    I would give this company more than 5 stars I I could! I called the owner, Rick, this morning with a last minute request. All I needed was for someone to load my portable storage. He came thru. But more importantly, great customer service on the phone. Lyle and Shawn worked hard, carefully, and quickly to get everything inside. They were both thorough and courteous. I am going to request them when I have to empty the container! Call Rick, Lyle, and Shawn for your moving needs!!!

    I look forward to moving now because I get to see Richard. Him and his team at Riptide have moved me personally twice, my aunt and my sister and her family. I recommend and tell EVERYONE who is moving ANYWHERE to reach out to Riptide Movers. They take really good care of and protect my furniture, pack the truck like genuses and are FAST! (Mostly because I always help and he wishes he could hire me jk) Richard has become like family. He cares about people, his workers, his clients, his family and his music.     Wow!! Rick worked magic. After a misunderstanding regarding time and schedule, Rick jumped to action and arrived to my house in 30 min with an assistant. We had two relocubes to load for our cross county move and we had a 3 bedroom 1.5 bathroom house to fit in it. Rick worked magic we can't even believe it. He fit all of our stuff into the relocubes even with leftover space!! He took meticulous care of our things and did everything in record time (under 2 hours). I wish Rick could be my mover for the rest of my life. After 7 cross county moves, I can say, with no hesitation Rick is the best in the business!! Thank you!!!!!

Angel and his work partner (Alex?) were fantastic. They moved me from an upstairs to a downstairs unit in 3.5 hours. I didn't lift a finger, and they only used one roll of shrink wrap. Professional and efficient. The Second Move (March 8th): 0/10 stars. I was moved into a storage unit by two men who were painfully slow and used excessive shrink wrap on items that didn't need it (like an ironing board). I had to help move half the items myself! It got so bad I had to call my 65-year-old mother to help. The two of us moved more than the "professionals" did. They wasted time using dollies for light items I could carry by hand, then refused to use them for heavy items, wasting even more time. One guy was constantly on his phone, and the other ignored my instructions to just get items off the truck so my mom and I could move the remaining items ourselves. It took 4.5 hours for HALF the work, and they charged me for two rolls of wrap. The "Service": I filed a complaint immediately, asking for a 2-hour credit and a refund for the extra shrink wrap. For the last 5 weeks, I have called nearly every day. Every time, I get a different excuse: "Juliana (the billing manager) is busy," "a task was escalated and Juliana will call you back today," or "we're switching systems." I am moving again this week, and despite being a repeat customer, I will NOT be using Best Fit Movers. They have had over a month to make this right and have chosen to ignore me instead. Save yourself the headache--if the move goes wrong, they will disappear on you!

I am leaving 4 stars because as I mentioned earlier it did take a really long time before hearing from anyone. Initially, the gal I spoke to was unable to resolve the matter and after she delivered the bad news (probably not her best delivery) heard nothing from her again although I asked for her manager to return my call. Truthfully, I am not sure what their damage control department allowed her to do, but at the end of the day Jesus came through. I appreciate his courage to call me back and make it right.

Our move with Best Fit Movers from Carlsbad to La Jolla turned into an exhausting, expensive nightmare involving damaged property, unprofessional behavior, and unauthorized charges. Major Issues We Experienced Movers were drinking beer and consuming edibles during the move. They unnecessarily repacked already-packed boxes into larger boxes, wasting space and increasing unknown, undisclosed material costs and extensive increased time. Boxes we had already sealed were reopened and excessively retaped without explanation. Furniture and inexpensive items were wrapped for hours despite us repeatedly asking them not to. Several items were damaged, including: A deep razor cut into our expensive dining room table Damage to an expensive art frame Damage to our buffet Small items were excessively shrink-wrapped, wasting materials and time. Heavy boxes clearly labeled for upstairs rooms were left in the garage because the crew did not want to move them. Two couches were also left in the garage after multiple instructions on where they belonged. No effort was made to protect the new home's flooring from dirt, water, or hand trucks. At the end of the move, they attempted to charge us nearly double the quoted amount. We were blindsided with almost $1,200 in "packing materials" charges despite already having nearly everything boxed ourselves. We were also told we were responsible for overtime and double-time labor charges -- something never disclosed beforehand. After paying cash, they still charged my credit card nearly $6,000 without authorization. What Happened We were quoted $239/hour cash pricing for: Two 27-foot trucks Three movers $75 fuel charge Double drive-time charge The crew arrived on time with four movers instead of three, which initially seemed like a positive. Early on, the foreman admitted no one from the company had visited the house beforehand and stated the move probably should have been scheduled over two days. We had 99% of our belongings packed and clearly labeled. We also provided specific loading instructions based on extensive prior moving experience and warehouse logistics knowledge. Those instructions were largely ignored. The crew repeatedly packed items we specifically told them not to touch, including landlord property set aside in the garage. They mixed unrelated items together randomly, including packing a desktop computer with automotive fluids. Things started efficiently but quickly deteriorated. After clearing the garage, productivity slowed dramatically. There was significant standing around, unnecessary repacking, and excessive wrapping of furniture we had specifically said did not require special treatment. The foreman spent nearly two hours wrapping and disassembling our dining room table to "protect" it -- only to cut deeply into it with a razor knife during unpacking. The Final Bill After a 15-hour move, much of our furniture and boxes were still left wrapped, misplaced, or dumped in the garage instead of the rooms clearly labeled for delivery. Then came payment. The crew attempted to charge us: Credit card pricing instead of the agreed cash rate Overtime and double-time labor fees never previously discussed Nearly $1,200 in packing material charges After arguing with dispatch and the foreman, we agreed to a final cash payment of $4,100 all-in, plus a $400 tip simply because it was late and we wanted the situation over. The next morning, Best Fit Movers charged my card nearly $6,000 anyway. We immediately disputed the charge with our bank and documented everything with photos, videos, and proof of payment. Final Warning We are now also dealing with damage claims, and communication from the company has already been poor and dismissive. If you decide to use Best Fit Movers, protect yourself: Take photos and videos throughout the move Get every quote and agreement in writing Closely monitor charges and receipts Watch how time and materials are used Do not assume verbal agreements will be honored In our experience, this was one of the worst.

They are a direct moving company, not brokers, and everything they promised was honored. They gave us a flat rate and there were no surprise fees, even though loading took much longer than originally estimated. Pickup and delivery were both punctual, and Sergei, the driver and lead, was there from start to finish overseeing the whole move. The crew was careful with wrapping, disassembling, transporting, and reassembling everything, even with a second-floor apartment, lots of stairs, and tight turns. Nothing was damaged. Maria and Liza in the office were patient with all my questions and very helpful. Alex handled the in-home estimate and explained the flat-rate setup clearly. In the end, the estimate was accurate and the terms discussed were honored. Sergei was truly a pleasure to work with and made us feel at ease throughout the move. Moving cross-country is stressful, but The Rock made the actual move feel smooth and trustworthy. I would absolutely recommend them.

    I would give zero if I could. We have had multiple moves with the military and this is the first…read moretime we have ever had DESTRUCTION, POOR COMMUNICATION and INEPTITUDE of this magnitude. We scheduled a cross country move out of a 1300 sq ft house for situational awareness. This company delivered our belongs weeks after they were contracted and scheduled to be delivered which displaced my husband, daughter and our dogs. The company stated that this delay would result in a comp of a measly $400 which of course DOESN'T cover the cost of the hotel. The rationale the dispatcher provided to my husband after waiting for 6 hours for the delivery was "We are busy". I will post an update after this matter is resolved. All of this after reaching out (we have phone records to prove this) weeks before with zero communication from the company despite attempts to confirm, and ensure readiness and planning for the final offload. We needed the items delivered to a condo and to a storage unit as our new house is being built. The truck finally arrives on the second date that we scheduled (after multiple back and forth communications trying to schedule deliveries while my husband was working) and you can see just some of the evidence of the care they took with our belongings. Containers opened or broken and missing lids that were present and intact when packed, broken boxes, discolored boxes (water damage? How? Why?), open boxes that were originally taped closed, heavily and obviously damaged furniture.... almost all items covered in black charcoal like dust... The list goes on and on. Many of the crushed boxes are rattling. So we had my husbands grandmothers crystal shattered, my grandmothers antique table sewing machine broken, a mattress soaked and stained brown ( was previously white), baseball cards and comic books that were previously in great if not immaculate and in protective sheets or original boxes and packaging condition that are now warped and damaged, and box after box of wet and ruined items in the back of the truck. Mind you this is what we found due to crushed and open boxes- nothing was unpacked yet.... 2 local guys were brought in to help with the offload process. The driver didn't help at all and despite what I would expect to be normal did not have any moving equipment or carpet runners to help with the offloading process. Clearly our move was contracted out to a random guy with a truck. To make matters even more sketchy the driver asked my husband to sign a limited liability form after he began documenting the damages and voiced his shock and displeasure. This happened well into the offloading process. When I called The company I only got a scheduler who 'couldn't' help. When the truck was finally unloaded the driver again had the nerve to try to force my husband into signing a limited liability form. After the damage we have see without unpacking 1 box are you serious!!!! I would highly recommend that you consider a company that takes care in packing, provides and takes pride in offering customer service and takes more steps to communicate with their customers.

This was not authorized nor was I advised. They full on lied when confronted. Having major issues getting my items released to a government authorized mover even tho I have paid all my storage costs to date. They were several hours late to scheduled time frame upon getting belongings back.

The day before the move I received a confirmation call. Dmitry and Andrei showed up on time with the big white truck. Our one bedroom/ one bath upstairs apartment had 65-70 boxes in addition to normal furniture. The destination for drop had an elevator. These guys worked non-stop and fast while carefully wrapping furniture with plastic and furniture pads. Boxes upon boxes were stacked and moved out. The guys were friendly and professional. This was not their first rodeo and it showed. They were on a mission! We led them to the destination and they efficiently brought everything into the new unit, unwrapped and placed all the contents of the former home. 4.25 hours later and the moving nightmare was completed. Everything appears to be in tip top shape. They even offered to have us look in the truck to be sure nothing was left behind. Thorough and again, professional. We didn't have to deal with "sticker shock" and unexpected up charges. We have no idea how these guys can do what they do but we thank them wholeheartedly. Tips were deserved. We read the Yelp reviews and they add up to our experience. We have already referred someone to them. We'd have zero reservations to refer anyone in the future!
