Food is decent, Argentinian food is pretty rare to find, we definitely had a great time eating. However, do not bring groups here. It's super crowded during lunch and you pretty much guaranteed won't find any seating. The price is also a little high for the food. You'll need to order 2-3 items in order to have a full meal. My friends ordered 2 each and were not full after eating. Lastly, I guess maybe this is up to each individual's taste but I found the food to be fairly bland. Gotta admit something. I was super skeptical about finding an Argentinian Empanada place in the middle of Boulder, CO. Once you walk in, you'll realize how great this place truly is. Everything from their daily fresh-baked empanadas, to the friendly waitstaff, to their chocolate dessert or chimi churri sauce or salsa verde sauce or.... (get the point?) has been spot on fantastic. So fantastic, even, to come twice in two days. So fantastic that my colleague who recently returned from Argentina commented about it's authenticity. At $3 an empanada, it may seem pricey, but it's SO worth it. My personal favorite is the carne picante (spicy steak) because the filling is just so filled with goodness.Gaucho is also another must-try. I've tried a few of the chicken ones and I feel that they are a tad bit on the drier side, especially if you're going to start off eating the steak-based empanadas. I'd recommend 3 to get you satisfied, 4 if you want to be extremely full. Also, if you want to bring some home to heat up for later, you can request that they cook it 80% so when you heat it up for the remaining 20%, you'll be just as satisfied as if you had eaten it there. Sauce wise- i'd recommend the chimichurri or the salsa verde! Waitstaff is also extremely friendly. Another restaurant to add to my weekly rotation! read more

Quick, yummy and easy. Some of the empanadas were amazing, some lacked flavor. Order at the counter and get a number to sit. It can be tricky if the servers aren't able to clean off the tables in a timely manner. The last time we went a few different groups were confused about what was available for seating. This is a cute little hidden restaurant. We were just driving by and thought we should give it a try. I like trying new places as much as possible. They have a great patio and thought it would be a good day to sit outside. I was wanting to eat healthy so I chose the Chicken Chimichurri Salad and I wish I had caved in and had an empanada. My salad was ok, but I was looking at all the yummy food around me and wishing so bad I had chose differently. After all it is an empanada restaurant. So take my advice and don't be good. I liked that they had gluten free and vegan options. A restaurant that really seeks to make everyone happy is wonderful. Came here for a small lunch after I almost died hiking on the 1st/2nd Flatirons Trail lmao. Was super tired and bruised but I have to say that these empanadas really made up for it. We got here around 2pm on Saturday and it was packed! The line almost went out the door, but we might have caught the end of a rush, because there weren't too many people that ended up coming in after us. I ordered the Spicy Steak (Carne Picante) Empanada for $3.85 and got some chimichurri sauce with that. The empanada took around 15 minutes to come out, and is relatively modest in size, but it's 100% worth it. Soooo good; could have definitely eaten another one but we didn't want to ruin our appetites for dinner. I ended up not using the chimichurri sauce because the empanada had enough flavor by itself, so I would probably advise skipping salsa. So good. Definitely recommend!! read more

I love me some empanadas so when I found this place on yelp, I had to go. Empanadas are under $4 each. We ordered four and a drink for less than $18. The portions are not humongous so whoever said that must be joking! You can get about three or four bites! We had the gaucho, pollo de chorizo, pollo picante and the hongos. I really enjoyed these empanadas! They are very authentic and have great flavor. They're pretty small so definitely order more than one, unless you were only planning on snacking. Although they were delicious, I don't think I would come here for a full meal. Each empanada costs ~$3-$4 and I was still craving more after having 3 myself! The wait can sometimes be long and there's limited seating both indoors and outdoors. It's unique in that they sell many of their ingredients and other commonly used Argentinian spices, flour, and more on a rack to the right of the register. Many of the employees speak very little English, but they are very friendly and helpful if you don't know what you want! This place is soooo adorable, and the food is great as well. The quaint little shop has very warm, homey feel, and is decked out in primary colors. The empanadas fit the theme - very prettily made and prime comfort food. I'll admit I pigged out, but as it is my last week in Colorado, I realized I probably won't be coming here again in a long, long time and wanted to try everything. I had the hongos (mushroom), spicy chicken chorizo, the classic (steak, jalapeños, potato), and the spinach empanadas. I also had an alfajore and a cup of dulce de leche icecream. The spinach was alright, not super flavorful but Instagram-worthy in appearance. The classic was also just okay - well made, but the steak was kind of dry. The chicken chorizo was my second favorite, really spicy and flavorful. The hongos was the best one, juicy, earthy mushrooms encased by a golden, flaky crust. I dipped them in the spiciest salsa they had, which was delightfully hot. The alfajore was pretty yummy, but the dulce de leche icecream blew me away. This stuff is purely sinful. It's basically half ice cream, half DDL. Some of the dulce hardened at the bottom, creating this delicious, chewy caramel mass. Definitely get the icecream, but I recommend sharing. Less than half already had me KO'd. This place is definitely worth a try. It's guaranteed to put a smile on your face! read more

Holy moly was everything fabulous!!! Favorites included chorizo chicken, traditional, and spicy steak (#2 and #7 ate the only numbers we can recall). Two were enough, three if you're starving. Service was notable even though it's order at the counter! Best food in town, hands down. There is no "Boulder" food, but Rincon has the tastiest food around. All of their empanadas are to die for, and you will never be disappointed.
