    Chicken tacos and chicken burritos
    Kristy B.

My mistake, I ordered again through Uber so I couldn't check my order. The chicken burritos are buy one get one and so are the chicken tacos. We ordered both. I asked for 6 salsas, 2 for each burrito and 1 for each taco. We ended up with only 1 half empty because it leaked in the bag. The chicken was extremely dry and had we got the sauce we asked for it would have helped. If you ask for no onions you also don't get tomato or cilantro. No more chances with this location.

I absolutely hate giving 1 stars to businesses, but I have to communicate this for anyone with an allergen: REVIEW YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!! Rivas has always been a good place to order food from, I think they genuinely are a good to-go Mexican option... but they've done this to me twice at 2 different locations... once at pyramid and once now here. I enjoy the food, which is why I've ordered from them, 4 times, I tried it again only to be disappointed... I don't think I'll order from them again. I ordered Carnitas fries, and an al pastor taco. I communicated "no avocado or guac on anything please as I'm allergic to avocado"... fortunately for me, I've been doing allergy training, otherwise I could have died from this allergen if it were as bad as it was over a year ago. It's not fair, nor is it right to the business to communicate this to the community through Yelp, but when you tell a person taking your order that you have a food allergen, and the allergen is in your food!? Then you also leave a tip when you're getting your take out order, and then have them confirm that there's no avocado and just trusting your food.... But they put it in the direct middle of the dish.... So you eat around it and find it in there.... Simply disappointing and just can't trust this business after this experience. It's just a bad look and I've uploaded the picture as proof, but this is just disappointing. I ate the food, so I won't ask for a refund, but I'm just glad that my allergen is better and nothing bad came of this. Please be considerate to your clients, you're growing in Reno/Sparks and I just feel like your staff didn't care to listen to someone who communicated an allergen to them. Taco gets a 4/5, and fries do as well, but this experience was just not right.

Horrible pastor burrito and all the meat has been cooked so much it tastes like the burnt stuff on the grill after making a meal, I can't begin to describe how adult this 16 dolllar burrito tastes. Honestly I want my money back but I'm not going back there, and definitely not going back to eat anything ever again. Yuck

We love coming here this is the first time we went to the one in Sparks off of McCarran I feel like it wasn't as good as the other one off of pyramid Highway but it was okay the food is still pretty good but I feel like it isn't just a little bit different so I'm sticking with the one off a pyramid way the service was fast but not as friendly.

8/13/2023 So glad to be passing by and there's a drive thru! Big menu and lots of choices.. Went with the Sunday special- cheese enchilada, rice and beans.. Enchilada was good with sauce and tasty beans.. rice was moist but not too much seasoning.. Also a steak burrito-good steak and not chewy..decent size for the price.. Got some chips and salsa- but the salsa was more like hot sauce .. still good.. Would I come back?- most definitely!

    Pastor Quesadilla

We stayed at Western Village and after a concert at the Nugget last night we were starving. It was late and not a lot of places open. Searched Yelp and this newer spot popped up. Oh my goodness- it was SO good!! We opted to do the drive thru and take it back to the hotel less than 5 min drive away. He got the steak burrito which he ate before I could get a picture. He said it was fantastic! I got the pastor quesadilla, which I rarely ever order - my go to item are street tacos, but wow, it was filled with delicious pastor and yummy cheese. It was MASSIVE! The salsas were super fresh and flavorful too :) They have a huge menu, and next time we are staying in Sparks craving Mexican food, we will definitely go back.

Chicken and beef rolled tacos ala carte

The rolled tacos were delicious and were prepared quickly. The cashier was friendly and helpful since it was our first time at Rivas.

Cruising the city and had to try Rivas Real Mexican Grill. Located in a former Wienerschitzle, Rivas was pleasantly surprised with a great experience. Rivas has a very diverse menu with everything you can think of; tacos, burritos, menudo, posole etc. Our group tried several item but their signature dish is their steak fries. For those who are found of nachos, Rivas raise the bar with their version of traditional nachos, but with hot fries instead of chips. Prices were very reasonable and generous portions. Restaurant was very clean and tables were clean frequently. Great experience and highly recommend!

    Carne Asada fries
    Deanna L.

The new kid in the neighborhood has excellent food and a twenty-four hour drive thru. The carne asada fries were absolutely loaded with toppings, but you definitely need to give them a stir. We also ordered a pastor torta. The meat was tender The sandwich was so flavorful, but the bread got sogging. Lastly, the California burrito. It was also quite tasty, but not as good as the other items. Overall, they are quite good. The drive-thru time was reasonable for actually making food. I was put off by the question or cash or card. In 2023, who carries cash. I am assuming the menu prices are the prices, and that I wasn't charged more for using my card, but no receipt was given to verify that. Maybe a discount is given if you pay cash. The next time we visit, we will be going in to check out the interior and salsas.

I ordered a steak fajita combo and the fajitas were 60% fat. I probably only got 3 good pieces of steak. I paid for meat not burnt fat

I traveled the USA and Canada for many years playing Sax with lots of bands (www.RickMetz.com) and the only choice I had was wherever the band vehicle stopped. Usually, we were under time constraints and we got the quickest thing available. I never liked it... But, if there was a little extra time available, I'd try to find a "real" restaurant in the vicinity to eat at. Didn't happen as often as I would've liked, but I made do. I've tried multitudes of fast food places because of those circumstances...nothing was really to my liking...especially the "major" fast food chains...you know which ones I'm referring to. Then I tried In N Out while touring through California!! OMG! I loved it! Smiling, friendly employees, clean establishments, great customer service...and still fast. (Pro tip: if the drive thru is jam packed? Park and go inside) Always made fresh and to order... Once I learned the "secret menu", that was the kicker for me! (https://www.in-n-out.com/menu/not-so-secret-menu) To be able to customize my burger in any way I wanted it at a "fast food" restaurant? Blew my mind! This is the ONLY "fast food" that I'll seek out... There's lots of debate as to their fries and their shakes. I like the shakes, but only get one once in a while...not a fan of the fries...but, I don't eat a lot of fries anyway... My go to? 2x3, Animal style, no pickles, no tomatoes, add hot peppers. Always delicious! Even though the price has increased over the years, I still feel that it's well worth it. You should try it to see what YOU think!

The owner of Ruby Shake Shop routinely parks his Audi in the limited public street parking spaces along South Virginia Street directly in front of Raising Cane's, Ike's Love & Sandwiches, and the surrounding businesses. Anyone familiar with this area knows parking can already be difficult, especially during peak hours when people are trying to grab lunch, pick up an order, or make a quick stop. What makes this particularly frustrating is that these spaces appear to be occupied for extended periods of time, often throughout the day, by someone who owns and operates a nearby business. Public street parking in a busy commercial corridor is a shared resource intended to serve customers and visitors, not to function as a personal parking space for a single business owner. This review is not a reflection of the products or service at Ruby Shake Shop. It is simply feedback regarding what appears to be an extremely inconsiderate use of limited public parking in an area where parking availability already impacts customers and neighboring businesses.

But then I'd have to start over at the next closest TB and fight over the $14, so I stayed. Friday nights meant pulling into a stall, hanging out with friends or going on a date, and getting that unmistakable drink in the iconic cup, a burger wrapped in the silver Sonic paper, and hot, crispy fries. It wasn't just a meal it was an experience. Unfortunately, this visit felt like that experience has been stripped away. The fries were cold, my drink came in a plain plastic cup instead of the classic Sonic cup, and my burger was tossed into a generic box instead of the familiar silver Sonic wrapper. Individually, those might seem like small details. But together, they're the very things that made Sonic feel like Sonic. Branding isn't just a logo it's the memories people attach to it. When you change all the little touches that generations grew up with, you lose part of what made the brand special.
