I have to admit, when I drove by this place initially just to see where it was, I was a little Leary about it. It's right on the edge of an industrial area by the River. But when we finally went in, I was very pleasantly surprised. It was very nice on the inside. It's not a huge place so I dont know how crowded it gets on the weekends. It's very clean and the waitress was friendly and attentive. I got the BBB(Big Biscuit Breakfast). Buttery Biscuits with sausage, eggs, and gravy on them with a side of potatoes. Very very delicious. The wait staff are very attentive and pleasant. The prices aren't bad. The environment is pleasant. This was my first time eating here, so my review is of course from one breakfast. The quality was good, but nothing stood out to me. I had the biscuits and gravy with potatoes egg and sausage. The sausage was good and the eggs of decent quality. I did not like the milk gravy. I prefer gravy with more oomph to it. In other words, maybe more pepper, sage or other spices. It was mostly tasteless. My wife had the special which was waffle, bacon, eggs and hash browns. She said the waffle was dense and possibly cooked a bit too long. She said the hash browns weren't bad either. I will come back again and give it another try. read more

My husband and I are obsessed with biscuits & gravy, so when we found this dinner we couldn't wait to try it out. It really hurts my heart to say they were terrible. The biscuits were super dense and the gravy was bland. my meal came with breakfast potatoes and I also ordered a side of bacon. Thankfully both of those items were delicious. My husband's meal came with eggs and sausage patties. He absolutely loved both. He said they were both perfect and delicious. Tried the Pork Tenderloin sandwich with fries on Sunday afternoon. A large portion served on perfectly toasted bun with cheese and lettuce, pickles, onion and tomato. The food quality is excellent, and at reasonable prices! If your looking for excellent service from cheerful staff, this is the place. When you get here the area doesn't look encouraging but don't let that dissuade you. It's just an industrial area. They have amazing food that's much better than a lot of other places. They have breakfast and lunch options, to along with daily specials. The prices are really good for what you get in quality and quantity. I'd recommend the country fried steak or anything with the gravy because it's outstanding. This has instantly become a regular stop for me now. Very quick update. I'm already a creature of habit here and got the 2x2x2x2 for breakfast again...I know, fail. BUT! I am a woman of my word, so I grabbed a half order of B&G to go. I snuck a bite before leaving and it was delicious! I dug in later in the day and it had the perfect G:B ratio and hit the spot. The gravy isn't chocked full of sausage bits, which is my personal preference, but if you like super chunky gravy this may disappoint. The biscuit even held up being in the fridge and reheating after several hours. Would highly recommend. read more

What a great little place! I had an hour to kill on the area, so did a Yelp search. It looked promising, so I headed there. Small, but inviting; very clean, too. A large quantity of good food for an incredible price. I had the Western Omelette - amazing! Good coffee, too. I would have never walked in this place without the reviews. It's not much to look at from the outside. We had a weekday lunch here at noon. There were plenty of tables. I imagine that is not the case for weekend brunch. The food was amazing. The pork tenderloin was my favorite from our party of 4. I shared a roast beef sandwich which was plenty. The beef was very tender. My brother got the chicken sandwich which he really enjoyed. He was given some of the buffalo sauce on the side and preferred the sandwich without it. The tamales were very good . They were served St. Louis style -smothered in chili, cheese and onion. My one complaint is they were warm but could have been warmer. Our server was attentive and friendly. This will be one of my go to diners in St. Louis. read more

Very long wait for food, 45 minutes. When it came, there was a black hair on the plate of my daughters French toast. The owner pretty much denied that could happen in their kitchen and said the hair was my daughter's. My daughter is 41 and mentally disabled, she wouldn't know anything about intentionally placing a hair on her plate to get a free meal. I was very disappointed about the disrespect and rudeness of the owner, manager whatever she was. And she was rude to us in front of the other patrons. Clearly not a place to take the mentally disabled.
