Spanish omllette with a side of bacon, hashbrown and biscuit and gravy.

It's a greasy spoon diner! What's not to love. The waitstaff is attentive and fast. The coffee comes hot and never runs out. The food is great. I've been many times and have always enjoyed breakfast here. Also. Be sure to get a cinnamon roll.......they melt a pad of butter on top....it's...literally amazing. Anyway. Back to the review. If your looking for an awesome breakfast, you can't go wrong. It does get busy in the morning, but never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table. Bar seating in the bar is first come first serve. Definitely worth a visit!

First of all this place is so amazing it's a little gem and a little town. This is me and my best friends go to place in the mornings the breakfast is amazing but today I had the "non-traditional club sandwich" so amazing bacon was crispy, the ham and turkey complemented the whole sandwich i recommend this sandwich. The service is amazing everyone is so helpful here. And everything is so clean. If you guys want a good country meal whether it be lunch, breakfast, or dinner it's all amazing. Thank you guys so much

My whole life I've loved breakfast food, and I never understood why. This cafe reminded me exactly why. I had the simplest meal consisting of fried eggs, hash browns, bacon and buttermilk pancakes, but it was the best breakfast I have had in a long time. I'm from California, so experiencing this Texas home cooked breakfast was revelatory. Plus, I felt right at home in this cafe, and they took care of me after quite a long road trip. I went two times on my trip. Thank you for taking care of me!

You NEED to experience a home-town cafe! The sooner the better. And when you do, this is the place to go! (Ask for Daniel) And make sure you leave some room for a cinnamon roll for dessert. I got the Original Burger. High quality, done right. At the table, we got breakfast for the kiddies, lunch for me, and dinner for the two adults. Everything was great. Staff was friendly; service was everything you'd expect from a classic cafe! Just do yourself a favor and head on over. This was my first time here; won't be my last!

I've been here before and thought I left a review, but I guess not.... I wanted breakfast so I drove the 20 minutes to try this place and it was well worth it... This was there biggest combo and after tax it was only $14. I got 3 eggs, smoked sausage, potatoes, and 2 pancakes. Let's start with the basic stuff. The eggs were cooked perfectly, but they're eggs so not much more could be done for over medium eggs. The meat choice I selected was the sausage, and instead of hashbrowns I got the potatoes. The potatoes are tasty and I didn't realize the smoked sausage would come with BBQ sauce, but those were quite tasty. The crazy part was the pancakes. Yes, I paid the extra dollar for chocolate chips in them, but they were massive and tasted very good. They were as big as the container they were in, and about 1/4 inch thick, as opposed to the thin pancakes you get everywhere. Overall all of this food for $14 is a really good deal and the other prices were exceptional as well.

If your looking for a Good hometown breakfast, this is your place. The food was fresh and served hot. I had the chicken fried steak which was perfect portion and breaded just right. My husband had the French toast and said it was also really good. The place was very clean and the waiters and waitresses were very friendly and made sure my husbands coffee was always topped off!

My "Southern" (Cheese Enchiladas) are awesome. Hot enough I took a break to post this review

Great little cafe! The were open on Easter so we popped in. They have a little bites menu dad got a 1/2 CFS from. I had some delicious cheese enchiladas

    Real maple syrup?

No. However, they offer a low sugar option.

Can anyone tell me if they serve turkey sausage and if real butter is offered, or just margarine? Thanks.

No turkey sausage but yes turkey bacon. Yes real whipped butter just ask they will bring you some. Have a great day

I've had the burger, side lobster mac and cheese, and the Hudson salad here, both of which were delicious. Their cocktails are always a hit, too. I love their French 75 and Lemon Drop martini. Huge plus that their martinis are half off during happy hour. The last time I visited, I arrived around 45 minutes after the rest of the party. Our server immediately noticed and greeted me, showing how attentive they are. The food also came out pretty quickly. The first time I came here though, they were a bit stingy to seat us at a booth during happy hour, but asides from that one experience, I have no complaints about this location. There's a decently sized parking lot available (though it can fill up), along with street parking. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Hudson House, especially at the FW location!

It's a breakfast spot with…read morea loyal following, a small footprint, and a wait that will test your commitment to eggs. Spoiler: it's worth it, with a few asterisks. First, the logistics. The space is cozy, which is a polite way of saying it is not built for large groups or people who like personal space. The wait can be substantial, and the indoor holding area is limited, if the weather is doing something dramatic, you'll want to know that before you commit. The real secret, which I discovered the hard way, is that you can join the waitlist online before you even leave the house. Life-changing information that arrived too late for us. Learn from my mistakes. Once seated, the coffee is hot, the iced tea is fresh, a surprisingly rare achievement at breakfast hours, and the menu has enough options to cause genuine decision paralysis. We ordered two Traditional Breakfasts, both over easy eggs, both crispy bacon. One arrived cooked to absolute perfection, eggs exactly as requested, bacon doing exactly what bacon is supposed to do. The other arrived with eggs cooked firmly over hard. Same table, same order, same server. How does this happen? It is one of breakfast's great unsolved mysteries. The breakfast potatoes, meanwhile, showed promise, well seasoned and flavorful, but arrived in a mixed state of doneness that required careful excavation to find the fully cooked ones. It was less of a side dish and more of an archaeological dig. The third order, the Tri-Fecta, came with a multigrain pancake the size of a small continent, which almost made up for the potato situation. And then there was the Million Dollar Bacon. We didn't order it. The table next to us did. I watched it arrive and I am still not over it. Order the Million Dollar Bacon. Do not make my mistake. Do not be me. First Watch is a solid breakfast spot with real upside, get on the waitlist before you leave home, order the bacon, and maybe double-check your eggs before your server walks away.

Went for the biscuits, but our very wise waitress, Adriana, warned us that the biscuits were made with lard. Well that knocked out a bunch or breakfast options. She was so sweet and actually went to the kitchen and marked the menu pointing out lard-free menu choices. On the menu. Using black ink dots. Above and beyond. So we regrouped our breakfast plans and went mainly vegetarian. The Herbivore was absolutely delicious! Antebellum cheese grits topped with garlicky kale, romanesco and a soft boiled egg. We added a second egg. Split with my hubby. So good!! My sister-in-law had the brioche French toast. French toast topped with honey better, fresh berries and pecan granola. Served with maple syrup. We started with the biscuits and cinnamon roll. I would recommend both. The biscuits came with a jam, honey and whipped butter. The cinnamon roll, which may look a bit underwhelming had a such a great crispy texture on the outside while still being fluffy on the inside. The icing wasn't too sweet and complimented the roll nicely. For the table, we had the pollo frito biscuit w/duck fat potatoes, Brisket Benedict w/okra and the Fixe Breakfast entree w/maple sausage and potatoes. The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy. The Fixe breakfast was great and the maple sausage was perfect. Our waitress was Adriana, she was great and very helpful. Overall we would definitely come back and look forward to trying dinner one night.
