I really want to give this place 4 or 5 stars because the food can be quite good, and the outside seating is lovely (when weather permits). The papaya salad, and the tofu satay are our favorites. The main entrees are so so, and I agree with other reviews saying the flavors sometimes are bland and not seasoned authentically. The real problem, though, is that the employees are just plain mean. I mean straight up like you are bothering them if you ask for anything. And, like another person said in their review, they literally throw the plates on your table and walk away. This has happened to us with multiple servers. They don't ask if you need anything else or how is everything ...they literally do a drive by to drop the food and keep going. I have seen servers drop off food to a table with a smile, and then the moment they turn their head from the seated party, they roll their eyes and rush back to the kitchen. It feels kind of cringe, you know, to feel like these people hate us. So weird. Last night, I wanted to ask that the seasonings were for the tofu satay. and I had to flag down a server, to which he seemed like I was bothering him with my question. I tried to warm him up by sharing how much we like that dish. He did a quick smile, then took a deep, exasperated breath as he turned and rushed off immediately after answering the question. There is no warmth here. I get that they are busy, but this is something I haven't experienced anywhere else, and to this degree. Yikes.

I met some friends here for lunch. I had the BBQ pork. It came with rice and a salad. It was very good. The restaurant had comfortable seating and the acoustics were very good. I like when I'm able to hear people talk to me without a lot of noise in the background. The staff were very friendly, but one asked about a certain appetizer that my friend wanted to have they just said no they don't have it anymore. They didn't offer any other suggestions or show us a menu that had the appetizers.

What a gem! The food is absolutely delicious, with generous portions that stand out compared to other Thai restaurants I have been to. The flavors are incredibly authentic, making it a true treat for Thai food lovers like my Thai husband and I. The service was outstanding. Our server was warm, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. I especially appreciated being seated right in front of the fireplace--it added a cozy touch, perfect for a date night with my hubby. We had Panang Curry with Chicken, Fried Tofu appetizers and Sticky Rice. The atmosphere had an open-air feel, with well-spaced tables that provided a comfortable distance from other diners. The noise level was moderate, allowing for easy conversation without feeling too quiet or too loud. There is a nice sized parking lot, so this is not an issue.

Very homey inside seating area. I got the pad Thai and it was alright. I've had better but it was still good enough for me to not complain. To be fair I was only here for like 20 mins since I was in a rush but staff was friendly and understanding. I'd say overall solid restaurant. Will I come back? Yes so I can see the outdoor patio and be one with nature while eating Thai food :)

R'noh Thai Larkspur CA Sun 9/17/23 © Thai place is packed! Dinner! Hungry! Tom Kha Kai, Spicy Pad Kee Mow! Gloria Ferrer Blanc de Noirs Rosé! Searched for Thai around Corte Madera, R'noh came up in Larkspur, let's give it a try! As I stepped in, it became clear how popular this restaurant is! Feels like home, comfortable, with two dining rooms, many locals were picking up their take outs, others dining in, atmosphere inviting, waiters busy serving, place is bustling! I had to wait a bit for a window table. Thank you Joy! First things first, it's the thirst! Glass of water with orange slice in it and a bottle of Gloria Ferrer Blanc de Noirs Rosé Champagne! Joy brought it over, served & poured! Mmm bubbly! When eating Thai, must have Tom Kha Kai! Your choice of protein, Coconut Milk with lemon grass, galangal, mushroom & lime juice! Chicken Tom Kha Kai and Gloria Ferrer go finely together, as I found out! Next up, Lamb Curry with Chunks of tender lamb, potatoes & vegetables in yellow curry, served with cucumber salad, mild spicy, mighty tasty! 25 bucks. Ordered Coconut Rice, which could be a dish in itself, honestly! So delicious with some berries resembling raisins but not, I was so busy chewing, forgot to ask what it was! Get large portion 5, you'll thank me later! Cucumber salad comes with your Lamb Curry, very refreshing accompaniment! Spicy Pad Kee Mow, it's a noodle dish with your choice of protein, I got the safe chicken LOLz! Stir fried wide rice noodles with chili, garlic, bell pepper, basil, bean sprouts, egg, chicken 17 in this combination! All in all, a memorable dinner at the end of tumultuous Sunday! If I lived in the area I would come here regularly. Probably one of the most delicious thai food I have had in a while. They were able to modify our order to make it vegan and everything was just delicious- the papaya salad, panang curry and pad kee mow; bursting with flavor. But the star of the show was the Tom Kha. The best Tom Kha I've had. Seriously, I need to find out what they put in it. I will be back whenever I am in the area.

It was okay as long as they ordered without waiting for us. Comforts is both a restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining, and a separate take out deli bakery.
