I purchased a Volkswagen ID4 at this location towards the end of July this year. My drive to work is almost one hour one away and wanted a vehicle without purchasing gas. The ID4 looked nice and has a decent range. After owning the vehicle for one week, I decided to wash it. A few days later on my way to work, I heard a loud brake squeal. I then realized it was my ID4. The brake squeal started to become excessive. I contacted the service department here in Riverside to set an appt for them to take a look at my concern. Esteban in the service department told me they will take a look at it and let me know what they found out. I was asked if my car was sitting in the sun. I thought, "What does this have to do with the brake squeal." I was also told by other service departments that it was normal to hear a brake squeal after it rains or it's been sitting in the sun. I thought to myself, "Why would Volkswagen sell a vehicle that produces a brake squeal if it sits in the sun or after it rains." Later that day, Esteban told me they could not duplicate the brake squeal and everything seemed to work fine. I took his word for it. I live almost 45 min away from this location. As soon as I got home, I heard the brake squeal again. I called Esteban again and had them set up another appt. I brought it back in and they gave me a loaner vehicle. Several days later, Esteban called me and told me they could not duplicate the problem again and said my car was perfect. I picked up my car and heard the brake squeal again. It was becoming extremely excessive. I was frustrated because I knew there was a problem with my car and the service department kept telling there was nothing wrong with it. The sad part is, I sent Esteban five videos where I recorded the brake squeal and it seems they meant nothing. I decided to set up an appt at the Volkswagen location in Murrieta since I live closer to that area. I dropped my car off there recently and asked the service department to do a ride along so I can show them the problem with the brake squeal. A technician rode along and he heard the brake squeal after driving for some time. Later that day they found out the brake pads were losing chunks on the outer edge, the rotors had heat spots and glaze, and there were issues with the calipers. The service advisor showed me the front left brake pads. I saw how chunks were missing on the outer edge and it was not smooth at all. All this time I knew there was a problem and the service department in Riverside Volkswagen could not properly address it. It is so sad I had to go to another location for the problem to be properly inspected. After I picked up my car from the Murrieta location, I decided to call the Riverside service department and spoke to Oscar the service manager. I was frustrated and told him what was found out with my car. He told me since they could not hear the brake squeal, there was no need to take it apart. I told him they should have taken it apart anyways to check it. I do not understand why they would not take the wheels off and properly take a look at the brakes anyways. This would have saved me from going there twice back and forth and dealing with this headache. I would definitely not be returning back to this location at all. I am completely dissatisfied with the service department in the Riverside location and do no trust they will properly care for the vehicle. read more

Andy, the sales rep was cool. However, his manager, Jon, was creepy and lowkey rude. Dismissed us almost immediately after showing one offer that didn't line up with the value. You'd think they want to sell cars, but he came out of nowhere, took over the conversation from Andy, and then made us feel hella awkward. After that, he walked away, never came back, and had Andy come back and basically show us out. Honestly, the whole experience ended up being a waste of time. I went in on Friday March 5th and got literally yelled at by the FINANCE MANAGER Sammer Batarsh. I went in following up on a request had about my GAP insurance that Sammer claimed I didn't have according to their system. I found the document at home which stated that I did. My GAP insurance got dropped when the lender that approved my loan switched. They didn't inform me my GAP insurance was going to be dropped when switching lenders. Sammer was short with me, raised his voice at me on a number of occasions, and even accused me of calling him a liar and incompetent (all his words) On top of all that Sammer even went as far as THROWING my GAP insurance paper work at me. It wasn't until the General Manager Sam Khoury calmly explained the situation to where me an average customer can understand. Brought my car in with an issue, was told it would be 185$ for diagnosis and that the 185 would be absorbed into any cost of repairs. Issue turned out to be an extremely simple switch of a fuse but they found another issue that would be 475 to look into. I approved it, and when I picked up my car, the 185 was not contributed to the cost of repair because "it wasn't the issue I brought the car in for". I've had a good history with vw across 4 different vehicles over the past 11 years but this was an underhanded deal and I'll not be returning to Riverside VW ever again. read more

Worst service ever!!! I am referring to their service department. This is my second time bringing in my Atlas Cross Sport 2021. I have brought my vehicle to them twice so far and I am not getting any acceptable results. I never had a service department tell me that I have to wait until they get a loaner car before they can work on my car. So far it has been a month that I have been waiting to hear from them. My lane assist indicator comes on and when it does the lane assist does not work then other times the indicator comes off then it does work. So, since it's not consistent I took a picture to show the advisor James. He had my car the whole day and said the technician could not re-enact the message. James asked me if I could leave the vehicle another day and I said I could not. We agreed when it happens again, I will just bring in the vehicle so they can see it. So, when happen again I brought the vehicle immediately to them. This time I was greeted by a different advisor and I showed him the indicator light. He told me that because I brought in before that they would set me up with a loner car and schedule for me to come in. At this point it's been two weeks and I haven't heard anything. I emailed James and he actually asked me to send him the pictures again. So obviously they did not have me scheduled for an appointment. I have been waiting about a month to get this fixed.
