We had a wonderful family meal here. Great food and friendly service!. The pizzas are outstanding! We tried BBQ chicken, pepperoni, ham and pineapple, and the often recommended pickle pizza. The hot pastrami and Philly steak sandwiches were tasty too. Make sure to ask about the off menu items like the hot turkey and pepper sandwich or the pickle pizza. This is definitely a hidden gem as it is tucked away where people would not pass by on their commute! This location features indoor seating only with short tables. It's best to order ahead as this is a popular place for lunch! I came here mainly to try the the Philly cheesesteak because I had heard how amazing it was and WOW, did it deliver !!! It's truly the best cheesesteak I've ever had and I wished I had ordered two. The owner James told me he makes the bread fresh and it truly sets it apart from others ! I also tried the supreme pizza, bread sticks with dipping sauce, turkey club sandwich, smash burger AND a secret menu item : butter cake with fresh berry compote and vanilla ice cream. This hidden Gem in Riverside is the best secret. The food and service is like a neighborhood restaurant. I have never had a bad meal here from pizza to smash burgers you have to experience the food magic that happens here. Of course it would've been nice to order their best rated items on the menu but we wanted to give the other items on the menu a try! 2 BTA s , cheesy breadsticks, and a margarita pizza with two fountain drinks. Plain and simple,, best Pizza I had to date. Fresh mozzarella and pepperoni yum. The classic red sauce was perfect not too sweet or overly seasoned. It was hot and delicious but, for $15 and some change, it would have been nice to have more than a sprinkling of the steak; you could clearly see and taste the mushrooms but the steak was sorely lacking. The crust was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside; it was tasty and the chipotle sauce was a nice touch to the pizza. I went to Rivercrust Deli this past Tuesday night as a first-time customer excited to try the Italian sub. I got there at 6:45 pm to find the doors locked. There was no indication online nor on the door that their hours had changed for the day. I knocked on the door because I saw an employee inside. I did not receive any acknowledgement, not even the courtesy to tell me they were closing early for the night. I knocked again and the employee went to the back and started texting on his phone. When I called the lady on the phone was very friendly and took my order with ease! The location of the shop is kinda hidden and I'll admit I got lost when gps said I had arrived. But after driving down just a little more down and there it is tucked in the corner. Inside is very clean with a few tables to sit at while you eat or wait for your order. The food was ready when I arrived and it was so hot that you can feel it through the box! The pizza has such an amazing flavor that made us eager to go back soon and try different topping combos. The breadsticks at first thought looked like they might lack a little flavor but I was wrong! Hands down one of the best Philly cheesesteaks I've ever had!! The meat was tender, the bread was fresh (I think they make it in house) and the chipotle mayo put it over the top!! We also ordered the Cobb salad and that was also delicious. This place knows what they are doing! Update... Went in for lunch today, and had the fantastic pastrami sandwich. It was delicious! I have been lucky enough to eat at Katz's and Sarge's in NYC, both legendary for their pastrami. This was on that level, and half the price. Pillowy roll that didn't disintegrate while eating, great lean but flavorful meat (and lots of it), and cheese melted over the top as the finishing touch.
