This is easily the best place to get food in Fallbrook past 10 PM. Burritos are a healthy size (but not at all healthy) and being used to always getting 8 dollar burritos from Chipotle, at $5.20 these burritos are cheap! California burrito is decent for a California burrito, and you should really try the chile relleño burrito. Even though you won't be able to eat it with your hands from all the melted cheese and grease disintegrating it. Carne asada fries are also pretty good, and although expensive you get a lot for what you pay for. Don't be fooled by the "medium size" when buying the fries, they are huge and you'd have consumed probably about 2000 calories eating it by yourself. This place is great for midnight munchies for sure, similar to an Alberto's, but don't be surprised if you gain a pound from eating one of their burritos. read more

Some rate Robertitos as "Best..." This is a raters' exuberance. I don't give 5 or even 4 stars to fast food restaurants. However, having said this, there is a lot to recommend about Robertitos. Great prices! I had a Chicken Tostada and it was only $3.19 and they didn't skimp on the chicken. Their single tacos are huge (maybe 8" long) with lots of meat. They have all the drinks you'd expect, e.g. Horchata, Tamarindo, Jamaica, etc. Best of all is that they are open 24 hours. The not so great aspect is their quality consistency. My Chicken Tostada was delish - just a thin layer of beans, and lots of juicy tasty chicken. My wife ordered a Carnitas Taco and the pieces were burnt and hard - lacking any flavor. When she called this to their attention they merely offered her more (and she is fluent in Spanish so they understood). She asked is this the way the chef prepares Carnitas and they said "yes"!!! Oh well! It's not an enjoyable sit down experience, more of a Taco Bell style take out format. But when Fallbrook rolls up its sidewalks at 9:00 pm and I'm hungry - Robertitos Chicken Tostada has my name on it. read more

Are it, it seemed fine and tasty but today I've been struggling all day with bathroom related issues. Something within the meal was expired. My family have gone to this restaurant many times and its always a long line at the drive through. We got orders of carne asada fries multiple times the first time we ordered they had beans in them. We never been to a restaurant where they had beans in their carne asada fries so time after we went we MADE sure we ordered "no beans" and every time they put beans in our order. Terrible customer service. I brought in my drive through order in and it had hair in multiple orders. Carne Asada was extremely salty and my wife found a hair in her beans as well. When I brought back the order I was told I couldn't get my money back without the order of tacos that didn't have a hair in it. Which I ate because I was starving. I paid 28.02 for terrible food. Mexican Authenticity is SPOT on! One of my favorite fast food Mexican places to eat, you can't get a better taco de adovada as good as this place. I expected a lot more out of this place. Being born and raised in SD, I have an affinity for Mexican food, and this place just didn't stack up to most places. I ordered a Cali burrito, and the cheese was thrown on top as if it was a last minute decision. Still cold. The carne asada wasn't very flavorful, and had quite a few pieces of gristle in it. 20 years ago, I used to live in Fallbrook and frequent this place weekly. I am moving back, so I tried them last night.......and I will not go back. I went through the drive thru. I ordered a Carne Asada plate, a Carnitas plate and a Cheese Enchilada plate. Pull up to the window and see a small sign taped to, but falling off the window, stating "Cash Only". I didn't have any cash.....I never have cash because it's 2013 and I'm over 40 years old. The guy at the window says they have an ATM inside, so I leave the drive thru, go inside and am charged a $2.05 fee to use the ATM, on top of the $1 from my bank. I never have cash, so that is one of the reasons I won't be back. Hubby liked the carne asada plate, son liked the cheese enchiladas. Ohhhh, but the carnitas. They were dry, tough and disgusting. They were un-Godly. I ate the beans, rice and tortilla, and I brought the "carnitas" home for the dogs. Bleck. I have an iron stomach, but I am so grossed out even typing this. Wether I'm stoned to the bone, or more baked than a cake, this is the place to go whenever I'm on marijuana. The new weed shop is located conveniently near by so it's easy to spend your days just walking back and forth spending all your money. You get a lot of food for the price which is a plus when you've spent all your money on weed and the horchata is tasty and will kill cottonmouth quicker than a mongoose could. In all honesty, I have only ever had their Horchata and Adobada Burritos, however no one compares. The prices are great, yeah they only take cash, but it's posted everywhere. Just make sure you arrive with cash. They even have a drive thru. Every time my husband and I go into town, all we can think about in wanting in Robertitos! While I wouldn't go so far as to call them the best- it is decent Mexican food and they are open 24 hours (the real seller here.) Good after coming back from the city after late night or when you have the munchies at a ungodly hour. As others have said, be careful what you order- if it's capable of giving you food poisoning (any seafood) it probably will- if not the first time you eat there, then probably the next. The guys that work there are always friendly and often willing to comply with off-menu requests. The taquitos have always been a safe bet for me. If you patronize this joint very late at night/ early in the morning, I would suggest the drive-thru over eating inside, unless you enjoy being accosted by the occasional drunken stranger or loud local crazy. read more
