My favorite dishes are the spicy eggplant with either shrimp or organic chicken, himmapan with organic chicken, and the green curry with veges and shrimp. The pad thai is also delicious and satiffying. You have the flexibility of ordering low oil options if desired which I love. Their fresh and spring rolls are also delicious as well as their soups. I've been to R'noh Thai for lunch to-go orders several times. Down the street from my office, it's so convenient yet I've only dined here twice by myself. I usually order the curry chicken noodle soup. I love their combination of piping hot curry with egg noodles, chicken and vegetables. So satisfying and massive for one person. This afternoon I ordered a late to-go lunch for my staff's last day of work before our winter break. For my staff, I had to make sure the dishes were gluten free and dairy free. We ordered salmon curry, eggplant with tofu, pad Thai with prawns and sweet and spicy chicken wings. R'noh staff made sure all my dishes were prepared the way we requested them. Boy, we were not disappointed at all. My non-Asian staff loved all the dishes. Chicken wings were a delight. Pad Thai and eggplant with tofu were fragrant and comforting. Yet, the salmon curry was a hit! It is a slightly smoked flavor with a deep red curry kick. Staff want me to order from R'noh again for our staff lunches. We will be back. Spent a wonderful afternoon here for lunch with my friend recently. Sat outside (had nice warming heaters) on a cold winter day. Back deck is peaceful with a park-type setting behind it. Ordered the lunch option of a gluten-free, vegan curry that was delicious. (It was good enough that I ordered two more dinner portions to go for a family meetup the next day.) Very nice interior design and complete menu of all your old and new to you Thai specialties abound. All the curries, rice plates and soups are on point with a choice of white and brown rice. Organic chicken options and a few gluten free dishes are nice. The red curry with choice of protein was delicious as was the side salad, artistically designed on the plate.I was given a suggestion to try the eggplant saute next time and will consider. Some of the best Thai food I have ever had!! The spices were perfect (my family always asks for dishes to be extra spicy and luckily they were actually spicy). The curry wasn't too sweet which was great. The noodles were perfect and the veggies were still crisp and not mushy. The staff is super nice! If you've been to Thailand and loved the food you will be disappointed by this place. All the dishes we ordered we're missing basic Thai spices like galangal, Thai basil, lemongrass, peppers and more. For example, we ordered tom ka gai and it literally only had coconut milk, mushrooms and chicken. And we didn't request the food be mild--many of the spices aren't even hot they just give the food dimension. I found all the food odd and disappointing. I called the restaurant to ask them about this, but they didn't answer the phone. They have no email to provide feedback. Best Thai restaurant in Marin! The food and its flavors are all fresh, intriguing, balanced, and engaging. The cute ambiance and friendly staff also adds a lot. Wonderful experience! Mom and I came for lunch on a Tuesday and were seated right away, a nice table by the window. There were not many people actually eating 'in' the restaurant at the time, but you could hear how busy the kitchen was (love that sound)! Many people came in for orders to-go. Mom and I shared a Thai iced tea (not too sweet, pretty in color) and the papaya salad with vegan dressing (I think the traditional dressing has fish sauce). The papaya salad was fresh, crisp and the vegan dressing was excellent. Next time I'm going to ask for it to be made with a little spice! We each ordered the pumpkin curry, which comes with side of rice (white or brown) and a green salad with house made dressing (slightly sweet miso dressing, yummmmm). What a gorgeous presentation, made the dish that much more enjoyable. The chicken was of good cut and quality, but the pumpkin was very dry. It's so hard to find a decent Thai restaurant in Marin. People have recommended me this place and I was very skeptical at first, but then gave in because we had tried other places and thought it was time we gave this place a try. My husband has ordered us Pad See Ew, Kang Juhd, Chicken Sate, Tom Ka Shrimp and Thai iced Coffee and Thai Iced Tea. Oh and extra rice ($3). The delivery fee was around $8.xx. Sad to say that everything was way too sweet, except Kang Jued, but I felt super thirsty after having it! With Tom Ka Shrimp, It tasted like a cup of sugar was added with a hint of lemon. We didn't want to complain because it already took over an hour for the food to be delivered to us. We kept giving them a chance, but there was always something that went missing. One time they forgot to devein the shrimp and I didn't even notice until I saw the last two. Yup, kinda too late. I mean I don't want to see the shrimp's digestive tract floating around in my soup or still on the back of it! I know it's not harmful, but it should have been removed. The last straw was the Tom Ka Shrimp had only 1 shrimp in the big cup order. Honestly, the food here isn't cheap and we have been paying around $50-60/order and I think we have already tried and had enough. Perhaps dining in might give us a much better experience, but we are just too scared to be paying more for the same kind of food. Still give them 3 stars mainly because Pad See Ew and Chicken Sate really saved the day. read more

Absolutely no "Thai" flavor (sour, sweet, spice, salt). Didn't even appear to have been stir fried -- just boiled noodles with sauce. Ick. Chicken with pineapple rice was similarly bland. Vegetables I swear if you go on Sunday seem to be from that mornings farmers market. Organic options for chicken, I mainly stick to the vegetables however. Always sweet and accommodating staff. The restaurant shares a small parking lot with several other buildings but we were early so there were plenty of spaces. it did fill up when we left though. The staff was friendly and the restaurant/restroom clean. We ordered the following items: Tofu satay - 4 tofu skewers lightly friend with a peanut dipping sauce. Very good! Tom Ka soup with prawns (sold by the cup) - very authentic flavor and generous portions Vegan Tom Ka soup - I think they used coconut milk as the base versus chicken broth. This was pretty good too but more "coconuty" than normal tom ka soups pad see ew with soft tofu - generous amount of veggies. Wish there were a little bit more noodles though Eggplant with prawns - this was my favorite dish! The eggplant was cooked perfectly with a delicious sauce. They were very generous with the amount of prawns. Panang Curry with soft tofu - a thicker curry full of flavor and a ton of veggies Garlic noodles - This was a side order for $4.95. It was the pad thai noodles cooked in garlic. It was decent. Coconut rice - wow! This was amazing. Opted for the larger portion for $4.50 versus the $3 bowl. We had enough for leftovers. Very flavorful and tasty. This went well with our dishes. Tried their coconut Thai Iced Teas too. Never had it with a coconut base. It was great!! The service was attentive and friendly. I really wish I could give 5 stars. We got sat by a cute fireplace thingy. The service was fine - they were efficient and the water was refilled frequently, which was nice. They didn't check in to see how everything was, though, which I thought was interesting. There was a little oopsie when I ordered pad thai with chicken and ended up with pad thai with prawns (which I absolutely refuse to eat, so no, I didn't make a mistake). They brought my pad thai with chicken really quickly, no big deal. So, on to why I'm only giving 4 stars even though everything else was OK - the food was just that... OK. I'm no expert on thai food but I pretty much always order pad thai and this one just wasn't five star worthy. It was good - I'm not complaining - It's just that I've had plenty of pad thai that really makes me say wow, and it wasn't this one. It wasn't too hot or too cold, it was just perfect. The workers are super nice and was patient since I was too busy talking to my co-workers where it took forever for us to look at the menu. When we finally did, we started with the Shrimp Chip appetizer. It was your everyday normal shrimp chip that I grew up with so it wasn't unique for me. Pad Se Ew ($10.50): it had wide rice noodle, broccoli egg and tofu. I loved!!! It was so good. My co-workers each ordered the Yum Yai Salad ($10): It had prawns, chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, Onion, cucumbers and ground peanuts. They loved it, their dressing a little sweet, sour and spicy. Was craving beef Panang curry while on a California road trip and this place was one of the few Thai spots in the area that offered both that and vegetable samosas. Ordered for pickup during COVID, and upon arrival there was a line of five people waiting, it seems like a popular local spot. All of the food was delicious. I got the beef Panang curry with coconut rice, and to my surprise the rice was a yellowish color and filled with raisins! I can see how that's probably a normal version of coconut rice, I'd just never had it that way before. The veggie samosas were pretty large and very very good. R'noh Thai is soo convienient to me on all aspects. It's down the hill from my house and 5 minutes away from my job. So I constantly think about this place and how consistent they are everytime! I rarely come to dine-in so this review is strictly on the take-out but boy o boy they dont skip a beat. When you walk in everyone greets you very friendly and they also probably know me by name now because I go there soo much. My usual order is the Pad Se-Ew with added beef. Oh man, this is probably my favorite in Marin! Flavors are there without al the fish sauce flavor most pad se ews have. I always love to add spice to it, quick hint ask for some chili powder/flake gives it a bit of a zing but WORTH it! Would love to dine-in sometime. they have a beautiful patio that over looks the Larkspur canal. read more
