Such a fun little spot for a bite to eat after a lovely walk on the beach. We chose River Deck as they are a pet friendly establishment (even a little menu for the doggos which was cool!) We got sat outside rather quickly and didn't have to wait long for our food. The Mahi Mahi sandwich was great, and the cheeseburger was definitely filling enough. Cool island music vibes as we watched the boats ride on by. Attentive service through out. Definitely recommend a visit. I will deduct one star, not because of the restaurant/service, or staff, but because of the mandatory valet parking that made no sense to me. There wasn't anything getting in the way of me parking my own car, but I had to hand the keys over and then tip the parking staff as I left. Enjoyable quick lunch at a bar and grill by the water. Valet only so park in the road if you want to avoid this. The Good: Chicken flat bread was tasty and spicy. This is a bar and grill by the water and a Budweiser crowd so if you don't expect too much and just want to have a good time by the bay, this is the place for you. VALET ONLY! You must valet your car to dine here. KIDS FRISBEE- every kids meal (between $5-$6) gets served on a frisbee for them to take home. We went to a nearby park afterwards and put it to good use. Chicken tender meal came with 5 tenders and a handful of fries. ALLIGATOR- taste like chicken! My kids are a fan. They even approved of the honey mustard dipping sauce that came with it. CALAMARI- the playing was beautiful with the seasoning spread out across the calamari and some banana peppers. It was a bit too chewy for us. Come here for the VIEW, not the food. The wings and alligator bites were good. Typical bar food. A place we have been to many times is slowly going downhill. When you can only say the drinks and valet parking are great, there is a big problem. Food from a tired menu is ok, not great. Music is so loud one has to yell to have a dinner conversation. And music played is not enjoyable dinner music. And the hostess with the color streaked hair enjoys her power plays. The ambience is very relaxed. Great place to see the sunset. The day was pretty cool. It did rain. Seating is outdoors on the deck where you can look out to the inland ocean water. They have string lights hanging in the canopy that you sit under. As far as food, not too bad. Dumbo was really thick to my liking. Gator bites were good. Baked oysters was ok. The best view you could ask for while eating a good lunch. Two ordered a burger & they really enjoyed their homemade Pattie's. They both got the Rasta sauce to dip on the side. They both really enjoyed the flavor. My sister got the Rasta chicken sandwich. She did eat it & enjoyed the flavor just said it was a little extra well done for her liking. Next time she's going for the wings. I had the Jamaican jerk chicken wings and I loved them. The sauce was perfect. The perfect bite to it. My Caesar salad was huge. I ate most of it though. You can't beat the view whenever you come to this restaurant! There's nothing more serene than eating right there on the water! (usually with views of manatees and dolphins!) Today I had the fish tacos, and my mom and her friend each had the fried fish sandwich (haddock). My tacos were delicious, but it would be nice if it was served with some lime to help brighten the heat.. My mother and her friend said the fish was good, but lamented that the fried fish is no longer crunchy, and they both did not enjoy that. Our server, Isaac, was wonderful and very attentive. I never had to flag him down to refill my drink, he was always right on it. He was also very honest on what we should and should not have (apparently they had gotten a wrong shipment of calamari from their distributor, and he told us to stay away from that as an appetizer because it isn't as good as what they usually have) I really appreciate that kind of honesty in a server. They have a full bar if you're into that kind of thing, and even live music! We always go here at least once whenever I visit my mother, and I would highly recommend you give it a try! read more

We decided to check this place out lunch. We arrived shortly after opening and spoke to the valet out front. The city requires the valet parking. It was quick and easy so no problems. Wait staff was nice and attentive. My husband ordered the white fish sandwich and I ordered the shrimp dinner. Both meals included fries and a rather tropical coleslaw slaw. I'll be honest, some of the previous reviews here made me hesitant to try the place. However, everything was great. The shrimp was fresh and delicious, the fish sandwich was a fresh flounder. Stopped in after renting a boat from their marina. The place is super cute, lots of outdoor seating w/ live music at the bar. We brought our two dogs and they were welcomed everywhere. We sat on the covered portion of the bar, they immediately came over with a dog water bowl. We ordered bayou oysters as an appetizer to split, they were delicious!!! Put them on a cracker with their own hot sauce, highly recommended. We ordered the grouper fish and chips, it was okay. I'm pretty sure the waitress forgot to order it as grouper, since it was a $10 up charge for the better fish. That could be why we wouldn't recommend it. Someone in our group ordered a burger, it was super greasy and below average. The atmosphere was perfect though, great place to end a beach day and watch the sunset. Date Night win! When we first pulled up after a huge rain storm the parking lot was flooded and I was hesitant on sitting on the outdoor bar side but I am so happy we did. The view was beautiful and the weather was perfect! We ordered a round of drinks and quickly ordered dinner, which was out surprisingly quick for how busy they were. The mahi sandwich was by far the best I've had in a long time and well worth the cost for the size of the fish. We also got a dozen oysters for $18 dollars which I thought was a great price. All in all well worth the money for a delicious dinner and an amazing view. Can't wait to bring our boys back to try this place. read more

Exactly what I would expect as an extension of the world's most famous Ocean Deck in Daytona Beach. Absolutely beautiful outdoor seating great menu, this place is going to be a huge hit. We arrived at around 2:30 on their first Saturday and the place was packed. 45 minute wait for a table, so we gave our cell number (they text you when your tables ready) and headed to the bar for a couple of cocktails while we waited. They seemed to be handling the crowd very well and tables were turning faster than they thought so we only waited 30 minutes. Rasta Chicken sandwich, calamari and some chowder and we were all set. Probably the worst restaurant experience I've had in a while. We came in with a party of 6 and sat at the bar and we all ordered one drink. We were waiting to order food and the bartender asked if we could be given away to a different table in another room. We moved to the other room and nobody greeted us at our new table for 25 minutes. Bartender was rude and clearly didn't want to serve us so we left without eating and starving. Don't come here Hi Connie, yes I'm sure it was your restaurant.. I understand that your restaurant is busy, half of the party I was with works in the service industry so we're very understanding but this was unacceptably terrible service. We were seated downstairs at the large bar and we were told we should move upstairs to a 4 top and the other members of our party were seated directly next to us at a separate table. They moved us extremely easily, I'm sure it was because the bartender was in a rush to get rid of us. We were in your restaurant from around 6:00-6:45. 4 stars because this view was absolutely stunning. If you're looking for a quick bite with amazing views, this is the place for you. We came before our boat tour and we got appetizers to split. The fried calamari was seasoned so deliciously with a bit of a kick, while the alligator bites lacked flavor and the wings could have been a little but crispier. Please note when coming here Valet is not an option, you must valet in order to eat here unless you walk. We wish we knew that ahead of time! There are two sides of the river deck, the dining side and the tiki bar/sandbar. Both options were nice and you could easily spend a few hours here whether it be for food, drinks, or to watch these amazing views. read more
