    Shrimp Quesadilla
    Candace V.

We had really attentive and enthusiastic customer service from the two young folks up front. I forgot people could look happy to be at work! The menu is so creative and so reasonably priced. I had the Surf and Turf fries and my husband had the shrimp quesadilla. The shrimp were good sized, and the quesadilla looked like half a pizza! My fries were also really good. My son had the Cheeto burrito with carne asada, and it was about the size of him! The decor has an overall cool and open vibe. Loved it.

Love that this place has a drive thru! We only venture to east EP once a week for an appointment, but we make sure to check this place out often! Everything is so fresh and filling, absolutely delicious. Definitely get the chips and gauc! Service is always fast and friendly. We usually do the drive thru and are in and out - but there is an inside if you'd like to dine in!

The food hot and fresh. The service very friendly and nice clean place. The flavors in the food is amazing!!!!

First time eating here and it was delicious! My son found them on tik tok. We ordered an agua de limonada, a regular hot coffee, machaca breakfast plate, chilequiles breakfast plate and 3 sausage and bacon burritos for the kids. Everything was delicious. The salsas were amazing. Can't wait to come back.. Everyone was nice and they had excellent customer service. Very comfortable and relaxing setting. Visiting from So. Cal and it was great. Pics don't do the food justice as we ate as soon as we were served!

Best Mexican food in El Paso!! Granted I'm partial to cali style Mexican food, but this place is a must do!!

I have tried to give this place multiple chances and at first it was a good place, but everytime I order something with carneasada in it I have to spit out the meat, it's either under cooked or the whole thing is just fat and gummy, it literally makes me nauseous. I won't be ordering again. I'm so disappointed because I cannot find any good Mexican food in El Paso this was supposed to be the spot.

I've got an update about my all-time favorite Cali-style taco spot, Rivas Taco Shop. It got sold a little while back, and let me tell you, things have definitely changed and not for the better. The hot sauce that I used to buy and take home? Well, it's just not the same anymore. It has become super bland and watery. It used to have this amazing flavor, but now it's just missing that special kick. I actually had to add salt to give the dish some flavor, everything was so bland. The pico de gallo was weirdly sweet, I think they added too many onions. I asked if they recently changed chefs but everyone is the same so I'm not sure if they changed the recipes. I know they added new items like fried pickles and street tacos. I'm really bummed out about this. Rivas was my go-to place for people who wanted to try out some legit Cali-style tacos and burritos, and the hot sauce was a major part of that whole experience. I can't recommend them anymore because I couldn't even finish this $8 plate. -TODOELPASO

Supreme Fries, refried Side Rice or Beans - 8 oz., and Supreme Fries
    Katie S.

This place has really friendly service and pretty great food! Their carnitas tacos were phenomenal would recommend getting that. The supreme fries were okay. The toppings were good but the fries were really soggy and just taste late great value fries so not my fave. The toppings were good though so maybe on rice or something it would be great. We also got the churros that were filled and they were very crunchy and delicious. The strawberry ones were better than the caramel ones in my opinion but both were great. The ambiance is chill and the people are nice. Would be great for a family lunch. Overall would recommend trying this place or using it as a family lunch or dinner spot.

As a visitor from Chicago and in town for a few days, I asked a friend where I could get some good food. He was quick to answer, "Rivas on Zaragoza". I tried their steak and eggs burrito with hot sauce on the side. Their menu was intricate, but the cashier was incredibly helpful, walking me through it, answering all my questions, and even suggesting his favorite. I trusted his recommendation, and he was spot on. The inside of the restaurant was clean and spacious, reminiscent of a popular Baja Cali/Mexi Cali spot on the West Coast, but with a distinct EPT twist. I also ordered the Carne Asada Fries, which were better than expected--quite a feat since my expectations were already high. This place is fantastic for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can swing by on Monday and Thursday nights to catch a game on their TVs, enjoy a draft beer, and savor some great food. Highly recommended! Check this place out. Come alone, with a friend, or with your family--either way, you won't be disappointed.

I got the crispy beef taco plate. The best tacos I've ever had in my life! I also had the crispy chicken and the carne Asada tacos - they were good but the beef and the hard shell really took it home. I'd fly back to El Paso just to eat here

This Cali girl has to give credit where credit is due. Rivas came through with the SoCal flavors and fill! I've ordered to-go twice. First time was a California burrito, which was pretty good. Second time Carne Asada fries without beans. I'm used to the cheese being on top, but hey it was present and it was on point. Probably the closest thing I'll find around here that reminds us of good 'ol Daygo! Tried a few bites of my honey's tacos too and they were also good. Can't go wrong with either (chicken or carne asada). I'll be back. It's our family go-to for quick Mexican food now. Check 'em out!

Supreme Quesadilla- this sucker is HUGE!

It was close to closing time so we ordered fast and got our chips and salsa quickly. Loved the homemade chips and that they were still warm. Salsa was ok. I liked my fajitas but I wasn't as blown away with the taste as my co-worker. I had a few pieces of meat that had grizzle when I bit into them. It wasn't as seasoned as I was hoping too. Beans and rice on the side are optional / modest extra charge - they are usually very good and worth adding if you're hungry enough. My favorite sauce is the Chipotle. It's got heat as it's also creamy...I would call it medium (I like spicy food.) If you're getting them to go, you might want the sauce and toppings on the side. They usually ask about that, but occasionally they might forget. Service is usually friendly and efficient even when they are busy. Your food is made to order, so it's fast but not instantaneous. Allow 5-10 minutes for pickup most of the time. The dining room is medium-sized. I would say it's a place to eat and go, not stay and linger.

While the food was never the primary…read morereason I returned, the excellent margaritas and outstanding service kept me coming back for nearly two decades. Unfortunately, that loyalty came to an end after a recent experience that was both disappointing and unacceptable. My family and I chose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Every guest paid separately, and there were no issues during the evening itself. However, as the event concluded, multiple attendees, including family members and in-laws, overheard servers making derogatory comments about our party. Among the remarks were that we were "ungrateful," "cheap," and "broke," along with other inappropriate comments that no customer should ever have to hear. I brought the matter to the attention of ownership, hoping for a meaningful resolution. While I was told the employees had been reprimanded, the proposed remedy was a $25 gift card. After nearly 18 years of patronage, the response felt dismissive and only added insult to injury. What disappoints me most is not simply the behavior of the staff, but the lack of accountability and concern shown afterward. This was a place I once considered a reliable and welcoming destination for family gatherings and celebrations. Sadly, that trust has been lost. As a result, I will no longer be returning or recommending this establishment to friends, family, or colleagues. Respect for customers should be a fundamental part of any hospitality business, and in this case, that standard was not met.

I actually poured some of the bean soup into a bowl so we could serve ourselves to avoid some spilling. The baked potatoes were generously bathed in butter. They did not provide any other toppings for the potatoes. Personally I think some sour cream, or Mexican crema de la Mesa, some chives, some other toppings would have been nice. The queso fundido was good but also a disappointment. It was missing the chorizo that I had paid extra for. The meat was very good. Well done but not dry or hard to chew. I was pleased to see that the chicken was not cooked into dryness. We did come across a couple of meat grisel or what in Spanish is called "nervio". I am pretty good with math and I pointed out to the cashier that they actually charge 4%. He did make a correction on my bill. Be ware of your bill. Otherwise they do give you plenty of food.
