If you are looking for the quintessential Boynton Beach dining experience, Two Georges Waterfront…read moreGrille is absolute perfection. Tucked right on the Intracoastal Waterway, this local staple delivers on every front: incredible views, fantastic drinks, and top-tier seafood.  The Atmosphere: You can't beat the location. Sitting under the thatch roof, sipping a cold drink, and watching the boats glide by encapsulates the ultimate laid-back Florida lifestyle. It's vibrant, breezy, and effortlessly fun--complete with great live music and the classic bonus of watching people feed the catfish off the docks!  The Food: Everything we ordered was packed with flavor. The Maryland Crab Cakes and the fresh local seafood are absolute standouts, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Don't skip out on an appetizer like their fresh fish dip or conch fritters, and make sure you save room for a slice of their house-made Key Lime Pie to finish the meal.  The Service: Despite being a busy waterfront hotspot, the staff is welcoming, attentive, and keeps the tropical cocktails flowing. Whether you're coming in by car or pulling right up to their dock slips by boat, Two Georges is everything a waterfront restaurant should be.

The beer was warm and the ambience was annoying because people kept throwing food into the water to feed the fish and the fish would flop around. I literally took maybe one bite of the sandwich and one or two of the oysters mentioned it to the waiter and he did not offer to remove it from the bill, should've insisted, but just was not in the mood for more stress. go right across the water to banana boat much better.

The husband-and-wife owners are clearly hands-on... stopping by tables, checking in with guests, and keeping a watchful eye on everything. It's obvious they care and truly want you to have a great time here. I called for a reservation and it was basically sold out... when they said they could take me at 5pm, I grabbed it. Was actually perfect as I was heading over to see the tennis tournament after dinner. On arrival, the place was empty. As expected, when we left, it was completely full. A half bottle of Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay was perfect with my lobster. The wine list isn't extensive, but it's well chosen and fairly priced. The food was excellent across the board. A special of Scallops, Crab Cake, topped with Shrimp over Vegetables was fantastic. My guest enjoyed the Clams Oreganata. I loved my Baked Stuffed Lobster (stuffed with crab), served with amazing Mashed Potatoes... and bonus points for a real hand towel after the lobster. Of course, I had to try the key lime pie... very good. Now I understand why this casual, unassuming spot is so popular... it hits on every note. I noticed a bunch of regulars dining at the bar, which looked perfect to me. The bar is walk-in only... so next time I don't have dinner plans, I'll remember I can just walk in and try for a seat. I'm sure I'll see two familiar faces... the owners, Anthony and Christine. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I recently came back with a friend for oysters, clams, and drinks, and we sat at the bar for the evening. The oysters, clams, and mussels were absolutely delicious. I originally ordered a Grey Goose martini before realizing they only serve beer and wine, so I switched to a Chardonnay, which was great. The experience was nostalgic in the best way. I know the ownership has changed since I first came here, but I was so happy to hear the cook is still the same! It really brought back memories. We had a fun night overall -- although I may have slightly annoyed the bartender by asking her to take photos of us (they didn't come out too well under the lighting). Before we left, another server kindly helped us take a few away from the lights, and those turned out much better. All in all, I'm really glad I came back to give J and J's another whirl. The food was fresh and delicious, the atmosphere was warm and nostalgic, and it reminded me why I loved this place to begin with. You should give it a try too!

Banana Boat -- Boynton Beach (3 stars) Surf & Turf Nachos…read more-- $21 -- "The Mirage Nacho" I only review nachos. That's the whole thing. So I can't tell you about the waterfront, the 40-plus years Banana Boat's been serving Boynton, or the rest of the menu, which, for the record, looked legitimate. I'm here for one plate. The Surf & Turf Nacho sounds incredible on the menu. Filet mignon and shrimp. That's how they get you to $21, and I paid it. Here's what showed up. The filet retired its number after only a few appearances. On a $21 surf-and-turf nacho, the turf scored early and then vanished like a witness in a mob movie. The shrimp came in bigger numbers but arrived whole and uncut, and nobody in that kitchen asked the one question that matters: how does a whole shrimp sit on a nacho chip? It doesn't. It sits on top looking decorative while the chip underneath has an identity crisis. And where would this be without mentioning my old nemesis. Beans. They don't belong on nachos. Ever. If you're using them, you're just trying to make the plate bigger. Maybe you need a big lifted truck too. This isn't a surf-and-turf nacho. It's a nice thought. A dish designed to impress on paper, justify a price, and get photographed; Not to really be eaten as a nacho. It was also a small portion overall. I finished it, but that's not the achievement it sounds like. Finishing a $21 nacho because there wasn't much of it is not a win. It's literally the complaint. Credit where it's due, because I'm not here just to swing: * The queso was actually melted. After a long run of unmelted shredded-cheese disasters around here, that matters. * The guacamole was generous and well made. * It arrived hot, eight minutes out. That counts. * The flavor was genuinely decent. Everything present tasted fine. The problem was what was present, and how little of it there was. The Fork Rule was violated immediately. Rectangular plate, whole shrimp, oversized store-bought chips, everything arranged for the camera. This was never getting eaten with your hands, which means it was never really a nacho. Verdict: 5/10 -- The Mirage Nacho. It looked great on the menu. It tasted decent on the plate. It just wasn't a nacho. The flavor is the only thing keeping it out of the basement. Order it if you want a pretty $21 appetizer. Don't order it expecting nachos. -Florida Nacho Man

I had been to Mussel Beach years earlier and remembered how good the mussels were at that time so I asked my boyfriend if he would like to try it. I ordered mussels steamed in butter, garlic, white wine and lemon - How could they be bad??? They arrived in a large pot with toasted bread for dipping . I enjoyed every bite. They were fresh and tasty!! Although my boyfriend chose a cheeseburger vs mussels, I got what i set out for and I was not disappointed. The mussels are prepared many different ways. I'm sure each dish is as delicious:
