Very small place, there is no indoor seating. A few tables out front and they have more seating around the side of the building. The food was so delicious. My mom and I both got the caprese avocado toast and it was a generous helping on a delicious sourdough toast. Fresh avocado, tomato, mozzarella cheese and basil with a balsamic drizzle. Yum! I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the service was a bit slow. We waited 20 minutes for our coffees after we waited 20 minutes for our avocado toast. We arrived around 11:15/11:20 and she was going to let me order off of their 11:30 flat bread menu, but being my first time, I decided to start with a standard avocado toast. Found this place as it shares a parking lot with a fish market we were headed to. Stopped for a light breakfast and beverages. We were a group of four, and were able to split a gravlax toast and omelette between us. The fish was wonderful and legit cured in salt and sugar--sliced medium which is perfect for me. Flavorful and thick toasted bread. The omelette on the other hand, can be skipped--so dry and eggs tasted like there might be something mixed in to stabilize, mushroom and veggies were only upside, but just ended up taking a few bites and tossing. Dragon fruit smoothie is great, and while I'm not a coffee drinker, my friends said it was good. The inside is just counter service and is shared or has an adjoining door with another business, so outside seating or takeaway at this place. Service is friendly, but slow, no biggie. Title: **Rancid Avocado Ruined the Experience** I had high hopes for Roasted and Toasted, but my experience was nothing short of a disaster. I ordered the Big Bruddah avocado toast, expecting a fresh and delicious meal. Instead, I was served avocado that was completely rancid. When I got home and took a closer look, I was horrified to see how brown and disgusting the avocado was underneath. I had to scrape it off and throw it away into the trash. I've attached a picture for anyone who doubts the level of grossness. This was incredibly disappointing for $16 avocado, eggs, & bacon on a slice of bread. Ordered a ton of variety and food was very tasty. My ube coffee had no actual ube taste though which was a bummer. Also grabbed a malasada which is in a small clear box next to the cashier. I highly recommend getting one before they are gone! SOOO good and melty and fresh. This was during Iron Man. We were locked into our condo because the road was closed so we couldn't leave - we were aware of it and chose to explore the town on this day instead. And this location was one of the few open coffee shops near us - they were incredulous that the other shops were closed ("this is our busiest time of the year - we make so much money!") it's a small joint, their front area was FULL of people, and a long line inside that they cranked out quickly. Even with rude tourists, the cashier was crazy friendly, had my iced coffee and chocolate banana bread out to me, and my partner's hot coffee. There aren't many options for breakfast in Kona, so while strolling around our hotel, we found Roasted Toaster. It opens at 7:30AM, which was the perfect time for my schedule. I got there a little early, and the workers were super friendly and welcoming. I had the caprese toast and crepe. I loved the toast. The bread was a great texture and flavor. There were thick slices of mozzarella cheese and tomato with fresh avocado underneath. The balsamic dressing topped everything off. The crepe looked better than it tasted and was a little too doughy for me, but the fruits were delicious! I would definitely recommend Roasted Toasted for a delicious breakfast. Super fresh ingredients and probably the healthiest meal I've had in this short vacation. This is one of those healthy vibe cafes that would crush it in LA, SF, or NYC. The prices are clearly for the tourists as well, and that's my reason for 4*; not really a place where locals can frequent. Breakfast toasts are about $13. The gentleman taking our order was nice, but it went downhill from there. The gentleman who rang us up had told us we would have our food brought out to us. Cool no worries - we went and sat outside. We waited for roughly 35 minutes for our food to be brought outside. Another employee who looked less than apathetic came out and yelled a number, which we were not given. Rather than ask people who are clearly waiting for their food outside or seek out any other information, she sarcastically said it'll be inside. Eventually we had to go inside and seek out our food, which clearly had been sitting for a while. I had told her we weren't given a number and asked what the order she brought outside was. She rudely said there's the ticket. I said oh that's our order and she responded with I don't think that's your order. I said yes, it was what we ordered, and grabbed our meals. Such bizarre customer service. Looks like there is miscommunication in operating procedures. Overall, I would go somewhere else. This place deserves 10 stars! The food is delicious, and the people are awesome. It can be difficult to find places that fit my food restrictions that are still delicious and healthy, and this place was a perfect find! Justin, Eddie, John, and Simon were so kind and went above and beyond to put a meal together even after they'd cleaned up for the day (not that I recommend being that person). The only complaint is that they're closed on Tuesdays and we have to find somewhere else to eat haha. Highly recommend! We've come 3 times already and have tried the vegan toast with pork, the waffle, breakfast sandwich with added pork, the mixed green salad with ono, and the omlette. Happy Monday Adventurers! I grabbed brunch while visiting Hawaii a week or so ago. Really happy I did because the food was really good! I ordered the fish tacos(3 per order) which were delicious, the sauce really made the dish. My friend had an omelet and the thing was huge, I think we took home for leftovers. The menu is chalked onto the wall and I think changes depending on what's in season. Love that there's seating right outside and then around the corner a whole patio. No omelette for us today. I did get my Da hammah with extra scrambled eggs instead of bacon. They didn't have any other protein options in Lou of the bacon. The breakfast sandwich has bacon, cheddar cheese, eggs and added avocado. The Da hammah avocado toast and the breakfast sandwich on a bagel was $19.83. They have some patio seating right out front with umbrellas and shaded under the palm trees. It's next to some gym or club rehab. The breakfast sandwich was good. My avocado toast was boring and bland. The egg was nice and fluffy. The toast was quite basic, avocado slices and eggs, bacon might have helped, but still flavorless and much too plain for me. It comes as a huge slab of fresh sourdough toast covered with essentially an entire avocado, and topped with freshly sliced and pickled carrots and cucumbers and onions along with some mixed greens and a vinaigrette. Oh my gosh, why didn't I discover this place sooner! It is phenomenal, great quality, helpful service, huge portions and unique flavors. As the name suggests this is a toast cafe that uses the famed avocado toast as a foundation for it's delicious dishes. They have an impressive list of toasts with various toppings and combinations. I had the Gravlax smoked salmon toast which featured huge slices of salmon, avocado, a smear of cream cheese and topped with capers and pickled onions. It was absolutely delicious and very generous in portion size. My friend got Da Vegan and added kalua pig. It was massive, topped with fresh veggies, arugula and pesto. Adding the kalua pig was exceptional! The pig had excellent flavor wasn't overly fatty or oily it was perfect and left me wanted to steal more bites. The ambiance is just a small cafe with seating outside or around the corner. The outdoor seats in the plants and partial sun is nice and simple.
