Best Pizza around! We have lived in the area for a number of years and love the pizza at RP. Other items are good to, but we always end up with at least some pizza because it is so good. The staff is outstanding as well. They are always friendly (even when my kids are being loud and not at their best) and know what it takes to be family friendly. It is always clean too. It seems like a lot of places that you go into for a meal today you sit down feeling like you need to do your own cleaning for the table and chairs, but not at Roasted Peppers. read more

Calzones. I get other things once in a while. They're all good but the calzones are my favorite. Good size, fresh ingredients, always hot on take out and they never leave me unsatisfied. I ordered from RP this morning at 11 for myself and a friend: two chef salads and a breakfast burrito- I was so excited to see the burrito offered as a delivery option. I ordered the Mexican burrito- which is eggs, cheese, and salsa, with a side of sour cream. I paid via CC over the phone, was quoted a 30-40 minute delivery time (I ordered from work less than a five-minute drive away), and hung up, only to receive a call back 15 minutes later to go over my order because the person was confused. Quoted me back "two grilled chicken salads and a Mexican sandwich, side of sour cream." I repeated my original order, the person said "okay," and we hung up. An hour later, I called looking to see if they had any idea when the food would arrive... The person who answered said "any second." Ten minutes later, food arrives. Salads are correct, receipt says "Mexican chicken sandwich, side sour cream." I asked the delivery person why a breakfast burrito would be listed as a sandwich, and he said "that's just how it prints up" which seemed ridiculous to me as they're two completely different things, but I don't run a restaurant, so whatever. I confirmed that it was a burrito with eggs, cheese, and salsa, side of sour cream, he said yes, I tipped well, and he left. I pull everything out of the bag and open the enormous burrito, thinking it's the biggest breakfast burrito I've ever seen- and it's a SANDWICH. No side of sour cream in sight. I call back and ask why if we triple-checked including them having to call me back to repeat my order would it take over an hour for the wrong food, and I was referred to a manager, who told me they're very sorry they sent the wrong food, and they don't have sour cream in the building so he has no idea why multiple people would have let me order, pay for, and think I was getting it (this part is actually not a big deal but speaks to their management 100%). Why. Why. Why. I was offered credit for next time or a new burrito- at which point it's nearing 1pm and I was like well, I don't think I'm ordering from a place that triples their quoted delivery time to wait another hour for the right sandwich, but I've been told it's going to be ASAP... whatever that means. Proceed with caution. *If you're dining in, the food is great quality, but clearly you need to hawk-eye the entire process and I'm just pretty turned off by this entire experience. read more

My husband and I ordered a pizza yesterday. We usually have pizza at another place, but they were closed. We ordered a large roasted meat pizza with extra cheese. It took about 20 mins, and that was fine. When the girl gave me the box, it was very light. I looked at it and was surprised how light and not much toppings on it. Took it home , and my husband asked why was box so light? It was hot, but def no extra cheese and not a hearty slice of pizza. And for 18.00 bucks I want a ton of toppings and extra cheese that I paid for. So we weren't impressed. Never going back for pizza anyways. I have to give them credit for there wraps. I can't believe no one has reviewed Roasted Peppers yet. We were headed to Maynard to finally try Willy's Phillys yesterday. Unfortunately 3 familys had beat us to it and the place was too packed for us to get a seat. So off we ventured down Main Street. We saw Roasted Peppers and decided to give them a try. Tons of sandwiches, paninis, wraps, salads, and soups so we knew we'd find something. Kids split a peanut butter sandwich and we split a grilled chicken panini. The panini was excellent! One gloriously seasoned and freshly grilled chicken breast topped with melted provolone, bacon, and red onions. It was so tasty I almost got one to go for dinner! Topped off the meal with one of their frozen lemonades. It certainly helped beat the heat yesterday. The waitstaff was vibrant and helpful. I have a feeling that they are a new business but if they can keep the quality up -- we will definitely be back! read more

once upon a time there was a great battle that raged in my office. whether to embrace the warm hospitality of the boston bean house while paying too much for meager, unsatisfying sandwiches, or brave the white star gourmet, knowing you'd get a good, solid sandwich, but that you might wait 45 minutes for it and have no idea why. both establishments had their adherents, and many gallons of condiments were spilled in the ensuing battles. in the end, the wait at white star became intolerable, and the arrival of subway's cheap, predictable, and mediocre product meant that boston bean won, somewhat by default. as time passed, white star was replaced by roasted peppers. which, near as we could tell, was the same thing with a different name. and so we stayed away. until yesterday. it turns out we were both right and wrong. it's the same as the white star gourmet, meaning you'll get a good sandwich with plenty of quality meat on a crunch baguette like roll. it's more expensive than it used to be, meaning it's price-equivalent with boston bean (seriously, how did it come to be that i spend $9 on a sandwich and a soda in maynard?). it's also faster, meaning i had my sandwich in mere minutes. and now the battle shall rage anew! read more

How many pizza / sub shops are there in any given New England town 5?, 10? Difficult to stand out in such a congested niche. Somehow roasted peppers does just that, the menu is enormous and yet everything delivers as either good or borderline gourmet. Standouts for me include all of the signature sandwiches and the pizza. They make there own chicken cutlets and house bake rolls for the subs the chicken parm is everything you would want from a chicken parm sub. read more

I can't recommend this place enough! Been here for dinner with my family half a dozen times now and everything has been delicious! Every panini, burger or sandwich I've had has been really well prepared and flavorful and my kids have been very pleased with the pizza. This is a great place for breakfast and lunch. The owner is very serious about quality ingredients and tries very hard. Recently, They started having evening hours and in particular, are now offering pizza. This latter addition is the reason for my downgrading them. The pizza is just not great. While the toppings are ok and fresh, the crust is sadly lacking. It is rather bread-like and is bland. Franco's and Uppercrust are much better and I would advise the owner to try these other places and make some changes. This is an otherwise great place and I wish them continued success. read more

We used Roasted Peppers catering services for our wedding rehearsal picnic at NARA Park and we could not have been happier with the food and great service they provided us that day. The food was delicious, really reasonably priced, and exactly what we were looking for. Jim and his servers were great too. They showed up on time and were on top of everything, whether during set up, the actual event itself, or clean up!! They worked hard to clear left over plates during the event so our space always felt clean and inviting for our guests. They even wrapped up the extra food we had left over so we could take it home with us. We cannot recommend Roasted Peppers catering services enough!! read more

Let me clarify, I'm from the Midwest, specifically from Wisconsin. I've eaten here a few times and it's not bad, but it's not great either. It's one of the better pizza places around if you like the east coast thin crust pizza. They are pretty creative with their pizzas which is nice. I've had better, but not within at least 10 miles of here. Their wings are deep fried which is fine. A little on the small size and a bit over battered if you prefer naked wings. The batter isn't bad, just too much. I'd recommend getting them well done. Their jalapeño poppers are ok, I've had worse, and I've had better. I can't handle spicy food at all and the poppers were quite mild which is nice. I just love the Smokey flavor of jalapeños but their heat can kill me. The atmosphere is a very nice mom and pop shop that looks very well kept and they clearly put thought and effort into decorating. In all of Maynard, this is in the top 5 places to eat. You won't be upset with the food, but you also won't rave about it. It's an acceptable compromise for the area. read more

We like the food at RP. But the last two times we have eaten there in the past 2 months, the service has been terrible. There is a young girl on the phone and waiting tables who has a terrible demeanor. She is incapable of doing both tasks. Both our drink and food orders were forgotten. We had to ask about our order multiple times and quick night out for pizza turned into a 2 hour ordeal. The place was so smoky from the kitchen that they had to keep opening the door and then it was freezing inside. We won't be back. read more

Great food. Great service. I always enjoy ordering from them and eating their meals. They have a variety of options and I've never been disappointed. My favorite is the strawberry smoothie and the chicken club, but occasionally I'll try something new. Went here for take out. The food was meh. They gave us the wrong item (chicken instead of beef) but graciously delivered the right item promptly and threw in a free cookie, hence the 3 stars instead of 1. I ordered a "gyro", which is really flavorless ground beef in the shape of steak, served on a TORTILLA with lettuce, tomatoes and a bland yogurt sauce. I get this is not a "Greek" restaurant, but why would you call a wrap a "Gyro" unless you were going to use the correct bread. Call it a wrap! Don't mislead people!!! We also got up-charged for a side salad and the salad was meh. Tons of lettuce and barely any tomatoes or onions. Really? You charge me extra for a side salad and give me a ton of lettuce? read more

This place is generally great... except not when you get an extremely bad wrap maker (which I've experienced a handful of times). My wrap has literally fallen apart on me upon opening it more than an handful of times. I might as well have ordered a salad because I had to eat it like one. I've eaten here (or done take-out) many, many times. I typically get the buffalo chicken wrap. In my experience, the sandwiches are quite good. I think the Boar's Head meat is a big factor. If I'm eating in, I bring a book, because of the long wait. I agree with the high rating of the pizza. However, note that the pizza is available only during dinner hours. There's no place in Maynard where I would get pizza at lunch time. The closest good lunch-time pizza is Sorrentos on rt 27 in Acton. (The closest 1st rate pizza is in Chicago. We stopped in for a quick bite to eat. This place is amazing, we were very pleasantly surprised. They bake all of their own breads, and everything is fresh. I am not a vegetarian, but got the veggie sandwich with fresh mozzarella on a baguette, so good. Hubby got a huge Italian sub. The menu is extensive, so much to choose from, and the breakfast we hear is amazing. Also hear the paninis are wonderful. Very kind woman took our order, service is excellent and the decor is very nice with the brick oven, table cloths and overall design. The owner Hercules took the call and said I can help and will make whatever you need. We ordered 15 pizzas and sure enough they made them! After he was closed he made pizza and it was Delicious...
