Fresh guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream with a fine cut of marinated steak.

Sadly, the carne asada steak nachos has been off the menu for a few years now. It is still a lovely bar to mix and mingle with friends and the service is lovely. But I no longer crave coming here.

Black Bean Hummus with pickled veggies

Spent the night recently at the Hilton Phoenix Airport while in town visiting with a potential new client and as it was the 1st of several days that I would be away I was not looking to venture out so I took a chance and grabbed a bar top seat at the in-house restaurant and was pleasantly surprised! I was immediately greeted by Ashley's warm and welcoming smile. She was quick to bring me cold glass of water along with menus, pointing out the happy hour specials while offering up some recommendations. The restaurant filled up very soon thereafter at which time Ashley revealed her extraordinary talent! She remained engaged, friendly and super attentive, her service was on point. I ordered the black bean hummus with veggies as an appetizer which was light, tasty and very refreshing. For my main course, I went with the sirloin steak which was accompanied by mashed potatoes with gravy, roasted carrots and asparagus. The steak was well seasoned and the temperature (med/rare) was perfect. The accompanying sides were also deliciousand of great quality! I washed it all down with a well made Old Fashioned which was the icing on the cake. Overall, it was a great experience and I do plan to revisit on my next trip to Phoenix

    Cheeseburger and fries

Had a cheeseburger, took quite awhile to get it (around 20-30 mins) which seemed like a long time for just a burger. It looked great but tasted alright, for the $19 it costs, not impressed...the fries were the best part.

As always during my journeys I explore all types of dining. In this case, I tried a Hilton hotel bar & grille. Great news! The service was fantastic and a special shout out to Pat, our bar tender as he outstanding service is what a frequent traveler like me looks for especially when it's 110 degrees outside in lovely Phoenix . Let's talk food! I ordered a corn beef Ruben and much to my surprise, It was very very good. The serving was enormous as you can see from the picture and it had all the great elements of a good Ruben, the dressing was tasty. The marbled Ryebread was a perfect match, and the corned beef was not dry and was very juicy - Yummy. With that said in your near the airport, there was a great hotel bar - dining experience waiting as these folks are outstanding for travelers. Enjoy and bon appétit to all Ronn just Ronn The Hole in the wall food guy

    Street tacos.

Let's face it, the Phoenix Airport Hilton has a captive audience when it comes to food if you do not have a car. I had already turned in my rental, so really did not have a choice where to eat. Everyone working here is super nice! That's why Rimrock gets a 2nd star. The food here is abysmal. I took the chance and ordered the street tacos. Hey, I am in Arizona and street tacos are local fare, right? Nope. The street tacos had mushy watery chicken. I think it was from a can. Or they boiled tiny pieces? There was white meat and dark meat. They had a side dish of corn poured right out of the can without draining it. The bottom of the dish was filled with water and the corn was only mildly warm. I picked at two of them. Together with an ice tea cost was $22. Less than an hour later, I was having an msg reaction. I would not eat here again if I stay at the Hilton in the future.

First time here...The reviews were mixed. I decided to give it a try for myself. I ordered a bottled Michelob ultra and the cheeseburger. The beer was not very cold... on a scale from 1 to 10 I give it a 7. The burger was pretty and so were the sweet potato fries. Lee, my server was on top of everything; very attentive. I wish the menu was a little more diverse and not so pricey. Considering the feedback from nearby tables, they had a lot to work on in the kitchen; ie recipes and/or cooking techniques

    Hot brownies and ice cream

We were staying across the street so we decided that we would give the place a try despite reading some of the bad reviews. We're ordered the chips and salsa with guacamole and we are glad we did. The salsa was sort of a hybrid of commercial grade with some added roasted tomatoes so it was above average. The guacamole was very good and tasted freshly made with large chunks of avocados. The portions were large too. We skipped a main voice and went straight for dessert. It was a brownies with ice cream and chocolate drizzle. Very good. We had drinks, a house margarita and kiltlifter draft. The margarita was a deal at $6. Serves was good. Nothing exceptional but it was above average and food was good too

Pretty darn good hotel restaurant/bar. Football games on the TVs, strong drinks, and friendly service. We got our drinks in a reasonable time and our waitress returned often to check on us. Did I mention the drinks were great? The "free" appetizer we chose with our upgrade coupon from the hotel was the Chipotle Honey Wings...I love spicy and these were spicy. Too hot for my wife, hotter than a typical honey chipotle. I finished them all lol. Then came out our "10 inch" pizza, this thing was HUGE. The crust was good and the toppings (cheese, ham, pineapple) were fresh and plentiful. We had to take some pizza in a to go box. Prices decent, nice drink specials, and above par hotel food. Keep up the great work. Will return to eat again if we stay here in the future.

    Siracha salmon with market vegetables
    Africancrab A.

The siracha salmon could use a little more heat, if they are to continue calling it so. Siracha sauce is spicy hot, and my salmon despite tasting good was neither spicy nor not. The market vegetables hit the spot, but the French fries left a lot to be desired. I have this review a 4* because of the bar tender Katelyn who was very engaging and pleasant!

I was seated and never offered a drink by the waiters. Others seated next to me got drink orders as soon as they were seated. I then went to the bar to order the drink, and they told me they would deliver it to my seat. They never came. You really have to beg for service here. It's a shame they have QR codes at all the seats yet don't have the capability to just order your drinks delivered to the seat like the Chase Saphire lounge. The people working here spend way too much time trying to look busy and cleaning plates and silverware instead of actually seeking out to help people. The food is perfectly ok, just nothing special. Today they had BBQ chicken, spicy potatoes, chipotle hummus and crackers, cereal, and some cookies and donut holes. The BBQ chicken was the most edible. If you're a single traveler, expect to sit at the bar or in one of the private single seats which are nice. The tables are reserved for parties of 2 or more.

Also one of my drinks I had to send back. My apple martini tasted like soap. It was like they did clean the glass after giving a soap bath. No bueno. But, if you're looking for a really cool bar, KWSC is for you. I stopped by on a week day evening around 8:30 p.m. Located in Roosevelt Row, while there isn't parking, I found free parking on the street a few minutes away on foot. Ambiance (4.5/5): My type of spot. Dimly lit with a speakeasy vibe. There are eight or so seats at the bar, and the rest of your seating options consist of comfortable chairs and sofas. You'll see a lot of photos of people's bums on the walls lol. This is indeed part of the appeal. For free, if you would like, they will take a polaroid of your butt and memorialize you eternally on the walls. While I didn't do that, if that's up your alley, go for it. Service (2/5): This is the main area of improvement. After being seated, I was greeted promptly and got my first cocktail promptly. From there, things fell apart. I had to grab the bartender's attention to order my second drink and to close out. It was a week day and they weren't busy. And there were two bartenders. A lack of attentiveness. When I closed out, I noticed that the cocktails were both $2 more expensive than what was listed on the menu. When I inquired, I was told that the menus were outdated... umm what? If you're not going to re-print your menus, give people a heads-up when they arrive. I understand that most people won't notice, but this is deception. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet. If you're trying to eat here, all they have is snacks. The menu doesn't specify but I'm thinking it's probably chips or somethign like that. Drinks (4/5): A lengthy, and interesting, cocktail list. Similar to a speakeasy, you're going to see creativity and an interesting blend of flavors here. The most popular drink is Fuck Nazis. We're seeing a theme here. KWSC is an interesting spot. For various dollar amounts, you can get funny things outside of the polaroids of your bum. My first cocktail was great. My second one, a tiki drink, not so much. The menu said that there would be some flame action happening. It didn't. Just another example of the service falling short. Back then, the cocktails felt intentional and creative, not just rushed out for volume. The staff remembered regulars, conversations flowed naturally, and the whole place had this warm, eclectic energy that made you want to stay for hours. Even on busy nights, it somehow still felt personal. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, the vibe has changed quite a bit. The drinks just aren't as consistently good as they used to be, especially considering the prices now. Service feels far more transactional and impersonal, and the atmosphere that once made this place stand out has faded into something much more generic.
