My wife and I were VERY pleased with Russell and his team. We had a major house move from Los Angeles to out of state and these guys were very, very professional and precise. They packed up absolutely everything in a top-notch and organized way. They hustled to make sure we got everything out on time. There was a slight delay, but they more than made up for it on the other side of the move and just hustled to get everything right. All the boxes were put in the right rooms. They set up the beds, furniture and rugs beautifully. NO ATTITUDE. Just pure "what would you like" approach. I highly recommend Russells. I am glad that it worked out so well. We had a lot of things to coordinate for our move with various organizations, some of which worked out, some of which didn't. But Russells was definitely in the "worked out very well" column and made our move pleasant and workable. I also found the price reasonable. Look: they ain't the cheapest, but they certainly are not the most expensive, either. But my recommendation is to do it right: pay for a solid move. Earlier last week, I visited Russells Moving & Storage. Nothing short of impressive! Extremely clean! Their trucks look like they are off the showroom floor and speaking of floors, their indoor storage area was pristine! Very clean immaculate floors. It was an absolute delight to meet Russell himself. She helped us to get an estimate, quote, and scheduled the move all within 48 hours! The free quote was very fast and efficient and Russell worked within our budget. The move was just as easy and pleasant where the team packed us up carefully and quickly, stored our belongings for about a week, and promptly delivered them in CO. Super easy! In CO, Raphael was unbelievable and was fun to work with. He organized the unloading and organization of our belongings in our new place quickly and was super fun to chat with! Nothing ever changed in terms of the amount of furniture or personal belongings from move to move. Well, it's time to move again, and I called for an estimate to move the exact same stuff less than 3 miles away. The estimate was almost two and a half times as expensive as two years ago. The current house we're in is larger, so it may look like more, but the contents are EXACTLY the same. I called to ask Russell ( owner) to review the estimate and Tara ( front office) told me he had spoken with his estimators and was sticking by the quote. I just couldn't wrap my head around how the exact same move, two years later, was 2.5x more expensive. So, I wanted to put this addendum on the record. I dont normally write reviews but Russell's Moving and Storage deserved my time to share our experience. Fourteen years ago my wife's second parent passed away and she didnt have the emotional strength to deal with purging her mom and dad's life. Russell's was there to immaculately pack each and every item and safely take it to their storage facility. Their costs were extremely competitive and they lent emotional support every step of the way. Fast forward fourteen years and my wife finally decided to purge through and Russell's once again stepped up to the plate to make the process as easy as possible. I was amazed when I actually went to their facility to find such a wonderfully accommodating staff from the front office adminstrative team to the back team who assist in loading all the contents of our four containers full of my childhood life made the experience extremely positive and friendly. The facility was spotless and you could picnic and eat off the floors. The organization of the storage area was spectacular. They even have a bin for the salvation army for items you know you dont want to transport home. Their fleet of trucks is immaculate as well. I observed them waxing their vehicles as I was having our containers loaded for transport. Best of all was meeting the owner of Russell's himself. I asked if I got a gold watch for 14 years of loyalty. He did one better and delivered our last container to our home at no charge! Can't recommend a Moving and Storage Company as highly as this one. Moving is a horrific and exhausting task, but at least there is smart, kind and reasonable help. Total pro from the first contact. We de-cluttered to stage the house, they picked it up and put it in the truck in record time and stored it. 6 weeks later was the big move (half of it, anyway). They arrived at 0800, way earlier than my body likes. With their patience, humor, and can-do/will-do way, they put our belongings in a 20-foot truck - OH MY GOODNESS, they are amazing. EXCELLENT SERVICE!! when i contacted Russell's about my move, i spoke with a lovely young lady by the name of Monet; and thankfully, she was my contact start to finish. Monet was professional, warm & truly cares about her clients. The gentleman that came out to give the estimate was Eloy, he is an outstanding man!! Not only was his estimate fair (excellent price!!) and spot on; he works tirelessly to ensure you, the client are happy!! Thankfully Eloy was the foreman on our move which was completed over two days because we moved the house first then the 10x25 storage bin second. This was a HUGE job and I am a fanatic about things being done right.. luckily so is Eloy! These guys are fast AND they work SO hard AND they are careful. I am very thankful for these people. It was very hot both days that we moved earlier this week and these people could not have been more pleasant and accommodating to us. When they arrived, we had to jostle for parking , the truck was large and they maneuvered it easily (in the hills) at the various stops. They were dressed professionally (in uniforms) and they introduced themselves and got right to work. I live on a hill with LOTS of stairs. I needed to have some big furniture pieces and a refrigerator brought down and also other furniture and a different refrigerator brought back up the stairs. Elliot and Victor never complained about the stairs. They worked together so well to make sure they were the most efficient with the move. My move was very tricky because it involved combining two households, storing some items, and of course a long drive to Denver. The crews on both sides of the move were very professional, and worked very hard. They were on time on both sides too. The only negative I could give is that my estimate and final charges were pretty far apart, and I wasn't called first to discuss, they just charged my card.
