This place looks like it would be so good. They have big window tables for indoor/outdoor seating and a full bar. Their fryer was down so they had a sign saying expect delays. However, we were seated for over 17 minutes without waters. They didn't provide a kids menu so I'm not sure if this is the best place for kids. Their bathroom is a gender neutral (which is a plus) single stall. The door locked but it opened from the outside with a little push and the other two restrooms were labeled "employee only". I hope they figure the service out soon. I wi try this place again without kids when I can just order from the bar. Check back for updates. read more

Had high hopes they did not deliver. Got the Chicago style which was extremely dry. Ordered it supreme which had canned olives and mushrooms which I figured would have been fresh. The beer was localish and $8. They charged a "convenience fee" of $1.27 because I used my card. No where was that advertised and the server did not tell me when I paid with my card. Riverside doesn't take reservations; but was able to accommodate our party of (20) for a 1st Communion celebration. That aside, the food is always delicious & generous in portions. We've had ALOT off the menu: pizzas of course, the giant pretzel, meatballs & marinara, the bruschetta & so much more. The salads are HUGE (note they charge .50 cents a pop for extra Ranch; but it's a large amount). I wish I'd thought to take pics to post with this review; but all the food was devoured quite rapidly. The food here is amazing and the girl who took care of us (Morgan L) she was perfect!! Always checking in on us and making sure we had everything. However the reason I don't give it a 5 star is because of the little blonde white girl that stands at the front. When my boyfriend and I walked in, we weren't greeted by her at all. She actually seemed annoyed when we walked in. My boyfriend then proceeded to say hello and said it was two of us and we wanted a table. She ignored us. So when she said hello, I didn't acknowledge her. She then proceeded to get irritated by us ignoring her after she couldn't even do her simple job of greeting properly. Food and service was very good. We were looking forward to returning until I saw a Customer scoop ice from the restaurant's ice bin into three pitchers. He was there for an event and I was told he was not an employee and was in charge of karaoke that night. He scooped Ice cubes from the bin but some cubes landed on the counter where a patron had just left. This man then picked up the ice cubes with his bare hands and threw them in the large ice bin that staff use to serve customers. He may not be an employee, but because he was able to access the bins he should be trained in proper procedures. read more

Normally I would rate Riverside as a 5. But in a recent visit, we waited forever for our order. At first our waiter said the kitchen was backed up. At the one hour mark the manager came by and admitted that they forgot to make one of our pizzas and offered to cover one round of drinks. Nice. The bill came with just over half of one round of drinks credited. The manager said that added up to the cost of a pizza and was enough. So they managed to turn a negative into a positive and back to a negative. read more

Just a few things off this time though. The service definitely makes a huge impact weather you want to return again or not. And the service today was definitely not good. Our server Emilia was either having a bad day or just doesn't enjoy her job. She greeted us at the door, no smile, only asked how many, no hello. And every time she came to drop off something at the table she just set it down and walked off, occasionally asking if we need anything. After she dropped the check off, we prolly waited 15 mins before seeing her again. Idk, was very, unwelcoming.. and then the only other problem was I added chicken to my pasta and it was very plain and dry, pasta was way better without it. read more

This location sucks. Pretty hard to enjoy their food in the restaurant because everything takes forever. Drinks, food, and service are subpar, I wouldn't describe anything as quick here, ever at all. Ordering take out is even worse. If you ever manage to actually get someone to pick up the phone they're certain to have a bad attitude and if you try to order online there's about a 50/50 chance it'll be disabled. Recently came here twice, after not being here since it was bought / revamped a few years ago. Food was really good, bartenders were great and friendly - however - both times my order was messed up. They made it right quickly and with generous price adjustments, so I'm not upset, but that's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Both times I had chicken strips and Pizza. I've been driving by this place since it opened and finally decided to go in. I ended up being very disappointed. I asked twice to put the Blackhawks game. There was an effort but I was forced to watch it on my phone. The bartender was not attentive at all; she never checked how my food was and I had to ask the bar backs for everything. Monday nights are half-priced burgers. I finally got my hockey...puck that is: two dry-as-sawdust paddies. They tasted like they'd been sitting in a warming bin all night. The fries were undercooked. All finished plates were left on the bar for everyone to look at and enjoy. Awful. The ladies to my left had to ask for a forgotten cocktail twice and the couple to my right said they waited 45 minutes for their food. I paid my tab, tipped (against better judgement) and asked for a manager. The response to my whole story was "I'm sorry to hear that; I appreciate the feedback." That was it. I may at some point try to give this place a second chance but not for a while. Until then I will be eating at places with better food and service. read more

This is a decent place good food large portions at a reasonable price. Unfortunately in the restaurant business, it's hard to find good help young kids these days. Think it's easy to be a waitress. Riverside is my go to local spot for food or for drinks! It is set up great with a full menu with many different choices and 20 beers on tap. You can choose to sit in the bar area or certainly the dining area. They are most known for their pizza. (Tuesday is half price pizza!). Happy hour is during the week from 3-6pm. Tonight was my first time here. The five of us all went with different items and we got a pizza to go. We started the evening with Riverside nachos, which had waffle fries instead of chips, and came with the normal nacho toppings but also pot roast! Burgers were great (western burger & a "build your own"), and the bacon on them was super crisp without being burnt. My wife got honey mustard pretzel chicken salad and she loved that. My daughter had some amazing jumbo fried shrimp. The inside was super clean and well laid out. The staff was really friendly. If I had to say anything negative, it would be the parking lot BLOWS (obviously they can't do much about that since it's a strip mall) and the music was way too loud. We eventually stopped trying to talk to each other and just finished our meals and left. read more

This place is the best kept secret in Oswego. This is my third visit to this establishment and it did not disappoint. Some of my favorite reasons for attending this place is the quality of the food, service, and the price. When it comes to the quality of the food, the pizza and the wings are excellent. As a family of 4 we never finish a whole pizza. At our last visit, the entire 16 inch pizza was demolished. Secondly, the servers are really nice people and the quality of the service was excellent. Finally, we got a 16 inch pizza (with three toppings), sampler appetizer, and three alcoholic drinks and our bill was under 60 dollars. This is hard to find these days. This beautifully appointed, recently renovated full-service restaurant just opened and it is fabulous. The menu has something for everyone - pizza, sandwiches, pasta, appetizers, and salads. They have a great variety of beers on draft, and an even bigger selection of bottles and cans. They also have an extensive wine and cocktail selection. Plenty of TVs, pool tables, a nice bar area and plenty of tables and booths. They also have a private party room that you can reserve. I love this place and will return again and again. I was told by many to try this place out. Finally did today. Ordered the jalapeño poppers for appetizer. My entree was the grilled bruschetta sandwich with waffle fries and side of cheese sauce. Let's start with the poppers. All I can say they were amazing. Probably the best I've had. The cream cheese was so good. The waffle fries were perfect. The cheese sauce was ok. Didn't really taste that well. It had a sweet taste to it that I didn't care for. The sandwich. Well when it came it looked amazing. The bread was lightly toasted and that was perfect. The chicken was dry and bland. The shaved parmesan on top was good but too much. The balsamic glaze was ok. As far as the service goes and the reason I gave it the extra star. Laura was fantastic. Unfortunately when I got sat a huge table was sat as well, but she did great under pressure. So great job Laura!
