OMG this is a hiden gem! We went for restaurant week and holy smokes it was so wonderful! Usually the portions are tiny for price fix but NO they fed us!! I will start by saying: I definitely want to come back here! I've always passes Ristegio's but have never gone. The place is actually huge! It looks super super fancy from the road but honestly it has such a nice vibe to it. Not stuck up, but nice enough for a nice dinner date if wanted. Came with a total of 6 people. Got there early so decided to have a drink at the outside bar before our 7:15pm res. The outside bar is decently sized, and they have a HUGE patio with tables as well as some tall tables closer to the bar. Wait service is also outside. The bartenders were nice and quick to serve the drinks. Going inside, the host sat us at a round table (automatically a plus!). Our server was so sweet. She definitely enjoyed the ridiculous group we had. We listened to specials and ordered apps. Between all of us, we got lobster bisque (absolutely delicious. Will always order lobster/crab/seafood bisque at a nice restaurant if it's on the menu. Don't pass this one up!) raw clams on the half shell, raw oysters, avocado fries, tempura artichokes, and a sushi roll. Brother in law got that. Can't remember what the sushi roll was unfortunately. All of it was delicious, less the avocado fries. They were just way way too mushy. I'm not sure if that's how they're supposed to be? The raw seafood we got was awesome. Everything tasted extremely fresh. Would suggest getting items from the raw bar. Will not bore with major details of what everyone got. Two got the swordfish steak, two (including myself) got crab stuffed potato wrapped flounder, one for chicken francaise and one got Denver sirloin. The Flounder was just OK, but I regret not gettin something different. The flounder was wrapped in crispy potato strings I wound up cutting off. The sauce it was in was amazing. The side was julienned veggies, but half were still super crunchy and the other half was kinda soggy. I was told the swordfish was delicious, and so was the sirloin and the chicken. The chicken came with a risotto that was absolutely incredible. I wish they had a plate of just that! Only real bad thing: a beer the boyfriend got had a CHUNK of something in the cup. Not sure what it was. Looked like a chunk of lime maybe? Not sure if it was from the tap, but I think the cup may have had something on it that wasn't caught after it came out of the dishwasher. The server was great about it, took it immediately away, brought it to the bartender or manager, took it off the bill and brought a new fresh beer. Overall, would, and want to come back. I got a recommendation from my boss at work to try this Italian place. I had been very excited about this since on the island it's very hard to find authentic Italian, especially where I live. I came in with high hopes only for them to be crushed by a live band with overly loud music completely making me unable to hear my company of the night. On top of that the food itself was an absolute train wreck. It's the worst chicken Parm I've ever had in my 20 years of eating Italian food. Actually it's the worst Italian food I've ever had in my 20 years ever. The chicken was rubbery overly breaded and precooked. The marinara sauce was easily opened from a can and tossed onto the unsalted and lifeless linguine. I was so excited for this restaurant and now I'm going to go home and cry. They were basically out of all the dessert on the menu. I got the flourless cake.. don't recommend. Dined here on Christmas Eve with the family, big mistake! All entrees arrived barely lukewarm, Prime Ribs and Tenderloins that were ordered medium well arrived extremely rare. A Sea Bass entree was also sent back to be heated as it was served cold. When entrees were returned to us quite a bit later they were a) still not cooked to temperature and b) still not hot. Since we had dined here before we were looking forward the their mashed potatoes. What we were served were large chunks of potatoes surrounded by barely any creamy bland substance. Certainly not the delicious mashed potatoes they normally serve. We would have gladly brought this to the attention to one of our 2 servers but neither of them ever came close enough to our table again for us to get their attention. They were however quick to come to the table to present the check, never asking us why our meals were barely touched. We had to ask for to go containers - at these prices we were taking it home to salvage what we could! We didn't feel the service was up to fine dining standards, but it was a holiday and we tipped 30% bringing our total to just over $500. Not worth it at all - never again. We understand that most establishments during this time are understaffed and if this were the only issue we may have overlooked the less than great service but at the price point of this restaurant we could not overlook the lack of quality of the food. The food was VERY below average. The halibut was NOT halibut - it was very clearly COD. They were out of several menu items - we weren't told about them not being available until AFTER the kitchen notified the server. They charge a 4% surcharge on all checks - seems like a running scam and doesn't feel good. Prices are Manhattan, Michelin star level prices - food and service not remotely close to those levels. I dont know what happened to this restaurant. When it first opened it was so busy you needed a reservation. I used to dine here frequently. I recently went back and on a Friday it was completely dead. 2 tables were filled at 6:30. I walked in and there was no host up front. The bar was completely empty and the bartender just stood there looking at us. The host finally came up front after 5 minutes and I asked if I had a reservation which I did but clearly didn't need. I asked to sit outside because it was so cold in the dining room. We were seated, our server Michael, who was excellent, came and greeted us, took our drink order, drinks were great, and then the rest of our order. Completely over staffed for a dead night. 7 employees were standing by the bar and the inside bartender made several appearances as well. They were all congregating at the outside bar. One employee was sitting on a high top chair reading a book. The music was at a reasonable level until the female manager decided to crank it up with club music. I asked to have it lowered since I was sitting by the speaker. The manager came out shot me a dirty look and never lowered it. I asked Michael if he could lower it and he did. Our appetizer the meatballs came out very quick, and were luke warm. Our entrees: Shirt rib and chicken alfredo were just ok. The food declined significantly. I asked our server what happened to this place and he said Patchogue Main Street was the reason. Now im in the restaurant business for over 25 years and I own a consulting company, im not sold that it is Patchogue. I questioned his response to my question and he said well you know when things change people notice. Its a shame cause this place was my go to restaurant for so long. Between the music, the food, and the employees standing at the bar clearly having nothing to do was a huge eye opener. I hope this place turns itself around. My girlfriend asked me why is everyone standing around I feel like im being watched. I said well when your this slow what do you expect them to do when they are over staffed. Maybe a menu change, new management is in order, a conversation with the executive chef. The owners should really evaluate the kitchens recipe execution. When we left the outside bartender was smoking in the parking lot by the back entrance. Def not worth the 130.00 bill I paid for. We actually went a grabbed something to eat after we left somewhere else as we didn't finish our dinners. Ristegios, get it together! Hire someone to come and look at your operation and get an action plan going to increase foot traffic. Its a shame cause the place is beautiful. Ok so we were so 50/50 about this place ONLY because of the Yelp reviews. The menu was right up our alley so we tried it Anyway. We were a party of 7 girls! We came to drink AND eat. Let's start with the drinks.. wine was on point, Moscow's were delicious and espresso martini was phenomenal! Food was amazing. I got the steak tips and they were great! Also the avocado fries soooo good! We ordered sushi, crab cakes, clams, flat breads, sushi, and more sushi. They sushi was phenomenal. The flat bread needed a little sauce or something and clams needed a little less bread. But let me be clear.. food was bomb. Now for the place and people.. the place was gorgeous and a perfect place for a girls night out. We sat in a half circle booth and SOO sweet and cozy and perfect! The service was great! Our waitress was wonderful and our busser was AMAZING! He had so much personality and set the tone for the whole night! Our waitress broke a plate... but let's be serious it happens. Dreadful. We went here on New Years Eve ( i know, already a mistake) but we did the early seating at 7pm for our group of 10. First of all our waiter was awful..he started off friendly but then disappeared on us! The Busser kept our water glasses full as best she could, which was great, because the waiter only came to take drink orders ONCE (and, for the record, only one of us had ordered an alcoholic drink at that time). Busser woman, I wish the tip could have gone to you. It took an hour for us to get our apps. The Main course luke warm. The veggies were rubbery and the butter was already congealed on mine. I ordered the sea bass and, honestly, it was pretty good, temperatures aside. My sister and sister-in-law ordered the Prime Rib which was rubbery and tasteless. The whole night we watched at our waiter actually *waited* on the other tables. bringing them fresh utensils with each course and moving their meals along...but he would ignore our table like the plague. Of course, why bother putting any effort into a big table when you know the gratuity will already be attached at the end, right? When desserts came (we are talking 10:15pmish by now) he didn't even ask anyone if they wanted coffee or tea beforehand. One of the attendants passed out the dessert as he assisted and tried to breeze by. My Step-mother said "excuse me, do you think we could have some coffee?" and, almost annoyed, he said "coffee? sure, just one, right?" and then we started taking our own coffee numbers from the table to tell him. I hope you didn't want tea or espresso because he didn't even stick around to let you get the words out. THe coffee came when the desserts were done and we sat there for another half hour waiting for anyone to come back..at least with the check. We watched other tables change over and we watched at our dirty dishes stayed in front of us. At 10:45pm my sister had to physically go up, find the waiter and ask for the check. Of course, the waiter took home a nice hefty sum at the end of the night for doing fuck all, but at least we got to finally get out of there. After all that...almost 4 hours in a restaurant on a 3 course meal (app, dinner, dessert), where we had to ration our water supply and actively flag down the waiter to get a flake of attention. I was given good reviews going in but I have left with such a sour taste in my mouth that we will not be returning. read more

Nice atmosphere, very good food, but the bartenders need a lot of help. It's almost impossible to get a drink! I walked in a little late for a party, and decided to get a beer at the bar before heading to the table. The female bartender was very busy talking to customers and couldn't be bothered to look around and see if anyone needed s drink. The older gentleman was looking very lost and had no idea how much the beer I was finally able to order from him cost. I threw down a $10 and headed to the table. After dinner we went to the dance floor (the band was a lot of fun). Once again , it was almost impossible for our party to get the attention of a bartender. It's a shame, the bar could have rang up much more $. We finally decided to hit Main Street, and see if we could get a few drinks there. It's a shame that a party of about 24 needs to leave because they can't get served! Oh well, I hope they figure it out, because it's a nice restaurant, and the food was great! read more

Hidden Gem! Beautiful beautiful Restaurant! Big open bar, beautiful decor, comfortable seating. The service was like the service you'd get at Tellers or insignia... professional, courteous, super attentive. The cocktails... wow. Found my new favorite the "Pear Martini" ... Delicious! We ordered three special sushi rolls, crab salad, the crab cakes, and the burrata. Best crab cake , definitely makes top three of all time. The salmon was ordered, and I had the veal bolognese. Incredible. 5 stars all the way. Was recommended by a friend to try this spot and I was noot disappointed. Thank you for an amazing night! read more

To start, I want to say that my previous review from prior to the pandemic should be read first, as this venue was one of our favorite places to dine and dance. We made reservations several days in advance for dining on Friday June 3rd 2022 @ 7pm, with friends. It was immediately obvious that reservations were unnecessary, as the restaurant, as well as the bar area was empty, something we had not seen in the past. The wine my wife preferred was no longer on their list, so she asked to sample two similar brands, as she wished to order a bottle. After some time waiting, the waiter came back stating that one bottle was available, although the other was only available by the glass. She ordered the bottle and was asked to read the number of the wine she had selected from the menu. Something we have never experienced. Appetizers: **GRILLED OCTOPUS**, Marinated octopus /tom confit /garlic/ kalamata olives $24 (NOW VIEWING THE ONLINE MENU, THE PRICE IS $18 !!!!!!) **MAMA'S MEATBALLS**, ricotta / parma / marinara $14 (Same price website and menu) We found both the octopus and meatballs to be average at best. **APPLE ARUGULA SALADS, Baby arugula / dried cranberries / almond / gorgonzola cheese / herb dressing. $14 (Same price website and menu) Very tasty The Entree's is where all four diners were flabbergasted to say the least. **CAST IRON SEARED JUMBO SEA SCALLOPS, Served over herbed risotto & vegetable $42 (NOW VIEWING THE ONLINE MENU, THE PRICE IS $36 !!!!!!) Virtually uneatable, as the amount of cheese melted into the risotto was overwhelming and to add to the cheese melt, added cheese was sliced and placed all over the plate. Additionally, the emulsified risotto tasted reheated. Upon scraping as much cheese off the scallops as possible, they tasted undercooked. There were two orders of this "cheese dish" and both diners rated them as terrible. **SHELLFISH RISOTTO, combination of various shellfish. $42 Once again, due to the enormity of cheese and emulsified risotto, another terrible dish. **10 OZ. PRIME ANGUS FILET MIGNON, served w/ roasted garlic mashed / grilled asparagus & shiitaki demi. $49 (NOW VIEWING THE ONLINE MENU, THE WEIGHT STATES 8oz, which it appeared to be) This entrée would have been good as the meat was tender, although it was ordered "medium", unfortunately it was overcooked "well done". We also ordered a side of spinach, which was immediately sent back as all agreed it was so bitter that it was uneatable. The service was nonexistent, as our waters were never refilled and additional drink order forgotten. After complaining, the waiter stated that we should have said something earlier, as they are short staffed and he worked in the city till 5am and got no sleep. We asked to speak with a manager and was told by the waiter that there was none. Then to add insult, we find out that there is a 3.9% fee for using a credit card, which is NOT on the website. We ask for a copy of the bill and were told that Ristegio's does NOT supply a copy of the bill. We could either have it texted or emailed. Upon supplying a Google disposable text number, I received a text containing the subtotal, non-cash fee and the tip. I asked for a copy of the "breakdown", what was actually ordered and billed. The waiter stated that Ristegio's does not provide a breakdown and ask why I wanted it. I asked how long he was employed there, to which he responded, since the beginning. I had to have them retrieve the breakdown and allow me to take a photo, as they didn't have a copy machine. Attached are two photos of the bill and the empty dining room with only four tables occupied. Needless to say, as weekly diners, unfortunately one of our favorite venues will never be patronized again. read more

On Thanksgiving Day, around 12pm, I decided completely last minute that I wanted to add a 1/2 tray of penne a la vodka to our Thanksgiving spread. I called about 11 places and all were closed. I looked up restaurants that were opened on Thanksgiving Day and Ristegio's came up. It was a long shot, but I asked if we could order a pasta tray to-go. I didn't think they would say yes, since they were opened for in-dining brunch/dinner, but they said yes without hesitation. They even said it would be ready in 10 minutes! I cannot thank Ristegio's enough for accompanying this last minute request. The pasta was completely delicious and flavorful and I was so appreciative of what they did. This place has a great decor and feel right from when You walk in. They have live music, a sushi bar this place is big and lively. The menu has nice selection we had really great expectations for this place.........first they sat us right in front of the band (way to loud couldn't hear the person next to you or the waiter) we had requested a table on the other side at the time of the reservation. We spoke to them and they moved us quickly so no problem (things happen) We had a group of 8 we ordered drinks took them over 20 mins for them to come and they some people in our party didn't receive theirs for over 30 mins. We ordered diner and apps two people in our party didn't receive theirs for quite a while after the rest of the party was finished and to make it worse one of us received cold soup. When the main course finally arrived most of the food was luke warm at best. One persons in our group received a very under cooked steak and when it came back from the kitchen it had part of it missing. Second round of drinks finally came also after another 35 min wait. The manager was informed and bought us a round of drinks (which was very nice) we ordered dessert all I can say is don't order the creme brulee. They icing on the cake for us though was after the bill came we had it waiting for the server to pick up and a large man came to the table and said you have to be out in five mins. Meanwhile if the service wasn't so slow and spotty we would have been out long before that. This place has potential to be a great restaurant but the kitchen staff and the wait staff are obviously running in two separate directions. Overall value for the price not worth the trip. read more

Extremely slow service, extremely loud live band. Steak come out well done and charred when I ordered medium rare, girlfriend asked for penne ala vodka and got spaghetti ala vodka. Multiple tables who arrived after us got their food first...we were only a table of 2, ridiculous. At the end of the night our waitress told us "I know you had bad service and an awful experience, sorry about that but if you come back next time I promise it will be better." So I watched this place go thru construction back before they opened. I remember telling my wife numerous times that we would be going to check this spot out the week they opened. Bad reviews from the opening week regretfully held us back. This past weekend some friends invited us to join at Ristegio's so we jumped on the offer. With such a large sushi offering, I figured this trip would be solely to try that side of the menu. I started with Yellowtail Jalapeno but asked for Tuna instead. Also tried the Pepper Tuna roll and Coconut Shrimp roll. Everything was delicious. Also tried their CR Cyclone cocktail which was really good. Service was 4-5 stars. Very attentive and on point. Ambiance was 4-5 stars. This place is worth checking out. Next time Ill venture towards the regular menu. read more

I was dying to try the place after watching the old pat n jims lot be torn up and rebuilt, bigger better and way more beautiful. I saw the menu online, heard mixed reviews, stopped in after work and met mother for some dinner to catch up. Made the reservation for three as I thought my girlfriend could make it but couldn't and when I got there the hostess rolled her eyes when I said the third wouldn't be there (seems an odd thing to be annoyed about especially as a lack luster, almost always absent from the stand, hostess. Valet always bothers me but it is what it is. That being said, I don't like the way they treat your car as if they just stole it off the lot and are going for a joy ride. Walking in it was packed and being cold out I had a light blazer that they kept hounding me to check (another odd thing to hound someone over in a place where everyone was wearing suit jackets and the like on a cold night. We got to the table and I had no idea what to order, the prices made me a little nervous to make sure I order the right thing I guess but I was just in one of those moods, the girl rolled her eyes after asking for water with lemon, that was the first sign I was in for some crappy service, and every question you'd ask the waitress shed roll her eyes more and more. After finally getting an answer to what size on the scallops were (U21) as she said I decided to just order those and the sushi roll. The scallops were fine but not perfect (yes I'm picky & especially that night as you can tell) and when you pay this much for a meal you can get quite regularly from a friendlier staff an awful lot of other places, I want perfect. Nothing here blew my away and the server never came back once the plates were on the table, even 10 minutes after we were done we hadn't seen our waitress and had to ask two others for our check. It was a busy night but they were well staffed, the staff wasn't well, they were just well staffed. I'd like to try out the menu but I doubt their execution would be good enough for me to return just to pay an exorbitant amount of money for really poor and downright rude service. I'm always polite especially to a waitress as I know the industry, and tip well regardless, so tipping that night sorta stunk as I don't feel she deserved even the full 20% on this overpriced experience. First time here. We don't like valet parking, and definitely no need for it here. We had 2 appetizers. First, the baked clams. Terrible. No clams, all paste. Second, Mama's meatballs. Delicious! My husband had the Denver steak with potato hash. He enjoyed it and the potato hash was delicious. I had the Seafood Pasta fra Diavolo. It was good, ordinary to any other restaurant. 2 observations. The food overall was good. When we received the check the waitress said do you have cash and I asked why? She said we are going to surcharge for a credit card nearly 4%. I didn't know what to say! Nearly a $500 meal surcharges and couldn't leave less than 20% for horrible service. I don't mind spending good money for excellent food and service but you can't have one or the other. But besides that, the salmon was dry and the Pasta Fra Diavolo was not spicy (my husband requested hot). I've been to this restaurant before with much better experiences. After my last visit last night I won't be back! We went for a friend's birthday (party of 10) they had a band playing. The place was totally maxed out. The service was horrific. It took over 45 minutes to get a drink...2 hours to get our apps! Half of our party weren't even asked what they wanted for dinner and wasn't served food! as for when the apps came out... the baked clams were totally burnt throughout! My friend ordered the crabmeat app that had nearly any crabmeat, the oysters were warm. I called the manager over who was nothing but nasty, rude and couldn't be bothered. I explained to him it took 45 minutes to get our first round of drinks (reservation was at 6:00) it was 8:00 when we finally got our apps which were burnt or not served properly! Since he had no regard the next time I spoke to the elder man who was the owner. He was actually 10 time's ruder! I shared with him all of my experiences from the night and he told me to pay the bill and I didn't have to come back!!! I was beyond appalled! The bill was over $1,000 which was without main entree's for 5 ppl including for the birthday girl! We will never return to this place!! Stay away! We had been to this restaurant often in the past, until their menu got tired. My husband saw a band playing a few weeks ago and checked the menu which turned out to finally have been updated. Food was very good as was the service. One week later, we returned. Food was just as good, however, we were overcharged by about $40 which unfortunately, my husband didn't notice at the time. I had written the restaurant, but they did not even respond. I would be very careful when you go there and when they use these tablets for your bill. Make sure you double check. We will probably not be back there because of this issue. read more

We came here for dinner figuring we'd stay to see our friend's band afterwards. I made a 7:30 reservation. No problem, it wasn't that crowded. We asked to sit by the fire since it was a bit chilly in the restaurant. We were told that table was reserved. They then tried to jam us between to other tables. We finally got moved to a decent location, or so we thought. Someone fiddled with the thermostat and suddenly we were sitting in a wind tunnel! After a half hour of asking for someone to please take care of it, they finally turned the fan off. By the way, 2 hours later and still no one sitting at the "reserved" table by the fire place. On to the food and service. The food was okay, not terrible but nothing that blew my mind and to justify the cost. The lobster bisque needed a bit more fat but it was good. The mussels in butter sauce were okay. It was missing something, just can't out my finger on it. The scallops were good, well cooked but needed more seasoning. The service was meh...our waiter was soooooo slow! Like I said, we arrived for a 7:30 reservation and at 9:30 we were just finishing up dessert. I've been here before and have had good food and good service. Maybe this was an off night. But I'm not sure I want to spend the money again to see if it gets better. read more

Here is a mixed bag of our impressions: Both the water and wine glasses smelled liked they'd been washed with a dirty sponge. The bread offered at the table was cold and stale. The balls of butter were cold and hard which was impossible to then spread on the bread. The buratta with mozzarella was okay but not exactly a home run for us. There was a carrot swirl on top of the mozzarella which was a very odd topping but pretty nonetheless. I ordered the sushi-- coconut shrimp roll and the sunset roll. I've had this combination at various other restaurants but this one completely missed the mark. Each piece was way too large and haphazardly put together. My husband had the apple martini which he appreciated. I had the Cabernet Sauvignon which was good except for the smell of dirty dish sponge permeating from the glass. Our waiter was the least experienced of the bunch. Couldn't handle carrying my husbands empty/dirty dish with my dish that still had lots of sushi left and which I asked to be wrapped up. The dirty dish ended up on top of my dish with the leftovers. He also did a bunch of awkward things which made it clear he wasn't experienced. Surprised they would assign an inexperienced waiter for a busy Saturday night. I've also never had a waiter ask how I wanted my sushi brought out. I got my first dish of sushi with the buratta which served as an appetizer. That seemed ridiculous considering that my sushi was obviously my entree. We had told the waiter that the buratta which was listed as an appetizer should come out first! It's an appetizer!! So it was completely unexpected when it came out with my first sushi roll. My husband did like the chicken francaise with cous cous risotto. In any event, the decor and the setup of the restaurant is perfect. Very warm, inviting yet trendy and modern. We left right before the band started playing at 930 pm (Saturday). It started to became crowded at this time for those waiting for the band to start. The blonde lady, perhaps a manager?, who greeted us when we arrived was also very helpful and accommodating. We were originally seated in the dining room but my husband wanted to sit near the band which was by the bar on the high tops. She understood and was able to quickly switch us. It was also helpful that we had made a reservation for 745 pm on a Saturday night and were seated right away. The dining room was crowded and a tiny bit loud so sitting closer to the bar was certainly the way to go. My husband didn't like the crowd which was a typical middle aged, Long Island Italian crowd. (He's Italian). They seemed fine to me so idk. We spent $116 for an appetizer, two entrees and two drinks each. The prices were reasonable in theory (if the food and service had been good). In sum, we will not be returning based on the mediocre food and waiter service. This was also about 40 minutes from home so not worth the trip to give it a second try. read more

We made valentines day reservations for 7:45 and weren't sat until 8:25, which I can understand working in food service maybe they underestimated or were understaffed. But I also called ahead specifically to make sure they didn't have a set valentines day menu, and they told me they didn't, which is why we chose to go here. Eventually, when we were sat they handed me a set menu, which I would have been fine paying the fixed price, however the entire menu was seafood, and I don't eat seafood. Luckily, my perfectly kind waiter was understanding as we left, but the manager and hostess' all watched us walkout minutes after being seated and didn't say a thing. When I went back to tell the hostess, they apologized and didn't get a manager or anything. The environment and ambiance was beautiful, and everyone else's food looked delicious, just wish I had gotten to eat myself. Ended up spending valentines day at applebees. read more

We went for my friend's birthday. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. Such a horrible food experience. My friend had 2 send her food back twice. She wound up with no dinner.. there was no offer 2 buy her a drink or compensate her in any way. Over priced and an added 22% gratuity 2 our bill. Food was ok, I don't recommend ordering any seafood.. however the gnocchi was very good) service was terrible! Waitress Katie was extremely unprofessional & rude. Bar service ridiculously slow.. 40 mins to get a drink at our table.. or instant service when we have up & went to the bar to get our drinks ourselves.. however the bartender didn't know there was a difference between club soda & tonic .. & if you don't appreciate tonic & have ever got a mouth full (3 times)you'll understand how dissatisfied I was! read more

One of the worst establishments on our Island. Staff very unprofessional & food is nothing to rave about. Ambiance is high ceilings with noise everywhere. Best thing there is vallet to get out quick if you know what I mean. read more

This venue was chosen to host my 35th High School reunion and, since I wanted to see old friends, I paid my $70 to go. The Valet guys seemed pretty nice when I arrived, and they allowed me--with no issues--to run back to my car to retrieve an item that I had forgot. Here's the thing: we get these bracelets, that actually say, "Happy Hour" on them, implying that I, along with members of my graduating class, would receive "Happy Hour" pricing on our drinks. This was not the case. In fact, the bartender on the outside patio (where i overpaid for my first drink) seemed oblivious to that detail. I thought perhaps the outside bar was not part of the deal. Lesson learned, right? Well... the buffet is served, and the food is OK. not great. Just OK. the chicken was a little dry, but not too bad, and the pasta salad was ok. but, to be honest, I could have gotten that anywhere for less than half that $70 I spent. The dessert was, well, underwhelming. It was almost like the food just met the bare minimum in quality and flavor, and there was no attempt to "wow" the tastebuds. Again, not the end of the world, but "Meh." But, screw it. I'm having a good time chatting it up with old friends, so I go to the bar inside to get a drink. Lo and behold, FULL pricing on the drinks, regardless of wrist band. When I mean FULL, I'm talking "sell one of my children" full. Considering it's illegal to do so (at least in NY State), I deftly switched to drinking seltzer the rest of the night. When I questioned the bartender inside, he simply replied, "Sorry. No Happy Hour." This flew in the face of that lovely "Happy Hour" band I was sporting... Moving along... So it's near closing time, and people are starting to switch to non-alcoholic drinks. I overheard another alum ask for a soda (Coke). The bartender behind the bar replied "3 dollars." My friend then asked why that was so. The reply (quite rudely, I may add) "The party is over." Our understanding is that the soda was free. Apparently, management saw an opportunity to collect as much money as possible from a captive audience. In the end, that was my (as well as many others') take-away from this. Not cool. I hope that our 40th Anniversary will be at a more agreeable venue. FULL DISCLOSURE: I have not actually eaten a full sit-down meal here. However, I'm less inclined to do so after such a mediocre experience. For me to drive out from Huntington, the place would need to elevate my dining experience. Instead, it served more like a drab backdrop on an otherwise lovely evening. read more

By far..... One of my favorite spots for a good time with a working crowd. Live band plays to create a mood and the drinks are delicious. I did want to share that I had by far the BEST seafood salad of my life. If you love sushimi, you will love this salad. The soy ginger dressing is out of this world and the fish taste beyond fresh! This salad is so good that I ordered 2!!!! A must try! Seafood salad.. Check the picture out. The white wine was a great pair for this! Only giving two stars towards the restaurant and it's food, although my server, I believe Christian was his name, would receive all 5 stars and did an outstanding job! He had a great sense of humor and was very attentive to my family and I this past Friday night. He made sure we were all satisfied with our meals although my chicken parm was a atrocious. I barely touched it, the chicken had a rubber texture and the sauce tasted like it was from a school cafeteria. Would NOT consider this a five star restaurant at all ! read more
