Your average Mexican place and late-night burrito fix because it's open 24/7, which is the reason I visited this joint.

First, my family really enjoys the food. It's very tasty, and it's generous for the price. So, I can recommend the taste and price. We stop by there about once a month and always enjoy the food we order. We have found the counter staff to be very polite and helpful. Second, I have to say that cleanliness is lacking. If you can avoid using the restroom, you must. It's just filthy. Sometimes the tables seem clean, and sometimes they don't, even when there are no other customers present inside the restaurant. I have to wonder whether the rags used to clean the tables are actually clean, though, considering the restroom. I am giving them five stars for food taste and price, minus two stars for the filthy bathroom and unnecessarily dirty tables at times. I try not to think about whether the cleanliness issues affect food safety. I would say because most of their food is cooked and because they have a steady business, it's probably safe to eat there if you don't use the restroom. Anything on the tables will probably just innoculate you for better future immunity if you're generally healthy. read more

Ordered the number 5 combo plate which is cheese enchilada, beef taco, rice and beans. Beef taco had a ton of liquid fall out of it. The enchilada was covered with lettuce? What? And the cheese in the enchilada wasn't even melted. I got cold food. read more

The burrito I ordered was a good size and they didn't skimp on the meat, I appreciated that. However it was SO GREASY! It dropped through the wrap I placed at the bottom to try to contain it, so I tried a bunch of napkins at the bottom -- still nope! I finally got a plate and let its drop everywhere. I grew up eating Robertitos. This place is a must have if and when you're in Brook Town. I attended Fallbrook High back in early/mid 2000's, and my friends and I would sneak out during lunch time to get some California burritos. Bomb-skeet! Also, during my senior year, my friends and I would go to all Quincearenas possible at the community center and empaque. After the party was over (around 10pm) we would go to Robertitos for the afterparty. You know that place is always popping at night. Best time to go is probably 3am in the morning when there's people coming back from TJ, La Nueva Ronda, Show Palace, El Rodeo, etc. Bunch of scrubs and skonks. Lock! My friend Charlie was so obssessed with this place that he wanted to work there. He even went to culinary school to boost up his chances. I don't know if he ever applied. He's now in Dominguez Hills being a skonk and losing Iron Chef to Barrbq. When I went off to USC for college, I would always hit this place up when I was visiting my family. I'm from Diego and I know my mexican food. This place just is average but the prices, lack of presentation and overall quality/taste make it lose a star. I tried to order a carne asada burrito w/ rice and beans and was told there's no plate so they had to charge me extra for a side of both.....Okay. I went to robertitos and I usually love it there but tonight the guy at the cashier named jesus so he says .he was yelling at me at the window saying I know better and I shouldn't be ordering fries with mustard and hot sauce and mayonnaise and ketchup on it because they dont have that and that I need to stop ordering wierd stuff because hes getting sick and tired of it and if I dont like it adelante that's what he said . I order like almost 2 -3 times a week from you guys and I spend literally about 200 dollars a week on robertitos and for him to treat me like that is not acceptable. When I was at the menu in drive thru ordering he didnt tell me that he didnt have that stuff or else I wouldn't hVe waited almost 30 minutes in line . In almost 3 years we've only complained once with you guys because usually you guys are so outgoing and funny and really make our day. But you need to put the other guy back at the window that knows how to treat people and knows what customer service is. Waited in line for 45 minutes. When I got home with my food they got 50% of the order wrong. The food was cold and the tortillas of the tacos fell apart because they were sitting in a watery juice. What once was decent mexican food is no longer. My favorite dish WAS (past tense) the beef enchiladas, however, a recent purchase ruined my lunch, and my day. It was the kind of dish that tasted like it cost 10 cents to make as it consisted of little more than onions, green peppers, and sauce. What little beef existed was dry and tasteless. This place can be great, but sometimes you have to be careful what you order. Hands down (as far as I'm concerned), the beef rolled tacos (also known as taquitos) are incredible. They're topped with lettuce, sour cream, and guacamole. They're crispy but not shatter-in-your-teeth crispy. Perfect! The quesadillas can be greasy (because of the oils from the cheese), but they're huge. And the salsas and other sauces are fresh and have incredible flavor. The place itself is a local hole-in-the-wall; the chairs and tables are stationery molded plastic and they have ceiling fans in lieu of air conditioning, but it's worth it. The staff are always friendly and the whole feel is casual and fun. The food's simple but usually well done (there are a few misses, but on the whole it's pretty good) and there's usually a festive feel to the air. Oh! And it's one of, like, two places open 24 hours in Fallbrook. For a town where most places close at 5 p.m. (even on weekends), that's a huge plus. Parking: huge lot shared with other businesses in the strip mall. Finding a spot should never be a problem. Takeout: Most people don't know this, but phone orders are welcome. No delivery, but when you're ordering a billion rolled tacos, it helps to call ahead. ^_~ I've had some experiences like reviewer Rebecca's (the meat could be trimmed a little cleaner) but on the whole it's more like Nicole's: great beef tacos and heavenly sauce. read more
