10-04-2024. Chicken sausage, olives and onions. Very good.

04-12-2021. The hot oil pizza is definitely worth a try. It adds a nice spicy zing to the pie and if you're up for the challenge, try ordering your pizza with the long hots. This style of pizza is reminiscent of a pizza joint that I've been to up in Connecticut by the name of Colony Pizza. I was pleasantly surprised when this place arrived on Long Island. They have a nice variety of toppings and have other standard pub type fare. The staff is super friendly and it felt good to dine out during the "pandemic". The bar area seemed pretty lively with positive vibes flowing. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.......now more than ever it's important to frequent places like this. Hope they keep up the great work because I'l be visiting again soon.

Good spot for a quick beer to watch a game but overall food experience mediocre at best. High expectations given fan fare and overall menu but pizza lacked flavor with crust being lackluster and overall pizza being very greasy. Clam Slice lacked tasteful clams vs dried-up chewy claims and hot oil pizza was just "okay", I certainly expected more based on similar slices in the past. Granted high expectations based on similar pizza experiences, I think this is a great spot for convenience and to catch a game but not worth going out of the way for a thin crust artistic pizza.

Came here the other day to try out the food. I had heard good things and wanted to try. It's not your average pizza place where you go up and get a slice but you can order a thin crust pie that is big enough for two people. The service here is good and it's much like any other pizzeria on the inside. They were playing sports which is a plus when you're also eating wings and drinking beer.

I drove by this places other location and got real excited about trying them. Restaurant is real nice with over a dozen TVs and probably a great place to catch a game and have some drinks with food. Our server was excellent and attentive. Although someone was scolding the bartender in the background for not being behind the bar and that was awkward and unnecessary. We were literally the only customers in the place. As for the pizza, very creative stuff, nice and thin. While I love thin pizza, these were both only ok in my opinion. I wish I would have went for the Hot Oil pizza. The regular I give a 6.5 out of 10 and the Nashville 7/10. I think the texture of the crust just isn't for me. I'd probably go back to try something different if the opportunity arises, but wouldn't go out of my way. 3.5 stars on food here and 4.5 on everything else.

This place look great, ithe inside did have a dive feel to it. The workers was very nice but I didn't stay long because I ordered to pick up. But the food was delicious. My workers really love the pizza.

Ask the Community - Riko's Pizza

Are the pizza dough pies purchased pre made and then they just add the sauce and toppings?

When will your Mineola location be opening?

Hi Jackie! We are showing for late June/early July! Thanks for the question!

What is the gluten free crust? Is it cauliflower or something else? Also, with more locations opening, will there be nutrition facts published for your menu items? Looking forward to trying the new location opening in Mineola. Thanks!

Hi Heather! We do have plans to publish nutritional info in the future! Our GF crust is a mix of rice flour, potato start and rice start. Please let us know if you have any other questions and we hope to serve you at our Mineola location!

Delivery guy was very respectful too, so that's always a plus in my book. For the pizza, I'll definitely say it's different. We ordered a plain cheese pie and a Sicilian with pepperoni. Both could have benefitted from being in the oven a bit longer- but really decent pizzas. The Sicilian was airy and the pepperoni was delicious. Sauce is a bit sweet for my liking, but it was definitely unlike any other I've had in the area (maybe ever). The plain was thin which is always a plus. I wouldn't say this is going to be my go to spot in the future, but it will definitely go in the rotation to change things up. Worth every penny and a nice switch up from my usual spot (which is franks pizza nearby).

Just wanted to use gift I was given since this is not my restaurant of choice. Now it's really not. I don't think this is customer service and anyway when I got their 20min later one of my hero's wasn't ready. They told me 15-20 mins. My friend wanted to try so we stopped in, I got the NY Style round and a Roman Styler Diavola (Hot Soppressata, Cherry Peppers, Mikes Hot Honey, Burrata). I wasn't expecting much, but was blown away. The Traditional NY Style was a 10 out of 10 - Crispy crust that still had some chew to it, flavorful sauce but not artificially sweet, savory Mozzarella, salty romano cheese and topped with fresh basil leaves. Delicious and the best I have had on Long Island. The Diavola Slice was also impressive. The flavor punch of the Cherry Peppers, Soppressata coupled with the sweetness of the hot honey were a perfect match for the fluffy roman crust. I definitely think the toppings matter with the roman style crust, if it too delicate then the crust overpowers the slice. Not with this, the Diavola gets a 9 out of 10 for a specialty slice. Great Pizza.

The place remains popular as it was quite busy for a weekday evening when I went in. Despite that, I ordered immediately, they move very quickly and the service was good + fast! According to one of the staff members, they're known for their buffalo chicken and bbq chicken slices. I ordered buffalo chicken, the Serra, and a regular pepperoni. The pepperoni was my favorite. The buffalo chicken slice was fairly decent considering I don't care for other buffalo chicken slices. It appeared to be popcorn chicken tossed in buffalo sauce and with a light drizzle of blue cheese dressing on top, so hard to mess up. Additionally the Serra was fine as well, possibly needing a boost in the flavors (or salt) since it was just sauce. It seems like a decent, casual place to sit in and grab a quick bite, they had some cocktails on the menu that looked interesting and I'll keep in mind for next time. Overall, I look forward to coming back and trying other items

Every time I visit I always grab a few pizzas to bring home and I always make sure to ask to upgrade to DOP ingredients. This place is as authentic as it gets. From the oven, which was imported from Naples, to the owner being a certified pizzaiolo, and the amount of DOP ingredients in use and available, there's a level of care and respect for Neapolitan pizza that you can taste in the each pizza. The ingredients are excellent, the crust is consistently great, the dough has the perfect chew , and nothing feels like an afterthought. Over the years they've grown in popularity and have added several new items on the menu, to include pizzas, but the ones that stay constant in my rotation are Moms, The Margareta (DOP), and the meatball with ricotta. For me, they make the best neopolitan pizza on Long Island. I also love that it's connected to the pork store next door. There's something about the whole setup that feels like a throwback to my childhood and the kind of Italian American places I grew up around that seem like there's so few of today. Going to Saverio's is more than just grabbing a pizza. There's whole experience has a warmth and authenticity to it that's increasingly hard to find...and while you're waiting for your pizza, going next door and buying some food, whether it's cold cuts, cheeses, or pasta is very much a part of the experience. First of all, I come in with a clipp coupon which is an incredible thing I highly suggest for everybody to look into the deals are incredible and the whole idea is to bring in brand-new customers which is what I was, this was my first time there a couple of weeks ago. I was really excited to try out this place, but yes, as many of the reviews say it's just a Pizzeria with some tables thrown inside. So it's not a fine dining restaurant by any chance but boy I can tell you from looking at the size of the menu and the outrageous prices you would have thought it was a five star restaurant!!! Seriously, many of the appetisers are in the $30 range, which is ridiculous- So when I walked in to pay the server who I assume is a waitress, maybe more, was named Maria and I see that she's been mentioned many times in the reviews so she's probably a regular there--- she seemed visibly disappointed and annoyed when I told her I have a clipp Certificate, to let people know who are not familiar. It's extremely similar to Groupon but much much better and much cheaper -- again the idea is to bring a new people although you can use it every time you go there which I have been told by people in the advertising business that the business owners actually hate this sort of thing because they actually lose money they're just taking a chance on bringing a new customers and introducing them to the business which could be beneficial in a long run So that was a turn off. Then I was told that I most likely wouldn't be able to use it because it's for Dine in only , however the one good thing is that somebody who apparently was the owner came over and told her basically to knock it off and stop worrying about that stuff and he said not a problem this time so I can say he was extremely nice and pleasant to speak with And that was nice of him to do that for me that one time if I do go back there at least I know moving forward that it's for dine in only and not takeaway- But the primary complaint here is I couldn't believe that my Dish was $37 and I was excited to try it out only to open it and find SEVEN Shrimp !!!! I mean they gotta be kidding me!! this dish is the shrimp or Renata of course you can see the thing that cost nothing which is pasta was packed to the brim.... Extremely disappointing, I was also purveying the pizzas and asking the prices and the prices were also a little bit ridiculous for a slice ... stuff look pretty good and the food tasted good but you gotta be kidding me for almost $40. I only got seven shrimp????? This is just another one of those restaurants that get over on the people... sad .
