We have been wanting to try Roberto's taco shop for a while since they put a new one in Sparks near us! So we stopped into this one where we were at in Reno, and oh my gosh, this was the first time we have ever eaten at a Roberto's and I can say we will definitely be regular customers! The staff was fantastic and fast with our order, I ordered a taco tamale meal, she made special for me because I wanted a tamale so bad, and beans and rice and a hard shell beef taco is delicious! Tonight I had the worst burrito at Roberto's. I ordered a carnitas burrito, which I've had before, but this time, there was no carnitas in it! it was almost all made of gray refried beans, green peppers, and a chunk of half melted cheddar one one side. It was disgusting. I gave it 2 bites, then opened it up to see if there was any meat in it - and there were a like 4 strings of chicken - wrong meat! No rice, no guacamole, nothing else. My husband ordered a chicken burrito and his was ok (not great though) and full of chicken. Guess they ran out of carnitas and just slopped some refried beans in a tortilla. Gross. Waste of $10. Had a pretty good carnitas burrito here weeks ago - tons of meat, rice, guacamole, pico. This burrito was made of complete slop. The food is not bad but the prices have gone way up. I am a senior and they say they give a 10% discount. What they dont tell you is it is only on one item. I purchased 3 meals all for seniors and since it was all on on ticket only got 1 item discounted. Before taxes my bill was $47.90 and I only got $2.01 off. I am happy with any discount but I really think they need to post things accurately. We went there because of the discount. read more

I've had three bacon breakfast burritos from Roberto's in the last month so clearly I've got an obsession going here. I haven't tried much of the rest of their menu. They do have chicken taco Wednesday's that I'll have to try out soon! I've always ordered to go, yet the service seems pretty quick. My late night cravings were satisfied! I worked super late the other night and decided to place an order online to take home. Roberto's is open 24 hours a day! I loved the convenience of ordering online, and my food was ready on time for pick up. I have not had the carne asada fries in years! I just wish the cheese was more melted. My chicken tacos were a bit dry but had good flavor. The fries were a bit on the soggy side in some sections but still edible. I ordered my daughter a bean and cheese burrito, and we ended up just sharing everything. Believe it or not, the bean and cheese burrito was my favorite thing. Their food is good I do like their rice and beans but I got here and waited 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged by the girl that was supposed to be behind the counter she was in the back and the guy who was cooking never even said hey so we'll be right with you nothing so I kind of stood there with my thumb up my butt. Now I really came over here for taco Tuesday because every taco place has got Taco Tuesday except Roberto's there is no Taco Tuesday special. And so I ended up ordering a carne asada platter and a bean and cheese burrito she asked me what kind of tortilla I would like corn or flour and I asked if I could have one of each and she said no! Now riddle me this why would it be so difficult to put one corn tortilla and one flour tortilla when it comes with two anyway instead of two of either corn or flour does not make sense so anyway if you come over here kind of be prepared to be ignored and no substitutions whatsoever apparently so even something as simple as that. So when I got home there was four huge flour tortillas and I really missed having corn because that's what I prefer. The food was mediocre wasn't anything to brag about but it didn't make my belly stop growling. I'm definitely going to try these little Mexican place down the street from Roberto's and see how they are because I'm not that impressed with Roberto sorry to say. read more

My go-to spot for Breakfast Burritos! Their online ordering is easy to use and the timeframe for pickup is always accurate. My food is always hot and ready when I come to get it. I am basic and opt for a simple Bacon & Cheese Burrito with extra cheese. My husband usually gets a Carne Asada Burrito. They are both always super tasty. Staff are always pleasant. Been here plenty of times over the last few years and service has drastically went down hill. The food is still good but at time dry and bland, and they tend to just leave orders sitting on the counter instead of serving them to waiting customers. My most recent visit they messed up the whole order making the burrito literally just grilled chicken they forgot the beans and all the other condiments and ingredients. And not to mention they started charging outrageous prices for a refill you pay 3.50$ for a large and they decided recently to start charging 2$ for a refill. It's just outrageous. Have been coming back less and less due to these bad experiences at many different times throughout the years from late night to early morning or afternoon and their online orders don't even start cooking till you show up so there's no point ordering in advance unless you call but who knows how reliable they'll be at this point read more

Just ate here for the first time. Roberto's is now in Sparks - I have no idea how long they've been here but am glad they are right down the street from me. I had the carne asada fries, these things are huge! They are flavor/ingredient packed and come with fries, meat, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, salsa mexicana. They are quick and give you a plate full. The asada was well done and everything tasted as it should. Only complaint is that the meat was a little too nervey (don't think that's a word but I think you know what I mean?) and the red salsa (on the side) was missing something. read more

My friends and I came in for a late night snack and Roberto's made that happen. At 10 pm I'm not looking to be awed. I'm looking to be satisfied, and Roberto's satisfied. The food was fast. We had our food within 10 minutes. The food was just fine. We all ordered rolled tacos with guacamole. This is not some chunky guac that you will sing praises of, but it has the creamy acid you want from a guac. The mountain of cheese on top made me laugh out loud and I certainly couldn't even eat it all. The chicken seemed a touch dry, but the guac and the salsa bar covered that up. The salsa bar was a touch unkempt while we were there and they didn't wipe down any tables after diners left, but it didn't seem dirty. All in all, my needs were met! read more

My daughter was craving tacos so we decided to stop in. She ordered 2 tacos with beans instead of meat (because she's a vegetarian). The girl proceeded to tell her that they couldn't do that. My daughter said that they could charge her for the meat tacos not just replace the meat with beans. The girl told her, "We don't do that. We don't have vegetarian tacos". Not only is that TOTALLY poor customer service, it's complete BS. They sell side of beans, beans are cheaper than meat, they could easily make bean tacos!!!!! I've been to this place a few times because it's open late and the food is usually ok but last night I ordered two beef burritos and when we got home and bit into it it was the most greasy bell pepper onion slimy thing I've ever had in my life. Disgusting. I couldn't even finish it because the tortilla was turning into mush in my hand. I do not recommend this place at least late night unless your looking for vegetable greasy mush crap to eat. No option for zero or negative stars or this place would be at the top of the sucky list! They've more than fallen off, clearly they rely on drunk college kids who are less scrutinizing about food quality, which is okay, but if you want to enjoy your food and the service it comes with, avoid this Brand. If you can't get nowhere else, it's better than nothing and will guard against a hangover, if you manage to eat it. We called in a take out order for 2 #9 1 with flour 1 with corn tortillas. The order wasn't quite ready when I arrived, which wasn't a bad thing, because our food wasn't getting cold. The staff continued to be very friendly and efficient. The store remained clean The two plates cost under $20 with tax, and provided portions. If I had to complain about anything it would be the lettuce, pico and quac sitting next to the scramble resulted in the juice from the pico soaking into the eggs making them a little soggy. Other than that, the food was very tasty, and we look forward to going back again! read more

Hunger got the best of me here. It is a new business in the area, so I figured I would give it a try. I ordered a chicken burrito and a beef torta. Both items were shredded meat that seemed to be soaking in some type of juice, which made the tortilla on the burrito, and the bread on the torta soggy. I didn't finish either one of the items. The chips were perfect, though. The burrito just had meat and bell peppers, along with something else. It wasn't the best; I'll say that much. The chips were crispy and not greasy. The chips were always warm. I did finish all the chips. The restaurant is twenty fours hours, which has become a rarity during this Covid time we live in current. Roberto's Taco Shop has been a hit ever since the first Taco Shop opened up in Downtown Reno and beyond glad they have opened one in Sparks now. Came in and got some Sausage Breakfast Burritos, a few large Horchatas for my coworkers and I and I must say, breakfast was very delicious. The potatoes were cooked to softness perfection, the egg with a little sprinkled cheese was on point and the sausage was like the cherry on top of the sundae. My breakfast burrito was spectacularly good and that's just an understatement. The customer service was excellent and received my food in a timely manner. The horchata was very refreshing and probably one of the best ones I've had so far. Love their horchata! I'm not trying to be an A** but this place is on some wildness. They served us two complete meals that consisted of enchiladas and both meals had cold straight out of the fridge unmelted cheese. When we asked the employees to put the meals in the microwave to melt the cheese because it was cold they said the cheese comes cold and it was not their fault. If I was the manager of this place I'd be embarrassed. The three other meals we ordered also had cold unmelted cheese. Super unfortunate.
